521  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Risk/AML score on: October 25, 2023, 09:58:54 PM
The Risk/AML score is just bullshit
It's a tool used by Governments and centralized exchanges to attempt to bring censorship to Bitcoin and try to control how you spend your coins.

The US Dollar and other fiat currencies around the world have been used for far worse crimes even to this date. Why haven't we seen this AML score service been used for such currencies even after all that time? Because they simple just hate Bitcoin and want to discourage people from using it, so they start labeling it in different forms "risky Bitcoin" "clean Bitcoin" etc
522  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Transaction fee in chart expressed in Bitcoin not USD, any tool? on: October 25, 2023, 09:50:18 PM
Are you trying to look for the average Tx fees in sats/vB (Remember this can be affected by transactions with much lower mining fees that can be included by the meaning pool for acceleration) or rather the total Tx fees for all the transaction in the block?
523  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone explain how liquidation works ? on: October 25, 2023, 07:28:03 PM
In trading crypto, there are people who trade crypto derivatives or futures. In this kind of trading, people either short (predict that the Bitcoin might go down, so they get profits) or Long (predict that the Bitcoin might go down, so they get profits). On top of that, they use leverage (Borrowed funds). Once they open a position with leverage with funds in his account acting as collateral, a liquidation price is set. If the market price goes against the opened position beyond that liquidation price, the exchange's Liquidation engine will close the position and take out all the collateral the trader used for borrowing.

So in the case of the recent market uptrend, there are traders who opened short positions against Bitcoin and most of them probably had their liquidation prices set at 30K,33K, 35K depending on the leverage and entry prices. When the Bitcoin price rapidly moved upwards, the positions that had no stop losses got liquidated, leading to news of massive liquidations.
524  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trade Medex on: October 22, 2023, 02:15:17 PM
It's always the naive ones with lots of money that end up getting scammed by such platforms. I really wonder what's always with them that they can't even look for red flags on the search engines or ask for advice from experienced users?
They only remember to do so after the money is gone.

£23,000 needed to withdraw another amount that's stuck in the exchanges? What a stupid joke
525  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List Of Scam websites by Learn Bitcoin on: October 22, 2023, 01:59:28 PM
When it comes to selling miners, there are so many of these fake websites. New domains keep popping up while old ones expire once they are identified as scam. I guess it's very profitable for the scammers, and it's not just iceriver, it happens with Bitmain, canaan.io etc
You will keep reporting them, but am not sure if you will exhaust them.

Here is another one I just discovered;

526  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] Karthik Sakthivel - Ozone Chain - Did not pay Bounty Hunters on: October 22, 2023, 01:29:13 PM
So what was the point of them starting off the bounty campaign if they were not sure whether they were going to pay up?

All the initial advertising campaign and costs they did are now down the drain because of their irresponsible antics. I don't blame you OP, the scam accusation was long overdue, and you were so patient with them. In fact, some of these projects should be sending funds to the escrow address in advance. You don't walk up to an advertising company and tell them to advertise your product without even making any advance payment.
527  Other / Meta / Re: Solution to account seller? I think on: October 22, 2023, 12:58:14 PM
Account sales can never stop, and I don't think it's worth the trouble. If people can sell accounts on strict platforms where it's prohibited and need even KYC then how about Bitcointalk where multiple accounts are allowed?
Remember, selling of Bitcointalk accounts doesn't only happen in the forum, but there are other third party sites where adverts are made as well. How are you going to track and stop all that?

Lastly, the account sellers won't just reveal the details of the account until they receive some money from you.
528  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: October 21, 2023, 01:31:49 PM
Someone can think that I'm hunting on newbies only, but no, most of higher ranks know already that using AI for posting can lead to getting a tag, so they avoid of it. So we have another newbie actievly using AI for his posts... Isuru_.
-snip-
The struggle to hunt for Merit is real. Isuru_ continues to post content directly from AI tools. Doesn't even require an expert to see this or even use an AI text detection tool if you check out his post history. I wish he could just be banned. He adds no value to the discussions in the forum.

For formality

A cluster crypto address is a group of crypto addresses that are likely owned by the same person or entity. You can think of it like a group of friends who all have their own bank accounts, but they often send and receive money from each other.
There are a few ways to see cluster crypto addresses. One way is to use a blockchain explorer. Blockchain explorers are websites that allow you to view all of the transactions that have happened on a particular blockchain. To see cluster crypto addresses, you can look at the transaction history of an address and see if it has sent or received money from other addresses that are known to be owned by the same person or entity. Tongue

Another way to see cluster crypto addresses is to use a crypto analysis tool. Crypto analysis tools are websites or software programs that can help you to identify groups of crypto addresses that are likely owned by the same person or entity. These tools work by analyzing the transaction history of multiple crypto addresses simultaneously.

Overall, cluster crypto address analysis is a useful tool for identifying groups of addresses that are likely owned by the same person or entity. However, it is important to remember that cluster crypto address analysis is not perfect and should not be used in isolation.

Hey there! It's awesome that you're interested in Bitcoin. It can be a great way to invest your money and build wealth over the long term. But it's important to remember that Bitcoin is a volatile asset, and its price can go up and down a lot.

Here are a few tips for being a successful Bitcoin investor:

* **Only invest what you can afford to lose.** Bitcoin is a risky investment, so don't put all your eggs in one basket.
* **Do your own research.** Don't just invest in Bitcoin because someone else tells you to. Understand the technology behind it, the risks involved, and your own investment goals.
* **Invest for the long term.** Bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's an investment that you should expect to hold for several years or even decades.
* **Don't panic sell.** When the price of Bitcoin drops, it can be tempting to sell out of fear of losing more money. But this is often the worst time to sell. Instead, try to stay calm and remember that Bitcoin has a history of recovering from price drops.

Here are a few additional tips that may be helpful for you as a young investor:

* **Start small.** You don't need to invest a lot of money to get started with Bitcoin. Even if you can only afford to invest $10 a month, that's a start.
* **Automate your investments.** Set up a recurring investment plan so that you automatically invest a certain amount of money into Bitcoin each month. This will help you to stick to your investment plan and build your Bitcoin holdings over time.

Use a reputable exchange. When you're ready to buy Bitcoin, choose a reputable exchange that has a good track record of security and customer service.

Investing in Bitcoin can be a great way to build wealth over the long term, but it's important to be aware of the risks involved. By following the tips above, you can increase your chances of success as a Bitcoin investor.

Good luck!

529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Flash Bitcoins r not a threat? on: October 21, 2023, 11:43:43 AM
Looks like you need to learn more about what the bitcoin blockchain is.

If you are interested in Bitcoin, I suggest you read the whitepaper.
And also https://learnmeabitcoin.com/

Bitcoins aren't just created out of a thin air and also those other tokens and shitcoins mimicking Bitcoin can never be BTCitcoin and they are not a threat to Bitcoin but rather a threat to people who are not vigilant enough to distinguish between Bitcoin network and other fake chains.
530  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitsar.com -Lightning Cryptocurrency Exchange. No KYC & No Registration Required on: October 21, 2023, 11:21:35 AM
Ok. I don't think I'll ever get back. I lose my coins $6000  Cry Undecided

Offer 30% to anybody who can contact this exchange owner to get my coins "unstuck". Email support doesn't answer me.
Hi MagicWind, what's the update so far regarding your issue?

This is very unprofessional of them and I hope it's not what I am thinking (exit scam). I want to tag them but need to know how far they have gone about with your transaction.
My advice is to avoid this new "instant" exchanges until they are proven trustworthy. There are old ones that have worked over the years, like eXch.cx
531  Economy / Reputation / Re: Questionable Merit History From: deadsea33 on: October 21, 2023, 10:59:54 AM
Moreover, deadsea33 is definitely committing a crime but why should the participant be punished for that.
Can you tell how these accounts are alt accounts? I always respect DT members but this kind of act is really not acceptable.
The fact that deadsea33 was a hacked account even makes this story of merit abuse and account farming interesting and believable. I mean, what other better motive could an account stealer/buyer like deadsea33 have other than create a merit awarding game where he can stealthily try to farm his little accounts that can later join signature campaigns?
The merit distribution patterns also check out, this can not be a coincidence.
532  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChangeNow.fi = scam on: October 20, 2023, 09:52:40 PM
I lost $30 in this scam.
They have sponsored ad on google. "Changénow.Io" , but when I clicked I didnt know I came to changenow.fi..

Their scamprofit is more than $1000 right now.
That's unfortunate

Never trust google search results 100%. Always cross check the web address, letter by letter before engaging with a service for business. Always use addons like uBlock Origin that can minimize the risks of getting phishing sites that are advertised by Google and show up at the top.
533  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recently woke up asking for a loan on: October 20, 2023, 09:32:20 PM
The account keeps waking up periodically, funny that this time it woke up after a good two years and 5 months of inactivity to just request for a loan. What are the chances that if they got the loan, they will never log in again? Almost 100%!

With his past activity history, I don't think he would even get a 50 USDT no collateral loan. At least any responsible lender should be able to see red flags regarding the said account.
534  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam] Yas.bet refusing withdrawal after verification on: October 20, 2023, 08:57:06 PM
Gambling sites may ask for time to solve any misdeeds which they can't solve immediately. In this case, there is no way except to be patient. But the site you have accused is not familiar so I am confused about whether you will get any good solution or not,
To give you a full understanding of what kind of service they are. This is one kind of casino that will make a client wait for a very long time without having their issue get resolved, and they will keep asking the person to be patient.
Even the most patient person eventually becomes patient, especially when it involves their money or when there is no deadline for the issue to get sorted out. This customer waited for 5 months for his KYC to get "verified", lol.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Loom network madness on: October 19, 2023, 09:56:57 PM
I saw this coin pumping a while back. I did make some profits spot trading it, though not so much like people who bought it and held it all the way from $0.042. The ICO market hype back then taught me some hard lessons about pump and dump schemes, so the loom situation doesn't seem any different. Also, how does one entity end up owing almost a half of the token supply while others were looking on like that.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KuCoin Launches Futures 2.0 on: October 19, 2023, 09:46:56 PM
  • 20X faster
  • 15X more capacity
The Upgrades like this don't really matter to a retail trader. These are mostly helpful to big players or even high frequency traders where milliseconds matter a lot between a profit or loss.

Isn't this like the 2 or 3 time Kucoin tries to relaunch their platform. At one point it was even called KuMex. This is more like Kucoin Futures 3.0
537  Economy / Exchanges / Re: i need sites or apps to lock my usdt and xrp on: October 19, 2023, 09:29:32 PM
I don't know much about your will power, but a good open source hardware wallet could do for me. Keeping the coins in a centralized platform for the sake of stake rewards that are not even worth the risk should never even be an option.

538  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 65€ for my phone bills on: October 19, 2023, 09:02:11 PM
This coming from someone whop claimed that they could afford to get €1800 per week when repaying for a loan. It looks like you aim in this forum is to get a loan and probably exit scam

540  Other / Meta / Re: Local China Subforums - Admin Probably Will Be Arrested And Transfered To China on: October 17, 2023, 08:58:08 PM
OP, you are just over thinking and in this case it isn't even necessary. The worst they will do is probably block it from being accessed by the Chinese Citizens just like what Russia did, but arresting the forum admin just because the Citizens signed up or can read through different forum thread is stupid to even think about.

China has blocked a number of websites including Google, Facebook, WhatsApp, some since 2010 and Bitcointalk doesn't even future. Stop spreading unnecessary FUD.
