501  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 26, 2012, 12:13:01 AM
I think I can answer number 1... Check p2pool.info for the block which was found, it may have been an orphan. Orphaned blocks will give wallet transactions (on block explorer), but since p2pool didn't actually find the block, the transaction remains unconfirmed.

Didn't even know that page existed. Thank you very much!
503  Other / Off-topic / BFL Trade in questions on: June 25, 2012, 10:18:15 PM
Really sorry if this has been posted somewhere else already, but there are pages of new threads and post about the ASIC miners...  Roll Eyes

My quick question is this: If you don't buy your single directly from BFL, can you still trade in for the 8-pack of of Jalapeņo poppers?

LOL Thanks in advance everyone!
504  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How many bitcoins can be produced in a single day? on: June 25, 2012, 04:27:11 PM
Graet, your math is retarded. If you add 7 more Thash to 13Thash, then you have 20 Thash total of network hashing power. 7 is not 51% of 20. What Mr. Teal is saying is correct. Current miners would have to drop out while the 7 Thash are added in order for the ASIC's to be 50% of the network hashing power (If there are 13Thash now, then 7Thash would have to stop mining as 7Thash of ASIC's commence mining).

Dear god do I want that HX 850. What a sweet psu, and it's sleeved. Wink How many total 6 pin pci-e plugs are there?

Turns out my sister's boyfriend was downloading something on his machine. LOL  Lips sealed

My miners are still uploading shares, but I just tried visiting the website and it appears to be loading extremely slowly. That fact combined with the extremely small number of blocks found today makes me think there might be DDos or connection issues. But I'm in no position to state anything definitive.

My stales have been going down today. Doesn't seem like a total network issue. More isolated. Perhaps there was an ISP issue today?
509  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] x1 5830 [$90 + actual shipping] [US only] on: June 22, 2012, 09:41:38 PM
Rule of thumb: If you expect to make what people make on ebay, sell on ebay. And since there are fees, the seller doesn't actually make that much money...

Good luck selling.

Pm sent.
511  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB: HD 5870 on: June 22, 2012, 05:17:40 PM
Looking to buy just one. I had purchased one and it arrived dead so I need a replacement. I don't currently have the BTC to cover the whole cost, but I have about half if you want to deal in BTC. I can do PP though via gift. PM or post offers. Thanks in advance! Shipping would be to 60190.
512  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] video cards w/ huge aftermarket coolers - gauging interest on: June 22, 2012, 02:23:14 AM
Most (if not all) graphics cards fit in USPS flatrate boxes. They ship priority and are pretty reasonably priced. Just make sure you use an anti-static bag for each graphics card. I got a 5870 in the mail today that was packaged with just bubblewrap and plastic bags... Needless to say there was noticeable static build up when I opened the package and the card was dead. Sad
513  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 1x--->1x PCI-e extension cables on: June 21, 2012, 01:52:35 AM
I have the exact same metal ruler.   Nice ingenuity.  Cheesy

I actually changed to a more rigid wooden ruler to keep the cards elevated. I do love that ruler though! Lol

Cheesy

Got another 5870 on the way and she'll be filled up.

Ps. Sorry for the poor quality.  Roll Eyes

Just wanted to follow up on this. I sent first, the seller sent the items quickly and provided tracking information. I would definitely work with him again. +1 for scifimike12.
516  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: MSI 7970 on: June 20, 2012, 04:00:32 PM
I'll take it. PM me the details you require.

EDIT: He requires BTC for anyone else interested. I am out of this deal.

Just use one of the well established currency exchanges on the forum and get the coins you need...
517  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 20, 2012, 03:59:03 PM
One must also question the efficiency of that miner. When I was still with P2pool, I was around 5% stales (still >100% efficiency), but that will deduct from the actual payout. PPS pools use lower difficulty shares and typically have much lower stale rates.

One of the best affordable mice on the market, and genuinely a good performing mouse. I love mine. Smiley

Any chance we could get a feature added so that we can see which blocks were found by us individually.  I have to my credit 5 blocks, but no idea which ones they were.
"Your" blocks are marked by bold font in the stats table. Currently there is no way to list them all, but you can notice some if you check the stats from time to time.

This information serves no real purpose and is provided for amusement only.

That being said, I just went through 6 months of blocks to find my two, lol.  Unneeded stress on your servers, which can be accomplished by a few lines of code.

Or you could just not give a shit about which exact blocks your miner solves, and there is 0 added stress on his server AND he doesn't have to add lines of code. Smiley

You uh... don't have enough cards there.  Shocked
