521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🎊 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎆 WANT SOME CIONZ!? 🍻 RENT YOUR HASH AND MINERS TO US!! on: January 17, 2016, 08:03:16 AM
Thanks I received my equivalent payment for my hashes at last. I will start mining from today onward.
But why is that my previously matured coins are not staking until now?

Also you need to add CIONZ on YoBit.net exchange for better liquidity of current assets. Wink
522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I send cash in mail? on: January 17, 2016, 07:53:39 AM
How about using a small box or like a check book size?

Good idea but not useful if the custom officers in your country or the receiver's country have the right to check whats inside your box.

You can follow what I said earlier because in most of the cases they go unnoticed. Make sure the envelope isn't too thick. Use the largest denomination of bill possible. ($500 = 5 x $100 bill etc) Up to 8 bills will fit into a #10 envelope along with a couple sheets of printer paper.

No custom officers will open any envelope. But they might open a small box if they feel something suspicious inside.

524  Economy / Gambling / Re: luckywheel24 - luckywheel24.com on: January 17, 2016, 07:09:59 AM
The site is cool.
It is just like another roulette game.
It would be better if you give us the chance to customize the position of multiplier keeping the house edge intact because I do not want to place 3 zeroes side by side.

Playing in demo mode now for testing out further. Will check it out with actual BTC later. Wink
525  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ore-mine explicit ponzi, impending collapse. on: January 17, 2016, 07:00:48 AM
I do not think this seizure notice on their site is legit. I think it is put up by Sector himself copying from Silk Road's seizure notice for an exit scam attempt.

The site has been running for more than 2 years. I can personally vouch that the owner isnt abandoning his signature campaign. We have ran that for 4 months total now with noone ever having to worry about being paid.

Really bruh?
2 years is a bit of an overkill.
Well, WHOIS does not lie.

Well I have a rough idea of how much TH/s he had in the summer but I will not say because I promised to Tommy that i wont disclose things unless he specifically announces things himself. It is respectful I feel. If you went to a mining farm and they said.. Please dont take pictures or you can take pictures but dont publish them, then again I would respect that. As if you lose peoples trust then you can lose out of getting the opportunity again and i certainly would not want to risk that.

Mining Sweden like most other legit mining companies wont publish the size of their mining farms.I am sure if you tried to ask Genesis Mining or Hashnest or KNC as example,  the exact size they wouldnt want to tell you either. They do that for many reasons and I have  not heard anymore about VIP shares or anything yet....perhaps email Tommy about that when he gets back.

I will also bring this thread to Tommys attention too and see if he can share some pictures again or other information to Indianacoin so that at least he can have a few things updated on this page. That is the best thing to do I believe. Perhaps you can mention this thread to him too @userghost

Well I can only believe in this if Tommy clarifies your statement with at least some pictures.
Btw I don't see anything illegal to show pictures.
This is not NSFW I guess. If it is highly confidential he can pm me with the pictures and I will update the list accordingly.
But pictures, though not videos, are a must for "valid" proofing.

in fact, miningsweden isn't legit and they provide bonus session for guaranteed return, it is a point of the scamming,

Can you show me where it is claimed? I need to see the proof.

btw your signature contains the referral advertisement; not to let you cry for getting banned, i was banned for 7 days due to the signature ad (more likely is my referral matter). Sad

That is not a referral advertisement of Mining Sweden. It is for Genesis Mining. Look before you write something.
No one gets banned for using referral links in his signature unless that link redirects to some NSFW stuff or a phishing/malware website. Get your facts straight.

529  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Why is this txn not showing up in my a/c? on: January 15, 2016, 07:05:58 PM
What can be genuine benefits of double spending the same coin other then being misused like the way its been here?

Double spends aren't having any benefits. Double-spending is the result of successfully spending some money more than once. Bitcoin protects against double spending by verifying each transaction added to the block chain to ensure that the inputs for the transaction had not previously been spent.

Other electronic systems prevent double-spending by having a master authoritative source that follows business rules for authorizing each transaction. Bitcoin uses a decentralized system, where a consensus among nodes following the same protocol is substituted for a central authority.

Bitcoin has some exposure to fraudulent double-spending when a transaction is first made, with less and less risk as a transaction gains confirmations.

Traders and merchants who accept a payment immediately on seeing "0/unconfirmed" are exposed to a double-spend occurring, if there was a fraudulent attempt that successfully communicated one transaction to the merchant yet communicated a different transaction that spends the same coin that was first to eventually make it into the block chain.

Merchants can take precautions (e.g., disable incoming connections, only connect to well connected nodes) to lessen the risk of a race attack but the risk cannot be eliminated. Therefore, the cost/benefit of the risk needs to be considered when accepting payment on 0/unconfirmed when there is no recourse against the attacker.

Here's an example of how macbook-air (owner of F2pool) had successfully double spent $10000 against OKPAY!
530  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware! ladrilhar.com is a phishing site! on: January 15, 2016, 01:04:07 PM
I find an irony in last two words of his last post which is sufficient for me to come to a conclusion that he is definitely a scammer.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1328842.msg13559873#msg13559873

Why do you all feel the greed for getting $127 only to sign up on a site?
Obviously its a poor scam attempt.
531  Other / Meta / Re: Are we allowed to report vouch beggars? on: January 15, 2016, 06:52:59 AM
This is not a scam accusation. It should be better to move in reputation section.
As it is a discussion about a forum function/rule, it should be moved to Meta(either OP can do it, or I can report the thread and it will be moved just the same).
Coming to the question, no vouch beggars aren't breaking any forum rule to deserve moderation. Although the first one you have listed do seem to be a bit on the spammy side. Either report them directly to hilariousandco(Yobit campaign manager)  or here to get hilarious' attention

Nope, this topic is not related to forum discussion so meta is not a good place to move.
532  Other / Meta / Re: Are we allowed to report vouch beggars? on: January 15, 2016, 06:46:32 AM
This is not a scam accusation. It should be better to move in reputation section.

Btw there is no such rule in this forum about begging.
I think the seller will most probably ignore them since they are newbies.

A vouch is always given to a trusted member from senior to legendary members.
And the sellers already knows about it.

Did they literally receive any vouches? No. So probably they are ignored everytime. Wink
You can report those spam posts though.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why saving seed in mail (secret words) isn't safe ? on: January 15, 2016, 06:40:13 AM
They advice you not to storing on mail, because normal users don't have a good protection on their mail. Ask to your friends how many have a 2FA protection on their mail activated. And be sure that some users will store it with a subject "Bitcoin Private Key".

My subject is similar to this one "kjzsdrhb" Tongue
Although its a tedious job to make access via 2FA every time but I literally enjoy doing that many times.

use high rag content bond paper. print on a laser printer. seal in multiple layers of baggies or seal in plastic laminate.

Wow. I thing you are talking about this one --- http://www.lcipaper.com/digital-print-cotton-paper.html
This is a better idea IMHO for those who do not feel safe on emails. Maybe I will try it later.

Again I have predicted an alt but could not enlighten you all with Blockchain evidence. My bad Undecided

Probably Bought account --- GamingOn (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=162824)

Some evidence which I gathered (although not strong enough):

536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why saving seed in mail (secret words) isn't safe ? on: January 14, 2016, 10:41:12 PM
probably equipped with the newest antivurus

Yes I have a premium version of Norton Internet Security + Bitdefender compiled together.

Hopefully they are not flawed like Cena...

I have tried using many paper wallets but they all got damaged in no time.
So I chose this option at last. If anyone having any other suggestions please share with us.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why saving seed in mail (secret words) isn't safe ? on: January 14, 2016, 10:26:36 PM
Really good plan... Did you hear about how easy dropbox employees had access to peoples files that were stored there? The same is probably true for your e-mail.

I don't think so. Google employees are not that creepy IMHO. Never seen anyone suing google for their compromised email accounts or Google-Drive files and photos. All you can see in news are occurring by other private parties like Apple (ICloud), Dropbox, Skydrive/Onedrive etc.

Also, just saying this may put a target on your account. Hacks can always happen, social engineering may even be your biggest enemy here.

Do you know my real personal email? Wink Heck even I never shared that email to my peers also. Tongue
Also I have been trained on how to tackle social engineering injections. Wink

You do what you got to do, but I wouldn't advise this. You probably don't need to log into your gmail at your home pc or laptop right? If someone steals that, they have acces to your key. And you probably didn't "hide" it sufficiently once this happens.

Never going to happen. All he has to do is to get access to both my PC/Laptop and my phone at the same time because you need that Google Auth code for an access every time. And everyday I always delete every history, passwords, caches etc. before I go to bed. Apparently he has to kill me before getting that access because I don't let anyone to play games even on my PC/Laptop.

apart from google itself which is well documented as happening..
i really wonder why people love storing private keys on third party services.

its funny that you would trust google who is known to read emails far more then relatives in your own house.
its funny that you would put the seed into a encoded narrative, but feel that your family have a higher technical understanding to decode it, compared to google

franky, you missed my 3rd point out there. Cheesy Can Google compromise my PGP key? I have not saved it there.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why saving seed in mail (secret words) isn't safe ? on: January 14, 2016, 09:53:55 PM
Every possible wallet warn about that but in fact this is even safer than storing it at home on a paper,
Think about it, you can write a poem with the secret words involved,  or put them involved with 1000 unrelated words or in unreleated Ebook and even miss word or two and remember them

Don't worry I have all seeds saved in email in form of a story and some highlights are done on those keywords. Wink
Actually they do not advice you to do so because if someone compromises your email account or the email provider then he will get all the details in no time. But I think writing on a paper is more vulnerable to theft, losing, and getting torn/damaged!

I do not worry about it because I have 4 counts of security measures.

1. I am using Gmail and nobody will ever be able to compromise Google. Wink

2. I have wrote them in form of a short story which will be hard to figure out except me.

3. I have encrypted the whole story with my PGP key and saved there.

4. I have 2FA enabled with my mobile which I do not use outside my house.
539  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: CoinMonster's Sell-Your-Bitcoins-for-USD Cash by Mail Service, Escrow Welcomed on: January 14, 2016, 09:44:40 PM
I am looking for a trade like this but will you be able to ship it in India since Indian Customs are the worst barrier here. They will investigate every packages before delivering it to the consignee. And seeing a foreign cash coming in they will charge too high from Tax Department. Undecided

Also delivery takes a longer time, almost a week and a half through UPS Express mail.

Is there any solutions to this? If you have one please share so that we can work it out.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I send cash in mail? on: January 14, 2016, 09:33:26 PM
First of all contact him to join LocalBitcoins.com and create a trade request so that his bitcoins remain in their escrow.

Secondly, to avoid cash being detected or stolen in the mail, be smart. Do not just throw cash in an envelope! Make sure the envelope isn't too thick. Use the largest denomination of bill possible. ($500 = 5 x $100 bill etc) Up to 8 bills will fit into a #10 envelope along with a couple sheets of printer paper. A larger amount of bills should be placed in a bubble mailer or a flat rate box. Include a note in the package indicating the Localbitcoin reference number/message for the trade.

When your mail arrives the destination, tell him beforehand to take a video of opening the package and counting/verifying the cash. This will be proof of how much cash is received.

You can also make a video proof of packing the cash before sending as this will be the vital proof to show Localbitcoins if the seller does not release escrow after receiving cash.

And always use registered mail with tracking as well as signature of consignee upon delivery. Best ones are USPS Elite/Priority and UPS Express.
