what is happening with Semifinals of this world cup? Today's match is like as the previous match. People really don't think that they will see this type of match mainly in Semifinals. only England need 2 more runs to win the match now. Both semifinals are really one-sided and unpredictable.

India Vs NZ wasn't one sided at all. At one point, when Jadeja and Dhoni was in ground, India had the chance to win too. Today's match is one sided though. Australia lost early wickets which is why they didn't have the chance to add faster run to the score.

Yeah, even when India was 30 runs behind the total, and MS Dhoni & Ravindra Jadeja were on the crease, it felt like India will win it. However, the scenario completely changed after a few balls. This wasn't the case today; the total that Aussies gave to the English team was vividly less than a competitive total for a team that is loaded with world-class run machines.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: July 11, 2019, 01:05:32 PM
~snip~

Well, the English batting line-up is way too strong and should easily be able to reach the target of 200-250.
That's what we thought about Indian betting line up too but losing few early wicket changed the game credit goes to the Kiwi bowlers who bowled really well and also Kane was attacking the batsmen with his fielding strategy.

You're correct there. India's batting line-up (except for the upper-order batsmen) wasn't exposed until the semi-finals, because India's openers and Virat Kohli remained fairly successful throughout. Let's see if we can see the repeat of drama today, with the English team losing early wickets.

I hope we don't get to see a one-sided match today with only Root, Buttler, and Stokes scoring all the required runs. Tongue

Australia vs England 2nd Semifinal,

Australia won the toss and took batting but they lost quick 3 wickets just like yesterday India have done and then their was a 100 runs partnership and then 2 wickets more down. Now Australia are 127/5 in 29 overs. If Australia score above 230 runs then chances are to defend.

Well, the English batting line-up is way too strong and should easily be able to reach the target of 200-250. Aussies didn't really put much effort in today's game; they should've mentally prepared themselves better than this. Roll Eyes

While drinking a hot cup of tea, I'm enjoying the page no. 15 to 17 of this thread. This is amazing; I saw Dhoni's today's failure coming in April and told Haunebu to just wait till the end of the World Cup.

My pre-World Cup comments for MS Dhoni:

I've got a feeling that Dhoni will be an epic failure for the Indian team if he's taken for the world cup. His experience can definitely help the team, but coming up in the middle-order, when the team requires a faster score, MS is no longer appropriate, especially on the difficult pitches.

You'll see what I'm talking about once the world cup begins.
First of all, I did mention in my post that I'm not following Dhoni in this year's IPL, so my analysis was based on Dhoni's recent performances in international ODIs, not on his performance with CSK. Moreover, it's a BIG MISTAKE that Indian cricket board and Pakistani cricket board are making, by selecting the team for the world cup (that is going to be played on a 50-over format) on the basis of players' performance in these 20-over format leagues (such as IPL and PSL). Moreover, in my post, I did admit that he has some very nice experience that can help the team, but the real problem that I think he's going to create during the world cup is by playing with poor strike rate. IMO, he'll look like an epic failure at that time.

What I got in replies:

Your analysis of Dhoni who has become a legend in the world of Cricket is completely wrong and downright stupid. Are you even watching the IPL?

Super batsman
Amazing wicketkeeper
Uber cool captaincy skills

At present, CSK has won every single game and lost only 1 game and they will be the first team to qualify once again this year. Think before trying to bad-mouth such a magnificent player.
I gotta admit that your analysis here is an epic failure buddy. Too many people like you underestimated MSD and got burnt for obvious reasons. Strike rate is obviously not everything.

...and now:

Kane Williamson is asked whether he'd pick MS Dhoni if he was his captain.

Wow, ADA seems to be hitting a new BTC/ADA low at Binance:

Will it be able to bounce like before? IMO, yes. Back then, IOHK (and Emurgo) had absolutely no product to show and ADA still managed to get a big jump due to crazy altseason. This time Cardano is a much more developed platform if compared with November 2017, and should be able to see even a better FOMO.

India in a trouble now. Already lost half of their wickets and need 148 runs in next 20 overs. i.e. a run rate of 7.4. This certainly is a bowling pitch and New Zealand's score is a good one.
This game could easily be won by New Zealand if they kept bowling the same way and keep their field tight.

India is no longer looking in that much trouble, as Ravindra Jadeja is playing a very aggressive inning and trying to get the game back in India's control. Awesome effort by this all-rounder, let's see if he's able to finish it up for India.

My question to Charles during the last AMA session:

I'd like your response on this Charles: If IOHK is given another chance by ADA holders after treasury implementation, what could you possibly propose in next 5 years roadmap?

His reply:

I must admit that the response was quite convincing.

1373  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Beta-Reader For Bitcoin Book on: July 09, 2019, 01:18:18 AM
Hello,

I have recently completed writing a book on Bitcoin which I will publish very soon, but I need to get some feedback from some Bitcoin savvy beta-readers. The book is 160,000 words in total. I will pay $40 in Litecoin for someone to beta-read the entire book and give good feedback, or $10 in Litecoin for someone to read a selection of three chapters and give good feedback.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

"Mastering Bitcoin" is about 80,000 words (nearly half of what you wrote) and I completed it in about 2 weeks. Your book is probably going to take a month (I know it's a long time), but I assure that I'll provide you some nice feedback at the end. I'm NOT going to take any of dollars (or LTC) from you for the feedback; reading (more) about bitcoin is pretty much nice and enough return already.

If you're interested, please let me know through PM. Smiley

India vs New Zealand Manchester Weather Forecast, World Cup 2019 Semi-Final: What happens if India vs New Zealand semi-final clash gets washed out?

https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket-world-cup/india-vs-new-zealand-semi-final-rain-weather-5820238/

This will be bad:

Quote
If the match is washed out on Tuesday, it will be played on the following day, which is the ‘reserve day’. Unlike the group stage fixtures where a point is allotted to both the sides in case of a washout, ICC has a reserve day for both semi-finals and finals.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast for the ‘reserve day’ also shows showers along with overcast conditions. If the match is washed out on the reserve day too then India will automatically qualify for the finals courtesy of accumulating the higher number of points in the group stages.

It'd have been a big success for ICC!

But, ICC don't fancy big money anymore, so they fixed that particular match and India lost to English team intentionally, just to keep Pakistan out.Tongue .............sarcasm and not rubbing it

Apparently, a nice update by the DENT team:

#SAMSUNG has approved #DENT as one of the first Apps ever to use the new #Blockchain Hardware Keystore of Galaxy S10 with a deep integration! Link to Galaxy Store is here: https://bit.ly/2LIYAtg  Check out the video to see how easy it is to use it! #dentcoin #btc #eth #eSIM

...but as far as I can guess, it's only the Galaxy App Store listing, nothing else.

half a billion dumped a minute ago in increments of 4 x 90 000 000 https://ln.sync.com/dl/2a816ae00/bj7je2im-9bdnutu3-frvcxcsc-b8s8tmvx
another 48 500 000 dumped shortly after to make the whole sum 500 000 000 it seems somebody had a target for today: dump half a million dollars until lunch time GMT
Who could that be?  Roll Eyes

Seriously, the DENT team could've waited a bit before dumping their today's stash, as the little wait would've provided them a better rate to dump on because of Samsung FOMO. But it seems like they're neither good at trading nor good at being nice to their investors.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 08, 2019, 05:45:41 PM
~snip~
I've been hacked... twice.
Both times they used RDP to access. The first time they just used my Google password and cleaned out some of my trading platform wallets (Nicehash, Gemini, Binance, etc) because I had my passwords saved on Chrome. Really stupid! I only lost a couple hundred bucks though. But I should have taken better action than changing my passwords because that's all I did. The second time it was because Chrome Remote Desktop! (That was another dumb idea. Almost as dumb as having everything stored to my Exodus wallet.)
What I think happened the first time was someone cracked my Google account (again). With that they were able to access my machines... to include the one with my Exodus wallet. They logged on, installed a keylogger and logged off. They logged on again later once they acquired my password for Exodus and cleaned me out. They I had over 30LTC stored in it.
It had nothing to do with Claymore though because I didn't have it installed on my machine with Exodus.

So now....

I use Awesome Miner to manager my rigs on a separate machines (I don't have any internet browsers on it or anything else) and my rigs don't have anything saved to it. I mine with MiningPoolHub and everything is paid out to my Ledger hardware wallet. All trading platforms I access with only one machine (which I turn on and off only as needed) and my cellphone. My mining rigs and the machine with Awesome Miner are all connected to a VPN router. I won't say that it's impossible to hack but it's definitely a lot more secure than before. I have changed the RDP access ports (no longer 3389) I also have Pulseway installed on my primary machine (that I'm on now) and whenever an RDP connection is logged in Windows event logger (Event ID's 1149) it sends an alert to my phone. Of course I updated the firewall settings on both of my routers (primary router and my VPN router) so that a remote connection can only be made by ONE machine (white listed for the one with Awesome Miner running.)

Still... I don't tempt fate. I shut down everything that I don't need and I run anti-virus (ESET) and MalwareBytes daily.

Conclusion:
Use this as a learning experience. I heard stories of being hacked and losing everything but I never really learned anything from anyone because "It'll never happen to me. I'm a nobody."
Some optimism though: At least you were hacked today instead of next month when you have even more to lose. I wouldn't even bother trying to pursue the hacker/thief because even if you could identify him/her there's nothing your local law enforcement will do. Assuming you could prove it, it would be a tough case to fight in court.

Advice:
If you NEED to use a wallet (such as Exodus) then store it only on a virtual machine and then shut it down when you don't need it. And obviously never store your passwords on Chrome or any other browser. (I can't believe I did that.)

This is a very informative and experience-filled post; I think you should make a new thread (maybe in Beginners & Help section?) and express this experience of yours there, so that it may reach more people and create more awareness.

thanks for reply, i did get the virusprog to accept it but now chrome blocks it, im using win10, avg free, chrome

This should help you:

1. Go to chrome://settings or just click on the settings icon on the dashboard.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click on Show advanced settings

3. Under advanced settings, find the subsection called Privacy and Security. Then look turn off the option Protect you and your device from dangerous sites.
