5001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 20, 2020, 02:08:59 PM
This will be the rise of Connor after the downfall, Sure it's a mismatch, but it's a stepping stone to fight someone bigger. This would be an easy win to Connor. I hope he can go back after the sideways win and lose in the previous year.

Conor helped build to where the UFC is today because he helped take it to the next level with his talent as showman and a troll. There was no one else before him in this level. He is the cause of why this sport has many casual fans hehehehehe.
Conor McGregor put more eyes into the sport because of his trash talking skills and his cross over to boxing brought yet another fan base and he is a showman but after that his graph went down because of his troubles outside the fight arena and Donald Cerrone is the perfect return fight and i hope he will not take on Khabib once again as he has other great fights for the fans to see and with a new champion in 145 pound division i hope he will once again challenge the champion in that division rather than challenging anyone in higher weight divisions.

On his days when he was training diligently he was also one of MMA's best fighters. Remember the unbeatable Jose Aldo during his time? Conor knocked him out in a few seconds.

I watch this fight, and surely this is one of the best highlights of his career, I'm Connor fan, so I hope he can come back to this fight. I am hoping for Khabib and Connor rematch, and I hope he can win it, every Connor lose is mostly on the grounds hope he can manage it now.

Just quoting my reply LOL, easy win! 40 seconds and it's done. I knew this is will be Connor year! haha. The fight showcase how Connor recover from his lossess and those shoulders are deadly!

BTW, with regards to Khabib and Connor rematch it's happening! I hope this is going to be a great fight, their last fight is easy win for Khabib, I am hoping for Connor to win this!

Source about the Khabib and Connor fight: https://www.businessinsider.com/nurmagomedov-vs-mcgregor-is-the-next-fight-dana-white-says-2020-1?
Not sure if this is legit, but I hope it is.

Somehow my instagram is filled with posts that Cerrone lost this fight on purpose...
Saying that he didnt even wanted to fight that night and never act so passive in the fights.
There is a lot of rumors surround the fight because there was no offensive move from Donald Cerrone and everyone is calling for a fix but i highly doubt that you can get off fixing fights right now because the consequences are really high and the UFC will be prosecuted if they ever did that, so these rumors are social media created and nothing else.

Win is win LOL, Those brats that are talking that Connor just win because it's scripted shouldn't watch UFC. Those are just nonsense rumor what you see is what you get in UFC, Connor win no script, no fixing of fight or anything.
5002  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to GOLD on: January 20, 2020, 12:43:20 PM
Dividing your funds into different kind of asset is a basic move for any investor. Yes! Invest in bitcoin and gold, going all in, in one asset is risky and not professional at all. What will look like a dumb way for investment, buy some bitcoin and alts or bitcoin and gold.

BTW, There's a new project that you can buy a digital gold so buying and selling gold will be easier considering that, it is a online platform and the fee will be lower than buying a physical gold and selling it to the store.

You can read about that project here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5161544

5006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 17, 2020, 03:38:52 PM
That would be an easy win for Manny if the fight will be in boxing rules or easy win for Connor if that would be in the octagon. Both fighters have different fighting styles and stamina because of their sports. I think this match will be just for money, and the results will be too predictable.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this kind of fight, this is just for money, but the fight will be boring to watch because the results are pretty easy to predict.
5007  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 17, 2020, 10:38:21 AM
Man, your topic, I don’t really get it. The government is not fighting against Bitcoin because they don’t want their citizens to be millionaires, it has to do with reasons that are completely far from that – the first reasons is because of crime, a lot has been said about BTC being used for crime. Bitcoin has become a popular method of transfer for those in the dark web. Another reason is fiscal policy –the government does not accept any currency that it cannot control.

There are lots of reasons why the government needs to have control over currency, first is avoiding inflation’s that are out of control, generating jobs, stimulating investments and spending, etc. Since bitcoin is decentralized, it’s not possible for them to control it, but they can still have partial control through centralized exchanges.
I think the first reason should be the tax, you cannot tax a freelancer or any individual that is using bitcoin as a mode of payment. Even the business that are currently using bitcoin, it's very hard to track it. Just mix your coins and it's all good. you are now invisible into the governments eye, but for business I think that would be risky.

With regards to the topic, government wants it's people to be millionaire LOL, it means more tax and their countries average leaving will go up. No government want's their people to be poor because that will be a government problem.
5008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sources of income? on: January 17, 2020, 09:16:24 AM
Airdrop, mining. I signed up for airdrops. But only a few of them gave me tokens, which are in small amount and are of almost no value. I have been mining Pi network. But I doubt it will ever be tradable on exchanges. So I do not find these methods as a good way to earn tokens. Rather I find bounty campaigns a good way.
Airdrop these days are not that popular, My suggestion is avoid it because, it can be a waste of time or it can lead you to losing your money or your private information. First, if you click a phishing link it can hack your PC or your wallet (if you are using a web wallet). And if that airdrop is demanding a KYC you can lose your private information there and it can be use in illegal activities.

I find bounty campaigns a good way.

Regarding bounty campaigns, it's very hard now to see a legit one or a promising one. Some bounties even though they have a great background and great objectives they are turning out to be a scam, So I think be careful to those campaign, if you find a good one then, you are very lucky!

5009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 17, 2020, 05:54:05 AM
I think all of the gamblers think of that way, haha, Just think of all the people that are betting in a lottery, that is a one-way ticket to financial freedom/goal. Personally, I am thinking of that way too if I was just able to hit the jackpot in gambling. Still, after I guess years of gambling, my hopes became zero to that. I just make gambling for entertainment purposes because, as long as I want to get that jackpot, my money continuously losing. If I save those money I think I will be closer somehow to my goal. Gambling will make you win sometimes, but after that, it will empty your pocket. Be a responsible gambler; achieving financial freedom through gambling is almost impossible.
5010  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Doubt the possibility of a scam] BestChange Bounty and Signature Campaign. on: January 16, 2020, 01:56:20 PM
Question to those, who tagged red user Best_Change

Do BestChange bounty campaign participants risk to be tagged red? If they don't make payment to participants, then they are tagged for reason and it turns out that participants were promoting scam.

I've made an application post to participate in social media bounty campaign before BestChange was tagged. What should I do now? Do the tasks or not? What will happen if I made weekly report ?

Because right now everything is turning into 1) do the tasks = risk of being accused of promoting scam = red tag 2) don't do the tasks = not receiving payment / possibility to be kicked from campaign.

The whole situation turns to be a "lose-lose" situation for participants...

You should do the task! Reasonable DT will not tag any participants until it is proven scam if Best change turns out to be a scam, then you should stop participating, But for now, do the task!

If that case happens, some DT started to red tag participants, many good DT will fight for those participants that are going to be red-tag. This whole thread is just an accusation and no confirmation, just do your thing.

We should wait for the first round to be ended if they are legit or scam. But for now, there's no need to worry about getting red-tag.
5011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: January 15, 2020, 08:01:33 PM
In what game do you mean by that word 'often'?
Not specifically a certain game, but in general.
Quote
I don't know about the other games but I'm pretty sure that in Dota 2 and CSGO the percentage of fixed match is small especially if its big tournament or atleast minor tier.
I'm a fan of Esports and never heard any of fixed match game, if these cases are true then might as well provide a solid proof that supports your claim even on less known tournament because it will be an Esport scandal that every fan must know. As a player, a hoping player to get better in a game who is dreaming to get into a world stage and show off my skills, selling my gameplay is just another way of me robbing myself.

Quote
I still think that fixed match cases in esports are way less than sports, based on two games that i mentioned before.
eSports still seem much easier to fix. In a real match where players are sweating and beating each other up, primal emotions become more obvious, impulsiveness and anger often fuel a player to forget his promise to the bookie to lose the match and may end up doing something rash which may lead to a win. Chances that the big whale who paid the team to take part in fixing ends up going South.

Thats what I have felt in game, but play acting is also possible so you may have a point worth discussing too.
I have to disagree on you, fixing an Esport game is way harder to do than the other games since it will not only need  a single person to fixed the game but the whole team, whole brand of the team including their sponsors. Fixing a game is not a one man job, this already tells us that Esports scene is authentic and true to its passion.

I know several players who cheated on international stage, Esports is not rigged and they kicked them out.
5012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling cashback services? on: January 15, 2020, 07:03:25 PM
I know there's a few here that posted a similar service but I couldn't avail their service because I already had existing accounts on the sites they offer and if I made a new one it would result in multi accounting.
I wish I knew it since the beginning. I have never tried it before, the cashback system of a gambling site, Honestly I never thought there is something in existence that uses a cashback system in gambling.

Cashback reffering ?
actually I don't like the referral program, sometimes if we have a lot of followers it will be seen doing an abuse.
Having a lot of gamblers using your link doesn't always mean it's an abuse unless the casino finds a proof where the accounts are linked.
Definitely, although referral program is a great way to scatter the platform, there will always be that popular link who will be a suspect for abusing the said program. I once a suspect of the said example as I posted my referral link in my twitter account "publicly", little did I know that people would actually use my referral code in signing up so in the end the platform contacted me and warned for possible punishment. They did not even let me reply to them lol.
5013  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whales keep getting richer and richer while everybody else is losing... on: January 15, 2020, 06:24:16 PM
I knew it already since I learned many things regarding trading and crypto in general.

It is almost the same as our current world is right now. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Same in crypto, the rich which are the whales are becoming richer and the poor who are the newbie investors are getting poorer. Unless you can trade with perfect accuracy and all of your bets are profit then you can be a whale in the future but that is impossible.
I couldn't agree more with this, I'm not rich in real life either I must say I belong to the average class of people. Believe it or not, there is huge gap between rich and poor in terms of physical value, that's the edge of rich people they can easily pull up things when they wanted to unlike the poor ones. Same pattern here in crypto spacce, whales are big fishes scattered in the sea, most of them are daring to hunt the small fishes for their own good while small fishes hunts their food and needs a long time to grow along with the whales. However you can't blame anyone for what they have, it is given to them by the cruel life.

Some are saying "Follow the whales". The question is Do you know when they will pump it?? Unless you have an insider from them then you can but most of us here doesn't have so whales can pump the market while we are sleeping or while we are having a bath. They can pump it anytime they want and dump it anytime they want too.
"Follow the Whales" is too optimistic for me, if you were just a small investor/holder you will not consider the hold until it gets zero option, why? because basically whales do afford to lose, As simple as that. Aside the effect of you compared to the whales are incomparable.
5014  Economy / Economics / Re: CEO of $150B investment fund says:it's just about time for the dollar to weaken on: January 15, 2020, 05:46:48 PM
All three reasons are quite solvable solutions but they just basically ignore it, I blame it on the american political system being built on bribes and donations so much and how politicians are basically in the pockets of the companies which is why it can never be fixed unless they take the money out of politics.
Perhaps they are aware of the problems but their political interest weighs more.

Foreigners are leaving USA depends on where you are from, some people leave because they are not wanted there (like middle east people who are treated badly by republican places) and all the Europeans saw that USA basically screwed itself and better to be in EU than USA, Asians are not leaving that frequently because that is still better to be in USA.
Foreigners are leaving because USA is just too expensive, just remember that cost of living in US is different from the other country. I have to disagree with you in what you have said " Asians are not leaving that frequently because that is still better to be in USA." , It's not about the race but the affordability of the individual. There are americans who can't live somewhere in Asia due to different food preference, or even European. That is what I mean.

Fed can have a law that says it has to pass congress to print money and we would solve it instantly, but there is this cry for fed to be independent when Fed is basically banks friend so it is not independent, instead of politicians, bank CEO's decide on what FED does and that is not acceptable at all, if it was truly free and independent I would say that is best option but it is not like that, budget deficit is not easy to solve, that is actually a quite difficult thing to figure out how to stop.
Feds messed it up, they made a move on which is very suspectful and target for frequent questions making themselves silent in the corner. What they did? they just put the congress between them and the printer, pretty obvious what's behind right? Dollar index fell, Euro and Yuan is rising, putting congress before printing money will make it avoid the questions, let the congress answer, and let them run smoothly.
5015  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Futures Manipulation on: January 15, 2020, 05:11:56 PM
Not that anyone with one billion dollars would ever go into future manipulation like that because we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars lost if they can't do what they are trying to do, don't get me wrong it may sound easy to you but this is a market with billions of dollars of volume and there is a high chance you can achieve what you are trying to do if you have one billion dollars but on the off chance you fail, that is hundreds of millions of dollars, not hundreds of dollars.
It may sound easy for small scale investors still huge amount of money can get the market easily manipulated. Billions of dollars can be doubled up, trust me, if that person only knows what to do and when to do it. Such huge amount can set traps to center the speculation and then out, just like that. Things are pretty easy when you have money, that's the reality.

However, even if they want to do what you are saying, they have to first buy a lot of bitcoin before buying long, you need bitcoin to buy bitcoin long anyway, so they can only buy a lot of bitcoin after the long with whatever is left, same with buying short futures with bitcoin as well, then sell the rest, so they can't do huge moves with one swift motion, they have to keep putting it into two different things.
It is legal since we are talking no rules about that, they can do whatever they want with their money and it's up to them to decide where they are going to take it. But I doubt the price of bitcoin is reflected from this, speculation is still the core of its price we just have to admit that there are just unequal effects.
5016  Economy / Economics / Re: 10M Bitcoins Haven’t Moved in More Than a Year, Highest Since 2017 on: January 15, 2020, 04:27:38 PM
How many of these coins are lost? Somewhere I read that 3 million to 4 million BTC can't be spend, because no one have the private keys to access them. Satoshi's coins alone account for more than BTC980,000.
As for analysis made by Wall Street Journal, there are 20% lost bitcoins in total supply that's probably from 3 million to 4 million of bitcoins. Lost bitcoins are unrecoverable, thank you to those people who forgot and lost their access keys because of them we are much pretty sure that bitcoin won't kiss the ground anymore. If there are 10M unmoved bitcoins over a year, does it mean something tragic will happen in the future? I'm very doubtful on such amount of unmoved bitcoins.

On top of that, we have coins that were once owned by dead people such as Gerald Cotton and Alexandru Bogdan Semenciuc, which are now lost.
I'm pretty sure these people mentioned above is thinking enough after they die, they definitely give the access to their heirs to benefit from it. Or they already sold it before they die and give it to their family nonetheless they give to some financial institution to take care of it.
5017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make mining sustainable on: January 15, 2020, 03:08:17 PM
Interesting to keep the environment clean.
But there are a lot out there which needs some focus first before going for bitcoin.
How old bitcoin is? Why is it questioned now with pollution?
Same question. It is sad seeing the world on fire now especially in our rain forests, pollution contaminating both water and air but what these things can connect to bitcoin mining? All miners are just consuming electricity power and that has nothing to do with pollution, climate and environment changes. Mining operations uses a lot of electricity because of high capacity chips producing E-waste consuming 54 terrawatt per hour a year and If you don't know how much electricity is that, the average estimated consumed power of mining is the same as what the Switzerland is consuming in a year.

This world will be abused by human no matter what goal we look to save it.
What happening to the world right now is more of like the consequences of modernization. Have you seen the path of bushfire in Australia similar from what the possible loop train project? I'm not sure about this one but I think that's how they deal with the environment. sucks.
5018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving: Does it places an important role in the crypto market or not? on: January 15, 2020, 12:49:44 PM
if you look at block reward halving as a design to have a finite supply and a controlled supply distribution (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply) then yes, halving plays a very important role in the crypto world as the combination of having a cap and decreasing the reward is making it deflationary.
Well halving is designed for bitcoin to become the digital gold making it to the limit will make it stable if all were going to accumulate and it will going to be the highest in economic class. The deflationary aspect of bitcoin is given by that event on which the exact time and date of occurrence is still unsure but most of the estimation based on pattern of the past halving is on last week of May up to June.

but when you think of halving as a price pumper then no it has no role to play whatsoever. specifically not in crypto market as a whole. when speaking of the market, the demand is the more important factor not the supply.
price pumper? I guess it does since every halving follows by a high demand resulting the price to increase and I think the trendiness of bitcoin compare to the last halving that occurred in 2016 is way bigger than it is now so most probably that will going to have a massive impact on bitcoin price although 85% of total supply has been mined. Does it play a vital role? for me it's a YES.
5019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2020 betting on: January 15, 2020, 11:15:14 AM
I have been considering betting on Oscar for quiet a while now, and I’ll soon decide how much funds I can spare and bet on this. The following are my predictions:

1) In the best picture category I would select Joker because I loved that film, and I truly believe that it deserves to win.
I've watched the Joker and I have nothing to say about the movie coz it was great. I just want to comment on how it reflected to me, it seems like Joker shows that life has no ultimate meaning and it rejects the good principles in short it was about negativity. I don't know how would the judges choose among great movies, I don't know their criteria some might and might not agree on me. Many claim that this is the movie of the year but have they watched the rest of nominees? like Parasite from Korea I guess they didn't.

2) For the Best Actor Award I’ll choose Joaquin Phoenix, and I believe many of you’ll will feel the same way too ain’t i right?
I think you only watched a single movie among the nominees, Indeed Joaquin Phoenix did a spectacular acting on that movie to the point that he owns the whole movie but frankly speaking Leonardo DiCaprio deserves the best actor award for the second time. Betting on this kind of choices is pretty hard though, I'd rather not to give it a call.
5020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: January 14, 2020, 04:16:38 PM
I seldom use betting tips but I definitely don't use betting tips with charges. Since I don't often use betting tips, I only tried other people's tip that was for free. I have seen a lot of good people sharing their tips and strategies here for free without charging anybody. But it doesn't mean I always follow free tips. It depends if I feel it will work or not. Trusting someone's strategy is already a risk. Would you even also risk your money for that??
Testing tips will be okay for me, As long as you are not putting a lot of money on that tip or if you are confident with that, you can start to increase the bet on that specific game. Tips are information for a random player or user, so my suggestion is you can trust it or not, it depends on you but, there's a possibility that it will be effective so I highly suggest that test it for a small amount of money.

I have seen a lot of good people sharing their tips and strategies here for free without charging anybody.

Charging people for betting tips? I don't hear that kind of service, but I highly suggest that you should not trust any service that offers that. There's a higher chance that it can be a scam. And it's just tip so there's no guarantee that it will work for you so don't waste your money on that.
