I hear from many sources that btc is used for trading much more than it is for goods and services; doesn't that make it an asset ??
and is that necessarily a bad thing ?? and what can we do about it as a community ??
Bitcoin serve as an assets and as a currency at the same time. It serve as assets because its value appreciate over time and yield good return for those who bought them when its market value was lower as copcompared to what it is now. And it serve as a currency because one can use it to purchase an items. Yep, it is a multi purpose,it us indeed beneficial for everyone, it is an asset since it's good for long term investment and same with as a currency for online transactions. |

We can not speculate about the price because 2017 has not even finished yet, but of course that it can reach that price by next year, bitcoin rised a lot during this year, and probably the same will happen on the next one, i still have a little hope about seeing bitcoin over $15k or $20k on 2018 or in 2019, i am not in a hurry to see bitcoin at those levels, but we all would love to see it happening, no matter what.
It has that potential, but only that it can happen without any fud.
if it wilk continue to uncreasw without a major dump then posiibility that it can really inxrease up to that amount or greater but never expect too much just go with the flow. |

Is there any reason why the btc price is dropping that much today? Are people scared by the hard fork or why is it dropping?
People already sell their bitcoin because of incoming Hard fork. They think that hard fork will happen on Oct 25, but it did not happen yet. I think the next hard fork will happen on November. I also think that bitcoin will still rise after dropping the price after the hard fork, that is my opinion. We'll pump and dump were usually fine, i just don't know yet about the fork why it's being moved i thought there's just problems occur that day ,well will see it later in some threads. The price will continue to rise as long as the btg fork were not ved but will always recover. |

I don't get a thinking of falling bitcoin values. Because what's happening now is bitcoin getting higher uphill. Fantastic value continues to happen in bitcoin. As if want to continue towards $10K in Q1 2018.
It may really happen,since bitcoin gains more popularity every now and then, i was amazed how the price moving upward that it makes me decide to hold more bitcoin as much as possible. |

Nope, Bitcoin is continue to go on top and this will gonna be important currency in the next weeks or months etc. Too many investor work together in different aspect and I amaze on observing those strategy in bitcoin industry. That's why the word worry is not exist to this thread.

your strategies were good with your basic capital you're able to buy and buy again and makes your bitcoin was increase but with the current price it doesn't really works because the price looks stable $4000 above unless the price might be back to $2000 then your bitcoin maybe increase with very fast
Actually, every strategy has the right and bad time to implements. Just like this, If you're using this method while the bitcoin price was stable, altought you will not get a profit from it. But whe you see nowadays, while the price are in the peak, I believe this strategy could work to increase your amount of bitcoin. I understand that is difficult to decide when was the peak, is it a peak already or it will continue to rise. But at least, we could decide to cash out while it is near the peak, not must be in peak. good luck. it will only up for us ,how we will make decusion and how we do research, having some saving and doing some strategies on learning to trade and do some research will be fine as long as yu know what you're doing. |

I am really amazed how bitcoins keep on pumping. When I started here, the maximum value was $2.5k and now it's over $5k. I can't avoid spending my btc and I really regret it. Well I have predicted this and nearly $6k by the end of the year. I wonder how the fork will affect the new price.
I spend some too after it dips from China bans,and regreting it now but still its good to see that even bans happen ot was still able to recovdr and to pump. |

There are many reasons you can chose for not investing in Crypto coins. However, this should NOT be one of them. Besides, any time they "ban" something, or try to steer you away from it, it tends to get stronger. Instead of running from the crypto, you should be running towards them with wide open arms! I know I am.

wveryday i always check the bitcoin price not to surprise my self but ofcourse to know my moves the lrice is really expensive now im holding for more since the segwit is not yet done bitcoin will continuously increasing and the demand and colume it self until its finish they saving it for another bonuses theyget. I would like to be informed on what happens to your investment if ICO didn't reach its minimum capital. As far as I know, ICO will be refunded to its investor. But a particular ICO told me that their project will continue and the coins will still be on exchanges even if didnt hit the minimum cap. Is this true? or is it possible to be a scam? Icos will raise money if they want to do any legit thing. Shitty Icos wont raise required capital and if they dont they will be listed on a terrible and bullshit exchange ,pay them around 1-5 btc and enjoy the rest of their funds raised for personal purposes. Now even the legits one were failing since shitty coins were much good on marketing or to scam people, legit one when failed will return money investors. And sometimes its sad to see those ico that failed with good interest and willing to make development. |

It is up to you to invest in it or not but for me it is a good investment to invest into ICO since they give nice returns whenever one succeeds. It is a high risk high reward like system with lesser the risk if one research properly before investing into one. I suggest OP to invest only small amounts of money that you are ready to lose, not all ICO is guaranteed to give returns. yes indeed not all ICO provide results in accordance with the rules early, and I am experiencing it. I agree with you to be more careful again in investing in ICO. and I suggest it might be better to hold bitcoin up to 2-3 years ahead of course this is a lucrative investment and I think is quite safe. Those who hold btc this January already earned now multiple of their investments, if were too scared to risk on Ico our money, then holding will be fine. But risking in ico especially those have potential can give more benefits on us so try sometimes. |

What will you do if some altcoin (XMR or ETH for example surpasses the value of BTC, either in market cap or by the price of a token each? Not impossible but unlikely. Maybe only in case that some major flaw is found in bitcoin which is not present in future x coin and therefore people migrate to it to protext their investments. What will i do? No idea at the moment tbh. Simple when the whales or we can call them are the mover the price of Bitcoin want to transfer their money to other altcoin, they will have many reasons make us agree. Of course, the technology and the ability of the Bitcoin system will be the subject they can take advantage in future as your said. I can see a crash coming. Just look back at Bitcoin's history, there's cycles of booms and busts. Seeing it bottom out in low to mid 2000s is not outside realm of possibility...
I really dont understand the reason for this conclusion because to the best of my knowledge what is being witnessed now is still recovery to the point where the price was able to reach and this has been happening for couple of weeks still the peak point has not been reached. Price has crashed even to below $4000s but this time, I am optimistic the recovery will be constant at above $4500 but after the fork, we can then see a full blown price because a lot of people who are hoarding to get higher amount of equivalent coin will have more money to buy more. I understand the fear but I dont see price crashing back to the 2000s. After the fork definitely dump will happen, we only buy btc now to have free bitcoin gold after that we will be back on trading of alts. So better not expect too much after fork. |
