5381  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Explosive devices sent to Bill/Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, CNN on: October 24, 2018, 10:29:13 PM
I wasn't expecting a conspiracy theory until at least page 3, well done.

I'm not one to jump to conclusions, or believe in conspiracies in general, but...

It IS kinda coincidental that the packages are sent to Trumps most vociferous critics, not one exploded, and the timing; right before the midterm...  Since the recent "Kavanaugh Effect" has been demonstrably hurtful the Democrats, it wouldn't surprise me if some Left Wing Extremest did this in an attempt to turn the tables.

The packages are being taken to Quantico for disassembly.  If we don't hear anything about it tomorrow, you'll know TecShare was right.  If the left wing media buries the story we'll know it's because it won't help the Democrats.

Who benefits from this?
Who has the ability and means to pull this off?
What does this accomplish?
What possible motivations could be behind this?
Why is the timing so close to midterm elections?
Who has traditionally occupied the rhetoric of victimization?
What could this serve to distract from?

Critical thinking doesn't seem to be at all common anymore.  Just look over in the Altcoin board for proof.

Another scammer yapping about facts...

I can't believe this lunacy has bee raging for over three years.  Who in their right mind would even consider that the earth is flat?  In this day and age you'd have to be a raving lunatic to even think that, a rabid moron to argue it to rational people.

Hey @suchmoon, I suggest a new strategy: Let the wookiee win.
5383  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Man made climate change on: October 16, 2018, 04:08:38 PM
Of course Climate Change is real, it's been happening since the Big Bang.  It's cyclic.  It's inevitable.  It's NOT all about you.
How about we look a bit further back in time, and really see what this planet has been up to:

5384  Other / Politics & Society / Cultural Appropriation and Acceptable Racism on: October 16, 2018, 03:57:21 PM
For decades the media has vilified racism, bigotry, and prejudice; and rightfully so.  Of course I resent racism of any kind, regardless of who it's directed towards.  People should be judged on their character, personality, integrity and not on the color of their toe nails or the breadth of their nostrils.

But now I see a trend that makes me cringe.  Bigotry and prejudice are still ripe and getting pungent, but now it's being directed at white men.  And it's all coming from the Left leaning Progressives, who are the ones that spent decades screaming for racial justice.  Now they want to subject those who founded and built this great country to their brand of Justifiable Racism.

They create phrases like White Privilege, Affirmative Action, Diversity, Inclusion.  But the way the words are used is often the exact opposite of their meaning.

More and more I'm finding myself in an Orwellian reality.  Double speak; four legs good, two legs better.

What do you folks think?

I think you may have to verify this message with an Electrum SegWit wallet.  I can't seem to get it to verify by any other method.

Code:

This is DireWolfM14 here on Bitcointalk.org on 14 OCT 2018
I'm signing this message with my SegWit wallet.

Anyway, here's the same message above signed using a previously staked address.

Plagiarism:

I predict at least 50% are weak hands and will wimp out within a few weeks and sell for cheap.
This is a long term project and I love the fact, that this is not another fast scam coin vanishing after some profit was made.

I really think the way this coin is distributed is well thought through and has a real chance to establish on the market.
I will hold the coin long term for sure.

Like most folks who get banned, you are guilty of plagiarism.  You will not get your account back.

Tube8 joins Playboy TV and Stormy Daniels in integrating the cryptocurrency to its platform. Both Playboy TV and Daniels announced earlier this year that they would use the token as a reward system for viewers.

Lol, that would be funny if it was sarcasm, too bad it isn't.  That's also a great way of finding your way to "Ignore" list of almost anybody who is likely to give out merit.
5391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh OT Thread on: October 10, 2018, 05:34:15 PM
No, the republicans didn't want Merrick Garland on the court, so they just held out and waited.  They didn't go around calling all the women he went to high school with to find one willing to perpetrate a political hitjob.  Only democrats are that desperate for power.

Republicans could "hold out" on Garland because they had the majority. Similarly, they were desperate to push Kavanaugh through quickly because they fear losing the majority and being "garlanded" by Democrats.

The irony is that their own antics may have blown all chances they had to take the senate.  The Creepy Porn Lawyer just had to go full retard and light the fuse.  Can we all agree to not give that schmuck any more attention?

5392  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh OT Thread on: October 10, 2018, 04:58:44 PM
Clinton *cough cough*

The media continues to exonerate Clinton for his sexual assault and rape allegations, while continuing to ignore corroborating witnesses and the physical evidence.  None of which exist in teh allegations against Kavanaugh.

Where were these baying hounds screaming "Believe Her" when Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and the others were telling their stories of Bill's misconduct?  What about Karen Monahan who told her doctor about the abuse, and who's friends saw her with visible marks from abuse at the hands of Keith Ellison?  Why don't they believe her?

Why did the stories about Kavanaugh have such a suspicious timing to them?

No, the republicans didn't want Merrick Garland on the court, so they just held out and waited.  They didn't go around calling all the women he went to high school with to find one willing to perpetrate a political hitjob.  Only democrats are that desperate for power.

Fucking fantastic job of taking something out of context to build a straw-man that you can attack

I didn't take it out of context.  It's your punctuation (or lack of) that's to blame.

I suspect what you meant was "nor do I care, to be honest."  So yeah, I knew what you meant, but I had to let my inner asshole out for a spell.   Wink

5394  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: October 09, 2018, 09:52:37 PM
Entrepreneurship
Capitalism limits business ownership to the capitalist class that makes up a small percentage of the population while socialism provides all workers the opportunity to be entrepreneurs.  For example, Marcora law In Italy allows for unemployment to be used as a lump sum of capital to start a business and now over 30% of the population in the Bologna region work in cooperatives.

Capitalist class?  So now it's a CLASS?  Typical commie double-speak.  I've started and sold two businesses in my life, one I started with $300.  I'm an immigrant in this country, not a member of any CLASS!  I'm in a class of my own!

Innovation
Mondragon corporation is a worker cooperative in Spain.

Spain isn't socialist or communist, that's why there are corporations there.  In a free market a corporation can organize itself in anyway it sees fit.  I've worked for an ESOP, I've got nothing against people making their own choices, that's why I choose freedom.

Motivation
It is absurd to suggest workers would be more motivated to take orders in poor working conditions just  to fill the pockets of someone they don’t even know.  Of course motivation would be much higher in a democratic work environment where the worker benefits directly from the fruit of their labor.  It should be obvious that people take much more pride in working for a company they own.

That is the most foolish thing I've ever heard.  I work for a multinational corporation and I have great working conditions.  Keep spreading your lies, maybe the gullible and inexperienced will fall for your scam.

The irony of your post is palpable.  There's so much that supports my argument and contradicts your own.  You seem to be so steadfast in your beliefs, almost like a religious fervor.

I'm lazy?  All the information you need to answer your own question is in the link you posted.  Or are you too lazy to read it for yourself?

Funny you aren't denying my allegation that you are not the originator of your account.

The odds of that happening are very low if you are expressing a unique idea, using your own words, and you have a reasonably good vocabulary.

One of the biggest problems this forum experiences are people who don't read the entire thread before replying.  They reply to the OP without any clue what has already been discussed.  The risk is more when people do that.  But again, although very likely to be a shitpost, it's not likely to be plagiarism.

You're joking I hope?  Cheesy

A hero account making that post is a bit odd.  If you dig a little deeper you'll notice some evidence that the account may have a newbie for an owner.

he said to me: Participating in an on-forum altcoin giveaway (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3953664.0). Ban duration: 7 days

Yes, yes, your "friend" was originally banned for 7 days, but you said it's been longer than 7 days.  I found where your "friend" had been guilty of plagiarism, and for that the ban will become permanent.  Plagiarism equals permanent ban, no second chances, no warning, no recourse.  Your "friend" is done here.

If you (or your "friend") don't know what plagiarism means, look here:

Wouldn't this post be better suited be on the Beginners & Help board? I mean the target audience is much better suited there, unless you’re foreseeing a constant mass migration of Newbies to Meta, planning to settle here long term (there’s a temporary one now for obvious reasons)…

Change the title to

Newbies  All take heed; plagiarism is not taken lightly here.
Change it to All.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I think the 7-day ban turned into a permanent ban due to plagiarism.

The only non-bounty reply the person made in 45 posts:
