541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Divorce: A Match Made in Heaven? on: April 11, 2016, 03:40:41 PM
This is a very smart way to conceal what money you are making from your partner. Of course people who receive salaries from government jobs can't apply to this but people who are self-employed or own a private business can very easily hide most of their cash online if they give their accountants false data.
542  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buying stuff with paypal nowadays on: April 11, 2016, 03:29:06 PM
I am using PayPal a lot more for online purchases but if I can find a nice discount on goods sold for Bitcoins I would pretty much jump on the deal in a heartbeat. Sadly most of the big retailers don't offer anything for Bitcoin during Black Friday and Xmas season in my country.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: April 11, 2016, 03:20:52 PM
Bitcoin has more advantages than Western Union that's true but sometimes Bitcoin can't reach all the people because there may not be an exchange or people on Localbitcoins willing to trade then Western Union is the only option to receive money in an emergency. The fees are higher but you are assured to get cash in hand.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is in the midst of a civil war" on: April 11, 2016, 03:11:16 PM
There is no civil war if only one side is fighting between themselves and the other one is just watching. We as a community don't have the final say on the matter sadly. The consensus must be reached by the people in charge of development.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Just Too Stupid to Use Bitcoin Right Now on: April 11, 2016, 03:03:26 PM
Well some people just don't have the need to use Bitcoin as a payment method because they are happy with their banking service. I mean most of the Bitcoin users are mainly into Bitcoin because of its long-term value as an investment vehicle whatsoever.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: April 11, 2016, 02:57:09 PM
It's a common mistake that Bitcoin is being associated with illegal deals on the Internet. It can be used for good causes like sponsoring a sports team or helping charities. For example do you remember how people sponsored that racer with Dogecoins for his car?
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a new gambling website stand out? on: April 07, 2016, 06:09:10 PM
My priorities when choosing a new sportsbook to bet at are first and foremost instant or very fast withdrawals. I hate manual auditing of my account when asking for my money out because I have had the pleasure to wait for days and I am fed up with waiting. The odds come in second place the higher the better. I am yet to find a Bitcoin sportsbooks with odds close to the fiat counterparts. And then comes the customer service. I like to gamble on sites that have active support for most of the day and are polite towards their customers. These 3 points make a site stand out for me.
548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: April 07, 2016, 05:47:27 PM
The price rise is not over until the speculators say so. At the moment there are better opportunities for investment elsewhere in alt coins but that doesn't mean Bitcoin is doomed to fail. Once the current problems with the block size debate are ironed out I think the market will liven up again and the pump this time could go higher than the previous $1200 peak.
549  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: April 07, 2016, 05:34:43 PM
I believe the future money will be entirely digital and paper money will be obsolete and held in museums. Bitcoin is the first important step for this financial revolution. I envision our future generations to be using interstellar credits of sorts to conduct business with aliens and trade wares throughout the Galaxy. I am a sci-fi fan so this may sound too exaggerated to some but we are heading into a world with autonomous robots and casual space travelling shuttles and I am looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for us.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin go the Second Life Way? on: April 07, 2016, 04:48:33 PM
The similarities between Bitcoin and Second Life Linden dollars end in them being a digital currency. Bitcoin hasn't even hit the mainstream yet to get obsolete and they are talking about Second Life losing its charm getting outdated losing popularity comparing it to Facebook lol etc. Second Life does a fine job for its targeted audience of gamers and Bitcoin brings value to online trading for merchants and users so why the need to compare 2 things from entire different industries?
551  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: April 07, 2016, 04:25:54 PM
What is your kid going to do with the earned Bitcoin? It's not like he can go to an exchange site and withdraw his coins into his bank account for cash. Does your kid even have a debit card being 10 years old? I doubt he can fully grasp all the Bitcoin essentials at this young age. I think you could make a paper wallet for him and deposit coins to it for chores done lessons learned etc. and when is he older you could give it to him. It would be something like a Bitcoin savings account for your kid.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you switch to a new technology, if it offers better features than Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2016, 09:40:07 PM
Bitcoin is currently the top-notch crypto coin and I don't think there will be another candidate to dethrone it for the foreseeable future. The good thing about open-source projects is that they can quickly adapt to changes and evolve into a better product with time passing. However I do not believe in fanboyism in any form so if Bitcoin development is stalling and new better things come up on the horizon I won't be sacrificing possible profit by staying with the old technology out of nostalgia.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST FREE SPORTS BETS #1 TIPSTER✔(W2020/L340)PROFESSIONAL TIPSTER! BET NOW! :) on: April 06, 2016, 09:25:46 PM
What do you mean the Champions League was terrible? Are you upset that the heavy favourites didn't win? On the contrary I really enjoyed the drama in the PSG - City match it was very interesting to watch and for me the results tonight in both matches are fair according to the displayed performance by the teams. I don't agree with you that the sportsbooks made a killing today because not everyone is betting on favourites mind you.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slogan update >> Bitcoin, Be Your Own OFFSHORE Bank on: April 06, 2016, 08:52:53 PM
To make their Bitcoin wallet their offshore bank people need to move their funds out of their real bank accounts into an exchange and from there to their wallet. This could be easily monitored by anyone. The only way I can think of that is remotely indiscernible is to use Localbitcoins to exchange coins for your cash in hand without a 3rd party. Now if you want to exchange 1 million dollars in a suitcase you will need to find some Bitcoin whales that will set up a private trade for you. It's not so easy to move huge amounts of cash digitally because there are financial records when the funds enter the exchanges.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disney is hiring. on: April 06, 2016, 08:41:04 PM
Haha I have this crazy idea that Disney management is going to implement the private Blockchain to function as ticket points of sale at their Disney world resorts so visitors would be able to buy tickets with Bitcoin and automatically enter the parks without the need for staff monitoring the ticket system. Actually if you think about it it doesn't sound so crazy does it?
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: April 06, 2016, 08:32:08 PM
The members of my family aren't very computer literate and I am the only one interested in Bitcoin. I do have friends though who are Bitcoin miners and traders and who are even more enthusiastic about Bitcoin than me. People who don't understand what Bitcoin is think of it as fake Internet money. It's kinda hard to change the opinion of the non-believers whatsoever.
557  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Affiliate Porgrams on: April 06, 2016, 06:19:09 AM
Isn't 1% revenue share really low? I have seen other sportsbooks offering up to 40% and I think the lowest level starts at 20% commission. I am not completely sure about this but if everyone from your referrals loses more money in the long run at the sportsbook than he wins, wouldn't it be better for the affiliate to take the higher commission based on lost bets than to opt in for 1% commission on all bets?
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 06, 2016, 05:58:57 AM
Bayern Munich had a good game but I thought they would score at least 2 goals on home ground. I don't expect Benfica to have any chances in the 2nd leg probably the game will end in a draw at most. It's a pity for Atletico Madrid that they were a man down for the entire 2nd half. They were doing so well against Barcelona but I think that red card messed them up for the rest of the game. Nevertheless Atletico still have real chances to throw Barcelona out of the competition next week.
559  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2016, 05:15:12 AM
Are there any merchants for shoes, handbags, or oversized turquoise jewelry that accept bitcoin? Preferably offering a heavy discount if paying with coin.

My best bet would be Overstock.com. However in general women are not very tech-savvy and are not interested in learning about computer stuff and electronics so I think it would be harder for them or take more time than usual to get them into Bitcoin. I am not saying it's impossible to see a woman invested into crypto currencies it's just that they have other priorities in life.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your definition of being Bitcoin Rich or wealthy? on: April 06, 2016, 05:10:34 AM
Being rich for me is when I have no financial restrictions as to what I want to achieve in my life. Of course things like health and family are also an important part of feeling rich because without them your life will be miserable even if you have the most money in the world. I would say being rich is a balance between personal finances, health and family. Bitcoin was invented to give you freedom so in away we are benefiting from it towards our goals in life and should be happy for having the opportunity to use it   Cheesy
