3. More helpful when economy crisis happens
Bitcoin is not a safe haven in a situation of an economic crisis, in fact an economic crisis can lead to bitcoin crashing in price and people losing large chunks of their investments. For example in the case of this corona pandemic(which is an economic crisis), I think more people will consider fiat more helpful at this time, and will even sell their bitcoins to hold fiat,  for it's spontaneity in meeting their needs.
I will disagree to this. Bitcoin is more popular that fiat right now considering that, the virus itself can transfer using fiat. And more people are using online currency or online banking right now to make a transaction cause of the gear of getting the virus. And actually a lot of gamblers right now are going to try online gambling cause all of the casinos in their place are close (if their country is on lock-down). Bitcoin and other online currency are more popular in this crisis cause it helps us to transact without having a contact to the other person.
4422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banking system on: April 27, 2020, 01:55:46 PM
Hello! What's your opinion could BTC kill banking system? Bitcoin has an advantage over fiatbecause its amount is limited and it can't fall under inflation.Inflation usually is caused by monetary policies of our central banks. Bitcoin is free from inflation, governement control and high transaction fees.Banks can’t control BTC because it has no representative and is fully decentralized. That's why banks are afraid of BTC.

.If u like donate to my address :  19fCVjYVuppjhSvZc4fYimLSjTv63SyoYD

It would never kill banking. At some point where plenty of people with less prior crypto knowledge would all start using btc, banks would adapt and instead of i.e, usd saving accounts, they would make btc saving accounts. I pretty much think bitcoin will kill most fiat currency's. Governments dont like btc since they dont print it, we do.
Banking already upgraded, almost all(or all of them?) of the banking here in our country have online system now. So basically, Bitcoin being online is equal to online banking! The only thing that keeping them separated is the concept of those two currency but who cares! They are just both currency that have their own features. In my opinion, those those shouldn't be compared since, with cryptocurrency and banking system our economy are being upgraded and they are just working just fine as what they are right now.
4423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when the last Bitcoin gets mined? on: April 27, 2020, 04:42:07 AM
According to various sources, Bitcoin will be Maining till 2140, a very long time that maybe a lot can happen within 120 years of it, even the fee can be effective, we can see the success of Bitcoin in just 10 years. , And 120 years will go beyond the idea, I do not know what happens after 120 years, we may not see it. But after Bitcoin Maning is over, I think there will be a continuum of the value of Bitcoin then, and Bitcoin will be used all over the world then, my idea will then be the reign of Bitcoin.
But you are forgetting that in the year 2030, almost 98% of the bitcoin is going to get mined. and the last 2% will last until 2140. If this is really going to happen, the question should be: what is going to happen on 2030? we all know that bitcoin price is based on supply and demand so what's goingh to be the next move by the whales if it's true that 98% of the total bitcoin supply is going to get mined on 2030.
4424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: April 27, 2020, 04:05:53 AM
It is true that the corona virus has a significant effect on the world of sports, all sports competitions must be stopped simultaneously.
This makes sports gambling also stop, I who used to play sports gambling is forced to play gambling online now. In the end, those
who are get used to playing sports gambling must find other alternatives, because the casino has also been closed. The only alternative
is online gambling that we can do now.
Not just the game itself is affected, our traditional gamblers too! If they are not computer literate, they cannot gamble at all considering that, all of the casinos are close because of the lock-down well, if you r country are not affected in this pandemic you are lucky but lot of country now are affected by it and almost all of them are on lock-down so there's no way our traditional gamblers, can gamble. It is a huge blow to the gambling industry, they are losing games and players.
4425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If we are to start from beginning. on: April 26, 2020, 10:25:09 AM
With the spread of the corona virus destroying the world economy, then if covid-19 pandemic could end. Of course the economy will
start over from recovering. If the economy starts from the beginning I want bitcoin to be an alternative payment option besides Fiat,
I expect bitcoin and fiat go together to make the economy rise. Hopefully with the crisis, the government can learn a lot that the
economy needs the presence of bitcoin.
It was then in consideration for the company itself to accept crypto and fiat after this.

I believe that everyone is learning a lot from this pandemic, we want a new beginning after this and we all wanted a change after all but I wasn't confident that crypto will different to this time. Only we need people to adopt the system and appreciate it.

it was not crypto or other businesses to rebuild but it was the attitude of the people which I am thinking that there is too much greediness and competition inside.
After this crisis I am sure that many people/businesses and some of the government will going to start the implementation of online payment or digital payment. Fiat and crypto is not going just like you think cause, the government can make fiat an online gateway to this kind of situation, and still bitcoin transaction is really low and the fee is so expensive if you are going to use it on a micro-transaction. So in reality no people are going to use bitcoin as a medium of payment because it's not convenient. I hope some cryptocurrency will be created that will solve some of the issue like instant transaction speed and no fee at all, and if possible is it can travel offline. With that features I am sure that people and even the government is going to use cryptocurrency.
4426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet advice? on: April 26, 2020, 06:30:33 AM
Hardware wallet is the best! Just buy a ledger or trezor and I am sure that your going to be safe. All online wallets have a horror story and all of them are not  100% safe, only offline wallets and hardware wallets are safe and you can guarantee that your money is in your own hands. Coinbase is a good one but still it is a online wallet and your money is not in your own hands. Invest some money on hardware wallet if you want maximum security.
4427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Started Gambling Because You Want To Be Part Of A Gambling Campaign on: April 26, 2020, 03:56:20 AM
I'm a gambler before I discover and join bitcointalk LOL, I am playing at cloudbet that time and we have a group of gamblers discussing on which basketball team we are going to bet and later that year after researching I discover bitcointalk and until now enjoying my stay here!  Grin And yes! until now I still playing at cloubet and gambling to that platform. I am not a high roller but I just enjoy gambling. I am not at gambling campaign right now but I am still playing  Smiley
4428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: April 26, 2020, 03:27:10 AM
Those people or a player who gonna play until midnight is sign that you are being addicted because that time is people are going to sleep or they are rest now. But maybe because you have difficult to play is because you have think that you gonna want to play more and win when you play .

I think I somehow get your point. You mean those people playing from the day until midnight, those who sacrificed their sleep just to gamble. I agree with you, it is a sign of addiction if one gamble for a whole day until midnight disregarding the responsibilities he should've done.  However, not all gambler playing until midnight is an addicted gambler. Maybe its just the available time for him to gamble and enjoy. Maybe he has a job and it is the only time he finds for playing. He can gamble at midnight and be a responsible and productive person again the next day.
Nahh, choosing gambling rather than sleeping is a huge sign of gambling addiction just like gaming! When you choose something instead of sleeping just to have a pleasure/enjoy doing it is a sign of a addiction.

Back to the topic. Yes, when I am losing a huge amount of money I am having a difficulty in sleeping considering that, I keep repeating the scenario in my mind thinking what do I do wrong and what if I do this move and more what if's. My coping mechanism to this is watching movie first and then, sleep after that so that, I will forget my loss and to enjoy sleeping.
4429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: April 26, 2020, 02:29:47 AM
I do not agree with OP. In my opinion, no one could win consistently yes even with skill based gambling. Because, for consistent winning you must have high level of discipline which may not be possible with an entertainment because there are plenty of chances for you to slip down somewhere when you are too excited about your entertainments.
Even if you have this, chances of consistent winning is impossible.

There is no chance that a gambler with a high level of discipline will consecutive times especially in games like this where it is pure luck. I remember the online game that I'm playing right now. It is purely RNG (items can be get thru pure luck) and even you used many bucks to buy some stuff, there is no 100% chance that you can get the item. It is the same with gambling. Even you put a million bucks there, the chances that you will win isn't 100% because it is still 50/50. Either you lose or fail.
There's a lot of gambling that is not based on pure luck just like poker! It is skilled base gambling which you are going to win consistently if you are good in that game, I read a thread here in gambling section which he is earning through gambling and he is doing it for a living, Imagine how he do it for a living if it is just a pure luck game. As long as your game is skilled based there's a high chance that you are going to win consistently as long as you are very good at it. Just imaging those poker champions  Grin
4430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is why the world needs bitcoin on: April 26, 2020, 02:13:04 AM
Unfortunately the government considers bitcoin not worthy of payment, because it cannot control and the price is volatile.
Though bitcoin is more effective as a payment, especially for transactions abroad. I also experienced the same thing when
buying goods abroad with a credit card, about a week a seller receives the money. So learning from this experience I decided
to use bitcoin if want to buy goods from abroad.
Yeah, but using paypal as payment method when buying abroad is really a good one! Using bitcoin is risky for me considering that, it is easy to use as currency for scam after you send it there's no way you can get your money back after that! Paypal is the best for me with regards to transaction abroad, you can gwet your money back when you got scammed but the fee is huge. Bitcoin is prefer if you are just transferring your money to abroad but when buying goods I don't see it as a good option.
4431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag? on: April 25, 2020, 04:35:52 PM
I have one friend who used to play dice in stake.com, he started with a very small fund ($100), out of that money, he managed to have a balance of 24 ETH at some point but unlucky guy lost everything in one day. Once again, with the bonus he got from stake, he managed to cross 30 ETH within less than a month but yesterday, he lost everything once again.
How come he lost everything one day? Do most of the gamblers lose money in such way?

He does not know how and when to stop, if you don't have it then you are in a tough luck, you must know your limit when playing, there are a lot of gamblers who lose everything, some of them ruin their life by losing and getting a loan from loan shark and lose it all again, this is one reality of excessive gambling that people should be aware of.
He is not a a responsible gambler, cause every gambler know that if they win that kind amount of money they will cash out some of it and play some of their winnings. I have a lot of friends that after they win they are securing some of their winnings and play again, same with me! When I win in gambling I will secure some and play again until I win again or if I lose my dedicated money for that game I will quit and call it a day. That kind of person are usually getting broke because of gambling cause they didn't know how to quit when they win.
4432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Covid-19 a cause for BTC price drops? on: April 25, 2020, 02:21:02 PM
Bitcoin has already recovered from the dump, it was just the an instant reaction that resulted a dump, but that was only cause by the panic, and those who bought at that price are now so lucky to sell almost double of the price they accumulated. Actually, even if bitcoin will end at $7k+, we can still say that 2020 is not a bad year for bitcoin considering we have the pandemic this year.
Also remember that the halving is near so bitcoin price will certainly go to the moon! If you are gonna look at the chart and check some history, bitcoin price is getting pump after the halving and I am sure that this is going to happen in this halving considering that, we are already seeing it's movement and it's going to to the moon! So it's really go decision to buy more bitcoin now and see the price to go up  Grin Grin
4433  Economy / Economics / Re: The drying oil on: April 25, 2020, 01:22:40 PM
Well, this is going to make a lot of people understand that cryptocurrency is not the only asset or stock that can crash.Every market in the world, none is above falling, especially at a time like this. When this Coronavirus outbreak started a lot of assets and stocks started falling, and the good thing is that Bitcoin was able to recover after the slight fall, unlike so many others that found it difficult to recover. The cryptocurrency market has been recovering as of recent. Altcoins like Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, ChainLink and a lot of them are doing just fine. I don’t see any other investment that is better than investing in cryptocurrency right now, just a few out there can compete.
Anything can fall with just one bad news , with oil I am not very sure but I think it's the virus considering that the number of people using their cars have been lessen and the demand for the oil has been drop cause majority of countries that is affected by COVID are on lockdown right now. The other thing is the oil market has trigger a "short squeeze" so number of investor starts pulling out their money and they all started to short the oil. Anything can happen on the market, it just really takes a one bad news or someone big time messing up their money.
4434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: April 25, 2020, 06:22:57 AM
It kinda has. Before lockdown, I used to gamble only in the spare time. It was like a way to get out of routine. In the intital days of the quarantine, I gambled a lot and then I realized if I continued I would go bankrupt! Hence I locked my coins for weeks now Cheesy

Its being a opposite for me as I have tried to explore many other options and finding this lockdown to connect to people, explore more and more of my passions and learn and re-learn many things. Learn cooking and read books etc. This does not happen during the normal routine if life.

Same with me mate! I am investing right now on my self by learning new things, I am currently taking online classless at udemy and reading books for my self development and yeah, sometimes gambling to entertain myself after long hours of learning. If you are privileged enough to don't get hungry by this quarantine, you should take advantage of it to learn something new! Hope you all stay safe! and keep hustling  Grin Grin Grin
4435  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 25, 2020, 06:05:59 AM
Everyone is just being careful right now because the virus is still circulating and they are all trying to stay safe so they don’t get infected with the virus. So when this is over, I don’t see any changes taking place.

"When this is over"

It's interesting to think about what that even means anymore. Is that in 2-3 years when maybe there will be a safe and widely manufactured vaccine? I don't mean to be pessimistic, but vaccines for SARS and MERS were never successfully developed.

Just a month ago, we all thought we could isolate for 3 weeks and this would all be over, but cases are still surging all over the world even with rigid lockdowns being enforced. The most promising treatments so far (remdesivir and hydroxychloroquine) are both failing in clinical trials too.

People are scared too. I've never seen people so scared of each other. 80% of Britons do not feel safe going back to normal life. Similar numbers in the US too. 80% of Americans support the ongoing shutdown.

These numbers indicate consumers are drastically changing their behaviors, which could have long lasting economic and social effects even after the official shutdowns end.
Here in our country which is Philippines, the number of infected is increasing everyday and we are on strict lock-down right now, I don't think that this lock-down is going to end considering that, we are not flattening any curve and the cases are just getting worsen. Same on our government, I don't think that we can contaminate the virus here in our country. The only way to make things back to normal is to develop a cure which is taking too long cause we all know that it takes year! Personally, I don't feel safe right now and in any moment I can get infected.

4437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CORONA Spreading in many countries. Bitcoin is one Solution for Transactions!! on: April 24, 2020, 09:46:57 AM
Bitcoin is a shit with regards to transaction over-all. The transaction speed is very slow and the fee is not convenient at all when you are doing micro-transaction, not all people have gadgets and internet. Yes, I am bitcoin holder and I like bitcoin cause of it's monetary value and t's good for trading, but when you are going to use it in daily basis for canned transaction it is so hassle and not convenient.
4438  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your thought during ECQ on: April 24, 2020, 08:56:45 AM
There is many people said that coronavirus is man made and the chinese scientist are created that virus to less the population and the other purposes but this is not the time to blame each other helping each other is what we need right now. About the vaccine once it's done and if it's work I will take it and my family too are I think once the enhance community quarantine are done we can have a normal and safe life again.
Yeah, we shouldn't play the blame game, what our world need is to focus on the virus to make a vaccine out of it and to eradicate it. Honestly, here in Philippines I am not expecting for our government to contaminate the virus and clearly solve the cases here in our country, what I am seeing is that, the cure is our only way out from this virus. The number of infected is increasing day by day, so I hope the cure will be develop in no time, so we can continue our normal lives again.
4439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: April 24, 2020, 07:49:17 AM
Emotion and patience is the real thing to be a successful trader, and many are losing money cause they are lacking of it and sometimes they have too much of those quality. Me personally, I am constantly quitting on trading but somehow going back to it cause I think I can handle my emtion and my patience is getting better sometimes I win and sometimes I loss on trading but what's important is in every experience that I am getting I am learning something new.  Grin
4440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 24, 2020, 06:55:42 AM
That was a big amount of winning, I wish you will be able to help some people who has been experiencing so bad right now due to the enhance lockdown that was the government doing. Anyway, it is a wise decision that you have been to quit or go out once you have been gain or won a very huge amount of pot money. That was one of the very hard to do because when you win you will be able to demonetized to gamble or play more because you have the chance to win more but nice decision bro.
Well, that gonna be optional. Of course, if I won than money, I'll look to help first my family before others. We are in the economic problem and getting money is really hard at this time, saving some of it for the next days could be best as we don't know will we end this pandemic.

And for sure, that person will gamble again as he has probably the courage to gamble knowing himself that he can probably win for the next time. Because as a gambler, they will still be gambling if they have time and money. It gonna be their instinct and that was difficult when it comes to the point that you can't either control ourselves.
With regards to gambling again, I will do that too! I will just use the same amount of money that I usually use when I play. I will not become a high roller just because, I won a lot of money, I will stay low bettor and hoping that I would hit that jackpot again. You can't quit easily in gambling when you win that amount of money, but t's good to just stay low bettor and don't risk your winnings on gambling again.
