5261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: May 15, 2016, 08:35:12 PM
Don't know how this will affect altcoins, specifically ETH mining but Videocardz has a post up about 1080 specs and it breaks down Bitcoin mining vs 980TI and R9 Fury X.

1080 - 1056.438 mHash
980ti - 769.191 mHash
R9 Fury X - 857.575 mHash

If that scales, in theory the 1070 for $380 might beat the R9 Fury X in the above instance.

That is for "bitcoin" mining which does not need much memory access. The Ethereum needs a lot of memory access.
5262  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: May 01, 2016, 04:10:19 PM
I buy bitcoins once a month if the price is okay because I do not have a lot of money to spent so only if I can afford it I'm buying bitcoins.
Right now its still possible but if the bitcoin has hit the 500 dollar I will most likely not buy any bitcoins anymore.

at some point you have enough coins and then you can just sit back and enjoy seeing the value of your coins go up. i am doing the same right now. the only reason i buy currently is because i am a trader. this allows me to generate some extra coins while i am holding my other coins safely in offline storage.

Do you do range trading at the moment? i.e, you buy at $440 and sell at $460? The price is within a range recently.
5263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Video: David Cameron UK Prime Minister says "Blockchain" on: April 19, 2016, 10:41:46 AM
The interesting aspect of that is a man facing some scrutiny over being connected to the panama papers,so not sure if we want him endorsing bitcoin on his way out the door. The banks love blockchain but not bitcoin and the reason they want it is so they can go back to controlling every aspect of our finances.

Too late mate, George Osborne's already bought Dodgy Dave some bitcoin so he can buy some flake off Nucleus.

Is this a real picture of  George Osborne buying the bitcoin?
5264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did any of you buy thanks to Mike Hearn's discount yet? on: April 09, 2016, 09:25:11 AM
I have bought some bitcoins during the price drop due to the comments from Mike Hearn. I will buy some more in the future dip.
5265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: March 28, 2016, 03:32:02 PM
Although I don't own any ETH yet I think in this year it will become more "stable" regarding prices - just like currently BTC is (but let's see what halving will bring)

The halving will double the price and arouse more interest from people, so the price will rise again.
5266  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: March 03, 2016, 04:14:03 PM
I used to buy some small amounts when the price has fallen more than the regular small movements, sometimes the price fall more but sometimes the price recover so I consider it a good type of trading in my opinion.

I usually buy when the price drop a lot. But I keep most of my coins. I will use some I need to buy things.
5267  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: February 20, 2016, 08:26:59 AM
When the price going down like 2-3 days ago, i buy some bitcoins and now the bitcoin price increase a bit high and i already sold them all, for now i'm waiting the price going down again.

I think the price will not go down again, unless the Bitcoin Core team rejects the ultimatum issued by the miner and payment processors.

There is no big bad news to drive the price down at the moment. Can anybody think of a big bad news?
5268  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: February 07, 2016, 09:34:39 AM
When I need and when prices fall  Wink

I think the price is quite low at the moment. It is stablizing after last year's big jump. It could rise further this year.
5269  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2016, 10:31:47 AM
I Bitcoin bought for a low price. I was lucky. So I hope it's going to rise so I've profit.
But perhaps you can now buy and you may still have profit.

The present price is low compared to the price we will see in a few months after the bock reward halving. So we can still buy.
5270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Call: $700 on: January 12, 2016, 10:35:03 AM
I think $700 is not a problem for Christmas 2016. The price will hold above $700 by the end of the year.
5271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Full node with search function??? on: January 01, 2016, 10:23:08 AM
Yeah sounds like a lot of hassle, think i will just continue to use a blockexplorer website.

Yes. I also use website block explorer. That is fast and I do not type command lines. I can see more with block explorer.
5272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Call: $700 on: December 20, 2015, 09:54:16 AM
It is unlikely that the price will rise to $700 and hold there. There is no catalyst for that to happen.
5273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL Is Craig Wright Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 09, 2015, 09:11:14 AM
it would be nice  Cool although if it went back up to 1000, more "bitcoin inventors" might be raided it seems. bit sad really

The authority will try to get most out of bitcoin. However, I do not think that guy is Satoshi. Satoshi is invisible.
5274  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: November 29, 2015, 12:36:32 PM
I bought a few through localbitcoins. I never sold any. I just use it when the price is high. I hold most bitcoin.
