501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BU (Bitcoin Unlimited) and ETF Newbie questions on: March 07, 2017, 11:46:21 PM
I don't know what to make out of the BU network thought it was a way to speed up the confirmation times on the blockchain but now see others saying it's a form of alt coin.
Very confusing for those who just started using it from all the publicity it has gotten lately caused by the ATH was reached and surpassed in this time.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoins is now same as paypal(and worst) on: March 07, 2017, 11:44:22 PM
If bitcoin ever becomes like paypal has become then I will definitely take a hard look at what other coin I will use from then on in. Cause these transactions fees lately have been making it very difficult to use and the confirmation times in the last week have been just horrendous.
503  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ZCash (ZEC) Margin trading on: March 07, 2017, 11:21:39 PM
I think ZEC is dying so they are stopping trying to promote it's use any longer. And just to let it go away to die forever not be thought of again. Lips sealed
504  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-03-25]Eight Months Since BitLicense’s Inception, Only One License Has Been on: March 07, 2017, 11:19:20 PM
Why do you think the exchanges left New York because of this stupid law being instated so to deal with bitcoins.
This was created by a lawyer so expect to just be a money grabbing scheme and nothing more. Angry

It should die right there and then so it doesn't plague the bitcoin name to the rest of the globe before it is way too late.
505  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: best online btc wallet on: March 07, 2017, 02:37:34 PM
Like to use exodus. Have been looking for a nice wallet and it is one for me with nice interface and fast reaction.
It is downloadable so I don't know if it would be consider a web wallet. Undecided
506  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitsquare.io - The P2P Fiat-Bitcoin Exchange on: March 07, 2017, 12:37:50 AM
Announcement of new brand name for Bitsquare: Bitsquare becomes bisq
https://bitsquare.io/blog/bitsquare-becomes-bisq/
Why are all these exchanges suddenly changing their names?
Haobtc turned to bixin and how about this one?
Why was Dsquared taken? Cheesy
Should of been something catchy like Bit2 expotentially of course. Wink
507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 07, 2017, 12:33:57 AM
Anybody else getting nervous about next week?
I don't know whether to sell or buy right now. Undecided

Place your bets.... I think we will witness chaos either way.

That is true. If anybody has a leveraged position, he is either going to get bankrupt, or very very rich.
I don't have the stomach to take those kind of risks.

I am not leveraged but i am way overweight on btc ownership... i am deciding whether to liquidate into dollars for the next week or so....
So your saying don't bet the house and all your assets on it?
I would imagine there are people who have everything based on the result of it either passing or failing.
There will be people jumping from their windows that day if they did or if they didn't get in on any of the action.

509  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Tipsy - An all new Cryptocurrency Exchange, looking for you developers! on: March 06, 2017, 04:20:24 PM
I am interested to be public relation, and I can translate the thread or whatever the project offers into Indonesian.

At this current point in time we do not require translation. Our primary focus is on development, and a reasonable amount on graphic design.

I mean translating is the other thing I can do as public relation (if you still need PR)

I would be interested in joining your project into the exchange field.
I can do the promotional aspects by giving advice to others in a technical support facet as well, if needed, since I find that the majority of these type of jobs they would do for their new clients in order to show them how the system would work for them and if it would fill their needs.
And I have a Cisco certification so understanding and explaining how the entire system works would be easier for me to implement and initiate then just a regular sales/PR person would be able to do for you and your new startup.

Let me know either way via pm.

Thanks.

I might have an account you would interested in.
Emoneyspace and another one on a foreign forum from 2012 so that is within the required 5 year old account you requested.

"This is fake. There are more real women on Ashley Madison than Imgur."

514  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Remitano proving an alternative to Localbitcoins.? on: March 05, 2017, 10:38:25 PM
Started in April 2016 from facebook and the about pages say about them so their not that new.
And what language is this from their first post on their facebook page?

Chợ Bitcoin Remitano - Bấm để t́m Bitcoin giá tốt ngay
Nơi trao đổi Bitcoin AN TOÀN nhất
REMITANO.COM

I am wary to use this over an PRIMARILY English speaking website having anything to do with money that I am dealing with. Angry

Plus you forgot you posted this same question just a while ago?
Hello Bitcoiners,
If you are interested in buying btc at low prices than localbitcoins, and half the fee..
a new marketplace is in town,Reminato (dot)com or (dot) cn for those in china.
And in a few weeks bringing something revolutionarly in financial market.
Get my ad in reminato China region ,or inbox here if interested in btc,but we will only deal
on the platform ,no otc for trust issues.Go even confirm the prices and fee.
Thank you.
This is not a marketplace, nor an exchange, nor a place to buy bitcoin from. Reminato is a ponzi scheme, that offers 200% returns on "donations" for members. It does not even have a SSL Certificate, and contains a lot of spelling errors.

Why are u even talking about an exchange, when the site literally says it's nothing like an exchange? Are you just advertising your own ponzi scam here?
Located here  Tongue
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1808341.msg18010612#msg18010612

You must be the owner or a PR person for them.
All your threads are about them. Angry
Language of facebook groups should not be a basis of condemnation, anyone can create a group in Facebook.
For instance,i create a group saying bitcointalk and only people are Chinese,or a Chinese locabitcoins Facebook andgroup, that will meean Localbitcoins is a ponzi scheme?
I have checked ,and the language is vietnamese, where the company first was launched.
And as concerned ,i m a seller at Remitano, not the owner or some PR guy, just letting people know of the new p2p marketplace which i have found great.
If anyone has been scammed over there ,say it
Critism is allowed but atleast do not condemn without any basis.
Ok just wanted some clarification. Not accusing anybody of anything. Let me just clear that up now right here right now, ok?
I asked because I am weighting in on which service to use.
I did ask the member right below my reply what their views was on the service he did reply to on the other company's thread that I noticed that they used which is similar to this one.
So just wanted to get the differences and the pros on each service. That is all. For comparisons sake. And if there are any cons either you or him have encountered in using them. Since that is what comparing two service's that two company's offer is used to see which service is right for you. Wouldn't you agree?
What I am asking for are personal experiences and your honest reviews of them since you have claimed to have used them before.
Thank you.
515  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: March 05, 2017, 03:52:30 PM
I can also can confirm it works really well.
Had a stuck transaction because I was testing Electrum last night and put in the lowest possible tx miner's fee the program allowed. Something like 30 sat/byte Embarrassed
I knew it would never confirm with out a little push. Wink
So I put it into the viabtc accelerator and after 3 hours of not moving within 1 hour it moved and confirmed.
Woke up this morning and it was fully confirmed with 8 confirmations no problems reaching it's destination wallet address.
516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest electricity in the world on: March 05, 2017, 02:58:41 PM
I wish I lived in Kazakhstan if the cost for 1 member yearly is 7 Usd. I pay 0.16 cent /kwH electricity so I am only mining with a GTX 750 ti for fun because it doesn't go more than 45 watt in consume this card. Impressive by all means to pay 7 Usd for whole year for electricity. That country has a bright future if you ask me.
You also would be in peril for your life there. Embarrassed
Saving on electricity is worth it to be in a frantic state all hours of the day of being afraid if a bomb is to be dropped on you head one day to the next of that whole year of mining?
My life is worth more than a bill of 7 USD for electricity that's for sure. Undecided
517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest electricity in the world on: March 05, 2017, 12:16:04 PM
Countries with cheap electricity:
Argentina, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Egypt, China, India, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Myanmar, Suriname, Sweden, Trinidad & Tobago, Ukraine, UAE, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.

In China you can go as low as 0.04c/kWh (according to Wikipedia) so that would be the winner.
Heard in Venezuela their electricity is free and it seems from the reports that miner's are being arrested from abusing and taking advantage of this. So it does seem to verify this claim of "free electricity" but at a price of your very own freedom is the cost.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Computer is typing a different BTC address than I copied on: March 05, 2017, 03:15:04 AM
move your coins somewhere more secure.

at this time, I do not have access to my BTC. It is still showing as unconfirmed because of "low fee" but my balance is now zero. The BTC is somewhere in lalah land. Will the transaction fail and I will have access to my BTC again?

OK. So for a small regular TX fee you can get your bitcoins fairly easily out of that electrum wallet (and the computer).
1. Change the fees to be set to being fairly high (enough to confirm, using the dynamic fees option - just in case this is required - it does not alter transactions already sent).
2. Download a mobile wallet (if your coins are stored on a PC).
3. Make a backup of said mobile wallet (not necessary but recommended, if possible with a blank sd card that you can remove and store somewhere).
4. Go to electrum and select the "addresses" tab.
5. Select the addresses with money in them and right click them, select "private key", enter your password, click the QR code icon.
6. On your phone app, select sweep papwer wallet (or something that says sweep in the menu tab) and scan the QR code that is on your screen (Don't share this private key though).
7. Repeat this for all addresses.

It may be useful to do this before an antivirus scan as some of them have a tendency to delete electrum and the corrosponding files (and if you have a lot of viruses it'll be difficult to locate the electrum instance to recover those files - but you can copy the electrum data file).

Another note, don't share your private keys as that gives anyone access to your BTC.
Thanks for this little tutorial on doing this cause I just started using Electrum and have had some difficulty in navigating and understanding what is being done once I do send some bitcoin out from it.
Have some unconfirmed transactions and one being parent so can't make out why it doesn't confirm but will try what you have said to do.
About malware, does anyone know what the strain is called that replaces the wallet address when copy and pasting the one you want too but changes it to the thieves wallet address?
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bribing via bitcoin a good idea? on: March 05, 2017, 12:22:03 AM
I think they call it ransom ware and they do normally ask for bitcoin cause the bribers think they are trace less transaction which is far from the case.
They can all be traced back eventually.
Why do you think the bitfinex coin heist aren't showing movement all that time since it was hacked and now just slowly are they starting to be on the move. Undecided
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 69,000 (69K) Unconfirmed Transactions! ....WTF...??? on: March 04, 2017, 10:42:58 PM
Die waiting for segwit or use Dash instant transactions, top 3 at coinmarket now:

https://coinmarketcap.com
Stop promoting the shitcoin everywhere. It is a clear pyramid scheme that is dying. Roll Eyes
Like ZCASH did with their short lived coin?
What ever did happen to that is it dead buried yet? Huh
I remember when it was all the rave with the kids from Arizona. Cheesy
