The admin of CEX.IO has replied to me via email and said they will add DVC/BTC trading when enough people have requested it.

To get DVC/BTC trading on CEX.IO (which is an exchange which has pretty high volume) please complete the following steps:

1.) register for http://cex.io

2.) Go to this link https://support.cex.io/entries/28554767-Convert-NMC-IXC-DVC-to-BTC

3.) Click vote for this feature

4.) You can also submit a support ticket requesting they add DVC/BTC trading asap!
DONE!
Go people go! Devcoin is so underrated novadays.

Reposting one last time (as people seem to be looking for it): if anyone hasn't completed the above steps it takes ~2 minutes and means Devcoin will get on a big exchange and increase even more in value! It'll be added there at some point anyway but we can speed up the process Wink

This such wow
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin support a country? on: December 14, 2013, 05:26:11 PM
so we can make a sell off and then buy in this whole country? Grin

If Bitcoin was adopted by a country as an official currency, could the Bitcoin network handle it?

There was an idea on the forums to buy an island and declare it a BTC republic. Some of them cost just a few mil $.

An artificial island nation would be the go - some BTC billionaires could seriously afford this now.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow - v1.1 Released on: December 14, 2013, 05:20:51 PM
Guys if you really want to get rich (I mean take DOGE to $1) stop selling your DOGes altogether, you can what happens when demand is high and supply is low. Let's create a market shortage till we get DOGes on some big exchange.

There's no use selling millions of coins for 0.2 BTC, if you'r in it aim high, aim something life-changing.

im not selling any yet im trying to become a dogellionaire  Cheesy

I told my girlfriend today I'm a Dogecoin millionare - I'm happy enough already - beats being a fiat millionare anyway  Wink
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 14, 2013, 12:24:36 PM
when is Nxt going to be on exchanges like cryptsy or bter or stuff like that? or is there anybody working on the issue?
cos i have heard that dgex is barely functional and also, being in those bigger exchanges will clearly boost Nxt popularity.
DGEX is functioning well. Manually verifying and processing payments in a single man operation takes sometimes 24 hrs or so, usually a few minutes up to a few hours. More automation is on its way.

Deposits at DGEX seem to be coming in much faster now - it will be awesome when everything is fully automated.
789  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Anyone interested in chatting about BTC RF transmissions / internetless bitcoin on: December 14, 2013, 12:22:53 PM
This will definitely be integral to the future of BTC.

Unfortunately, I am too busy to get too involved.

But would be happy to help spread the word: http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/services

When you get to the point of seeking capital - we could even post up an article (supplied by you) for free - if you do not have the funds for a full Press Release.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 14, 2013, 07:50:51 AM
Psybits can you show us previous examples of your promotional work and tell us a little about yourself?  Are you a journalist?  Please start a topic in the "Project Development" section of the NextCoin.org forum.

I think funds for PR should be collected by someone like Pouncer and then paid out of that fund.  Pouncer would be a good choice for administering community funds.

I also think any PR should wait until we get the website up and running.  We will get a better response if we can present a more concise image.

I run http://bitcoinprbuzz.com - I have a strong background in online marketing and we have been serving the Bitcoin / cryptocurrency community for a year - you can see testimonials from real clients on our site.

You can see the full service at http://bitcoinprbuzz.com/services

Our thread, which includes samples of work is at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=181318.0

We are also on twitter at: http://twitter.com/bitcoinprbuzz

I posted this information previously but it seems to have been lost in all the awesomeness on this thread Smiley

We are actually really busy at the moment - I just wanted to help NXT as I think it has great potential.

I will get started on the draft for the first Press Release - and I will send the draft to bybitcoin for approval before we send it out.

Hopefully once everyone sees the results of the Press Release - everyone here will see the value of it Smiley

Please do not send any more BTC to the PR donation address at this stage - our normal price is 0.5 BTC but I will do the Press Release for NXT for 0.4 BTC. If all goes well we can fund future Press Releases in NXT (which I prefer) - when we can send the required NXT straight to our dgex account. Thanks everyone for your support!

Looking forward to it Smiley

This coin will end up on Cryptsy for sure - the only real question is when.

Ola asked me to post my BTC address.

As we now have an agreement - if anyone has donated BTC please PM me with your BTC address and the amount you donated and I will provide a refund.

Quite frankly I have more than enough clients currently who are paying up front - so you let me know when you want a Press Release for NXT

Cheers

EDIT: There is actually 0.4 BTC which has been donated towards the NXT Press Release (https://blockchain.info/address/1DhWW2JhTFn1sx8wrMTDPDv6UnDUsbShnk ). So would you like me to do a Press Release for NXT or refund the BTC? As you said you didn't agree with it - so I want approval before / if we go ahead (I like to keep things above board). The main reason we used BTC was because my only NXT wallet is at dgex (which only accepts manual deposits) - and we hadn't heard back from you re the Press Release for NXT and wanted to get the ball rolling.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Devcoin ATM Bounty on: December 13, 2013, 11:23:47 PM
Since devcoin is centered around development do you think their will ever be a bounty for the creation of a devcoin atm? I really want to see an altcoin atm as I think it would do something great for bitcoin in the long run

I agree there should be a devcoin ATM. Since it involves hardware it would be a big project, so how about 96 shares? Any objection or should something be changed?

+1, big thumbs up.

EDIT: Maybe split into stages, a banknote reader and laptop could work as an atm but its a long way from that to a secure production quality unit.

To qualify for 96 shares I think it should be a production quality unit (anyone could combine a banknote reader and laptop otherwise - without actually creating a finished DVC ATM).

I also think it's awesome!
