I am surprised Barcelona have not concluded their transfer dealings from last summer and are looking to bring in some more players this winter. Bringing in more signings will only mean we will also see more departures too. It seems Xavi isn't satisfied with the level of performance of the team and wants to strengthen his side. The intriguing one is their interest in Martinelli, I can bet Arsenal will not sell anytime soon, they would have to sort other alternatives.
Strange thoughts returned from Xavi even though they already had players who were very good in attack.
I personally feel that rather than them looking for a new striker they better focus on defense and for strikers there Xavi would be better off maximizing the performance of Ferran Torres and Ansu fati now.
They are two good youngsters and this has to be maximized rather than being preoccupied with increasing the budget for strikers.

actually you can just watch the replay if you can't watch the live broadcast let alone having to risk your own health by staying up late every night, to be honest I also feel lonely because the world cup match is still on holiday waiting for the next match to see argentina vs the netherlands
But it really feels a little bland, of course, if we just watch the replay because even if we watch it on TV, when it's live, it's clear that it will be much more different in terms of excitement than the live broadcast.
Watching rebroadcasts when I already know the score that happened for me personally will lose interest in watching a little and prefer to see the highlights rather than having to watch the whole.

Bookmakers see the chances of teams like this:

Manchester city 1.44

Arsenal 3.50

And I think that even if Haaland gets injured or abruptly leaves for Real in the winter, nothing will change. I think that everything will end as such situations usually end - the favorite will gradually overtake the weaker challenger. Therefore, 1.44 actually looks very tempting. Maybe I should bet - because I will still be insured (I will be very happy if City does not become a champion  Grin ).
Actually, for betting who will be at the top at the end, I'm not too interested in that because it really takes a long time and I don't really like to wait that long.
But I agree with what you said because the favorite team will usually catch up sooner or later even though they are currently at the bottom.
this seems to be a certainty because usually they have sufficient resources both in terms of finance and team quality so that slowly when they find better performance it is clear that there is still a big chance of catching up.

The rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester United will be great. If they meet after the World Cup, it is likely that both teams will perform as they did before the World Cup. I think players from both teams have gained experience from playing in the World Cup which we will see reflected for their clubs after the World Cup.

It's actually a good thing that your team players are regulars with there country but have we look at the downside of it. This players could get injured major example is the Gabriel Jesus injury scare, although not yet confirmed but it will surely affect Arsenal if it is true. Another side is fatigue could easily set in and would accept the team with many fixtures coming up after the world Cup.
But once again, we also can't make this seem like a mistake because indeed for a professional player to be and defend his own country's national team is a gift and this they have always dreamed of.
Gabriel is unlucky in this case because indeed with his current condition at least 2 or 3 months he has to rest and this is a loss for Arsenal.

I would like to point out a detail about a possible Endrick transfer to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid aren't going to be able to sign him until he turns 18. Because there is such rule in his country. Frankly speaking, I find this rule pretty meaningless. Because Endrick can improve his game much faster if he joins a team like Real Madrid which have excellent youth setup for young talents to improve themselves. Real Madrid will have to wait for two more years to be able to complete this deal. As long as they reach a verbal agreement with the player it would still be enough for them for now I assume.
He is a wonderkid who is very good indeed and it seems that Madrid wants to project him more for his long-term projects which always bring in some quality young players.
On the other hand it seems that PSG, Chelsea and Manchester United are currently having to bite their fingers because as far as I know they also want this young player but now his transfer to Madrid has been completed.

Cristiano Ronaldo not being able to play a role for his team, I don't think that's it. It's not surprising that his not been delivering on the job as expected and by that, I mean the goal scoring but, his still very much a leader and the hope of the Portuguese team as he has always been.
I was thinking maybe that Christiano Ronaldo was reserving all the energy to showcase himself in this world compition and this was why he couldn't perform since the beginning of the premier league season, but I'm yet to see that in action. So I do believe that after some of their games, the team realized the need to start building a new team without Ronaldo , So this is what you can see from the entire Portugal team performance.
We also have to realize that now is the last time for Ronaldo and the thought of Regeneration, especially giving more flying hours for young players is actually very good.
We're just making it look like only Ronaldo is there although I have to be aware that the center of Portugal is still Ronaldo but at the moment it's not just Ronaldo who is struggling.
His form has dropped and that is a fact because at his age it is a bit difficult to carry a big burden but just having him on the pitch is enough to motivate some of their younger players.

Well, Croats certainly have experience in this from the last championship. Croatia was the ultimate surprise of the World Cup 2018. They played a total of 90 minutes in extra time during the tournament. Tthey played two penalty shootouts, and they won both the games. I think it could be the same here.

Of course Croatia have more experience in these matches, but looking at this game it seems to me that neither Japan nor Croatia can win in the 1/4. Although Japan looks even more interesting. The number of shots is almost the same, but Japan had more corners, which means they attacked more with less ball possession. But if it comes down to a penalty shootout, I think Croatia will win.
It seems that this is not so applicable now. Their game in 90 minutes of normal time and extra time is really balanced in my opinion and it can even be said that Japan is actually better.
Now that there are only a few minutes left of extra time to end, it looks like it will be a battle of luck in penalties to decide who wins.

According to Marca, Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen his next club in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr for 200m € per year.

I'm guessing he will play until he is 50 now  Roll Eyes

In all honesty, I am not convinced that Cristiano Ronaldo has already signed a contract with the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. I have also heard that this deal has been signed by Cristiano Ronaldo from a variety of other sources and people, but I am still skeptic that it is true. In order to check if Fabrizio Romano had tweeted anything, I wanted to check his Twitter account. However, I was unable to find any tweets from him regarding the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer on Twitter. But if Ronaldo has actually signed this contract, I think it was not a bad decision to make.

The news about this player is always busy and I am confused now because there is Chelsea who is back in after some time ago the Arab club really surprised with a big offer.
At the moment, Chlesea is also offering no less interest than Alnassr FC because the money offered is fantastic.
I can hardly see which one will come true now for Ronaldo.

Newcastle are a small team but they are performing well. As their team is getting stronger day by day, I think adding some young fast players to their team will give them great progress. On the other hand, if Harry Kane is transferred to another club, Tottenham will have some adverse effect on their team.
Small team Newcastle? for a few seasons ago maybe this was true but now it's different, they are a big team now and at the moment they can be said to be the richest club at the moment with a very large amount of money from their new leader. I think for now we have to start replacing Newcastle as a small team because with their money sooner or later they will evolve.
Oh, yes, I understand even if Newcastle would be called a strong average team, but it's impossible to call them a small team after the middle of last season. And their weight will only increase and probably they can be called a big team already at the end of this season with a good combination of circumstances, because Newcastle is already a big club in terms of money, but not always big money gives a big result. After all, the English Premier League is the richest European championship in Europe in finance, so you can't automatically pull off the same scenario as happened in France with Paris Saint Germain, whose budget is an order of magnitude higher than all its domestic competitors.
Maybe in this case Manchester City can be a good example for the EPL or indeed PSG in Ligue 1.
For now it may still not be possible but in a few years I think if the owner doesn't change and if the reforms in a better direction continue to be made with the money they currently have it's not impossible they will be able to break the dominance of the current big team.
We know the cruelty of the EPL in terms of competition, but we also know the real example of Manchester City before being bought by Seikh Mansour and after being bought by Seikh Mansour. did not rule out this will also happen to Newcastle.

the victory of France 3 vs 1 Poland and England 3 vs 0 Senegal made both qualify for the quarter finals, France will meet England and this will be a great match to determine who is the best , I will fully support France to qualify for the semi finals beating England
Two winners today (France, England) are the favorite teams, it is what we all expect to continue to the next round.
Both France and England have quality players in every line, there should be a tight match in the next round. But I agree with you that France is the favorite team to win and continue to the semi-final round. France was the champion in the previous world cup (2018) and there is not much change in the squad, so they deserve to continue to the next round with a stronger squad. France has a better defense than England, in my opinion.

This is still not certain because if you look at the condition of these two teams (France and England) from the group phase until now they actually haven't really found an equal opponent in my opinion and now is proof whether facing each other with the status of a big team will making them only fixate on the matches that have already happened or are actually playing better. Currently, both teams are dominated by players who are well known to many people, so this will be a match worth watching later.

Howe's strategy in managing teamwork and bringing players to St. James' Park in transfers last winter was very good and this saw them experience a sizeable improvement in terms of performance.
On the other hand to say money is not wrong if money can change anything in this case because Newcastle is a new example now after Manchester City and PSG in Ligue 1.
But it will be very surprising for them to be in the top 4 straight away this season for me because I still thought from the start they would only finish in the top position but not in the top 4.

They are currently no longer a small club with how they have been playing this season
Theyb will fight hard for the top four but will not qualify
Arsenal City Tottenham and United will Maintain the first four position
I know about this but I still have the feeling that some of the big clubs who fell asleep at the start of the season will start differently after the break which makes me not so sure Newcastle are in the top 4 even though their chance is still there until now.
On the other hand, even though they currently have quite good players, I personally feel that for the individual quality of the players, they are still losing, although I realize this is not an individual but a collaborative problem, but this can also be a bit of an obstacle, I think.

It was a really difficult game for the United States today against the Netherlands who happen to have been very ruthless attacking wise and also have a good defense. USA managed to pull one back in a three one score tonight. USA have had quite an interesting outing this year one I am proud of, they faced a much stronger side today but were not scared to show what their quality even against a tough opponent.
USA has got more ball possession in the match but final execution will always be failed and USA can't maximize so many golden chance that already happened unlike netherlands which has lower shots on target compared with USA but the accuracy was even better caused by from 6 shots on target and netherlands was able making three goal against USA.  USA has been working so hard to make goal against netherlands but the defensive strategy by netherlansd  were so strong. It cna't be beaten easily by USA.
They realized that if they didn't do that it would probably be more difficult so they made better initiatives by continuing to play the ball and the results also proved that they could score goals to reduce the gap even though in the end a goal from Dumfries made their hopes dashed. But in this case we know there has been a rapid upswing for USA soccer as the years have progressed.

First of all, I want to appreciate Newcastle United for improving so much. I honestly do not know if it was expected of them by anyone. Well, after the money started coming in I think people did expect this type of improvement. But at least I did not think that they would be in the top four positions on the table after 15 matches. That is certainly an achievement in recent times for them.

And to answer the question, I think that they do rely on motivation and strategy. But at this point, I am willing to say that they have a few good enough players to back up the strategy that they are making which was probably not the case in the recent past for them.
Howe's strategy in managing teamwork and bringing players to St. James' Park in transfers last winter was very good and this saw them experience a sizeable improvement in terms of performance.

Newcastle's wild plans seem to be coming true for the most part. And last year they were in the relegation place for a while. I think they were able to attract reinforcements back then and partly because of that they have climbed up the rankings. They have a strong team, but the quality and level cannot be compared to that of Arsenal. I think they just brought in good/decent players and that's enough for now. But they will certainly want to attract many more players and compete for the championship in a few years. The club is the richest club in England, and perhaps worldwide.
Their financial quality is different from before making them strong but actually not too strange with it because with their current financial conditions, obviously they can do anything that makes them able to be used as dark horses and it is not impossible they are one of the clubs that will continue to be In the top position in the next seasons during their financial condition and their leaders have not changed.

This particular World Cup edition screwed so many punters including me thanks to the crazy number of upsets.
It seems that things like this happen not only with you but indeed almost everyone has felt disappointment due to betting that failed in this world cup.
There are so many surprises created in the World Cup this time and indeed this is very difficult to predict. On the other hand I am also still focused on a big team that made me forget some possibilities that finally brought bad luck in several matches.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 02, 2022, 05:14:11 PM
Real Madrid must realistically consider a suitable player to replace Karim Benzema. In fact, Real Madrid already has Rodrygo in their squad who can be used as an alternative when Benzema is absent, he has several times substituted for Benzema who plays in the center forward position. But Rodrygo is not a center forward like Benzema. He is more suitable to play as an attacking midfielder or hole striker, not a target man.
Real Madrid could look to some players who have shone in the World Cup like Cody Gakpo and several other centre-forwards, they need to get a quality player who has an eye for goals like Benzema to give him competition in the Champions League and La Liga.
If I may be honest, actually Benzema substitutes in Madrid like Rodrygo or Asensio are actually still not too able to be an option because even these two players are better on the wings than having to become a middle striker.
But on the other hand Ancelotti is comfortable with Valverde who is there so it is difficult for Asensio and Rodrygo to be won and must be in the center which actually makes its performance slightly decreased because their instinct goal is still very lacking.

Probably the most unpredictable day of all unpredictable days... Costa Rica beats Germany and Japan beat Spain... If you could speculate about Spain and Japan who would win, then Germany was not expected to play such an embarrassing game... Once again they can't make it to the 1/8, losing to the clear underdogs... What a sensation...
They seem to have managed to level the score, but they are still last in the group...
Somehow Germany have made a comeback leveling the 2-2. We don't know what's gonna happen at the last minutes. Spain could've never thought Japan in such a way. Big teams of the tournament are struggling hard, and taking position as game changers. As stated the underdogs are making the win throughout the day starting from the Belgium vs Croatia, Canada vs Morocco, now these two matches.
Japan really brought almost all of its players in defense when they were already ahead with a fairly quick comeback because it was only 3 minutes away.
It was really a very good match but Germany had to be a victim in this case, they really played very well actually and indeed they wanted to score a lot of goals in the game against Costa Rica but it was in vain for them because it was the goal difference very different quite a lot but it will be a different story if Spain manages to draw in this match but it is very unfortunate indeed that they also failed as a superior team.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 01, 2022, 08:32:08 PM
When Spain underestimated Japan game, which actually played like a spartan, the results would reverse. Here Spain too thinks Japan is not a balanced opponent but unfortunately they are wrong about that. The reverse position that the young Spanish players should consider has not been able to feel like they have won before the final minutes. Japan has a fighter mentality while Spain plays for beauty. I know this is a boomerang for Spain, if we see several times the goalkeeper tries to play the ball in the penalty box to lure the Japanese players.

Spain must be careful with Japan's comeback because for now it can't be safe if Japan continues to press its defense. Grin
Now it looks like Spain is starting to panic if Germany loses this match because right now Costa Rica is in the lead and of course if Spain loses they will become clowns with Germany because Costa Rica and Japan will advance to the knock out phase Cheesy
This is really a match that is worth watching because it is full of surprises.

Belgium is in the 2nd FIFA World Ranking but unfortunately they did not qualify for this group F stage and even have to go home early to enjoy the Christmas and New Year holidays at the end of this year, in the previous world cup Belgium was quite good but not as lucky as in this year's world cup, maybe it will be a lesson for Belgium in the future to be even better
They are in a bad situation especially with Internal problems which are blaming each other after losing to Morocco in the previous game. On the other hand this is very bad even though they are in the condition of players who are indeed very good in every line but this also backfires when they play with a high level of selfishness so they cannot play well together.
They had to go home early for the world cup this time and it's a real shame in my opinion.
