You want some of my lovely signature space?
502  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: September 12, 2012, 01:46:54 AM
since I'm kind of new to bitcoin (half a year now active mining) i just dont know how to calculate this Smiley

i payed:

-0.6938 BTC for 20K share to eclipse.

They were delivered to it after the payment (that was around 09.04.12 "MMDDJJ").

How do i calculate this ?

What do you mean "calculate"? If you mean how much you received from buying those shares, check your balance at eclipse.

As long as zux0r keeps active in irc I will continue using gpumax.

BTC Guy the forum has ever right to be pissed off at you. Not to mention you are attacking every user that shoots you down. If you are really going to try and pay people back, start working more on thinking about how you plan on doing so. Repeating that you could just walk away or that you don't have a plan solves nothing. Get to it man, you got some people ready to spill your blood.

My two cents...
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 11, 2012, 11:13:09 PM
5000 Shares
0.00001856/share (100% PPS)

BTC: 5000*0.00001856= 0.0928BTC

5000 Shares
0.10867260/share (97.5% PPS (fee))
1PPC = 0.00017504/btc (Current Sell Price)

PPC: 5000*0.10867260= 543.363PPC
543.363PPC*0.00017504=  0.0951BTC

5000 BTC Shares = 0.0928BTC
5000 PPC Shares = 0.0951BTC

That is why the pool is popular doublec. Once it drops in profitability your hashrate will begone. At the moment mining PPC makes you 102-103% BTC.

507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 11, 2012, 07:22:47 PM
I started mining with Bitparking pool this morning, but I didn't put in a withdraw address.  Am I just mining for DoubleC at this point, or will I eventually be able to withdraw my PPCoins?

Ask doublec to fix it.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitparking PPCoin Pool - PPS, Variable Difficulty, Pays Invalids on: September 11, 2012, 03:44:46 AM
You didn't... oh my god I love you.
509  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1600 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); testing Stratum mining protocol! on: September 11, 2012, 12:17:48 AM
I have both of my workers running on it now, and it seems to be a little faster then just using gui miner to connect to the pool, I just pointed them at localhost:8332 like you suggested.

The only odd thing is that GUI miner is only showing 90khash/s on one worker, and 2.1Mhash on the other worker, but I know that it is churning out faster then it was before (280Mhash/s per worker) based on the number of shares.

From what I understand, with GUIMiner you don't need to use the proxy, it is built into the miner. I might be wrong, slush must clarify.
510  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool with difficulty 32 for less network chatter (HHTT) on: September 10, 2012, 07:48:37 PM
Does anyone else find it strange/funny that someone was mining for a SatoshiDICE address?

1dice7W2AicHosf5EL3GFDUVga7TgtPFn

lessthan 24000 || pays 2.670x

When the pool paid, and if the bet won, DICE would pay back to the pool address, correct?

I bet that was the pool owner testing.
511  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3700 Gh/s] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop,instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: September 09, 2012, 08:10:50 PM
This block... almost 11K shares and counting.
Don't worry. With current difficulty it's even less than 400% D Smiley

That makes it just as bad Tycho. Wink
512  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool with difficulty 32 for less network chatter (HHTT) on: September 09, 2012, 04:37:08 PM
Eh, a little variance doesn't bother me. Difficulty 32 shares on 450MH/s, oh yeah. The paying for stales is what sold me.

Also, I suggest you change the pool title to actually reflect the pool so it is more attractive.

Something like:
[35 GH/s] HHTT: PPS & Variable Difficulty Shares (1 to 65536)/No Stales/No Signup Required

513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price of PPCoin[PPC] on: September 09, 2012, 04:29:23 PM
Should have a negative worth. The creators of scamcoins should pay the Bitcoin devs.

Ironicly, luke doesn't think of it the same way you do.

Finally, a real non-scam altcoin! I'm not about to endorse it just yet, and time will tell if scammers turn it into a scamcoin, but it looks promising so far. Maybe if it keeps clean I'll even add support to Eligius in a few weeks Wink

Also, I've created a branch with the latest bugfixes from Bitcoin-Qt 0.6.x.

Have you read anything about it?
514  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Current Top 10 Pools - Current PPS Rates on: September 09, 2012, 04:22:51 PM
Cleaned up a little bit.
The fee scheme was changed yesterday for HHTT.

You might want to add that HHTT goes by share difficulty for the fee.

50.0 * (1.0 - FEE) * (1 / difficulty)
The fee is calculated as 0.01 + 0.32/share_difficulty
515  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [800 GH] Ozcoin Pooled Mining | DGM | PPS | Pay txn | US and EU servers | on: September 09, 2012, 10:11:27 AM
Feature request.

A per user DGM vs PPS.

Simply, show how much you've made mining DGM, and show how much you would have made mining PPS side by side. Maybe just the two numbers, or if you wanted to take it a step further, graphs displaying over time. Line graph would be better then a bar graph I think. I dunno.

Yes I'm aware of this, but I mean one of those per user, and maybe taking it a step further?
516  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool with difficulty 32 for less network chatter (HHTT) on: September 09, 2012, 04:56:33 AM
With most PPS pools paying for stales I was surprised this pool is not - hence the post...
What PPS pools pay for stales? That sounds like a great way for a pool to bankrupt itself paying out for work that isn't valid.

ABCPool, 50BTC, Bitclockers (I think)

Paying for stales makes sense in my opinion, at least up to some percent. A bad miner might have 2+% stales, a good miner will have 0.1-1%.
517  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [800 GH] Ozcoin Pooled Mining | DGM | PPS | Pay txn | US and EU servers | on: September 09, 2012, 04:32:29 AM
heh
15hours
11M shares
404%
looks bad, but we have had (at lower diff) 800% blocks

not saying I'm enjoying it Wink
looks can be deceiving though Smiley
and yeah, awesome run the other day

ø Shares/Difficulty Ratio:   99.24% - since we started DGM, longterm we are doing ok Smiley

Ouch, glad I am mining at 50btc right now. Smiley
518  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Current Top 10 Pools - Current PPS Rates on: September 08, 2012, 04:14:44 PM
Top 10 pools is list one. List 2 is the PPS rates of the pools in that list?
There are pools in list 1 that are not in list 2, because they are not pps.
I think you meant the opposite of that, where there are pools in list 2, which are not in list 1, which I totally didn't realize until you pointed it out. I thought they were the same.  Wink

Your right I meant the opposite, sorry just woke up.

520  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Current Top 10 Pools - Current PPS Rates on: September 08, 2012, 03:47:30 PM
Let me reiterate. This list is for the Top 10 pools. There may be better paying pools, but in the case above, HHTT is 20x smaller than the smallest pool in the top 10 list.

But there is only 9 PPS pools in that list? If you are looking for high hashrate pools then why is nmcbit on there?
