4401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in time of halving - a brief review. on: May 03, 2020, 04:09:57 PM
The current happenings around us would certainly heal,. Still, right now, no one can predict when it's going to be finished, the pandemic situation, just like the prediction of what the price would be on investment, in this case, Bitcoin, after the halving.
Halving is the most anticipated event with bitcoin since it has seen some huge pump and dump in prices whenever it is happening, but this time we might or might not get what we are expecting it to be since we have a global pandemic and economic crisis. It looks perfect from the time that we had a price decline last March, approximately 2 months before the halving, 2 months of preparation for us to ride. As @lucuis said, it's not too late to invest coz  I think we haven't reach the peak of the pump yet.

BTC is not going to disappear, that's for sure.
How can you say this? I mean it is obvious, fiat is designed to inflate indefinitely unlike bitcoin that has a fixed number on which more people will choose over the collapsing fiat, sooner or later people will realize it.
4402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fraud crypto analysts! on: May 03, 2020, 03:27:25 PM
Now that the price of btc has been up this past few days, soon there will be lots of different Analyst here and there,
Each days analysts are there to give their sights in market and even the price goes up or down same scenario are there.
But mostly changes happens when Bear market are coming because most of the Fud are coming out from nowhere just to make the market more panicking.
Given that the market is unbearable and is very unpredictable there is no such thing as accurate analysis so what the analyst are talking is just a pure speculation based on their level of understanding. The market changes every time that only means that the view of analyst changes also every time on which sometime they don't give it to people consequently to avoid such "reputation issue".

already there are few making their
call on btc price from now till halving, such predictions can be very pleasing to here, but we must not forget they are just predictions, analyst are humans they can be wrong, market is on predictable the way i see it, whales are in control, trade with caution.
Predictions are nothing to give as reality because it may or not come true.many are Bullish while others are bearish but in the end of the day?still nothing will be certain until things happen.
There is nothing wrong to believe on predictions, in fact there are times that the prediction goes right however it is more reliant to personally believe on what is on your mind. Don't be just too comfortable with these so called analyst because they spend 24 hours in monitoring the prices, that can't do nothing about what is going to happen next.
4403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much crypto do you need ? on: May 03, 2020, 02:11:09 PM
Hey guys. I made a short video discussing the topic of how much Bitcoin / Crypto do you really need ?

https://youtu.be/HcSsFMFvq-w

Most people don't plan their acquisition strategy , and that's why we have "weak hands" that sell when they shouldn't sell ( and regret it later ). Basically, I feel that its very important to have a target price range , a target investment amount , and then work towards that slowly to get to your goal. In the video I show you one way of possibly doing this.

The question "How much Bitcoin do you need?" sounds kinda stupid to me.
We all need as much BTC and money as possible.Do you ask people "How much money do you need?" Of course not.It doesn't matter how much money of crypto coins you have. It's never enough.
The BTC price is a factor we can't control and saying that you will HODL until the price reached a certain range isn't reasonable. All traders are following the market price movements and sometimes they have to sell, even if they don't want to.
I think you did not watch the video and answer directly the title question, honestly the title seems to be misleading with respect to what he is trying to say. He is mostly talking about trading, about target price with bitcoin, when to go in and out, the realistic view of the market etc. I think it should be " How much money do you need to attain this .... " or " At what point do you need to invest" some sort of that. He's literally showing us his technique with dealing the market but what you guys did is answered the title which is wrong.
4404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Bitcoin as inheritance on: May 02, 2020, 01:29:26 PM
if you're worried about it being stolen how about letting you most trusted lawyer hold the encrypted key that is designated to each of your beneficiaries with the password attached/sealed to it and stored on a bank locker and will only be retrieved and distributed to your beneficiaries once you died?

Damn this is a good one! Just include it to your "last will testament". Write the beneficiaries, amount/private key there, or simply put it on a hardware wallet and give the private key to your lawyer somehow. For me this is the best way to make sure that your money is going to your family if you are gonna die. It could be a friend or anyone else but it's hard to trust anybody, so for me a lawyer will be a good one. Grin
4405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to get some Ethereum? on: May 02, 2020, 11:49:32 AM
I am waiting when ethereum back to higher price for giving profit with long term holding, I keep loyal with ethereum during price still down under $120 and keep trust to see ethereum above $2000 after halving time, you can invest now and get much profit later.

Etherum is always a good coin to invest in. Last week probably is the perfect time to invest at etherum if you are going to check the price, right now it's little bit expensive and the price is on mid-range but still, the bitcoin is having a halving and we all know that after that the price is going to skyrocket! then, today is still a good time to buy etherum if you are considering a long term holding. But there is one thing that I am sure, Etherum will skyrocket just like bitcoin and maybe even more  Wink
4406  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: May 02, 2020, 11:00:27 AM
It's really heartbreaking that there are minors being abused in this kind of situation. Every family is different and their quarantine situation could also affect them differently. Home owned businesses couldn't help the economy survive. Most countries are now in a bloody economic situation because huge businesses aren't functioning anymore. This quarantine has a positive effect on the environment but has a negative effect on our way of living. There are still pros and cons but we have no choice but to deal with it and just wait until things get back to normal.

Almost all businesses, especially small and medium businesses, were hit by the pandemic. For this reason, in the midst of this pandemic, business people must carry out various strategies to keep their business running. But it needs to be remembered that small and medium business is the fastest, easiest, and most absorbing business.

So far, many small and medium companies cannot survive because they compete with state-owned companies. Many regulations benefit state-owned companies but are detrimental to small and medium-sized businesses.

Home owned businesses can help the economy survive if the people are compact and committed to supporting one another. Small community-scale economic cycles are carried out by home industries although the benefits are not too large but the economy will continue to spin. The existence of barter supply and demand for primary needs will support the progress of the home industry.

Some steps for a home industry company to survive and even grow is good at calculating market needs. The use of technology and social media for the promotion and sales process. Applying for payment in advance to maintain business cash flow in the midst of difficult conditions today. How a business can get a stable inclusion / recurring revenue that is an income that is constant or stable every month.

We, as a victim of this virus we are all looking forward for a good thing to happen and be optimistic in the midst of this pandemic. I know that it is not that easy to become positive if you are really experiencing that hard times that this virus is bringing to us but to lessen the stress and sadness, look for the bright side. This pandemic will as soon as possible and everything will go back to normal and I will assure you that we can recover from this pandemic. Businesses will recover because they are the one who are responsible to the desire of each and one of us when we are going outside just to buy what we need.

Companies will think of the possible and effective strategy to retrieve all its losses due to the quarantine. I know people will work harder because they want to earn more salaries as this virus prohibits them to go to work due to the risk of getting the disease.

I will say no to being optimistic in this crisis, People are dying because of this virus! There's no positive side or impact of the virus, you can't say that cause people are dying in this pandemic! Business getting rekt, stocks getting rekt, and any other markets that are collapsing is all good, but what are we talking about here is life! If there's someone who is dying then, absolutely there's no positive side of that.

Let's just hope that someone is going to make a cure and this virus/crisis is going to end.
4407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BLOCKCHAIN WALLET WAS STOLEN 0.39070099 BTC !!! on: May 02, 2020, 09:27:30 AM
~
can any one help me what i do !! this coins is all i have .

I am sorry about this incident. My blockchain wallet has been hacked, even though I have provided double security, 2FA, email verification, etc. The dam* hacker managed to get a crack and easily move my BTC. Not as much as you have, only 0.003 BTC, but that means a lot because I will use it to pay for rent.

Be patient, this valuable lesson for you. The next time you save a lot of assets, choose a safer wallet, such as a hardware wallet, there are many products to choose from, for example, Ledger Nano. The cost you spend is comparable to the security guarantee you get. Follow the advice of experienced members above, hopefully, you will get a better chance soon Smiley

Investing on a secured wallet would never be a waste if you are going to see a situation like this. So you guys that read this thread I hope you all started to but hardware wallet now! Hardware wallet is a bit expensive but your money is totally safe there! All of the online wallets can be hack by hackers anytime, and it's likely to happen if you are careless. Start investing now on hardware wallet! I hope this would be a lesson to everyone.
4408  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: May 02, 2020, 06:30:45 AM
How long do you think the crisis can last after the epidemic?
What are the most likely events to occur?

It might take a year before everything will go back to normal.

Entertainment industry - they cannot just shoot their pictures and be in groups or with kissing scenes.  Grin
Concerts and sports will not be allowed yet until there is clearance.
It will be difficult to have social distancing with those kind of events. There is just no fun anymore.

Businesses - factories, constructions, transports, etc.
Most of the affected will be those which are composed of using man power.
Many people will still have a problem looking for a job after being unemployed due to this pandemic.

For rich country they can make a solution to actually flatten the curve but for poor countries and the 3rd world ones, I think it may take a year or more. In our country which is Philippines, the numbers of getting infected is still increasing day by day and actually it's getting worst! The only solution that I see is if the cure has been develop. Cause there's no way our country can contain this virus and stopping it to spread. It's sad but I hope the cure will be develop as soon as possible.
4409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does mean "halving" actually? on: May 02, 2020, 05:53:51 AM
i have seen too many places about bitcoin halving but nowhere found a good understanding. so wanted a clear explanation.
Halving is the cutting down of the miner's block reward into half which will cause the reduction of the allocation rate of new coins generated daily and miners reward but halving was the technique used in crypto to current price/market inflation and for the betterment of the market price.

I hope the OP already read the post of coingecko as the graph will give him a clear understanding on what is happening during halving. But would be nice to see also the corresponding price on the graph so we will see how much bitcoin's price changes during those times of halving. Though we already know that the price really increased after halving but this time, I don't think the performance in terms of increase will be similar in previous halvings.
it is not going to be similar cause it can surpass the past increase?  Cheesy  If you are going to look at the chart and see the history for halving there's always a pump every halving and this time it's actually happening again! If you are updated at the price of bitcoin is jumps from 6900 to 8700 in just one week! So I am sure that the halving this year is gonna be awesome and will actually surpass the past halving's when it comes to bitcoin price.  Cheesy

These are very huge numbers since 4000 users (victims) lost around 6500$ each!
It's a bit surprising that some with such "good" amount (around 1 bitcoin...) have not any culture to avoid this type of frauds.
Plus we don't know what are these exchanges "spoofed" but the reputable ones, most of the times use 2FA or double passwords systems so probably there is also a lack of security and there was a security risk by joining/using them.
Yeah this is really a user fault since they are not checking any information before they enter their details to a website. This type of scam is the easiest way for people to lose money even local banks have this type of issue, our problem here is the cryptocurrency is decentralized so, once the scammers get your money yo have no other move! you are just going to accept that. People should really be careful in this type of scam. It's better to use a hardware wallet if you want to be safe on these kind of scam.
4412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Become Negative in Value? on: May 01, 2020, 09:20:17 AM
I do not know if I am right or wrong about this, but from what I understood, the reason why the price of oil turned negative is because there is no one buying them. The sellers are even begging the buyers and paying them to buy oil. So in this kind of situation, for sure there is going to be a negative price. But in the case of bitcoin, I don't see that as something that's possible.

For Bitcoin to even drop to dollar, I think everyone that's into it and investing in it will have to quit from it, and that includes the exchanges. I can't even imagine such a thing happening. Bitcoin can't and won't drop to a negative price and that's it.
Actually that is possible, I witness some of the coin drop to 0 and comeback within a minute the reason behind this is with the certain exchange, there's one trader that got fucked-up and sell all of his holdings until it drop to 0 and some or buy until it got to millions. I don't remember that certain exchange but there's a issue in the past like that. It's possible but also impossible.

It's possible on a random exchange to happen but  impossible as a general, and as the whole bitcoin itself, I hope you are getting my point  Smiley
4413  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC and Stock vs Oil price on: May 01, 2020, 06:02:48 AM
Seriously we have peaked at over 8k now, (dropped slightly less) and its still going strong. One thing for sure we can definitely say that bitcoin prices have nothing to do with Oil prices. Oil goes up or down and bitcoin is irrelevant, same goes with bitcoin as well.

Right now oil prices haven't recovered at all, right now WTI is about 14 dollars which is still not bad at all considering it literally 10 dollars, but 14 is nowhere near recovered only y a week ago it was 18 and that was really bad, just this year it was over 60 dollars, SIXTY dollars! Right now it "recovered" from 10 to 14. So, as you can see oil prices continues to be horrible but bitcoin recovers like crazy, its getting close to peak of 2020, and WAAAY over the year to date price of it.
And don't forget that there's gonna be a halving and I am sure that after halving or during the halving the bitcoin price is going to go up like crazy! If you are gonna look at the price chart of bitcoin and search about the past halving you can see that every halving the price of bitcoin is going up! So if history repeat itself this time, then bitcoin will be fully recovered  Grin Grin Grin
4414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin? on: May 01, 2020, 05:37:04 AM
To be honest, I am confused about this now.

Gold is a great investment, to be honest most of the investors are recommending this as an investment, a must-have investment, as they say, it. Bitcoin on the other hand, despite the volatility of it, through the years, a lot of people told me they had a good profit while holding it. Gold and Bitcoin gave good profits for the people and I think despite Gold not being as volatile as Bitcoin, I think there is no such thing as a safe-haven.

Gold and bitcoin is a valuable investment! So why choose on those two when you can diversify your asset and invest on both? Bitcoin is a roller coaster ride while Gold is a steady and good for long term investment. Investing on those two are really good since you can maximize your earning while minimizing the risk of losing your money. Remember that always diversify your asset to get the greatest outcome of your investment. Don't go all in, in one market.

Damn this must be the biggest farm that has been busted here in bitcointalk. There's bigger farm with this but I remember that all of that are newbies abusing bounty, but this one is full of high ranks account! 4416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 28, 2020, 04:19:35 PM
i read a piece somewhere were analyst are expecting the price of btc during this halving to go as high as $20k, speculative and a possibility because of the crash in oil, probably some people might want to make a different choice of investment, but with this current situation, will people rush in to invest or they will want to wait for the pandemic crisis to be over and there is normalcy in the economy!
anyways, am just looking forward to halving, hoping for the best and expecting a no rise in price situation.

20k is a big margin in my opinion and more over these so called analysts just give a speculation which was never a valid one, and yes I agree this pandemic has caused big disappointment for everyone across the world but we have to face the consequences. After looking at the price of BTC from the past week it lookalike the price will go up...
10k is the most feasible price that bitcoin will accumulate for me considering that we are already at the 7700$. And we all know that every halving there's a huge pump that is going to happen, if you see the chart and search about the past halving you will see that every halving, there's a pump! So i hope this time history will repeat itself so all of us are going to have a profit  Grin Let's wish for the best! But I am sure that it will surpass 10k  Grin
4417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: April 28, 2020, 06:58:20 AM
Great job, though the profit is just small but at least you are in profit mate.

If we will compute your profit which is BTC: 0.00037582 to the current price now per http://preev.com/... that will be 2.904 usd or 147.1 pesos only in Philippine currency.. Not much, but I expect it will compound in the long run, we can't just control the price of bitcoin as it's very volatile.
That is just for Bustadice, I have a 2 investment and the total profit in BTC is: 0.001025‬BTC Wink you can see it at the spreadsheet LOL

Just like what I said earlier, it's a combination of long term holding of BTC and the profit which I acquire on investing in a gambling site. So my total profit since I invested is: 108USD / 5,617‬PHP   Wink
4418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: April 28, 2020, 05:55:52 AM
So here's my update for week3!!

This is the update for bustadice:

This is my total profit for:
BTC: 0.00037582
USD: 46.17
PHP: 2,409

This is the update for Yolodice:

This is my total profit for:
BTC: 0.00065025
USD: 61.84
PHP: 3,208

Here's the spreadsheet:

The profit this week is really small, but BTC price is going up so there's a profit for that too!
This is a combination of long term holding of BTC and profit for investing in gambling sites,

What are your thoughts this week?  Grin
4419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your biggest bet, loss and win on: April 28, 2020, 04:15:10 AM
I'm nit gambling much to be honest but with a recent loss happened with my known guy who lost around 24 ETH withun 24 hours, I got curious on how much you guys are betting at once in dice games. Let's share our biggest bet, biggest win and biggest loss.

24 ETH is just a piece of cake to my loss comsidering it's current price. Last 2017, I lost 2BTC in leverage trading within 1 hour time frame only with a leverage of x20. The price of BTC that time is around 15k USD. That misfortune push me to study thoroughly the art of trading and made a better trader today.

Sharing of losses is not a good but it will helps other people to not commit same mistake so I decided to share mine even though it will hurt my ego.  Roll Eyes
Damn man, I also have a huge lost because of leverage trading, in my situation I am using 1broker and I just accidentally leave my trade cause I accidentally sleep. When I wake up on the morning my money is liquidated and all of my money is gone within just one mistake. We should really careful on leverage trading cause 1 mistake can make our 10 winnings gone. My biggest wining is at leverage trading too, but it's just got rekt cause of my mistake.
4420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency - fiat currency on: April 28, 2020, 02:24:28 AM
3. More helpful when economy crisis happens
Bitcoin is not a safe haven in a situation of an economic crisis, in fact an economic crisis can lead to bitcoin crashing in price and people losing large chunks of their investments. For example in the case of this corona pandemic(which is an economic crisis), I think more people will consider fiat more helpful at this time, and will even sell their bitcoins to hold fiat,  for it's spontaneity in meeting their needs.
I will disagree to this. Bitcoin is more popular that fiat right now considering that, the virus itself can transfer using fiat. And more people are using online currency or online banking right now to make a transaction cause of the gear of getting the virus. And actually a lot of gamblers right now are going to try online gambling cause all of the casinos in their place are close (if their country is on lock-down). Bitcoin and other online currency are more popular in this crisis cause it helps us to transact without having a contact to the other person.
