5381  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack has a problem in Dice game on: September 29, 2019, 12:50:47 PM
Edit 5: Final update

The issue was recognized by the Fortunejack yesterday. Today around 11:45 UTC a new update was pushed
Hence the off-by-one error resolved.
Screenshot of the confirmation: https://imgur.com/a/mgH5Pzo
I checked the roll numbers and everything looks perfect.

Some high volume players could have been seriously adversely affected by this.

Has Fortunejack mentioned how they plan to reimburse anybody that has had their money stolen in this way?
Naa ahhh , this gonna be a long journey for them to completely reimburse everyone who affected since this bug indicated was there since day one.

Wondering how much fortunejack pay op for this finding ....  Roll Eyes a long time ago I reported similar technical problems and received my bug rewards quite huge. At op case level it must be super huge rewards  Grin . PM me op if you wonder how much I've got. I'll tell you mine.

However sometimes if you didn't ask for the bounty rewards.. you'll be considered help them voluntarily which I hated that part unfortunately.
For sites like Fortunejack there would really be a bounty bug for this one yet the level of technical problem is quite high so its expected to be high too.
If you arent caring too much on what did you find out then you would end up something like that same as you said.It is worthy to get up some rewards with
these finds arent that basic ones that a simple joe can find on.
Even big names have this bugs on their websites because they are upgrading and updating on what's inside. I'm wondering what would a bug bounty hunter does though I'm pretty sure they are testing everything so they could find bugs cause it's pretty obvious but I'm still curious. Does the platform provide what they need? like funds? computer? or they are just ordinary people hired to play and report encountered bugs?
5382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting too emotional while trading crypto on: September 29, 2019, 11:03:15 AM
for advice, trading should be able to implement trading that is very relaxed, you trade at least have to do long-term trading because if you trade always use emotions then you will find it hard to get profit, indeed the most difficult is to control the emotions you have.
Yes you will have to control your emotions in trading as a good trader knows how to handle himself in even a worst situations but those who are not having any control over their emotions so they will suffer lose after wards. We only should know if the market is dumping so we can simply hold and wait but if market is getting green we can sell it to trade profitable.
It's a natural thing that our emotions will really react to the things or decisions we do in life especially if money is directly involved. But with crypto trading, it's very important that a trader should be able to control his emotions and if he can do that, there will be high chances that he will trade successfully and make good profits after trading.
Definitely, emotions can't hide within yourself but you can control it. There is emotion involved in every situation and so on trading cryptocurrencies but a trader should know how to cope up with these challenges and have the high emotional intelligence to manage crucial instances. Self-awareness is a must when trading especially when you are a full-time trader, always look at a bigger picture. And self-regulation on handling your thoughts in pursuit of long term goals.
5383  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Blockchain trigger a massive boost in our economy? on: September 29, 2019, 10:34:39 AM
I wonder how the government will work on this since it is a decentralized system. Undoubtedly blockchain has a number of advantages like transparency, next-level security, tracks or traceability, less cost and most importantly the efficiency of every transaction. But will the government would look over it? will the government allow an uncontrolled flow? Blockchain is still at large to study as most of the economist are not happy with these slight changes.
5384  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blockchain Poker - Play Poker with Bitcoin (for free) on: September 29, 2019, 10:14:56 AM
I don't know if it was just me... but the first time when I visited the website it took too long to load!
The UI and design is clean and simple. This is usually a good thing but players might get bored after few rounds.
Maybe if you allow players to customize their profiles or choose from different templates it will make it more entertaining.

You did a great job so far tho.
Same here I tried the gambling platform and it took a while to load seems like there is a problem with their server or the website have just too many users that website can't handle the traffic.
The interface is clean and neat however the design is poorly executed, it is like an old mobile app on pc. The free coins to startup which is just a 100 satoshi won't matter at all because it is too small though they made it just to catch with their target market to try their platform. If you are just a free satoshi player, expect a long time to withdraw your satoshi because its minimum is 100,000 satoshi.   Cheesy
5385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: September 28, 2019, 09:02:40 AM
You can call yourself as a professional gambler or whatever who make a living out of it successfully for years ... until the time where you lost everything because of gambling come.
I don't think people who go home with nothing but stories of the casino after losing everything can be called professionals!
Well you have a point because professionals has the ability to be almost perfect on their field before they can claim professionalism but before that they cannot be considered as one.
~

In my opinion, most of the so called "professionals" are just people who were lucky enough to be in profit from their gambling activity for several years in row. When some of them lose big time we just forget about them, and don't call them "professionals" any more, but we always have others taking their place. I watched a lot of high stakes poker games on YouTube, and I can say there is nothing special about most of the players there. They make mistakes, like anyone else, and lose a lot, and sometimes they win big because of luck, and that's pretty much it.

I think of professionals that they were the ones who compete on tournaments with prize pools. Those who are just playing to entertain themselves are just casual players or those who are spending time and expecting to make profit. But these professionals wouldn't be professional without the luck and fortune.

"They make mistakes, like anyone else, and lose a lot, and sometimes they win big because of luck, and that's pretty much it."
There is nothing special on them, they are just experienced ones but then again they commit mistakes like normal players.
5386  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Another site caught not being "provably fair" Luckyfish.io on: September 28, 2019, 08:21:54 AM
It's not surprising since there are high competition between these gambling sites that tells you that they are provably fair. It's really interesting at first to test newly launched gambling sites to test and compare to your past platform but once you encounter some errors or bugs that makes you lose will really turn to disappointment. For me just play on average ones, the one that you personally know website and experienced the literal provably fair policy. Quick tip before playing on some new or existing gambling platform try to research and read here, you can just type the keyword or even the domain to find it.
5388  Economy / Economics / Re: Bakkt released September 23 Is it going to pump or dump the price? on: September 26, 2019, 04:02:25 PM
I do think the bakkt launch is at least part of the reason for the market-wide price drops. It seems like an over-reaction however. Perhaps it caused a slight dip which was then made worse by people jumping in and panic-selling. Whatever, it doesn't seem like the news should be sufficient to trigger the scale of fall that we've seen. I expect that we will see a recovery soon.
Bakkt literally doesn't have enough volume to make bitcoin go down like this, these guys didn't get 1% of the total volume, how could they potentially be the reason for the bitcoin dropping this quickly, sure they may have that option when they go big enough and be like 5%-10% of all bitcoin volumes one day but if they can't manage to do that or at least can't do it now so it makes no sense that cause would be them.

I would personally put the blame on the manipulators who saw that bitcoin price was prime to go up so they dropped the price a bit, maybe it will go down even more and for couple months bitcoin will be same but eventually after a while they will let the brakes go and we will move up just like 3k to 10k time.
The volume of bakkt is noticeably low than anticipated but let us not overreact on that, why? because bakkt is created for long term use. They have these daily and monthly future contracts and still pursuing new investors to put height on their price estimation. Bitcoin dumps a thousand of its current price after the bakkt officially launched, did bakkt affect it? Yes, because cryptocurrency is very specualtive when it comes to the market and 80% or more of market is not regulated. We expected high on this event even  we're uncertain, this kind of event already happened, don't be surprise.
5389  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Initial Offerings Overpriced? on: September 26, 2019, 03:34:33 PM
While talking about initial coin offerings, we need to compare each and every one of them with the Ethereum ICO of 2015. I consider the Ether ICO as a benchmark for measuring the coin offerings. Back then 52 million tokens were on sale and the soft-cap was fixed at $16 million. Compare it to the current bunch of ICOs, who ask for $100 million or more, with even the initial phase of development not completed.
These youngins says that Initial offerings are overpriced when in fact its price is lower depends on Initial offering phase, whether its pre-sale or main sale  etc.. I guess I can see your perception why'd you ask if its overpriced, everytime an offering ends and listing are on its way price is easily decrease due to the fact that major investors are dumping and smaller investors get left behind on selling. That is why you need to consider some factors before investing, first check the reputation of the team then the value of the company and product if it will go long term or just short term, lastly the foundation or backbone of the project. I can say initial offerings these days are weak as there is great competition when it comes to the market.
5390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: September 26, 2019, 02:38:43 PM
I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?

Do you know that one day bitcoin will become a main stream currency and we will be using it in physical places like hotels, restaurants and shops. At that time bitcoin will be used in physical casino also.

Don't be much hypothetical here, we've known bitcoin for so long, we've known its capability but let us not forget that it contain high volatility rate which is more likely the reason why people would easily give up on crypto. There are already establishments that acknowledge cryptocurrency, most of them are well known companies across the globe. I don't think physical casinos would do the same as they are regulated by the government, being that said casinos also have workers to be paid not by means of bitcoin but fiat. We need more time, much time to transition into cashless society.
5391  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack has a problem in Dice game on: September 26, 2019, 12:58:28 PM
It's pretty nuts that nobody noticed this even though it was a persistent issue for years. I'm curious to see how much extra Fortunejack made from this and what they will do to reimburse the effected players. Given that this issue dates back years it will be extremely difficult to even figure out who was effected and to what degree, but given this level of error they should really spend some time to get this right.

I am sure this was not done deliberately and this bug has just been figured out. Obviously they cannot compensate the players for this but the good thing is that they have accepted it and will update it. Also the new bug bounty announced by fortune jack is yet another step towards transparency and good faith.

They can if they wish to do it, there must be a full history of bets made at Fortunejack so they can give some compensation for those who were affected. Obviously as what is said by Stunna, it might be difficult and take a lot of time but I believe it can be checked. The amount of win bets that graded as lose bets can be a huge amount since its been many years already, lets see what Fortunejack is going to do to deal with this. IMO, giving bug bounty for those who find this bug is not enough because the affected players deserves to get their money back if they lost some money due to this bug.
Yes they can if they want to really give meaning on "Provably Fair". They have tracks on record for each player, I know they can trace who encountered this bug on their dice game. Compensation for players are needed since they weren't aware of this, small or big bettors, they deserve to be treated with fairness. We get it, house always wins but the fact that there is a chance to win is undeniable.
5392  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: September 25, 2019, 01:37:14 PM
Why always talking about libra coin without know when is listing and open for public selling, until now we do not hear what happen with Libra coin still available or have stop for launching to the public.

It is not yet launched, but there are a lot of scandals connected with Libra. It is known that FB cannot care about the anonymity of its subscribers. Facebook plans to launch its Libra cryptocurrency next year. Until now, it has been criticized only by regulators around the world. Earlier, the social media giant was involved in a scandal with Cambridge Analytica, which undermined the reputation of Facebook. This is the second time a company is involved in a data breach.
Definitely, Cambridge Analytica is a big data scandal especially it involves the social networking site king, Facebook. Since libra is facebook's digital currency there will be frequent questions, " Is our anonymity safe"
" Does the policies are implemented? " and others concerning the safety of using Libra currency. Hence, after Mark Zuckerberg lost billions of dollars on facebook market cap, he apologized for this issue and had changed the facebook's policy on personal data gathering. I believe they already learned their lesson after 2 scandals on data breaching and know that they were prepared on launching this one.

5394  Economy / Economics / Re: $175 billion just printed and the Bitcoin price goes down! on: September 24, 2019, 04:08:11 PM
That won't go for too long if they keep printing too much money tho. Like yeah sure dollar is a global reserve thing right now but at the end of the day there is no way dollar could continue to lose value by printing more dollars and then still hope that nations would hold a currency that is constantly losing money on their reserves.

If a country realizes that the dollars they worked hard to save on the reserves worth nothing now, they will start focusing more on Euro and even Yuan if they can just to have a better future on their reserves, if they ever need dollars for something they would change exchange their euro for dollars for that job and then be done with it but not hold it. Hence, dollar needs to hold its value as long as possible .
I believe they are not printing too much money as they already did this 10 years ago, this is from fed's fund to save their country bank's liquidity. If they do some excess printing without telling the international organization they might face a huge problem with international laws. This might be a trap for small investors to make look the market gradually increasing due to the fact that they divided the amount into some smaller amount and inserted to the market. I think they were doing this on great purpose, not just on bank requirements. Something what?
5395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first Bakkt Bitcoin Futures trade on: September 23, 2019, 04:18:10 PM
This is the key for mass adoption, not only on restaurants with btc payment method but surely this will hit on other industry even it has a low trading volume. Months by now it will start pushing the price of bitcoin making it unstoppable next year. Let us pray for institutional investor to get jump in BAKKT as they are anticipated to do the price increase making the price of bitcoin healthy in long term.
5396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Altcoins can get you Rekt on: September 23, 2019, 03:42:32 PM
I totally agree with this statement, holding Altcoins destroys too many people, including my family. We could have made a lot of money in early 2018 but we made a terrible decision not to sell and we lost all our holdings almost in dollar and sat value. I do not know in the future if we can ever get even a remote amount of it back but I believe our big chance is now well and truly over. Now whoever made big money has already made it and now only the big traders and capital can make anything now that is decent.
It depends on type of altcoin you are holding, you could've seen what's coming for altcoin on early 2018 as bitcoin is slowly decreasing its value. As I am bounty hunter I really quick sold my altcoins I got from my projects, I don't mind losing or gaining from it. Now this will be a lesson for you, Hold what's really have a potential. As I see the market now only huge capital trader are just earning.
5397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitter Truth about Bounties on: September 22, 2019, 03:30:39 PM
The glory days of bounty huntings was 2017, but it is still alive these days. You just need to find great bounties, of course accompanied with luck. Most likely those full time bounty hunters in 2017 are currently trading these days. Bounty hunting should only be treated as secondary source of income, not primary source.
I agree those days were the greatest days of bounty hunting and I benefited from that one. Bounty hunting is not dead and the truth is scammers just found that ICO is a huge opportunity to catch easy and newbie investors and resulted to mass scam ICO projects. I personally don't label them as income but more of incentive because ICO is not that sure of making the project successful.
5398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty hunters and Exchanges. on: September 22, 2019, 01:25:52 PM
How many exchange accounts are created will not affect anything. All depends on the coins and projects that you follow. each project has their own choice of exchange. I already have many exchange accounts, almost all of my exchange accounts are registered. The most important coins are sold at the right exchange.
Yeah you're right, the number on how many accounts should you possess as a bounty hunter never affects. And as a bounty hunter you should follow their rules and do not have the rights to bragged their team whenever they decide to enlist their tokens. Multiple exchanges is a must as a bounty hunter as you are just going to sell their tokens. But on some cases, there are bounty hunters who sold their tokens using p2p transaction.
5399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to $20,000 before 2020? on: September 20, 2019, 04:11:48 PM
3 months left to reach 2020 and in my opinion this is a very short time, no one can predict accurately about the increase in the value of bitcoin and all of them are just predictions that are not necessarily proven to be true.
the price of bitcoin reaching $ 20,000 or more is everyone's hope and let bitcoin move as it is.
3 months for bitcoin to reach $20000 is not short, in fact that is a very long time. We have seen the price up and down for a quite long time. If you can still remember back 2017 it just took 4 months to reach its all time high price roughly $21000, and that's the time more people come over the cryptocurrency. Maybe 2018 is not bitcoin's year, maybe this year or also not but don't let this matter affect your interest, time will come that bitcoin will be more than what you think.
5400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be used in Money laundering and Terrorism? on: September 20, 2019, 02:09:49 PM
Yes it could be used but if its not possible with the fiat money means then why terrorism and other crime activities were still exists.

Crimes do exist even before cryptocurrency were not created and this means that cryptocurrency has nothing to do with such crimes however, after being created it also created a new problem and possible crime involving crypto. As for my opinion there are terrorist because they are against the government where they belong, it has a low percentage where crypto were used to transact with its victim. There are already cases where crypto is used for money laundering simple because it is very difficult to track.
