I don't know, I think these freebies aren't really worth the effort, unless you happen to find something really good, which doesn't happen too often.
Time spent on this kind of stuff could be put to so much better use, perhaps learn a valuable skill which you could then offer in return for Bitcoin.
If I had to choose between spending a week looking for giveaways or other free crypto-related stuff or spend that time learning how to build a website or programming, I'd choose the latter. It's a far better investment of my time.
Although I have a comfortable trading/investment portfolio and I do have a full time day job, I still make more money from shitcoin airdrops and giveaways than in my day job, a lot more. If you also do some bounties, you can make really good money. Check out how much it is worth now NEM, Decred and Ripple airdrops.

Havelock doesn't provide the update list of share holders, I got only half the shares.
Who could guess would be fucked by Havelock in the end...

The ideal initial amount is 0 (zero), you earn some coins in airdrops, giveaways or doing some simple tasks online and then you build your portfolio from there.
That's how you really learn to navigate in bitcoinland.
If you have enough money to invest, money your can afford to lose, then just buy bitcoin every month, sit on it, and in a few years you'll have a nice sum of money.
Is it really possible for newbies to earn any significant amount of coins through airdrops or giveaways? I mean actual Bitcoin, not some obscure ICO that gives away a few of their tokens. I tried some faucets and stuff myself when I first started, but quickly found out that they weren't worth the effort and I just bought some coins for a couple of hundred dollars after a few days. I've never lost any, so it can't be too hard for a newbie to learn about Bitcoin after making a small investment. Though this was before the fees were so high, so I guess you could make some mistakes with that now. Of course it is, just keep accumulating and don't expect to retire after a month or a year, but after 2 or 3 years, those accumulated coins will be worth quite an amount of money, of course it requires to learn how to trade, don't keep shitcoins forever, but some are good projects and value will increase a lot.

I speculate CVC will hit 109000 sat soon It's definitely on sale right now. That would be awesome indeed, but very hard to get to that value, it would be a 11x increase in price. What makes you so optimistic?

All the drama around the activation of Segregated Witness and Chinese miners trying to take control over the network and then they forked bitcoin so they can have their "Satoshi vision" bitcoin and now they may be out of business.
Never a dull day in bitcoinland.

Here in my country, you can make a good living with $300 dollars a month.. And i traveled to united states a few years ago, and i had to spend $100 dollars a day (aproximately) to buy the same things that i boughted in my country, buying food, stuff, etc. But minimun wage in USA is aprox $3000 - $4000 a month, so that is why it is so expensive to live in there.
I live and work in the united states. I work part time. I don't make nearly anywhere near $3,000 and I work above minimum wage. I make (before taxes $9.00) Minimum in my state is $8.25 I think. After taxes weekly earnings for 5 days a week and 30 something hours comes out to about $200 something dollars. So about $800-$1000 a month, above minimum wage with about 30 hours per week. You won't be able to rent a house for under $600 ANYWHERE in the states There are other basic expensives. Let's ballpark food at $300 a month, and let's ballpark gasoline at $60 and car insurance at $185... Let's ballpark health insurance at $100 All are basic costs.... Let's add them up. (600+300+60+185+100) = $1245..... So you can't afford the basics and to live anywhere in the United states at 30 hours a week. Not in 2017 at least.... Bet your 30 hours could get you a nice apartment in New York in the 50s though.... And notice the stuff I left out... Cellphones, Internet Access, Water, Electricity.... Life in the US is rigged by the rich to the point of being nearly unlivable for the working class. I'll let George Carlin explain that one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKUaqFzZLxUWait, $185 per month in car insurance? Like, every month you have to pay something like that if you own a car?

Hello dear bitcointalk community, would you like to tell me where i can find actual airdrops? Does exist the thread of airdrops ANN?
Just search the announcements section, there's always airdrops and giveaways happening, also a lot of bouties to work on, you can make some real money there, but you need to do your own research and work.

If/when something like this happens it's an opportunity for the rest of us to buy cheap coins and for a mining business to begin thriving in other countries.
We will be able to buy all the cheap hardware from these closed mining facilities at good price, probably.
Bitcoin survived some major trials, this is just another block in the road.

Bitstamp is amongst the best you can find, well funded and professional team. Been using Bitstamp since the beginning and I don't have a single complaint, well, interface could be a bit better.

Active development, Ledger integration, Coinomi implementation, roadmap up to date, Viacoin Core 0.15 incoming.
Don't expect it to go to the moon, but it is a really solid project and price will continue its climb.

China still has the benefit of cheap electricity, cheap workers and from the fact they can copy anything without worries on copyrights. If the Japanese will make a better ASIC miner, it'll get copied and used locally. I don't know what their regulations are about, but normally they should help Bitcoin and people reaching it legally, however, even regulations cannot stop Bitcoin. Even a ban would only make a little harder to do Bitcoin transactions, but the rest of their BTC industry - mining, ASIC building - will remain mostly unharmed.
All in all, while Japan and other countries will get bigger and bigger shares of the cake, the dragon era is not over yet, their share of the cake is still very big.
Chinese miners may lose cheap electricity, apparently they do not qualify for government electricity subsidies and they're being investigated right now.

Just checked Bittrex, $EDG still bleeding, a lot!
Why did people got mad in the first place?
Website opening was delayed?
Just because of the way they communicated, which wasnt very transparent and the details they announced the launch didnt what they match what they stated earlier updates such as bets are limited to 0.2 not the 2 edg they stated in earlier updates and there was not mention of an 800 player cap for the launch and being very vague on the casino license so they announched the launch news people felt mislead and panicked Well, all I see there is a good plan to lunch the website, if there's something wrong, less people and less money involved the better.

Question to developers: Why is it called Ethereum, if code is based on Bitcoin/Peercoin?
Can you prove this. This coin is interesting. No whitepapers yet. Only 3 developers. Intention to add masternodes. This coin could be the ultimate sleeper for price action if they follow through.. or a massive flop. But this launch seems fair and I will participate in the air drop https://github.com/abi2018/wz37da/blob/master/COPYINGEthereum Dark is a catchy name but it is not related with ethereum.
