The game between Paris Saint Germaine and Monaco will be a very interesting match to watch because of how impressive the two teams have been this season in the French Ligue 1.
Monaco who are currently in the third position trailing league leaders with just three points knows that a win in that game will take them to the same number of points with Paris Saint Germaine.
That being said, I expect the league leaders to win that game because if how strong they are and the fact that they'll be playing at home in front of their home fans.

PSG is favored with odds @ 1.51 and AS Monaco gets odds @ 5.60, if PSG's attackers can appear consistent they should be able to score more than two goals and Mbappe, who successfully scored a hat trick in the previous match, will be expected to contribute again in this match.

logically very correct speculation PSG will be very strong in competing at home even though Monaco is stable condition but in terms depth player performance PSG is superior to Monaco but only problem is during this international break whether there will be problems with some the player who are favored because several players in other leagues suffered injuries while competing for their country and if there are no problems with the PSG players it seems like victory is in sight for PSG and if the match against Monaco fails to get those 3 points it looks like the competition to maintain the top the standings will still continue before PSG really consistently it will be difficult to be at the top the standings until end of the season.

Lille has the opportunity to secure full points in this match. They are superior with their strength in this match because their quality this season is more impressive than their opponents. Lyon, being the bottom team in the standings, will find it difficult to win when facing Lille. The only best chance in this match is of course betting on Lille winning. What Lyon needs now is to completely overhaul the current players to replace them with more quality players and of course this all depends on how the coach will bring in more quality players and to improve the quality of their performance to remain consistent and get every win in several matches and with With this consistency, I believe it will be easier for Lyon to quickly avoid relegation.
If all the plans I have said fail, it is very likely thats Lyon will remain in the relegation zone because if they don't immediately catch up, the difference in points will be even greater.

I don't think Lyon can beat Lille in such condition. I mean they had huge difficulties in doing that even while they were having a better season previously. Lille were the better playing side in that game but Lyon still won by 1-0 home. But now the situation is really worrisome for Lyon. That win over Rennes wasn't even easy one.

Because despite Rennes' getting a very early red card Lyon still had big difficulties. They even let the game become more balanced in the second half. I can't trust this Lyon for betting as a result. But I wouldn't bet on Lille either as a similar scenario might happen and it would find me.

Winning in the previous match against Rennes was also not an impressive victory with a score of 1-0, especially Rennes also unstable this season. So I agree with you, betting on Lyon in the match against Lille is not a good option, there is a possibility that the final result will be a draw or Lille win. As for Lyon victory, I personally also doubt it too.

Lille's current form gives them the edge over Lyon. Their five-game streak displays consistency, which Lyon lacks. I think they'll seize the chance to close the gap on Monaco. Lille is likely to win due to their depth and success this season. Lyon's situation is dire. They are a shell of their former selves in relegation. It's bizarre to witness a French football powerhouse struggle. Their recent success is a small indication of life. They must overhaul, possibly starting with the coach. Fabio Grosso hasn't changed things, and player signings won't fix their fundamental concerns. Their season is challenging, thus I doubt they'll beat Lille.

But what is happening now is that they have been thrown to 13th position in the standings and are getting closer to the relegation zone. Rennes, usually always consistent, has now experienced a significant decline in performance and in the last 5 matches they have not won at all and that means they have lost 14 points since then because they had 1 draw in some of those matches.

@harapan I remember that season as it was a big upset for me personally because I never thought that Monaco would win the league title and then when Falcao came I was very excited but it felt that he was jinxed horribly because he couldn’t score only for Manchester United. Furthermore Monaco’s form went down because they sold their title winning stars and that’s why it wasn’t surprising to see them underperform as the year’s have gone by.

But all too often people put it as if clubs like Monaco had a choice and decided to sell their players instead of keeping them, but this is not how it works when we are talking about "title winning stars". What do you think how long it would take Real Madrid or PSG to make an offer to any player that scores 20+ goals in Ligue 1 and decisively contributed to winning a title? Their hands are literally tied because the players often have contracts that are about to expire in the near future and they don't have the financial means to top up the salary to a level that could compete with Real Madrid or PSG. This is how economic cycle in football works. Smaller clubs get lucky and this title winning star, raise him and then they have to sell him to the rich boys in the house. There isn't much that these clubs that are between 2nd and 1st tier can do.

This is the system how it works right? The big clubs are always going to go for the players who are performing well. And the offers are also going to be so good that very few clubs are actually going to be able to reject them to keep the players that they have. Sometimes the players also want to leave willingly. Just because they want to play in a club that has legacy, which is actually very much understandable by the way. So when the bigger clubs are actually throwing money to get a certain player, I think it is rest assured that they are definitely going to get that player.

Hey duke, nice post! I always like when someone looks at things with a realistic view. It is understandable as you said, when players want to leave because they have this once in a lifetime opportunity (at least it feels like that for them in that point in time). But sometimes I think players should also not forget who fostered their careers. That is why I am a strong opponent of skipping training sessions, pretending to be injured and blackmailing the clubs that helped them grow into agreeing to a transfer.

Apart from that though I think in most cases it is the offer that the clubs can't decline. When they have a player that grows from 10m market value to 100m market value in two years, what can they do when the offer appears on their screen? Either the club itself has a legacy or unlimited cash or the player will undeniably leave either as a free agent or for a lot of money. That's the two choices - both painful - the smaller clubs have.

Nice team surprised everyone with their performance. The performance of the team was quite stable. And for a long time they were at the top of the points table. Nice's defense is the strongest defense in Ligue 1 this season. However, they lack talented players in their attack. Consistently performing well and staying at the top of the table is much more difficult without a strong attack. My guess is that the Nice team will gradually fall back in the points table. And perhaps in third or fourth place we will see the Nice team in the future.

I am eagerly waiting for PSG vs Monaco match. If PSG can win this match, their points gap with Monaco will be 6. And a win for Monaco would put them level on points with PSG and make the title race even more competitive. I will be happy if Monaco can win. So this season in Ligue 1 we will not only see the dominance of PSG.

I think the gap is not really a problem, but questions will arise how bad the Olympique Lyon team really is. What if four teams have 1 point, 2 points, 3 points and 4 points at the bottom. You could still say that the gap between last and 15th is only 3 points, but the problems are much bigger than the gap would describe here. Only 7 points out of those 11 games was inconceivable before the season started.

Lyon can be expected to move out of the relegation zone as the league progresses. They have been a good team all along even though this season has been so down. That is their problem this season lies in their attacking line which seems to be very confused when getting a chance to score, so they are very unproductive. 13 goals in 12 games is not a good record for a club in my opinion. Unlike the attack, they have conceded 4 goals so far, proving that their defense is working very well.
But again I have to say that the balance between attack and defense must be created very well for them to win a match they play.

Lyon's chances of getting out of the red zone are very high, but whether they will do well or not. Their frst win has to be motivational, the league goes on and when they lose their mentality, it's bad for their game. All they have to do now is focus on each match and try to take it point by point.

If you look at Lyon current situation, the transition process and changes to the club structure and management that new owner John Textor is trying to carry out seem to be going nowhere. As a result, Lyon performance has dropped drastically and is now slumped at the bottom of the standings and has only collected 7 points in 11 matches, maybe it would be worse if they had not recovered until the season was halfway through. Fabio Grosso hasn't been able to do much and so far his leadership has only won one win, the best thing that must be done immediately is to help Lyon get out of the degradation zone.

In the 2000s, Lyon was one of the clubs that dominated Ligue 1 under Aulas as club owner, but this season could be their worst season in the last two decades. None of us were prepared to see such a situation with a renowned team like Lyon. The last team in the points table is Lyon. At the beginning of the season, they lost consecutive matches. However, in the last four matches we have seen some improvement in Lyon's performance. They drew in two matches and managed to win the last match.

You might be wrong. Rennes defender Guela Doue received a red card. And that's why Rennes' performance was a bit slow. Rennes players can't attack much in this match. Lyon was somewhat lucky.
