Everyone has to take a short break at some points. We are all human, not robots and can not works continuously and aggressively from years to years. Vitalik is a very perfectionist and I believe he will return to code and upgrade Ethereum, with supports from Ethereum core team members too. When times reach the right point, important upgrade of Ethereum will be released. It depends not only on Ethereum development pace but also depends on market conditions.

Well, it seems like he has been on rest since the first week of September. It's a nice long rest, that's for sure! Tongue

Could it be related to the alleged multi-millions he made from selling lots of ETH when it was over the $1000 mark  Grin

Hehe, maybe. Grin
562  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!] on: January 23, 2020, 12:14:25 PM
The launch date on the second column may be misleading, as it doesn't tell anything about the history of the company.

If you consider Poloniex, it was the greatest exchange up to 2017, when its creator sold it to Circle. It changed owner again in 2019, and moved its HQ from Massachusetts to the Carribean, then to the Seychelles.

So the 2014 launch date is correct, but today's Poloniex is totally different from what it was 6 years ago.

Maybe it would be better to state the date when the company last changed hands? Great initiative, though.

This is a very good suggestion. I guess I should rename the current column to "initial launch date" and right next to it, add another column labeled as "changed ownership?". Under this new column, the link to the details/date of the change in ownership may be added.

What do you think about this solution?

568  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: US Impeachment on: January 22, 2020, 09:52:57 PM
Some people don't know, but if Trump is impeached, his term is invalidated... meaning he can theoretically be voted for 2 more terms as the 1st term is void.

Just food for thought

Are you sure about this? Can you link some legislation to support this affirmative?

In Brazil it is the exactly opposite: After impeachment the former president loses all his political rights, not being able even to vote for some years. This makes much more sense than what you are suggesting.

Not just Brazil, that rule exists pretty much in every country. I've read a little bit about laws around the globe and can tell you that even some of the African countries do not allow the president/prime-ministers to contest again if they are disqualified from the current term. TBH, some of the laws of US are very weird.

And US is a much more serious country than brazil.

Are you sure about that?

Politically, the US should be a much more serious country than Brazil, but in reality, as of today, it's a much more hilarious country than most.

Hey KonstantinosM, did you find anything on Dec 26th? What did the medical results say...? If I may ask... I pray for your health...

Wondering the same. Konstantinos did make a couple of healthy posts on the 25th and 31st of December here at the Bitcointalk forum.

@KonstantinosM, I seriously hope your medical results are fine! Do let us know about them here.

Just had a look at Vitalik's Github; the guy seems to be less interested in coding lately:

To be fair, the question extended beyond BTC to crypto.

And the bottom is most definitely not in for shitcoins.

"Definitely not"? IMO, it "probably is" for most of 'em. My baby ADA looks quite ready to fly too; I even dared to leverage long it a few weeks back at MEX (2.1x), so far in a nice profit. Not willing to take profits just as of yet.

Let's see, let's see...

A little modification in my ADA position:

Made another modification today:

I'm not taking any profits just as of yet; this is a damn awesome bottom. I'll wait for ADA to break out of this ~540 satoshis range and then reach out ~630 satoshis in no time before I think of taking any profits at all:

You can buy apartments in Japan for $100.  The only downside is you have to live in a massive, completely empty apartment building by yourself and it’s freaky as fuck.

Sounds nice. I'll be liked by everyone in the building!
