522  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Logo + Website Background - 0.04 BTC on: August 10, 2015, 10:50:00 PM

The contest is halted . Everyone that contributed so far is subpar , I have decided to gather more funds to try this again somewhere else like 99designs. For 0.04 , I would have guessed such low quality work.
No big surprise, for $10 you won't get any better logos. Next time when you post a logo contest send the btc amount to an escrow if you want to get more entries.
523  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Logo + Website Background - 0.04 BTC on: August 10, 2015, 03:56:50 AM

Could you please remove the dice I want nothing in writing. Other then that , I want a little bit more those henge looking white things that both ancient greeks and romans have in front of many buildings.

http://www.ancient.eu/uploads/images/402.jpg?v=1431035047

 these things.
How about this one ?

524  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Logo + Website Background - 0.04 BTC on: August 10, 2015, 03:27:21 AM

This is by far the best , please remove the name , also I know this will sound silly but can you make it look more like its a tavern (which was the place people gambled back in those days)

I think that this one should fit better to your dice game Smiley

525  Economy / Services / Re: [Hiring] Logo + Website Background - 0.04 BTC on: August 10, 2015, 03:05:57 AM
Here is my entry,  I chose to illustrate the Colosseum since you wanted ancient Rome type.  I chose a flat design since it is trending.

Let me know what you think
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LITECOIN and DASH on: August 09, 2015, 07:44:40 PM
I would recommend LiteVault as a Litecoin wallet https://www.litevault.net/  and  https://www.dashpay.io/ as a DASH wallet. As a Litecoin/Dash exchange I would recommend https://shapeshift.io/, it is instant and cheap.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Micro Payments Dead? on: August 09, 2015, 07:36:50 PM
I see as micro payments anything below one $, and I'd be happy to see them disappear. Come on, the blockchain will keep those transactions forever, and there's no need for this. I'd be a miner, I would simply ignore all smallish transactions, and I believe this is what they will all do, unless block size is raised.
So what is the solution to the micro transactions then? We can't just ignore it and there obviously is a demand for online tipping, it is pretty common now.
There are already services like Coinjar and Changetip who focus on the micropayment space. I think that with sidechains we will see innovations in  the micropayment industry.
Sidechains are just altcoins that don't exist yet, don't let the fancy name fool you. Why build yet another coin that would still have to be later converted into bitcoin than rather use one of the already established altcoins.
Well those sidechains altcoins would be backed by the bitcoin blockchain, they would be more trusted than alternative coins.

Was wondering how people do this?

Buy BTC for cash, send them to trader, trade back for cash with trader but then i'm lost because i have no good way to get the funds on paypal again.

Maybe someone can advise me so i can go to buy BTC for cash here and there and make a profit Smiley
Well you can buy bitcoins from exchange A  with price A1 and sell it to exchange B with the price of B2 and make a profit.

531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Regulator Assholes on: August 09, 2015, 07:17:19 PM
All they will accomplish with stuff like BitLicense is emptying wherever the implant the license at off any Bitcoin ventures. Everyone is already evacuating NYC like if it was plagued by a virus. Ben ruined NYC from being the capital of BTC in the future. What a jackass.
That is not true, not everyone is leaving NY. Those who left/are leaving just thought that NY wasn't profitable/worthy to operate in.
532  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Says Bitcoin is Money – Japan says Bitcoin can’t be owned on: August 09, 2015, 07:15:11 PM
People who know how the world works know Japan is really a vassal state to America. Economically if they oppose Bitcoin it's cause they have been told to by their superiors.

Japan is a vassal state of the USA (like other countries such as United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada), but the decision against Bitcoin doesn't have anything to do with the Americans. If it was so, then the Americans should have banned Bitcoins in the United States first. This particular decision was solely linked to the Mt Gox scandal.
True, those superiors could be german, french, japanese etc It doesn't matter what they are or where they come from. But something is clear, they want to  harm bitcoin with the use of regulators
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to the internet (and Bitcoin) if world economy fails? on: August 09, 2015, 07:03:28 PM
Bitcoin isn't depended on USA and USD isn't depended on BTC. It does't really matter if USD crashes, bitcoin will be working as always.
534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comedian Louis C.K Begins Accepting Bitcoin on: August 09, 2015, 07:01:12 PM

He chose bitpay probably because they auto convert the btc to usd and then send to his bank account. Most services who accept bitcoin throw bitpay actually only receive usd and not bitcoin.

I know that, but the payment option should be named Bitcoin, not Bitpay. There might be BTC holders in far off lands who've never heard of Bitpay.
I don't think that he cares about bitcoin at all.  He only cares about USD, I mean why would they choose to use a bitcoin payment processing ? He could directly receive bitcoin a public address (if there is one).

Quote
Today Kraken discontinues service to New York residents.

Regrettably, the abominable BitLicense has awakened.  It is a creature so foul, so cruel that not even Kraken possesses the courage or strength to face its nasty, big, pointy teeth.  It’s at least a 40-man, bro.

So after Bitfinex, Kraken is the next exchange saying good bye to NY customers due to NEw York states BitLicense.

for me thats a good decision, and im pretty sure that others will follow them, well done Kraken.
I don't think so, the main goal of these companies are to generate profit so if they actually made an profits from the NY user base they would have stayed there and requested a bitlicense. But they probably show that NY is time/money wasting and decided to move out.
536  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Says Bitcoin is Money – Japan says Bitcoin can’t be owned on: August 09, 2015, 06:33:56 PM

Exactly, those regulators/Judicators  who declare what bitcoin is are told to do so from their superiors.
537  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: do bitcoin gambling sites need gambling licenses? on: August 09, 2015, 06:31:33 PM
No
it depends on your country and type of business
if you are running an online gambling site that deal with bitcoin only then i think you don't need any license or registration,
I agree , it depends from where the service/business operates from. It depends on how much the service/business transmits too.
538  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is the IRS going to tax me if I change my bitcoins to cash ? on: August 09, 2015, 06:29:22 PM
Actually he should declare the bitcoins as assets and not as an income. And it depends on the amount, OP you should try to contact an accountant and get professional advice before you declare anything to the IRS.
539  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BitLicense... who does it apply to exactly? on: August 09, 2015, 06:25:58 PM
Just reading the terms, it seems to apply to anyone dealing with virtual currencies...

Are there clear unambiguous exemptions?
Like for merchants or services that just accept bitcoin payments (but do not hold customer funds)?

 Huh
All services and companies who operate in NY are affected, specifically those who transmit virtual currencies like for example bitfinex or Kraken.
540  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Zenportal Status? on: August 09, 2015, 06:24:07 PM
Dear All,
I'm looking for information about Zenportal and its situation. I bought some THs to mine Bitcoin, but due to mining unprofitability cloud mining has been stopped.

From website I'm not able to contact assistance: does anyone knows what's happened?

Thank You,
Marco
