541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: June 14, 2014, 08:09:04 PM
I find the current exchange rate really sad as DVC has so much potential.

Devcoin has way more projects and initiatives on than 90% of the alts.

I really think in another 6-12 months Devcoin will be in a very different place, hopefully!
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread {Updates & Discussion} on: June 14, 2014, 08:07:33 PM
25th of June oh God I can't wait!!  Grin

By the way I'd like to do some PR for NEM when it launches with my Bitcoin and crypto press release service: http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/services

I'm very busy, but who do I talk to about doing this in an official capacity?
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Investment - NVC/HBN/PHS/TEK/and more on: June 14, 2014, 08:04:46 PM
TEK is worth a shot.

Stakehunter, how's your portfolio going?

My portfolio is going swimmingly...I love the discussion that has been going on. Sorry, i've been laying low - I got involve in Cryptostocks investing - too much  actually! I got burnt on a few stocks, and now my BTC is locked into other stocks. While they pay good dividends the liquidity isn't there, so I'm slowly drawing drawing down and only keeping the best.

So my attention is shifting back to coins, and to my surprise in the ~2 months there have been a lot of PoS interest - and coins.
Here's my current list:
Tekcoin - TEK
Hobonickels - HBN
Fluttercoin - FLT
Philosopherstone - PHS
Growthcoin - GRW
Bottlecaps - CAP
Diamond - DMD

TEK has done VERY well for me. I recommend it - it is amazing coin just to hold and watch the stake come in. Plus its value has jumped because there are only ~1 mil coins.
HBN is a cornerstone. Value is down, but it is stable and compounding nicely. I sold off too much months ago to get into cryptostocks and I'm still regretting it.
FLT, newcomer and stakes at a month, but I'm just hanging on for interest sake. Not a big holding,

The last three are "rebirths". Some devs got behind them and they all had new launches with fixed improved stake. So I'm dabbling. All of those have very low liquidity.

I can't believe TEK these days. Definitely one of my favorite coins at the moment.
544  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 14, 2014, 08:03:24 PM
PB Mining will continue proving the skeptics wrong -- we have given our reasons as to why we don't publish certain information and we will lift our transparency when the time is right -- especially when we are big enough to start effectively solo mining.
For those of us who missed it and don't want to pore through 148 pages, could you refer me there?

PB Mining has been going strong for me for a couple of months I've got no complaints.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: May 25, 2014, 09:14:17 AM

10% PoS per month is massive inflation and it will drive the value of this coin into the ground while encouraging hoarding, thus killing the velocity of the coin and with it, any value it has.

If PoS is added it has to be a small amount, something less than 8% PER YEAR.  Even that would be seen as a high inflation rate but much more rational than 10% per month.

While it seems that way, if you like at the price history of coins like HBN, TEK and PHS you will see that they have not had loss of velocity in the coin or "any value it has". Please take a look at the evidence. Of course they have fluctuations but long term value is up and none have lost 90% + of the coin's value, as far as cryptos go they are very stable.

Pure scrypt mining coins which no one has an incentive to hold are the ones which are being dumped mercilessly across the board right now.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Investment - NVC/HBN/PHS/TEK/and more on: May 24, 2014, 11:10:10 PM
TEK is my new favorite PoS coin.

40% interest per month sounds too good to be true- but so far stakers are holding onto their staked coins and the value just keeps on going up.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: May 24, 2014, 10:59:25 PM
yeah friend of me said he is gonna invest too in this and will try help in the long run let it go up

Wow, look at all the investors. A little over 0.5 BTC in total buy orders at Poloniex. Yeah guys just ride it out, it will bounce back... Yeah, no big changes needed, it's about long term. Really, that's the stance?

Well I've seen ALOT of coins and I am crossing my fingers the team implements PoS so people have a reason to buy and hold the coin - to earn interest while staking for science! So no, I suppose that isn't the stance.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: May 24, 2014, 10:25:17 PM
PoS coins are very popular and seem to have very stable and increasing exchange rates (as people hold onto them to stake more coins)

Give EMC2 10% monthly interest is another idea which could be relatively easily implemented and will most likely "save the coin"

This is the easiest, fastest way to see big turnaround in EMC2

EDIT: let me know asap if this will be implemented as I will buy a lot Wink

Staking for Science! Has a nice ring to it too Wink Most pure scrypt mining coins are failing as it has been done to death, PoS is the future and EMC2 is a good fit for it Wink It will make the network more secure too.

While my merge mining suggestion above would be cool - I don't expect the community to agree to such a radical change. In my opinion implementing PoS asap could be exactly what EMC2 needs and in terms of effort required to positive outcome ratio it is probably the most effective thing which can be done right now.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: May 24, 2014, 10:05:18 PM
EMC2 should Be merge mined with BTC and use receiver files like Devcoin (so the sponsored projects receive EMC2 every month ongoing)

Other people who want to be involved in the project can be on the receiver files and earn EMC2 every month for their marketing efforts.

e.g bloggers can earn some each month for having EMC2 banners on their blogs, people can earn some for having EMC2 in their signature, administrators of EMC2 project can earn for their ongoing work etc.

Merge mining with Bitcoin also has benefit of saving energy and also EMC2 will be secured by huge network power.

Any coin like this with a mission should implement receiver files and merge mining like DVC.

All old EMC2 coins should be migrated to new merge mined blockchain - this should happen within 2 weeks!

Devcoin value is arguably low as there is no hard limit on the number of coins - EMC2 will have much less coins created each month equals higher value.

 Wink

P.S Otherwise just keep doing what you are doing - this is crypto and everyone needs to understand most coins are not going to be the next Litecoin and the best thing right now is for the project to keep on keeping on. People have been freaking out way too much in this thread and there really is no need for it. EMC2 is still worth more than BTC was at one stage Wink

I am prepared to do battle on the orderbook if they want to battle me.

Ha ha I think HBN is a little overpriced right now so I am getting cheap PHS and TEK right now Wink

Pick you battles man!

I'll buy into HBN when it has a crash.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin Fast,Fair with 40% SuperStake! on: April 25, 2014, 07:48:01 PM
btw 6300% is completely unreal, i mean there is no way someone who invest 1000$ into thoses coins and wait for a year can sell 64000 $ worth of tek

But that's my master plan  Cheesy

Seriously though the new wallet looks good!
555  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Skycoinlab.com --Bitcoin/Litecoin Cloud mining service--$6.99/GH 2 years on: April 25, 2014, 05:31:21 PM

Congrats guys!

What pool does PB mine on?  Do we have any input on where hashrate is pointed? What proof is there of ownership of hashrate?

Absolutely no information on that, they refuse to tell us. These questions have been asked many times lol.

I did try and scan the last 4-5 pages of the thread and didn't see anything.  Apologies for beating a dead horse  Cheesy

Price is attractive but need more transparency for me to be a customer...

Expect no transparency.

When asked reasonable questions regarding concerns of this being a ponzi scheme (for which there are several indications), their response was "contact law enforcement".
Which of course won't help much, as they hide their identity as well.

You can't exactly have an eBay account with the # of sales we do without having identity revealed.  Paypal even requires identity verification.  Our identity WAS revealed to the public at one point, actually, and we ended up retracting our transparency due to some disturbing events which occured.  Our stance on the subject has not changed.  We stand strong to protect the identities of our employees and to protect this operation.  As we continue to heighten our security, we will gradually become more transparent again.  Smiley

So just to clarify i was one of the first customers and bought hashing power on ebay. I looked at my paypal transaction statement and a name is given on it and says non-us paypal verified. Can I assume this person's name is legitimate and is you?

If we ever stole your money and you wanted to come after us, you could legally get paypal to reveal the required information.  Paypal accounts are tied to bank accounts, and so the trolls would have to imply that I was able to set up a fake bank account which would be highly illegal.  I doubt a true scamming company would take that route.  Wouldn't they just start with bitcoin only due to its anonymous nature?

Our customers trust us and we like the way we are doing business with them at this time.  We don't need to change a thing.  Smiley

I am sorry to hear about the disturbing events which occurred. Other companies like Cloudhashing (although overpriced) operate with complete transparency. In the long term I think this is highly important for you. I am looking forward to the day you increase your transparency (and then I will drop 10 BTC on 2 TH/s).

Hey guys,

New client is ready and will be posting it soon, going to contact cryptsy to see if how much time they need to do the update (so we don't have the delay issue).

Awesome work!  Grin

Withdrawals are working on cryptsy again. No idea for how long though. Get em while they're hot. Smiley

Yay my withdrawal I have been trying for over 2 weeks finally worked!

All Cryptsy need to do is use the new PHS wallet in the OP as the fork has been fixed like two weeks ago.

I've been trying to withdraw PHS for a long time - I assumed it would be fixed by now - I was wrong  Cheesy
