Icos are not as popular as they once was but back then I do take necessary steps to select the best ones to participate in. You mentioned bountyhive.io icos listed there but they have a ridiculous record of poor performing icos on their bounty platform so I tend to avoid them. I prefer icos listed on Bitcointalk with a very active team and a host of partners
