501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: October 19, 2017, 08:11:18 AM
Actually, we don't need to explain bitcoin to our children if they are not yet interested to listen about it. Because if we do explain to them about bitcoin, they might be confused and it might lead them to think negatively about bitcoin. We can only start explaining to them if they are already interested to listen to it.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 10:53:21 PM
I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

I do think that one of the main reason some people were against bitcoins was that bitcoins can be disavantageous to them in several ways.  It may also be that they might have a bad experience on the past doing bitcoins and they don't want to go back again. Or possibly they are afraud of it because it is new to them.

There are so many people against Bitcoin because they have not enough knowledge about it. And yes, you might also right that people are afraid because of the bad experienced before in bitcoin. Or they are really very close-minded and they are against to it because they don't want to lose some of their money.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: October 18, 2017, 10:45:00 AM
Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?

It is true that bitcoin has a big impact to the community that's why the demand is getting higher and more investors are coming in also.
and I am one of the  individuals who gave up my job and focus myself into bitcoin.

That's good to hear that you manage to survive giving up your job to focus into earning bitcoin because some are afraid to lose their job while they don't have real earnings in bitcoin. Anyway, I'm so amazed of your strong belief that bitcoin will help you survive when you give your full time for it.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: October 17, 2017, 10:50:49 PM
Keeping other physical asset for your children is very easy but storing bitcoin for your children is very risky because the wallet may be hacked before your children grow to maturity so it needs a high level of security consciousness.

Yes, it could be risky but we also need to do that for their future. All we can do to protect the account not to be hacked is that, save it to the private accounts that your children can open it when they grow up. But you will only tell them if they already reached the maturity age because if you inform them while they are still very young, they might shared the information to their friends.
505  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: October 17, 2017, 09:48:39 PM
I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?
Definitely no. Faith in God and respect to others is more important than money. Maybe you can only see the negative sides of the people around you but you don't notice them in their positive sides. Yes people needs money to buy foods and provide the needs of thri family financially but it doesn't mean that if they earn money, they forgot to go to church and respect people. I believe that only few people you notice is like that but deep within their hearts, there is a love, respect and faith to God.

Actually, I agree to your opinion. Though, all of us people need money in everything we eat, we wear or anything that we need to buy, that doesn't mean that money will be above all things. It may be hard for us to survive without money, but it is more difficult for us if we don't have God in our lives. We all have this desire in our hearts for God. But sad to say, sometimes, we prefer to ignore it just because we feel the need of money to survive.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: October 17, 2017, 10:57:21 AM
Corruption is inherent in humans and it is not limited to political space. Everything we touch gets corrupted. Name it. We corrupted nature, the natural order of things. Even in the inorganic, we introduced malwares into systems.

Back to the point, BTC cannot stop corruption. It can only become a tool in the hands and minds of corrupt individuals and organisations.
Good point! It's just the way of the world. There are people who are born to do those shameless things, people who will do anything just to take the better of other people like scamming, hacking and etc. For sure, there are lots of people who are taking advantage of bitcoin's feature for their own sakes not thinking that they are harming other people with whatever they are doing.

It could be! Because nowadays a lot of scammers are trying to deceive people that they will give the amount of bitcoin in just few minutes and ask you to give your wallet address and after that you will be told to send an amount of bitcoin to the wallet address that they send you so you can receive the bitcoin they sent to your wallet address. But unfortunately it's a big scam. So they are already taking advantage with the use of bitcoin in some countries.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: October 16, 2017, 11:01:06 PM
I buy some small amounts at the dips.

As of now, I didn't buy bitcoin yet. I'm just keep on joining campaigns to earn bitcoin because I want to make it grow and grow and grow so that it would be easy for me to buy bitcoin if i already have a lot of earned bitcoin from the campaign I joined. But sooner or later, I will buy bitcoin, but not now.
508  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: October 16, 2017, 09:47:00 PM
because I don’t need much money right now, so I will save some and convert the rest into fiat money then invest it in other forms, like gold for example. It’s good to be an investment because of its excellent growth so I think there is nothing to worry about and besides I have invested the rest into another form too.
If you don't need money you need to invest into bitcoin because by investing into bitcoin will give you boost to your money because we know that bitcoin is increasing on daily base so its better time for us to invest.

If I will receive 1 BTC from someone, then I will invest it to different types of sites that could legally earn bitcoin so I can make it grow more and more bitcoin. Because you will receive bitcoin from someone and will not find a way to make it grow, then the amount of bitcoin you have will be stagnant. So, it is better to join have some investments and some will be kept for selling purposes in the future.
509  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: October 15, 2017, 10:49:00 PM
Bitcoin is not widely used in my country nor even known. There is really not much option rather using bitcoin for online payments. I do use bitcoin daily for buying my Mobile load. Other than that, I have to convert bitcoin to fiat to be able to make use of it for my daily expenses.

Same here in our country. We don't usually use bitcoin as a means of payment, so until now it is still not known or popular to many people. Only those open-minded people want to use bitcoin as a means of payment for services or other goods online. But we can convert it into our own currency so we can use it for buying things that we need every day.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: October 15, 2017, 09:38:25 PM
China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.

In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.

So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.

Well in my opinion China closing of exchanges affected in someways but they are only one country and Crypto Currency is operating worldwide for sure Bitcoin would be in adjustment stage right now because of those news in China but it will still continue and not even China could stop it.

Definitely not. I don't think bitcoin will die just because China banned it in their country. China government is not very important to make bitcoin survive and increase its price. We have many options so there's no need to worry if China is can't accept bitcoin.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2017, 10:22:25 AM
What would you do when you're talking to someone but then he suddenly talks about his hatred on Bitcoin, what would you react to it?

I've never actually experienced anything like this before, I just want to be prepared when it happened to me.

Actually, we don't have to do something to those people who don't like bitcoin because in the first place, if they are in need of extra money, they are supposed to find ways to know and have extra income aside from their job. If they want to earn, then we don't need for us to convince them because they will be the one to keep asking about it if they are already interested to it.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: October 13, 2017, 04:10:50 AM
You can earn bitcoin without having any investment through joining campaigns but before that you need to make your rank increase so you can join some campaigns. You must be active on posting everyday so that your rank will go higher and higher. After you reach higher rank, you can start to join some campaigns.
513  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: October 12, 2017, 10:59:43 PM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

you must have the courage to invest with bitcoin. if you do not dare then you will never get bitcoin. I recommend not only save on the bitcoin wallet, because it requires a longer period of time. use bitcoin you have to get more bitcoin.

Aside from having courage, you must also have a decent amount of bitcoin to start with.
That's why rich people tend to get richer than poor people who have to climb their way up.

But for us who are living in an average status, we only have to dream about having the courage of enduring in earning bitcoin not to become rich but just to have spare money to save or for future expenses that we might have for our future plans.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: October 12, 2017, 10:22:25 PM
Guys sorry for this question above but I would like to ask here that

What is the difference of Trading to Investing?

though I know that I can search it in google but I want an answer from those people who have already experienced this two.
Thank you.

I hope you can help me in my confusion..

In my opinion trading and investment is have differences.Trading is a part of investment method that you can earn money or Bitcoin.Investing is a method that how you make more money or Bitcoin in different investment method. Grin

That's it! You're right. If we talk about trading, it's like we are exchanging something to other people and you can have a profit. When talking about investing, you will give money to make it grow depends on how successful the business you are investing.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: October 12, 2017, 04:19:28 AM
Actually, we really don't know how long bitcoin will survive because it only depends on the situation. Maybe it will survive forever if people especially investors will continue to invest in bitcoin. But if not, then we don't know what will really happen next.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: October 11, 2017, 09:51:53 PM
I think we can start explain bitcoin by tell them that bitcoin is like other international currencies dollar, euro and many else. They will understand and you explain more about bitcoin.

That's a good idea. Children may not understand if you will explain bitcoin in detail but if you will let them know that this is like international currencies, there's a possibility that they could understand that bitcoin is really important just like money they always want to have. In that way, you lessen your time in explaining them because from the word currency, they will already understand it.
517  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: October 10, 2017, 10:31:50 PM
So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
>mining
>making a lot of Bitcoin
oh boy son

If anything, in order to encourage better spending habits, they should have been required to save some money for toys they wanted to buy as a kid instead of buying everything for them. I don't know if this is something that was tried on them but it worked on me growing up. Bitcoin is just another means of wealth and it doesn't really encourage saving that much for most people who maintain their own finances, in whatever way that may be.

Maybe it is one way of encouraging kids to save. But I don't think it will really teach them to save because if their parents didn't show them the right way of saving, it's useless because they cannot see the advantage of saving since their parents are not doing or practicing it. So, it's really up to the kids if they will realize how important it is to do savings.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade based on your emotions? on: October 10, 2017, 09:57:26 PM
You should not decide based on your emotions. It is very important to use you brain in trading industry. It requires analyzing the situation. If you will just trade because you you want to, there is a big chances that you would fail and might lose your investment. So think before you trade. Think seven times and be wise.

You're right. Trading should not be based on the emotions because our heart is a deceiver. What we feel is not what will really happen. So, it's not good to trade just because you feel like trading without thinking about the outcome of your decision.
519  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 10, 2017, 02:06:31 PM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Yes of course it is not gambling. Bitcoin is a digital currency. It actually depends on how you use it. If you use it as a currency then there's no gambling at all. But by the time you enter trading, there's a bit of gamble there because the risk is just like you are gambling. But if you buy and hold till you can gain profit, it is not gambling; it is investing into something that you believe it will give you profit when the right time comes. So, that's all for my opinion.
if they think it as gambling, maybe they not trusting it and it their taking their move as a risk, even entering is a risk but we are not putting our decisions on luck alone since we need some skills and knowledge to be successful.

We can't deny that people have different ideas and opinions about bitcoin. But one thing is for sure we all know, especially to those people who really know about bitcoin that bitcoin itself is not gambling. Maybe there are some gambling sites that you can earn bitcoin but that doesn't mean that bitcoin is gambling.
520  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: October 10, 2017, 02:40:24 AM
Quote
Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27

Yes, of course. I am willing to give bitcoin as a gift as long as the newly wedded couple are into bitcoin. But if they are not into bitcoin, I need to give them another gift because they might not appreciate the gift that I will give them if they are not into it. When we give gift to someone, we also need to consider their likes and dislikes so what we give will be useful to them.
