544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 08, 2013, 03:43:42 AM
just wanted to say that my kncminer Saturn now a grown up Jupiter has found its second block....funny, in my time mining have dug up about close to 50btc, which is what 2 blocks currently pay if you solo mine although solo mining most likely would have not led to those 2 blocks being found....

anyway...back to the arguments at hand......

Ok I can finally post! I've been lurking for a long time, gpu mining a year ago small scale. I just got one of the november jupiters I ordered and it fired right up working great. Avg hash rate in the interface is 660, but I'm getting an average of 10% hw errors. Seems way too high. I've been playing around with making the unit warmer (ambient temp is around 40) but all that did was cause a few of the vrms to have a "fault 4". Max temp on two of the asics was 70c. After resetting the machine and removing the covers that were keeping airflow down, it is still averaging 650-660 with 10% errors. There are only a few cores that get turned off and on occasionally. Never more than 15 cores off total across all the boards. Avg hashrate at my pool is showing near 600, which would be right for 660 - 10%.

Any ideas what I can do to improve it? Do I just need to wait for the knc tuning fw to be released for the Nov units?
Thanks!

BTW. After reading this board for a long time, and wading through all the bickering nonsense that trolls keep saying in this thread, KNC is obviously the only company doing the job right. I waited a long time to get involved in ASICs, but came close to ordering from BFL a few times. I'm glad I didn't. Maybe I would have received a unit by now, but it would be 50gh for about what I spent on each 660 gh jupiter. Cointerra is still a bust, hashfast is still a bust. Why don't the trolls and kids just get out of this thread and get a life Smiley  I thought I'd be getting 450-500 gh miners when I ordered them less than a month ago, instead I get 660 and it is a complete unit that fired up in less than five minutes after UPS came.  I'm thinking about selling one of these to purchase a Neptune (or two) because I have a strong feeling that KNC will deliver those on time in a few months, with a lot more power than advertised.

My orders started  in the 9900s, and started arriving today, tracking numbers received monday.

Neptune units for order are down to there are only 980/1500

Get an 8% boost if you buy through wesly's reseller link......

All November units arrived in a reasonable time and function as (or above) advertised.  Just like batch one.

Five stars KnC, really good stuff.

Huh they still assembling and hopefully deliver until end of this week the Nov batch! toxic coffee in the morning?

nooooooo... I don't know if all the Nov units are out, but I think most of them must be.  My nov units were order #92xx, got them Friday (USA).

92xx is nothing, I think the order #s go up to 105xx at least

With Wednesday over in Sweden, all remaining U.S. orders can now expect delivery no earlier than Dec. 9th.

A large number of "November" units will get about a day at current diff.   Sad

On the bright side, as a result of the delayed shipping the increase will not be quite as large now.   Wink

So we got that going for us, which is nice.
I have stated this before....but i wonder if knc doesn't delay shipping or hold back some depending on the state of difficulty....i think they do try to look out for the network in general but maybe not.

550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will Bitcoin Reach $10,000 One Day? on: December 02, 2013, 08:23:25 AM
At the current coin supply wouldn't the market cap need to hit $120,000,000,000 to hit 10,000 a coin? That's a big number..  Shocked
funny,  but APPLE alone, has $150,000,000,000 in CASH in offshore accounts....so no, not really
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 02, 2013, 07:27:21 AM
So, can someone explain to me how the tuning suite works? I am literally just guessing at what I am doing....although my Sat. now Jupiter has been hashing at a decent rate, apparently after having tweaked it slightly where I think it needed tweaking....it now seems to have a steadier and slightly higher hashing rate. But some guidance or explanation of what things do and the danger zones would be nice...my 2 satoshis....

SPI Voltate is for the communication chanel I believe.

Underneath that for each asic and for each die you can change the voltage:
0V = no change from the original value.
+value = you increase the voltage from original value
-value = you decrease the voltage from original value

My personal experience is: increasing the PSI voltage to is max settings at 3.3V and then for each die with problems increase its voltage substantially and if it helps then decrease it in small increment to find its lowest possible stable value.

Cypher, thanks. I did realize that lowering the number actually raises the volts....anyway, would like to get more input from other members, especially KNC....

crazyguy, any info yet for shipping labels? thanks.

2 can fit in a blade box:
11lbs 15.6oz
15x9.5x7.5

4 cubes
25lbs 2.8oz
16x16x7.5

PM me for return address. It will be easiest, and I would actually prefer if buyers pay shipping and let me handle it for this shipment.

Update on shipping: packages left ohio hub and will be in my area tomorrow. Mon/Tue delivery is very probable.
crazyguy, thinking of adding 1 more to my order for a total of 4, how much for shipping?

I've gotten a few emails regarding this group while forums are having an issue.
the group is still on and orders can be placed.

Hahaha, shill all the way... pegged me there...
I did indeed have a slight advantage, due to the kindness of KNC, admittedly...
I don't however, have any inside knowledge, I'm just as you, a customer.
Feel free to call me whatever name you want...  if it makes you feel better.

no-one said anything about insider knowledge, you shill!

keep the act up...

who is this fucking guy? who let you in here? man, we need more security.

says the whining crybaby who posts endlessly about how life & the world isnt fair??

and then sticks his worthless oar into other peoples affairs.

we also need a 'mentally older than 18' function..

jeez who stuck a stick up you a*ss? If he gets Neptunes and it works out so be it. Big deal.

so you are stupid after all, it was patently clear but well done on the clarification.

no one gives a shit who ordered what - thats their business.

what is un fucking acceptable is apologising and excusing KNCs fuckups and lies constantly over and over again.

and/for getting free SECRET boards when most (if not all originally) received under-performing, faulty, disabled and LATE equipment. (Shh..Secret!)

or did you actually know that and were just 'acting' the fool?
1. Not all my boards worked when arrived.
2. Every machine I got was "Bricked on arrival, because the workername field, and stratum address was incorrect.
3. All my machines were shipped to the wrong address, they were supposed to go to Washington, where I rented a secure facility to start this, with a partner.... They came here instead, and I was literally at the airport, ready to leave and checked the account page while I was waiting, only to find they were shipped home after changing the address weeks before on the account page.(turned out a blessing)
4. It took me over 18 hours to learn linux and putty, and hack into the cgminer to change it, only to find the config was not in the default location.
5. I was "Promised" September shipment, and got my first one October 10th.
6. After ordering June 2nd when KNC's site was practically blank.., people who ordered months later recieved their machines the same week as I did.

Yet nothing that happened was intentional.
I accept things at face value, and work the challenge, until I get a result.
Whining & complaining usually gets nothing accomplished.
With all that said....
I still stand by KNC 100%
They are the best in their field imho
Problem is...they are human.

i remember phoenix, you did have a hell of a time to start....although some of it was cause you were doing some off tangent wireless cellphone who knows  what networking that finally worked...(i was more simple, cat5 to the wall)....

anyway...don't get mad at phoenix....some of us just happened to have better luck than others...
knc isn't perfect...but would you rather be waiting for your BFL???
AND yes, you have to be on your toes in the bitcoin mining world, blink and you missed it!!
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 01, 2013, 09:57:37 AM
and I missed out on an upgrade unit for my Saturn, which in retrospect seems to be a lucky turn of events.

eh what? they will easily get back more than the ~3btc they cost at the time
dpos, when I was a kid, my mom would yell  at us to shut up and say, "I'd rather hear 1 lunatic than 2"......not always sure what she meant til now maybe....lol....
