1181  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [459 GH] MaxBTC.com Pool - Merged NMC, Zero Fee, DGM, LP, API, SSL, Port 80 on: April 23, 2012, 02:56:52 PM
I'm really liking this pool. The site is awesome and the stats are neat. Founds 2 blocks already, some great luck ( knock on wood, been quiet over the weekend ).

2 questions. Does autopayout work? Am I missing something?

On the block stats for the rewards, what does the asterisk mean by some people's names?

Auto Payout requires you donate at least 0.75%. For 1.25% I think you get email notifications about your miners, and 3.5% donation pays you for invalid blocks.

And correct me if i'm wrong, the asterisk beside peoples names has something to do with donating.

You should try talking to Tim at https://hostigation.com/, he takes custom orders. Both locations are 1gbps.

1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating Private Litecoin Pool Between Friends, Where To Start? on: April 22, 2012, 10:01:39 PM
hello, so did you give it a shot? Wink

Yeah actually I did, and I had ecoinpool working just fine. My friends slowly stopped mining so I eventually scrapped it to use the VPS for other things, but not before we mined a few blocks.

Having only one thread makes sense because with two threads your only getting shares from each of them 50% of the time, so theres a bigger chance of stales when longpolling kicks in.
1188  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [102% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 22, 2012, 02:55:30 PM
Started mining here yesterday and I am having a real high stale rate, at 2.5%. At eligius I had 0.4% stale rate,if this continues I'll have to change pools.

Stales and Rejects are going to start counting toward pay soon, that's why it was dropped from 105% to 102%.

1191  Economy / Services / Re: 32GB VPS with 1.5TB Raid 10 Storage = 15 BTC/mo on: April 22, 2012, 01:48:34 AM
If you want it I'll give you access before you pay. "Me first" as the fun-loving skeptics on bitcoin-otc like to say.

Haha that's good enough for me I guess.

Oh another question, how long should I expect my service to stay running? As in, how long will you be keeping your server and selling a part of it to me?

If this offer is still open by next Friday (paycheck) I'll be looking to buy it, cheers!
1192  Economy / Services / Re: 32GB VPS with 1.5TB Raid 10 Storage = 15 BTC/mo on: April 22, 2012, 12:29:45 AM
I'm semi interested, how can I know your trustworthy? It seems a little too good to be true.
Can I see proof that you currently own the server your speaking of?

Talk about luck! 4 Bitcoin blocks in a day.

This Namecoin luck is just great!

TURN DOWN INTENSITY ON YOUR MINERS.

Some miners are wasting there hashs because of high DOA shares. DOA shares don't count towards your payout so your only hurting your own payout.  The hashrate shown on the website includes DOA shares. I will soon be showing DOA hashrate and % DOA.

Intensity should not be set any higher than 8

My 6850 oddly gets more MH/s with intensity at 5 then it does 6+.
1196  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] [Mining contract] 1 millions shares - 1 BTC start price on: April 21, 2012, 01:48:04 AM
1. Buy a million shares
2. Point it at GPUMax, hoping for public work. Have the private pool point at Goat or Clipse's PPS Pools
3. Huh
4. Profit!
1197  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [459 GH] MaxBTC.com Pool - Merged NMC, Zero Fee, DGM, LP, API, SSL, Port 80 on: April 20, 2012, 12:02:58 AM
This pool is NUTS.  I'm not sure exactly how the mechanics work for payouts, I'm getting a good 15% more at this pool than any other pool I've tried (MtRed, DeepBit, EclipseMC).

That's cause the pool is lucky at the moment.
1198  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [105% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 19, 2012, 08:09:54 PM
Pool is having problems it seems, was disconnecting and reconnecting, and now its been down for about 5 minutes.
1199  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [105% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 19, 2012, 10:22:58 AM
Ouch, 101% + Rejects isn't very good news for me.

(Based on 10000 shares, 3% rejects (300), and .000031687 PPS)
PPS*105%:                  .32273
PPS*101% + Rejects:     .32003
PPS*101.5% + Rejects:  .32162

Could you at least manage 101.5?

Otherwise P2PMining.com with its merged mining is more profit for me. By the way, they calculate proportionally according to their thread, but its also based on PPLNS because of the P2Pool backend, so I don't know if there is profit to be made there, but maybe with the Merged Mining you'll make a little more.
1200  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [105% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 18, 2012, 09:25:40 PM
I think soon we will just start paying for rejects.

This is good news, the rejects are killing my profits.
