1441  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: June 21, 2019, 03:23:52 PM
Got an email from Bittrex that says that all funds must be withdrawn by June 9th, 2019. Not fun. Now I have to set up multiple wallets in my computer.

Yes, they've recently contacted the New Yorkers regarding that as they're suspending their services within the New York. Try a multi-asset wallet (such as Exodus) if you don't want to get the wallet for each and every other project.

~snip~

Thanks, I built a computer with spare parts, installed a bunch of wallet. Only problem at the moment is that just that eventually when I have to move them around, I'm going to relearn what I did because I have no muscle memory of it all. That feels stressful.

That's why I'm recommending you to get a multi-asset wallet such as Exodus or Zelcore. All of your assets (which are supported by these multi-asset wallets) then can be accessed by a single 12-word recovery phrase. But always remember, all of the wallets that you keep on your computer are secure as long as your computer remains secure. If someone somehow gets access to your system, you can get hacked.

TBH, "breaking" $10k ain't going to be easy. It's a very strong number:

-Back in February/March 2018, it acted as a support.
-From March 2018 to May 2018, it acted as a strong resistance, and BTC was ultimately rejected at near to $10k.
-Psychological resistance (the round number).

My guess is that we're going to stay below $10k for a while (for a couple of months) and then break it. Till then, we'll keep on touching it again and again and face rejections.

Just looked at the weekly view of bitcoin. Looks super-bullish to me. Touching ~$10,000 later this week isn't looking impossible.

Let's do it! Wink

A very big total to chase down for Bangladesh today. They're probably going to lose this one, but if Tamim and Shakib can gain some momentum and score a nice partnership, they can at least save Bangalis net run rate by not losing with a big margin.
1446  Economy / Exchanges / Re: US support of Binance's coins across Coinbase, Bittrex, Polo, Kraken, Huobi, etc on: June 20, 2019, 02:30:01 PM
Coins that are (probably) going to take the most damage:

makes sense to me. subtract capital from USA retail investors and the market should shrink. tokens that are obviously securities are gonna see less and less retail demand as they get removed from SEC-regulated markets.

on the flip side, are we going to see more money flowing into more accessible traditional altcoins? ie regular POW/POS coins, not tokens. i reckon USA investors aren't just gonna leave altcoins altogether. they're gonna buy into coins that are still available to them. there's at least a couple hundred to choose from on bittrex!

It should happen, but so far, it's not happening. I've been keeping an eye on the promising coins that are available on other exchanges (ADA, STEEM, etc) as well as on the promising coins that are part of the list I've shared (includes WAN, WTC, etc). So far, the difference ain't very noticeable. But then again, there are still 82 days left, and US traders can freely trade all these coins till then. IMO, we'll get to see the noticeable difference when we're close to September. 90 days is still like an eternity in the crypto industry.

However, I smell some real trouble for the coins I've listed in OP. See, Binance Jersey was launched back in January. After all these (six) months, no coin other than ETH, BTC, and BNB is listed there (LTC got listed there today). Similarly, we'll probably only see the very few majors in the start at the US version of Binance, and getting the listing of other sh!tcoins (especially the ones that aren't a part of top ten projects by marketcap) can take years.

1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 19, 2019, 11:08:32 PM
Like I mentioned in the other discussion thread about Bangladesh, they could be the dark horse of this World Cup and I even said that they could sneak into the top 4 and play in the semi-finals. They have shown that they can play well against the good teams and maybe this World Cup is their time to shine. It will take just one slip up from one of the top 4 teams and Bangladesh can sneak in. Right now that team could be New Zealand as they haven't played the top team yet so we could see Bangladesh make it, outside of the top 4 I think Bangladesh is the better team.

There is no need to get excited over a win against the West Indies. The Windies are no longer one of the cricket powerhouses. But it was a good comfortable victory, and will do a lot to strengthen the morale of the Bangladeshi players. But for them, the big test is coming up. Their next match is against Australia on 20th and to be honest I have zero hopes for an upset. And then they will face the South Asian teams (AFG, IND, PAK). Unless they manage to win 3 out of their next 4 matches, I don't think that they can qualify for the playoffs.

I'm not getting excited my friend, I'm just saying that Bangladesh have a good chance to make the semi-finals. Yes I agree they have a big test coming up as they start to play two of the top teams in the tournament however I can see them winning 2 of the 4 matches coming up. I don't think they will beat Australia and India but the other two matches they can win if they play well. Then they just need New Zealand to drop a few matches and Bangladesh will be in with a shot to make the semi-finals. New Zealand's last couple of matches are against Australia and England and we never know what the WI can do on a good day so potentially New Zealand could lose 3-4 matches coming up so lets see what happens.

I don't think that the two wins (out of the next four matches) for Bangladesh will be enough, they need to get at least three wins in order to qualify for the semi-finals. With two more wins, they'll have only 9 points. IMO, we've three clear semi-finals qualifiers:

-England
-India
-Australia

The fourth spot is solely going to depend upon the net run-rate at the end until and unless New Zealand beats both, the Pakistani team and the West Indies team. In the end, we're going to have three teams with 11 points, and these three teams will potentially be New Zealand, Bangladesh, or Pakistan.

The remaining matches include:

after the '=' sign, I've placed the team that I feel is going to win in that particular match

Aus vs. Ban
Eng vs. Sri = Eng wins
Ind vs. Afg = Ind wins
WI vs. NZ = NZ wins
Pak vs. SA = Pak wins
Ban vs. Afg = Ban wins
Eng vs. Australia = Eng wins
Pak vs. NZ
WI vs. Ind = Ind wins
Sri vs. SA = Sri wins
Pak vs. Afg = Pak wins
NZ vs. Aus
Eng vs. India = Eng wins
Sri vs. WI = WI wins
Ban vs. Ind = Ind wins
Eng vs. NZ = Eng wins
Afg vs. WI = WI wins
Pak vs. Ban
Sri vs. Ind = Ind wins
SA vs. Aus = Aus wins

If the results go according to what I've mentioned, the fourth spot will heavily depend upon the above four bolded matches, as:

-if New Zealand wins both the matches (against Pakistan and Australia), they'll get the fourth spot.

-if Pakistan is able to win against New Zealand and Bangladesh, while New Zealand beats Australia, then New Zealand will still get the fourth spot. If the same happens but Australia succeeds in beating New Zealand, then the net run-rate of New Zealand and Pakistan will be compared.

-OTOH, Bangalis need to get three wins and hope that Kiwis don't get the two wins out of all their matches.

IMO, today's match against Australia of Bangalis is going to be a very important one for their survival in the world cup. Bangladesh CAN do it, they've got the potential and if they remain positive, they can beat Australia.

Going to take a little break from trading for the next few weeks. Leaving most of my stash in BTC and ADA till then. Smiley

I'm back! Good thing I left most of my trading portfolio in BTC, as most of the alts have taken too much damage after Binance's recent announcement for the US traders. At this time, ADA looks cool as:

-LTC is pumping and ADA usually follows up after LTC.
-ADA is below 0.00000990 BTC, and historically, it doesn't remain below this level for much time and bounces back.
-Binance's recent announcement for US traders and can fuel up the big-cap projects which are listed on a number of different exchanges.

...so, here's what I'm targetting:

-Coin: Cardano (ADA)
-Price: 0.00000982 BTC
-Target: 0.00001082 BTC
-Exchange: Binance

It's back, finally:

Trollbox is back!

Time to rejoin Polo?

P.S. It seems like Circle literally destroyed Polo. The 24-hour trading volume of the whole platform is only 2k BTC. It used to be above 10k BTC when Circle acquired it. Roll Eyes

So what? AFAIK, Sadiq Khan has been doing a superb job for a while now. You can never completely eliminate all the crimes when your population is close to ten million. Roll Eyes

Sadiq "no reason to ever carry a knife" Khan?

it is the-first-tool ffs

LOL, what sort of statement was that. Just had a look at his tweet regarding a knife and can't defend Khan in that one.

Would you like to answer any of the charges against your faith?

Why the need to try force someone into a subject he has already expressed not really wanting to engage here?

Maybe because he thinks that he got me? Even if he forces me to reply regarding that, I won't do that, not at least in this thread. I came here to "defend Khan as the Mayor of London", not to "convert someone to Islam". Roll Eyes

Basing on the fact that interests are haram in islam, He should not own Bitcoin or altcoins.

It seems like you really just wanna jump into a conversation with which you've no connection, a bit childish TBH.

Bitcoin and alts aren't "interests" in any way. In fact, after gold (and other metals), I'd say that these digital currencies (especially the Proof-of-Work ones) are more Islamic than anything else on the planet; they've "work done" behind their creation. The most haram thing is the "nothing-backed infinite-supply paper-money". I'm still not sure how the governments have succeeded in convincing the Muslims that the valueless fiat they print is Halal.

Yeah let's not talk about the religion you are part of. I can't imagine why you wouldn't.

It's useless, mate. Over the internet posts/comments, nobody changes their opinion, especially on religions.

P.S. London consists of a lot of religions with healthy percentages. Islam isn't a very hostile religion there, AFAIK.

A mayor of your capital with a hostile religion means the culture is breaking down.

Religion is the root of all evil. Every religion, no exceptions. Well, except pastafarianism. Ramen!

Just read a bit about Pastafarianism and I think I'm going to waste my whole today reading more about it. Roll Eyes Seems interesting.

Topic started as a "flag roach" then "liberals shit hole country" and now going towards "Muslims" do you guys even know raja is Muslim?

Keep fighting or debating each other , roach is laughing his ass off.

Gave you one of my two precious sMerits.

Not going to discuss more of this, as it's getting way off-topic here. Literally, this discussion won't go anywhere if we continue; posting Vegeta memes makes more sense than talking about this sh!t.
1456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 17, 2019, 09:56:19 PM
And the mayor of your biggest city is a muslim.

So what? AFAIK, Sadiq Khan has been doing a superb job for a while now. You can never completely eliminate all the crimes when your population is close to ten million. Roll Eyes
So you have literally surrendered to Islam. Quite aside from the rape rings that have been going on for DECADES. That sort of thing doesn't happen for that long with cops who are afraid to be called racists without some very high level people involved. Your supposed leaders are traitors and the people are idiots.

Your point ain't making much sense to me. Mayors are elected to make the overall infrastructure better, which includes the improvement of the system of transport, housing, policing, etc. If a Muslim mayor is able to handle all this in a good manner, why the hell should anything else (including religion) even matter?

What in the world are you trying to say, mate?
the fact that a rocket does not fly into space, gravity pulls it to the ground

OK, I understand your sarcasm-filled bullish tweet. I hope that ADA finds a gravity-free space soon so that the gravity doesn't pull it back to the ground again.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 17, 2019, 07:36:30 PM
It was a good performance by Bangladesh, but you need to be consistent in case you want to get yourself listed among teams such as Australia and India. And right now the top four teams are Australia, India, England and New Zealand. The other teams are far behind these 4, and the gap between them seems to be increasing, especially with the poor form shown by South Africa and Pakistan.

I still think that New Zealand won't be able to make it to the semi-finals. It'll either be Pakistan/West Indies or Bangladesh.

The way Shakib played today's game was impressive. I hope that it doesn't go in waste and Bangalis succeed in upcoming matches and make their way to the semi-finals!

~snip~

Few observation as an outsider.

1. Cricket took a hit in Pakistan when SL team got an attack. Result: local cricket suffered drastically.
2. PCB not taking any step to kick start Domestic cricket, Pakistan is a gold mine for raw talent.
3. Petty politics in Cricket: Everyone wants to play politics here except cricket. Be it cricketer, Journalists, or management. Merits don't matter much for them.
4. Former cricketer doesn't have any say at all. PCB should include likes of Javed Bhai, Wasim Bhai, etc in a loop.

Still, 4 matches left. Anything is possible in cricket.

I hope that in case Pakistan gets out from Tournament then PCB will take the necessary step to cure cricket in ground level not blame game.

I agree with most of your points. However, I think there's a bit more to it than that, such as Pakistani players aren't welcomed in IPL, which is the biggest cricket league of the world where the players get to play with each other and realize their weaknesses. PSL is, of course, nothing if compared with IPL.
