The ‘Bitcoin Family’ immigrates to Portugal for its 0% tax on bitcoin.

- Didi Taihuttu, patriarch of the so-called ‘Bitcoin Family,’ is setting down roots in Portugal, Europe’s ultimate crypto tax haven.
- The Dutch family of five that has spent the last five years traveling to 40 different countries.
- The Taihuttus chose Portugal for its advantageous crypto tax rules, which include a 0% tax on bitcoin.

Is Taihuttu one of those ancient Dutch names?

I heard in some documentary that some of the nordic countries or around there (denmark for example) didn't had last names like less then a 100 years ago and only noble aristocracy had a right to a name and in the 50's or something they made everyone pick from a list with a bunch of names. There is no spoon. There is no name. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

https://twitter.com/btc_archive/status/1489599183636025347?s=21

Just had a small discussion regarding this tweet with one of my friend and it went very interesting so I thought of sharing it with my WO bros.

So, In above poll although at first i selected “NO” without much thought, but when I saw 26% saying “YES” I gave a little thought and I realize may be this is an option too and after discussing with my friend it looks like yes this is an option too.

Ok so there could be two basic scenarios:

1.Let say bank accepts your bitcoins investment and promises you a certain interest rate let say 1% in BTC annually. This will be a great option indeed, your bitcoins are actually increasing and without any fears of inflation. But if you keep it with you, let say you invested 2 btc, your 2 bitcoins will be 2 bitcoins after a year but in bank case it will be  2.02 BTC.

2. In second scenario let say bank accept your bitcoins but wants to pay you interest not in BTC but fiat like $ and let say it’s 5% (5% of your equivalent fiat investment). Still in this scenario you are safe. Your bitcoins are safe, not increasing but not decreasing too and on top of that you are getting some cash which you can spend on any thing and your original bitcoins remains same.

3. Third scenario is you don’t invest but you just store it, and yes you can access it through your banking app similar to any wallet and you can easily convert it into your desired currency on the go and withdraw the money when needed. Yes some fee in fiat is applicable.

Well please don’t bring “not your keys, not your bitcoins” into this because that’s a different concept and I totally accept it. But in this case bank promised you it’s your bitcoins and on your demand you will get it back.

What you guys think?

Yes... but in a case of a war... or a pandemic (LOL). A bank might block your funds and don't let you or want you to leave the country to abandon ship. Or some internal job theft. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

6 million sats for 300 transactions? Paying those on-chain comes much cheaper.
Yeah, well, that's where the circle jerk part comes in. I'm trying to fill up nicehash for real cheap, but kelo keeps draining it, while simultaneously funding it.
Crazy shit, man.

Ok. My strategy of setting retarded low levels on a drained channel to fill it back up again finally resolved with ln.nicehash.com. Took longer than 24 hours with the kelo circle jerk, but finally got it fully rebalanced to my side, where I can start cranking up the fees again.

Babysat another LOOP connection open, and set fees to 1000/2000 just now - Let's see how long that lasts. Already drained 25% of the liquidity after setting it to 1000/1000 fees. Expecting this one to eventually get shut down because of the way LOOP handles their connections; not sure I'll be able to use my super low pricing strategy to refill the channel my way when it inevitably gets drained to their side...

 Assholes.

Well.... if u'r making them lower their fees as well to compete with you.. Then.. THAT IS GREAT NEWS!! CRYPTO CAPITALISM AT ITs FINEST!!! Cheesy Cheesy

*edit(): I would do what you do, just to stick it to others! Don't care much of the losses. And if break even, then I'm uber.super.ultra.mega GAME! Shocked Shocked

Something they said triggered me. And lead me to a strange path of thinking that 'Satoshi' is aliens. And if the inventors planned this that when they come back after 200-300 years and their species will inherit our planet because they have too much wealth. Of them having a big corporate-parliament council and they split 100K bitcoins to each. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

What's this place coming to?

It used to be filled with pix of fine seafood, filet mignon, fois gras, and fancy drinks. I'd come away hungry.

Now it's full of disgusting franchise burgers... enough to kill your appetite.

Let's get rid of this loser McD/ramen mentality and regain our composure as Bitcoin elite.

As I said before, BTCiTcoin and some other 2-3 crypto WILL BE LOCKED IN A VAULT !!! ... and never used directly, but only rarely. It will be used as a side-app for fools that believe banks will empower those apps with the actual coins. But it will be a thing like physical gold backing fiat, meaning that who knows if the bank actually owns what they say, they could show fake wallets.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Some stats for context, 67% population of Crimea were ethnic Russians, 80% of population spoke Russian as their primary language, and naturally this is how they voted, Yanukovych (blue) was the pro Russian president that ended up winning

Current military conflict is in the two regions that voted 91% and 93% for pro Russian president.

So Hm: based on the voting patterns one could make a pretty reasonable assumption that the area of "land" just above Ukraine, to the right of Poland, and below Lit/Latvia/Estonia would probably be pretty highly "Pro someone other than Russia". Would Russia be ok in ceding that territory in exchange for the areas that voted Russian in the Ukraine?

I think they secretly would, although they won't admit it, ever.

The problem is, Putin (or Russia in general) DGAF what "the people" want. Do any rulers ever? What Russia very, very badly wants is a sea port in "warm" waters. Crimea's Black Sea is a good start.

But the thing is, they always had that Black Sea sea port, it was theirs to loose. They didn't gain a new port, the options in front of them was to either do nothing and loose their black sea fleet, or keep their fleet and suffer the consequence. A blind person wouldn't be surprised by the outcome, but US conveniently first gave out cookies and then cries how Russia is a bully.

As far as the war drums, Ukraine's west clearly doesn't like Russia (where 90+% voted against them, and don't want to speak their language) invading them would be a political suicide. So nothing happens (beyond small localized conflicts like they've been having for the past 8yrs),
west gets to claim how they stopped invasion of a big bad bear and playing on that fear push more nations to join and get more NATO bases on Russian border.

I think that's a great idea!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

All bears belong in a cage or a fence at the Z00!!! Cheesy Cheesy

If I had an "extra" house, I could have sold it in 2016 too as I was trying to invest as much as I could (within some strict limits), but selling the house where I live-you have to be a bit more adventurous-like the Taihuttu dude (he sold the house when btc was $900, became a nomad with his whole family).

In any case, selling a live-in house to try to gain a bit of leverage is probably beyond most people. I have seen a couple reports like this, but usually it was a second house of a house that was inherited.

Don't you have like, family??  That has some orchard somewhere that they need help with. Cheesy Cheesy ...

The only problem is that you need to move all your sh!t that you accumulated for the past 20 years in your house. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Mark Twain said it best: Never argue with an idiot. You'll never convince the idiot that you're correct, and bystanders won't be able to tell who's who. Peace.

I would love to know from out experts here if this is bullish or bullish. 🤨

Probably it is the next dip that I'm expecting to happen. I have cash prepared for this last dip. My last 20% of cash for scooping some more stuff and maybe some BTCiTcoin as well, but I'm not a big believer in BTCiTcoin gains anymore. Another 10x is meh for those like me with 2000x .... GO F^CKING BANANAS ON SH!TCOINS !!! BUY ALL THE SH!TCOINS!!! Cheesy Cheesy ... (before bankers do ofc.. Tongue ) Cheesy Cheesy

Anyone still believing in shitcoins after the recent dip wiping them almost off the face of the earth must have a mental problem OR is simply trolling which I think you and Proudhon do OR is part of a distract and earn money scam scheme which I think the likes of Raul Pal and many other YouTubers are part of.

It is also CLEAR to see with yet another stablecoin entering the top 10 recently and looking to stay, there is simply no room for shitcoins to even exist beyond penny stock pump and dumping.

This doesn't mean I don't support anyone who can make a quick buck through mining or increasing their BTC stash through swaps.

But let's not kid ourselves on here. There is absolutely NO value in shitcoins and they are time and time again proven to be a terrible long term investment compared to BTC.

With only 3 shitcoins out of the 19 in the top 20 from 2017 still in the top 20 now it is clear to see they are 95% utter garbage (pump and dump and forget) and maybe 5% luck (distraction campaigns that last).

Look.. the only thing with BTCiTcoin is that it has some supply trapped on ATM's that needs to always be liquid. That makes a part of the supply "not-active-status", that means it is not being trade, that means it has no participation on the market, aka 'it is not being dumped on opportunity swings'. But, as soon as some sh!tcoin gets adoption and is being trapped trough the same mechanism of ppl having it as 'liquidity' on PC's / devices / ATM's, the price will go up in value and no one will not want to trade on it as much. So.. you think about that.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Grin
And besides that, think of it in another way: "Bitcoin is not supposed to be used as a currency."  ,.. You basically can't have 2-3 million transactions per second just for coffee orders at your local coffee shop.
BTCiTcoin is supposed to be kept locked in a safe and not be used.

Makes you wonder, this action by Putin. I wonder if they'll secretly set up huge mining farms using renewable energy. They’ll keep it all under the radar in preparation for the next bull run & onwards. If Putin is on board it means Russia will be big players in the future of bitcoin.

Russia will be excluded and devalued.   Wink

A little bit of light on a dim Monday.  I feel exactly zero sympathy for this asshole.  I feel a little bit for his family.  But I watched him personally cheer on the lawsuits coming out of the project he supported.

What he built was so CLOSE to a good idea but based on such a bad idea there was no saving it.

One more thing.

He STILL hasn't learned his lesson.  Twetch did not fail because of bad PR!  It failed EXACTLY BECAUSE it was anchored to a centralized chain and the centralized actors decided to kick him out, and the market was wise enough to also value the centralized project where it belonged.  But this is just the sort of failure that awaits those who build on a centralized blockchain and then do not stay on the right side of those who control the database...  Twetch did not fail because Calvin likes little girls.  It failed because the idea of writing the entire internet to a blockchain is a retarded.

Asshole still doesn't get it.  (Sorry to any of you WO brothers who still hold out hope for the big chains.)

To be honest, he wasn't even a trader to look at the charts. Or have much understanding of economics, market fluctuation and bitcoin volatility. Plebs lacking knowledge deserve their faith.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

I mean.... I do deal in sh!tcoins as well....... But I buy at the f^cking bottom. or at least 5-10% away from it in worst cases. And my strategy is to wait at least 1 year before selling or minimum 5-7 months (depending on market momentum.)  And my other strategy is to no trade more then 1% per day, and that means basically every 100 days, you double your money. But I'm starting to fear stable coins and the traditional fiat, it might go nuts in the following months.  Shocked  Shocked
