561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where we can loan out btc? on: August 09, 2015, 02:41:53 AM
The most trustworthy bitcoin lending platforms are btcjam and bitcoinlendingclub. Btcjam pays up to 19.3% and bitcoin lending club around 12% interest. Be careful if you lend on btt, many scammers lend coins and never pay back.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earn bitcoin by sharing your bandwidth on: August 08, 2015, 11:41:22 PM
I hope that this idea/product gets to be successful but I am afraid that ISP's won't allow users to sell their internet bandwidth.
563  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: any one here work for virwox ? on: August 08, 2015, 11:38:59 PM
This isn't the virwox support center. Try to send them an email at office@virtualworldservices.at ,or check out their contact support site https://www.virwox.com/contact.php  they have included their office address and VAT number.
564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is crashing. Why? :( on: August 08, 2015, 11:32:57 PM
There are several reasons why the price is crashing, one of them is the situation of bitfinex and NYC bit license and one is because of ethereum launch many dumped for profit. But its all speculation.

566  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tokyo Court: Bitcoin Not "Subject to Ownership" on: August 06, 2015, 06:20:55 PM
Tokyo's District Court has ruled that bitcoin is "not subject to ownership", with a judge informing a plaintiff he could not claim for bitcoins lost in the Mt Gox collapse.
Judge Masumi Kurachi stated that, due to their intangible nature and reliance on third parties, bitcoins cannot be covered under existing law.

Mark ... this kind of crap that kills Bitcoin . just like Silk road or any other Darknet market

Check more and read fully here : http://www.coindesk.com/tokyo-court-bitcoin-not-subject-to-ownership-2/

If you look into it thats not really what it says. What it really means is that because bitcoin is fungable you can't lay claim to any particular btc. Likely ruled to help the Japanese bankruptcy official able to liquidate holdings to JPY and pay out that way.
Yes but you could technically claim ownership of the private key which holds the bitcoin. I think that the judge doesn't know much about bitcoin and how it works.
567  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will Ethereum's launch affect BTC's price? on: August 06, 2015, 06:16:30 PM
None of your three scenarios seems to be plausible. I think the release of Ethereum won't affect the price of Bitcoin. By the way Sidechains probably will kill the Ethereum project or make it obsolete.
I agree that sidechains will be more useful than ethereum, ethereum has a decent hype but once the first bugs appear and sidechains are released ethereum will become obsolete. Bitcoin can survive with itself but ethereum needs bitcoin in order to survive. I don't think that the ethereum launch will affect the bitcoin price at all.
568  Economy / Speculation / Re: There is a chance to see $380+ soon [With charts] on: August 06, 2015, 06:11:10 PM
This spike looks too optimistic to happen. Lines on charts aren't accurate they are like hand reading for trading. $300 seem more possible than $380, only time will tell.
569  Economy / Economics / Re: profit maximizing on: August 06, 2015, 06:08:20 PM
Try to make small profits as fast as you can, those small profits will stack up and make a decent profit. Don't try to make huge profits quick, take small gains and soon it will be a good profit. Just don't make any losses, only profit matters.
570  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 40.000 People use Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2015, 06:02:25 PM
40,000 users seem way to low, it would probably be at around +1M users. The price wouldn't  sustain if it only had 40k users and companies wouldn't invest in bitcoin at all if it had such a small userbase.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks were supposed to be frightened of Bitcoin on: August 05, 2015, 12:03:35 PM
The banks will use the bitcoin technology for their own benefit, they don't care about bitcoin as a currency. They are more interested in the blockchain technology which would be useful or the banking industry.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock CEO tweets about his new t0.com platform on: August 05, 2015, 11:19:09 AM
Purportedly Patrick Byrne's twitter account:

https://twitter.com/OverstockCEO/status/628567358219657216

If real, I find this very exciting. The linked website however, is devoid of anything sans logo and mechanism for signing up for a spam list has gone live since this post was first made:

http://t0.com/

Anyone have any more details?

News a month ago was that he was planning on launching a securities exchange (a la NYSE, NASDAQ, or similar) where all trades happen on the blockchain. More specifically, on the Bitcoin blockchain.

"Though Byrne originally told WIRED the bond would not be issued on the blockchain proper, it indeed will."

Byrne's a rockstar. From exposing the nefarious issuances of naked shorts on the major trading platforms, to an early rollout of Bitcoin acceptance for a vast catalog of internet order products.

I am very interested to see where this goes.
Any idea who their partner will be ? I think that they will partner up with blockchain.info or ethereum  to power the platform.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become the best technology ? on: August 05, 2015, 10:48:22 AM
Bitcoin doesn't need to be the 'best' in terms of technology. It has the first mover advantage. It will also serve as the base crypto-currency.
This, Bitcoin itself is a technology and is the most popular cryptocurrency. So the statement is false, bitcoin is currently the most popular cryptocurrency.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is this a valid technical (non speculative) reason for bitcoins price rise? on: August 05, 2015, 10:43:46 AM
I'm not asking this in the speculation forum as I think this has nothing to do with the current price.  Previously I posted and was asking why the price would go up when there were so many possible bitcoins and satoshis.  I had heard that with bitcoin the transit time of the currency is very low so there's not much in transit and most is in wallets.

Now when I consider my own situation I am thinking to increase the number of bitcoins I have and the reason is not for what I want to spend but just because I want to have enough bitcoin on hand.

So in my situation I expect to keep around $1000 in bitcoins on hand rather than have to go to USD every time I need to get more coins.

If we all have this $1,000 or at least some decent amount then even with 21 million bitcoins is it right to assume that the supply will be limited and this would make the price increase.
The coin supply is limited, so when the usage of bitcoin rises and more people use it the price will rise. That is called deflation which is the opposite of inflation, and which was a major reason why Greece wouldn't adopt bitcoin as national currency. If more people used bitcoin your $1000 in bitcoin could be very valuable in the future, as long as more people use bitcoin.
575  Economy / Economics / Re: what state assets have Greece agreed to hand over? on: August 05, 2015, 10:30:52 AM
And who is the new owner?

Is it the Greek parliament that now belongs to Europe?

No, Greece sold mostly their rights of their infrastructure. Like airports, public transportation and ports. They will be managed and administrated by the debtors, so most or almost all profits will go to the debtors so Greece can pay their debt back.

577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All the bubbles were fake? on: August 01, 2015, 06:54:58 PM
Bitcoin companies would actually benefit from another bubble, so yet it is possible that another bubble will occur , maybe not this year but later. Too many investors and companies have invested into Bitcoin and they will of course try to make the bitcoin price rise for their own benefit.
578  Other / Off-topic / Re: What might Marks cat think now? on: August 01, 2015, 06:50:20 PM
His cat probably doesn't care at all , the only thing that it cares is about food an water. It will probably land an animal shelter until Karpeles comes out of prison.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be the time for TV ads about Bitcoin? on: August 01, 2015, 06:47:03 PM
I think that more Bitcoin companies should invest in product placement. For example someone using a trezor wallet in a movie or someone using Circle wallet in a series. Many trends got popular through product placement .
580  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are coming up on two years since the 1200 spike, longest no-bubble run? on: August 01, 2015, 02:40:11 PM
What is the longest run without a new ATH price bubble?

I am thinking that we are in a new era of Bitcoin. Can it stay like this for years?
The bitcoin price is stabilizing at the moment but I don't think that we will see another price bubble any  time soon. Once the usage of bitcoin rises, the price will rise since the bitcoin amount is limited. The bitcoin price prediction is a mixture of time, adoption and price/demand concept.
