UEFA has come up with an unusual grouping system that could lead to a "group of death" scenario at Euro 2024. Following last night's matches, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) identified the 21 teams that have secured spots in Euro 2024, including the host team Germany and the top two teams from each of the 10 groups (making a total of 20 teams). The remaining three spots will be determined through the UEFA Nations League.
What's noteworthy is that UEFA didn't seed the teams based on FIFA rankings or their performance in previous Euro finals. Instead, they introduced a peculiar seeding rule, considering teams' performances in the Euro 2024 qualifiers to determine the seedings.
This led to the reigning Euro 2020 champions Italy being pushed down to the fourth seed group because of a lackluster performance in the qualifiers. If things continued the way they were in the first part of the race then Leclerc could have really won the race by a decent gap as well. However those safety cars weren't very good signs for him and the latest one put him in a more difficult spot. Verstappen and Perez gained a lot of pace after that one. Maybe Ferrari could also have got him into pit though as his tyres were 5 laps older than them. When it comes to Ferrari pit crew they were a disappointment during Leclerc's pit as it took them one second longer to mount one of the tyres. Even milliseconds is very valuable in this sport. But I really admired the way Leclerc continued fighting despite being overtaken by Perez. He really deserved the 2nd position after all that effort. |

To tell the truth I can't get very hyped about this new technology already now. Because even a great technology like VAR has been abused in so many matches so far. I mean in those matches VAR made such horrible decisions that they weren't very different than mistakes a simple referee can make. I really would like to see this new technology to get ahead of this issue and drop the number of such incidents at least in Euro 2024. I hope they don't still continue to make mistakes despite having a more detailed view of an incident with this technology. As each new technology makes sports management more perfect and easier, I think there is a lot of criticism of that technology. Video Assistant Refereeing has been a great technology for football as it can accurately tell if a goal is well scored or if the referee is off site correctly but we have also seen many criticisms of this technology. Yes some controversial decisions have come from this technology but most of the decisions made football easier to manage. If the technologists bring any new technology instead of this technology then that technology will definitely be updated but there is no guarantee that that technology will give hundred percent correct decision. As technology advances so does the debate. It is rather because of human mistakes. Because we have seen so many examples of that until this point. VAR is really a great technology that shows incidents very clearly to the referee to make his final decision. However despite this clear view referees are still making horrible decisions. I have even witnessed a VAR referee misguiding the referee of the match through earpiece. Referees need to adapt to this kind of technologies immediately. I don't say that every referee is like that of course. But there are quite many examples on the other hand. |

Aynı şekilde Bayern Münih'e karşı olan diğer maçta da Muslera'nın durumu şüpheliydi ama o da yetiştirildi. Hatta okuduğum bir haberde Muslera 6 maç kaçıracak falan yazıyordu o derece.  There are only 3 days left for the Worlds finale! It is making me excited already about it. This time we have a really unexpected matchup. T1 were of course an expected team to see for me and most people here. But Weibo's presence is surprising. I thought that their journey would end in the semi-finals. But they fought really hard against BLG. Especially TheShy's amazing performance played a key role there. He stomped and carried a game with a Graves top also. It must be like 2 years ago the last time this champ was played in Worlds. However I don't think they will do the same against T1. He has already doubled his market value from 25 million euros to 50 million in only 6 months. I hope to see much more than him after a couple of years. But I wouldn't criticize him strongly if his performance drops sharply these days. It would be too much to ask from a 16-year-old player. |
