1301  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!] on: July 25, 2019, 08:17:44 PM
you might consider adding a column to indicate things like slow-paying, withholding withdrawals, or similar scam accusations. it looks like trade satoshi is having some problems: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/trade-satoshi/

Quote
We have received reports from the Safex and ColossusXT teams that user deposits are being withheld. Please be careful with your funds.

i think there are similar accusations against hitbtc and yobit too.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about adding those columns, as almost no exchange is perfect. Scam accusations exist for almost every exchange out there. However, what do you say if I add a column of "frequency of accusations at Bitcointalk" and list the total number of accusations received by each of the exchanges within this forum till now?

it's a tricky issue but obviously some exchanges are more trustworthy than others. one metric could be trust flags on bitcointalk. for example, livecoin has a red trust flag with significant support: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=462136

but if an exchange is really small or doesn't have a big forum presence, they won't necessarily be flagged. the complaints against tradesatoshi are mounting. coinmarketcap has also begun warning about tradesatoshi: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/trade-satoshi/

at some point, one should stop recommending these exchanges at all. if they stay on the list, there should be some indication of the issues.

Moreover, that "slow-paying" column can get very confusing as well. Today, I literally received a withdrawal from TradeSatoshi within 60 seconds, while Binance took about 20 minutes to process my BTC withdrawal (resultantly, my BitPay's invoice got expired and I had to write a ticket to them about this delay); but I just cannot say in any way that TradeSatoshi is faster than Binance, because sometimes Binance processes the withdrawals faster while TradeSatoshi doesn't.

i don't consider 20 minutes "slow-paying". i'm thinking more about withholding withdrawals for days, weeks, indefinitely---like mt gox and cryptsy were doing before they went down. keeping wallets in "maintenance" mode for weeks or months constitutes similar scam behavior. and i wouldn't have a separate column for slow-paying......just one column to cover all scam issues.

Thanks for your suggestion and feedback; I totally understand what you're saying. To tackle that issue, I've come up with the following solution:

-I'll be compiling all the complaints of each exchange submitted to the Scam Accusation section, and post them all in a thread with a separate post for each exchange.

-From each of post, which will have the overall compilation of scam accusations of a specific exchange, the frequency/no. of total accusations may be extracted and used in this thread in a new column.

-The exchanges that have the most scam accusations will be colored as red.

What do you think about this?

A column if the deposit address is renewable would be nice.

bleutrade, coinex, btcpop, southx

Even though I know absolutely nothing about any of those exchanges, I'll still have a look at them and try to add them to the comparison. Thanks, mate!

Ireland got a great team of bowlers who managed to slow down England batsmen else with 1 wicket down, they were looking to get over 300 runs but now they are struggling to get 280. Only 3 wickets to take and then Ireland can easily win this match with about 150-160 to chase down.

If England lose this match, they'll say Ireland have great bowlers Cheesy

Looking at the seam movement and bounce, I would say that even 150 is going to be difficult for Ireland. But we are not done with the England innings yet. Broad and Curran are good batsmen, and if they build a partnership, then they will be able to rescue the team from trouble. But disturbingly, none of the English batsmen has shown any patience or determination to stay at the crease. They seems to be in T20 mode.

Well, Curran played very well but now he's gone. It's quite amazing that even at the ninth and tenth number, England has some excellent batsmen. If England wins this one, it'll primarily because of amazing batting by Stuart Broad and Curran. IMO, these 60 runs will prove to be extremely precious for England.

lol, yes there are questions.  like when the fuck this thing will recover in price hahahaha
Special with Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson

In this episode of FinancialFox Crypto, crypto guru Stefania Barbaglio interviews Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Input-Output Hong Kong (IOHK) and founder of cryptocurrency Cardano (ADA).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EntvTBIqevw&feature=youtu.be

does he speak about how they will fucking unrekt this coin's price?? LOL wooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bro!

what the royal fuck!

Mate, you need to calm down a bit. Cardano has definitely taken a lot of damage from the bear run, but it'd ultimately recover and reach new heights. Moreover, Charles has nothing to do with the dumping, as you may explore the IOHK's addresses in the ADA richlist section and see that Charles has NOT moved even a single coin from IOHK's big stash. Now this test enter in very interesting situation as England 70 on board and 4 wickets down Bairstow and Root on crease so any result can happen because with three quick wickets Ireland bowling and fielders feeling some good one more wicket and England in some deep trouble.

Bairstow gone now England feeling pressure even Root is still on but now they are in danger

That's a beauty of test cricket. At one time England was looking very strong, but a couple of wickets including bad call of Joe Root with running out his partner messed things for England.

Half team already in dugout and inning's lead still in 2 figures, Joe Root need to play captain's inning here.

Well, along with Joe Root, Moeen Ali needs to make some room for a partnership with Root. The captain can only play a nice inning if there's someone present on the other end to support him.

Anyways, Irish bowlers did a fine job today yet again!

In this thread we will discuss about international Test cricket. I guess it was a community demand from long ago. The first time I noticed it when we had this world cup prediction pool.

@royse and everyone : guys do you think that we need dedicated thread for test cricket? If yes then some senior member please open new thread for "Test cricket "  main thread doesn't look good with big flag and spam.

The topic is self moderated to prevent spam.

Cheers :-)

I'm glad that you created this thread! Test format deserved a separate thread for the discussion. Good work, Royse!

Nessie.io seems to be one exchange that is taking a small fee as well 0.1% and they look like they can do deals. Not sure of the exchange itself on volume because they are associated with Bitcoinrush casino, so there should be a few alts for trading there. What do you think?

Nessie.io is redirecting to a website titled "MoneyPot", and that doesn't seem like an exchange or a trading website. Are you sure that you've posted the URL of the correct website/platform?
1306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 24, 2019, 11:12:54 PM
What just happened in the test match between England and Ireland, 20 wickets fell in one day which is crazy to see. I didn't get to watch the match but it would of been good to see as to why so many wickets fell in one day. Can Ireland get the win and put England on the back foot ahead of the Ashes series? Ireland are in a strong position currently leading by 122 runs with England starting their second innings 0/0.

Oh wow, I just had a look at the scorecard and I sure am surprised. Shocked

Jonny Bairstow: ZERO
Chris Woakes: ZERO
Moeen Ali: ZERO
Joe Root: TWO
Jason Roy: FIVE

It seems like Ireland's bowling line-up is improving; gotta see the highlights!

More than 5 years of this thread and we still dont have eth 2.0
Chill out, I know what you feel but let the devs work on it. There might be a reason why they keep on delaying it.

Well, there's a solid reason why they're still delaying it after all these years, and it's simple: ETHEREUM DEVELOPERS ARE STILL CLUELESS OF WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO. TBH, Ethereum is starting to look like a sh!tshow, with Vitalik playing with some new experiments on the testnet on a daily basis but resultantly, getting a "Game Over" over and over again. Seriously, using Bitcoin Cash for scaling is the silliest possible solution and the worst part is, if Vitalik wants it, he'll get it, as Ethereum seems to be solely revolving around one young personality, and this centralization is quite dangerous as well for the whole ecosystem.

~snip~
Moreover, the West Indies cricket board should forcefully retire him from the international cricket if he's not willing to provide his services for his original team for some other stupid T20 leagues.
I think that not the right way. A player can play according to their will. Denying to play for the national team does not mean that they can not continue in other international leagues. A player is free to sign up with any team/league.

We have seen AB as an example. The same with football to I think.

Well, in the case of AB, South African cricket board did the right thing by NOT selecting him for the world cup (even though I believe that he'd have proved to be great for the team during the world cup if he had played). But anyway, I don't think that we can agree on whether it's right for cricketers to play for leagues when they should be playing for their own country or not, because we've got a difference of opinion in this regard. 1309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 24, 2019, 01:05:56 AM
OUCH!

Why are you acting surprised when any fool can look at the charts and see every movement upwards from $4000 was a completely non-aggregate, cliff face rise manipulation originating from a single entity?  It was like a classic, textbook pump and dump ending with a double top.

I'm not surprised by this little correction. That "OUCH!" wasn't actually due to little BTC price dump, it was posted by me because I was reading the article Gold prices fall sharply after touching record high, silver follows suit, and though I don't own any Silver myself, I thought of someone (from this thread) who still owns old-fashioned, rustable metal. That "OUCH!" was for that guy. Poor soul. Not sure who still considers metals as a good investment in 2019, smh. Look at the YTD return of BTC vs. Silver.

About BTC, I've been saying it for weeks and I'll say it again that it's not easy to break $10,000 for good. We'll touch it, go above it for a while, and then keep returning to <$10k till we smash $15k and go beyond that. IMO, it'd take at least another month or two, as I still believe that we're following the (bullish and sideways) price actions of 2016, not the crazy price actions of 2017. Moreover, I agree that even at this stage, it's possible to manipulate bitcoin to some extent; however, with each passing day, it's becoming more and more difficult to manipulate it. Ultimately, we'll reach the point when it'll become impossible for anyone to manipulate bitcoin, and that includes Bitfinex/Tether. The market is maturing, and until it matures completely, I'm fine with these little manipulations. And yeah, if you think that bitcoin has been driven up by Tether injections, then you're surely forgetting the buzzword "Libra". I believe that to some extent, Suckerburg helped us in reversing the bearish trend of bitcoin.

Back to the Gayle thing, I do not know any update available about his retirement but it's very much predictable that he will retire from ODIs if he can not perform well but for T20s - he is still non-replaceable I think and Gayle should carry on to it.
The problem with all these West Indies players is that they give importance to these domestic T20 leagues than their national side, Gayle is not playing against the series against India is because he is participating in Global T20 Canada tournament, he is a force to recon in the shorter format of the game and he is taking full opportunity to make money while he can by participating in all the T20 leagues around the world who pays good money for him to play.

This is still ridiculous - Chris Gayle should be way more respectable towards the team (and name) through which he built his career and reputation around the globe. Moreover, the West Indies cricket board should forcefully retire him from the international cricket if he's not willing to provide his services for his original team for some other stupid T20 leagues.

The Poloniex's contribution to crypto's trading volume has decreased substantially, and a lot more traders (if compared with their current statistics) used to trade their back in 2016/17. So most of the scam accusations are quite old and not very relevant in 2019 as even the ownership of Poloniex has changed hands.

Note: An accusation is not a major one if either it belongs to someone having less than 5 merits or it's not a part of personal funds at the exchange. Moreover, if there's any merit to any of the accusations, it'll be considered as major. So if you feel that you're seeing an accusation which is not being considered as major, just give that accusation a merit and it'll be counted as major.

England are the winners for the 2019 WC and that's what will be written in the record books. You come here after 20 years and everyone will be saying that 2019 WC was won by England and it will be a history. No one will remember what happened and how England got lucky. That's a fact.
Hilarious. Majority of the Cricketing community will remember this match and its bullshit result for ages since it is probably the greatest Cricket match ever played in the world of Cricket surprisingly between England and New Zealand.

Another update to this unfair result.

Seriously, there's still no difference in the pumps and dumps of the Binance coins that are listed on more US-supported exchanges and the Binance coins that are NOT listed on any US-supported exchange. There are about only 50 days left, and USA people still seem so relaxed.

According to Alexa, about 25% of Binance's traffic belongs to the USA, and according to SimilarWeb, this percentage is about 15%. Eventually, IMO, we should get to see a nice dump on the coins and tokens which won't be available to Americans on nice exchanges after Binance.com trade suspension for US citizens.

https://www.dnaindia.com/cricket/report-eoin-morgan-feels-troubled-with-world-cup-final-result-says-not-fair-to-have-result-like-this-2774265

Well. Well. Well.  My respect for this man has increased greatly after reading this. Thank you for echoing the views of majority of the Cricketing fraternity Mr.Morgan. Only a fool would want perhaps the greatest match in Cricket history to end in such an unfair manner.

As always, I am not expecting pathetic ICC to improve the rules. Williamson and Eoin Morgan are gems indeed. 2019 World Cup champion : England + NZ!

This is an amazing and very mature statement by Eoin Morgan; I'm glad that he gave such a statement. England might be the on-paper winner of the world cup 2019, but people won't forget this final for a long long time and literally, both the captains, Williamson and Morgan, will be remembered as the "winners" of the world cup.

P.S. Eoin Morgan is the third "Irish" man to captain the English team. It's amazing that Ireland produces such great captains. However, it seems like it will no longer be easy for England cricket board to capture good Irish cricketers from now on:
