I dont know you so I have no way to tell.   It doesnt really matter so I wouldnt worry about it.    I can believe people dont know how to host pictures but its fairly simple

Some websites to try would be http://tinypic.com and http://imgur.com
Have the picture on your desktop and you should be able to find it and host it.  Imgur actually allows drag and drop and other ways to make it simple.
When you have the picture hosted online you end up with a link from that website, so imgur.com/pic.jpg  and you can then just post that link here.    You cannot link to your desktop, so it must be a http link.
Or quite a few just put it on their facebook and you could just link from there I think.  tumblr is another site

Please stop being so desperate Smiley

He wasn't being desperate, why do you have to be so rude B!Z?  He was just kindly teaching me and everyone else how to post pics on here if we ever need to/want to.

Good way to see some girls here, a way to married a bitcoin girl, that would be a dream for me ahahah  Grin ! But, female or male, I can not understand why women aren't interested to the bitcoin world  Angry

Marry a bitcoin girl? What's the diference between a bitcoin girl and a non-bitcoin girl though? Smiley

Send me pics, I'll vouch for you.  Dont you have to write in marker pen on a photo or something like that and then hold it, how does one verify exactly.   Not that you should have to, its not really most relevant to crypto encryption as a currency Tongue

Lol I don't know how to send pics on here. When it comes to verification I don't think it's necessary, you either believe me or you don't, it's that simple. Smiley

I thought the litecoin was goingurto be next big thing so I bought r9 280x, 7950 graphic cards along with other computer stuff (spent over 2 grand) and sadly, I have turned it on twice.

This was in feb.
In February they were expecting ASIC for litecoin to arrive so its not surprising old hardware was not that relevant long term.    You can use those cards or sell them to other people who will use them for their primary purpose of gaming.   You are pretty well off compared to most people who buy mining hardware and end up stuck with as it really does nothing else, so far as I know anyway

why are you using hashtags on a bitcoin forum

Is that a problem? Smiley

Im allergic to hashtags, they bring me out in hives Sad

It was an ironic hashtag. I hate twatter, never use it.

I used to be able to recite pi to 27 digits and easily recall ~100 phone numbers in the 80's and 90's, but now only 95% of the time am able to recite my phone number on the cuff thanks to the advent of smart phone tech.

I can recite pi to 27 digits easy & more... 3.141592653589793238462643383279...

I don't think you are girl. You are trolling us.

It's catch 22 with you guys. I sent a pic to a couple of guys on here who had been pestering me for pics and they still didn't believe me, so, whatever.

Just wanted to let you all know that fabiola! told me via PM she doesn't know how to post pics.  She is either lying here or lying to me.  A liar is a liar.

True. Haha. You know what I meant.

No I don't.  Explain it to me.

Were you lying when you claimed to have sent a picture to a couple guys, or were you lying when you posted you don't know how to send pics?

Which is it?

I wasn't lying, just figure of speech. A couple of guys on here have seen pics of me. I didn't SEND them but they've seen them. It's pretty simple. No lies.

Hey b!z, did you see my last post where I said I'm not locking the thread and if u want it to die so badly then you should stop Bumping it? Smiley
But other people will still bump it. Just lock it already please, this is getting old.

Funny how we are online at the same time, this is why ppl suspect we are the same person.

I do Smiley I memorise everything, I used to know my ICQ number too, haha.

ICQ numbers are what, the same length as a phone number? that's nothing compared to a bitcoin address.

Anything under 30 characters if fine with me Smiley

540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tips for Talking with Your Family about Bitcoin at Thanksgiving on: November 29, 2014, 10:44:53 PM
Hey Bitcoin Talk,

For folks celebrating Thanksgiving this week, I put together a little guide for talking about Bitcoin at a family gathering. While Thanksgiving is a time for appreciating what we have and being with loved ones, it is also a time where ideas are shared.

I thought you all might enjoy the whimsical image of a turkey holding a Bitcoin we put together. It is original / combined with a royalty free image, so you are all welcome to use it elsewhere.  If you feel like it, you are welcome to upvote the reddit post for the blog entry.

Apart from giving thanks for all of the positive things we’ve experienced this year, Thanksgiving is a common time for sharing ideas.

With the holiday near, we thought it might be helpful to provide tools for communicating the promise of Bitcoin with your friends and family.

The following tips are meant to help an experienced Bitcoin person have a more thoughtful discussion with loved ones about the technology. While these tips are focused on Thanksgiving, they may also be useful to people around the globe at any holiday gathering.

0. Don’t Let Bitcoin Gobble up the Holiday
While this guide is meant to help you introduce Bitcoin around Thanksgiving, remember that this holiday is an unusual opportunity to share in the lives of your close and extended family.

1. Downplay Your Enthusiasm and Expertise for Bitcoin
No matter what the idea is, people need time to adjust to new information. Even if your family knows you to be a Bitcoin enthusiast, and you read /r/bitcoin every day, downplaying your expertise (and belief Bitcoin’s importance) will allow everyone to join in the feeling of wonder over the course of discussion.

2. Listen First
The topic of Bitcoin commonly receives a bi-polar response. Some praise Bitcoin and others are starkly concerned. More common than either of these reactions is confusion. The word “Bitcoin” is known to many, but most people know almost nothing about it.

When someone asks for your opinion on Bitcoin, begin by asking how they feel about it. If you take some time to understand what they know, including misperceptions, it will allow you to respond in a way that gives you the best opportunity to be understood.

3. Avoid the Details
Given how quickly discussions can change, focus on Bitcoin’s high-level points first. (For example, see the Why section of the Bitcoin wiki) If you lead off with Side Chains, Smart Contracts or the recent pivoting of the Bitcoin Foundation you’re going to hear “pass the cranberry sauce” before you can share important basics.
There are 4 more tips in the blog entry here.

Rob

ps. Unrelated to this, Gliph has something pretty darn cool coming in December. I'll of course post when I have more to share!

This is very bad advice. No one should be bringing up btc at a family gathering, it's never going to be received well, EVER. Talk about it maybe some other time, if u must.
