561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 06:43:47 PM
It will always be better to anticipate the worse outcome in order to safeguard oneself from regret and frustrations which could yield to a bigger problem it won't be managed. Well, it is normal to expect for profit but at least be realistic in order to not lose that much as well. Losing $100 to a single bet is worse than 10 different bets for that hundred 'coz at least there would be a bigger chance to not be coming home with nothing. In such way, efficiency with your bets is also concerned all will also be considered, making your gambling journey better in the long run.
which is the thought of "had I knew this game was going to win  I would have used bigger amount of money to wager".
I have never found myself in such condition or situation because any one who gamble often and keep saying that you should know that such person is being driven by greed at least he should take whatever they have won than regret for not doubling their wager.
Have they also thought about the lost maybe if they knew about the winning and go double their wager and later realised that they entirely lost all their money would they have to blame themselves or whom are they going to pour the blame on?
No one to blame other than gambler herself. Being greedy won't put you to a better place i  most instances especially with gambling wherein it depends on your luck either you lose or win. Let's say you doubled your wager 'coz of clear odds but the underdog managed to comeback and then no ball is being missed(perhaps with nba gambling). Blaming other people won't make things better but will just push a gambler to be nothing.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 03, 2024, 05:45:10 PM
It'll only be a positive thing to the player if it turn out to he a winning bet otherwise it will be regret. Actually, it is also applicable with investments wherein people tend to push their luck whenever they are not having assurance of the possible outcome. Things are fun and all until someone's bankroll is destroyed. Most of the time omit will be better to gambling safely and with proper wager management. It's a normal response imagine betting your whole monthly allowance and happened to make it atleast x2; of course you will be happy. However if you happen to lose it then you'd be having one month drinking of water to survive. It is just a way for us to compensate things especially those which are against our content.
We all know that gambling sometimes can be fun and something not, even if we  blatantly claim here that we do gamble alone for the fun purpose 🙄🙄. Truth be told majority of person actually gamble because of the possibility that they can earn some profits from the act and as we all know it , not all the time the end result is what we expected. Although am not an addicted gambler but I can say I do my fair share of gambling activities sometimes and what I have observed is that sometimes I actually make some hard calls that turn out to be fruitful when ever am tenced but the results may differ for different individuals though.

So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.

I keep following other people sport bets when I am under pressure and I am losing money, sometimes they pay off as I won sometimes enough of amount to be back on track to continue my gambling session,to start again playing other games. That is all I do as when the tension goes up I am losing money and I don't see any other way to recover money other than to copy other people bets.I usually copy bets that play at night time in Europe which are American events of Basketball,Baseball and NFL and I go to sleep dreaming to have won big out from these bets yet almost every morning is the same disappointment,as I have never won huge doing this  Grin.
Copying other's bet depends on you as an individual; if you happened to not care about the experience they you might probably doing so and consider checking the gambler you are about to copy. But if it is not profit alone you are after, I suggest placing your own bet 'coz no one is having certainty here; either you lose or win. Be sure to atleast enjoy it.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: January 02, 2024, 08:18:24 PM
I just wish to see people view about single bet and accumulated bet. Which one do you till can be profitable when it comes to gambling. Although I normally do the two but in most cases I prefer accumulated bet to single bet.
I think it depends on personal option. Because single bet is less riskier compared to multiple. In multiple its just like predicting the impossible. Or you can say that the percentage is %50 50 in single bet. why multiple is %80 20 which is almost impossible to win or more difficult to predict.
Both has its own risk and the amount of possible loss could still be managed by the amount you will be betting. Accumulated bets is harder to win but will give you bigger returns using small capital. With single bets you may lessen the risk of losing due to low odds, but cannot expect big in return if you won't be putting big amount in your bet. On my end, accumulated betting is a better option; risk is higher but you won't have to lose that much unlike with single bet that you will be needing to increase its size to get a desired return amount. If you know the sports you are betting for, then bigger odds would still possible to be reached. It is lower odds which is more fearsome to go all out with.
Single bet always had the high probability of winning but it will require you to stake very high since there odds are usually small sometimes if you don't have enough cash in your balance you will stake and have very little cash out that's why you need to combine multiple bets to at least boost your odds to have a good pay out, what I noticed again is that having small odd doesn't really matter what counts is consistency inasmuch as you have a small odd you can keep gambling go increase your balance but sometimes it doesn't work that way we may plan it.
Nothing works consistently in gambling. Let's say you won 9/10 matches with single bets and your total earning is $200 from a capital of the same amount on each bet (just an example). Now given that profit won't be big with small odd single bet, the winnings could be erased with one single losing bet. High rolling amount and low rate of return and this is the opposite of accumulated bet wherein you could lose $200 on 9 bets but earning more with a in a parlay bet due to odd multiplier.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale betting system on: January 02, 2024, 03:18:46 PM
Not a system but mote of a strategy. Definition is correct and personally I won't recommend this even if you have a large bankroll, and if you are into casino games or pure luck games. The purpose of this strategy is indeed good which is to regain your loss from previous bet however, how sure are you that you'd win the next bet wherein amount is doubled from the previous one? Given that there's no such thing as certainty of the outcome then you are just pushing your luck too much. Double it up 'til you have nothing left in your bankroll. Better to focus on managing your wager and the amount you could engage in one sitting to assure that no regrets will be there even if you end up badly for that day. Profit will just follow because of efficiency on bankroll management.
Doesn't matter what "betting system" or strategy you use. The casino always has an edge, so in the long run, you will end up being defeated by the house. Same goes for martingale strategy. In paper, it might sound like it is a fool proof strategy, but it isn't. There are still risks. The higher your losing streak is, the more you will be risking. You won't even notice how you get wiped out within few seconds. You can say martingale strategy is risk free only if you have an infinite balance, but if you have infinite money, why would you want to be gambling using strategies? You could just throw money away. Strategies will help you control your losses, but it won't help you beat the casino.
You can beat the casino by just playing and if you won that is over your capital, then you can just leave the casino for good and this is the only way for you to beat the house. Strategies will work in sports betting but in a game like slots, I believe its useless and even if martingale claims to be a good one, in reality its not and you are just increasing the risk of losing everything. Don't be greedy and just bet slowly but surely, its more fun to gamble without rushing things.
You will never beat the casino if you will force pushing through unless you are lucky and that doesn't come on a daily basis. Even with lotteries; people are betting for years consistently but not all bettors are hitting the jackpot. You are not betting against the casino but your fortune; not all casinos are rigged. We just tend to think that casinos are literally winning over us but it is our luck who is often absent which results to loss.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inflation and crypto gambling on: January 01, 2024, 08:45:49 PM
It makes sense to think in such way but I doubt they are increasing the minimum bet without us noticing it. First of all, lotteries to where this is coming from, are mostly registered which is why they are affected the most with inflation due to the taxes it is paying to the government. Landbased casinos and online gambling platform will be least to be affected and if ever, they would be more likely increasing their cut in every withdraw and deposit, and not with every bet. But with cryptocurrency based or web 3.0 platforms, it won't be affected no other than fees across different chains but still not with every bet of a gambler. These platforms are having diferent affiliation with how inflation works dor this industry.

But now I noticed something interesting. In my country Greece, the most popular and most participated lottery, which is also a legal monopoly, recently raised its ticket price to 1€, which is effectively a 100% increase from the previous minimum 1 ticket price of 0.5€.

I wonder if this is something that is happening in other countries also.
Perhaps crypto casinos have also slowly been raising their minimum bets without us noticing that much? What do you think?

If they cannot keep up with the cost they can increase the price, the lottery is one of the cheapest games with the highest return so gamblers will still buy tickets because they are long-time bettors or they want to keep their dreams of hitting the jackpot.
That's the lure of betting in a lottery, you have a chance to turn your dreams into reality once you hit the jackpot, so if there is an increase in the price and they can still afford it they will keep buying these tickets.
Lotteries just cannot increase the limit of playing behavior of gamblers. But if that's the case for sure people in this industry and outside gamblers would be fine 'coz there will always be that drive to bet.The same as with vices of us which happened to be close of getting  double its price last year. Same thing goes around in gambling in particular with rewards.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich, average or poor. Who loses more? on: January 01, 2024, 08:00:59 PM
Well logically, rich individuals should lose more if by comparison with poor gamblers however on the same sense, rich gamblers has a bigger bankroll which serves as their fuel to play more end up getting back with their losses unlike with poor gamblers that once they lose, its over for their bankroll and that they need to wait for the next time they will have money to again play.Same thing goes with investment and the underlying idea that Rich ones are getting more rich. Is it a disadvantage? There's no such thing as advantage or disadvantage; let's say rich gamblers will be able to bet more, what if they continue losing because of unfortune? We are all just taking the risk; the one who manages the bet and bankroll better would have the edge to come out from the 'table' with profit in his bag/wallet.

Exactly! It doesn't matter if you're high or low on the social ladder, when it comes to gambling, it's all about your game plan. If someone's going all out without thinking, no matter their social status, they're bound to lose big. But if you're smart about it, keep a lid on your spending, and play it cool, you're more likely to come out on the winning side. So, whether you're a high roller or just playing for fun, staying in control is the name of the game.

Nah, Bankroll can make a huge impact on your game because you can play more that can give you chance to win more or recover your losses unlike low bankroll which you can easily bust with just a few lose streak.

Besides poor people usually play like their life depends on their bet that’s why they can’t think clearly unlike rich people that is just playing like a normal game no string attach. Rich people loses more but they can win more unlike poor people that has a small potential on winning huge due to their limited bankroll.
Against with not being able clearly; indeed poor gamblers are putting their faith in the bets but in the same sense, they are putting more time with it because they often only have 'one shot' in each of their gambling or betting instance.

Quite gives the same energy as with the topic recently about buying more tickets to have higher chances of winning the lottery. Rich gamblers has 'more ammo' but that won't guarantee victory still. Increasing the chance don't mean being certain of victory.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your New Year's resolution? on: January 01, 2024, 07:18:35 PM
A devotion for a fresh start this year in gambling? On my end I want to work more with my control of bankroll and bets. There are still times wherein I am tempted to increase the size of my bet than the usual and with consistency to generate bigger profit. I want to reconstruct mu thoughts of betting higher because of gut feel since nothing's assured with matches and games. You'd only win if you are lucky enough for that day or win against a handicup to others as well.We could endlessly wish for a great win but for sure nothing will lead us there aside from proper discipline. If you'd be easily affected by your emotions to go all out, then that's a bad thing to start your engagement with gambling; a game you won't win easily even if you pray for it to come. For sure we all have our own resolutions since we are all hyped with the year has moved to another page of it and our superstitions are just going akong with that hype.

To all things we heard resolutions; to be on a diet, get a job, save money and more. But not all prayers only need prayers; some needs to be acted upon.No matter what wish your are having for this young year, if you won't have enough self discipline then nothing good will happen to it. Be consistent and take things slowly to avoid being overwhelmed and worried if it.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 06:46:54 PM
Nope, there are no experts here 'coz if there are then they won't need to be validated by other gamblers or to filfill themselves with their ego through various interaction and most of them are to conform. If there are people who are really into this 'offering' help to those who are in loss. Experts don't need recognition from ither gamblers; they'll just continue what they are doing sinply because they don't need money from teaching the new ones. Well yes experts if they exist will still suffer from loss but they should be expert enough to handle the situation and not to sell reading materials to 'teach'. I know gamblers in this industry who are already here for years but they know to themselves that they are 'no expert' in this industry. Reason? You won't be able to defy luck and fortune 'coz if it is to you, then it will just happen.
The thing about gambling - nothing is ever really a sure thing.  I mean, yeah, some people might have systems or tricks that seem to work pretty well for them.  But at the end of the day, it's still gambling and  the house always has an edge built in its favor.  So even if your buddy with the thick glasses and calculator watch tells you he has a guaranteed strategy take it with a huge grain of salt.  Could you win a few times following his plan? Maybe.  But nobody ever beats casino in the long run.  The risks are always going to be there right alongside the rewards.

Nothing works consistently in gambling. I would more believe if the expert will promote experties with managing the bankroll of a player, which is more specific than with promoting strategies which are also not working for a long period of time and with consistency as I have mentioned earlier. Some will give you advices but if we dig it, why will they need to do it anyway.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 01, 2024, 06:13:29 PM
It depends on the casino operator; but not something I would recommend doing unless entirely necessary.
Although unlikely, they could always use it against you if you hit a Jackpot.
Then you would be out of luck.
When in doubt, skip; the rule I follow in gambling industry. If you are worried of possible sanctions from doing so then what's the need to do so? If you are too eager and there's signal on your network provider then why not sue cellular data then? And if you have access to your cellular data then obviously it will just be better to not gamble at all in public given that IP is being concerned here. Go home and play or avoid gambling and just mind your thing on why you are outside in the first place. Also, not all gambling sites have such restriction so you may still engage with other reputable ones, just if you have a strong reason to bet by that time.
VPN protects against some of those things, Im surprised it was possible to connect to gamble via a shared IP.  Normally they restrict all kinds of sites that would be considered 18+ like a gambling site is included in that broad category.   As said its not too safe to use a public computer or a publicly shared connection, for alot of things its ok but if you gamble with a large balance its something I would avoid also just in case.   Keyloggers are sometimes installed on public computers and that kind of thing is something that has to be considered, dont use any big balance account is probably for the best as a precaution.

It was the rarest part of the gambler who used the public Wi-Fi to play the game.Because using the public Wi-Fi won’t be the better option for the normal people, their was huge possibilities for the people personal data and photos can be hacked by the user who provide the personal data.So if the gambler use the Public or free Wi-Fi will loss their personal details like password of the many important site. This may also occur,if we have the ability to accept the cookies send by the hacker while using the gambling site. The password of the gambling site also may leads to the gamblers to loss the huge money in the gambling site wallets. So better to use your own Wi-Fi or personal data.
In my area, public wifis are the worst given that there are many people connected into it simultaneously, you can't expect for a fast internet connection. It could even start a problem with your bet in particular with sudden lag interferences; imagine losing and not even satisfied with your gambling experience due to inconsistencies with your internet connection. There will always be option for us we are really into betting a particular game or sport.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 01, 2024, 05:31:04 PM

My question is :
Do you know the status of your health while gambling and what do you do if you happen to suffer a mild or hard stroke?

This is why I make it a point to open my messenger and have my loved one that I can contact in case, whenever I'm playing alone.

There are just instances which are being associated with gambling and one's health but I view it as two different aspects of an individual. A non-gambler could be prone to stroke, heart attack, and ither health problem. There are gamblers who are fine with their health and this simply breaks the correlation. Gambling indeed gives us the thrill we are seeking for but it shouldn't be linked to one's overall health condition. Depends still in our lifestyle and genetics which for sure most of us vary.

What to do? Things won't happen without a sign in most instances; better have a monthly check up of your health if you are too concerned of it. If you are having a feeling that there's something wrong with your body, then never hesitate to have it checked. If it is money you are worried of, then why are you gambling in the first place? Let's be real. The things we do on a normal basis will always have an effect to our wellness as an individual and that includes our health. Things won't happen in a single night therefore there would be seasonal and periodic attacks which should be enough to alert you and send a message that you have to make changes into your lifestyle.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there long-term profitable sports bettors? on: January 01, 2024, 02:34:52 PM
Well yes. Not to brag but I can count myself as one of them but not earning as much as with big bettors. However, likewise with majority of gamblers, I suffered from loss on my early months in sports betting and a year and half with casino games. It was only lately when I realized that managing my bankroll would be better for a long run than to always seek for that jackpot win. I've said it before; chasing big wins will leave you with loss in the long run. Imagine winning 1/100betting sessions which won't be consistent and could take longer; you'll just be frustrated along the way which is the thing we should avoid as gamblers. Sports betting is different and is a better category in this industry 'coz analysis would change the odds of winning and losing unlike with pure luck gambling games, not to mention mor entertaining as well.
I haven't seen one in all my years that are profitable with their gambling habits so I wouldn't say that they're a lot of people but I can definitely see long-term players that have been in the sportsbetting game for a long time because they've profited out of that, what @Oshosondy said is a logical reason behind the reason why we are asking these questions, it's because they're so few in between that we haven't met one so we conclude they don't exist and the system of how gambling works is that the house wins more than the gamblers.
There would really be a total mixed up on which we know that this market is really that composed by those losers and winners. There's no way that you could be able to determine on whose are
long time profitable gambler and whose really just that a total loser whose really that continuing on spending his money on doing gambling. This is why it is really that hard to tell on whose the one
is really that making money aside from seeing those stats but we know that it could be hidden or private but we do know that house itself does know on whose those players that they are making
money despite of having  those loses along the way. Just like been mentioned that they could be potentially be locked on their accounts because businesses like these
doesnt really like to those people who do keep on winning or simply just being profitable.
Only the gambler himself/herself would know if he's in 'gains' or loss. Also, not because you are profitable means you are winning most of the time; no consistency there is in gambling. No matter what gambling category we are spending our times with, luck will not always in accordance with our will and bets. It is no longer between the times you are winning over times you are losing but the ratio of your winnings and losses.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is better, parlay or teaser bet? on: January 01, 2024, 01:28:03 PM
Better is to do parlay betting. Teaser betting would indeed lessen the risk but will stress you out checking and changing then end up getting small reward. Risk in parlay betting could still be lessen tho not guarantee winning still. You may base on previous player/athlete/team stats on seasonal and individual match ups. I don't know but when I've experienced parlay betting, I am hooked up into it especially in NBA league games. The trick (again, does not make winning certain) is to create an achievable odds with a decent amount of bet. First mistakes I've committed is targeting high odds in order to multiply my bet as much as possible and not considering how hard will it be. Have experienced also hitting 7/8 parlay bets which is really disappointing 'coz it would be a loss already. Always manage the risk; it is normal to seek profit but to do things slowly would be best.

But I agree, depends still on the game you are about to engage, which one would work well. Risk tolerance should also be considered; I have a friend who tend to bet mid game even if odds aren't ideal 'coz he seeks assurance. It is also an effective approach in sports betting and works well as long as you know your edge in the game.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: December 31, 2023, 09:09:50 PM
Gamblers having bad images is a normal thing. One reason is societal expectations and religious beliefs on gambling itself. However, the activities that we engage ourselves into, is quite perceived by other people as who you are and we just cannot do anything about it. Just keep on betting especially if you know to yourself that you are not being impulsive of your bets and consequences of it.
Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.
I don't think the societal perception improved just because of testimonies from gamblers about their life-changing wins or because gambling has become one of the biggest industry. what I think helped improve people's perception about gamblers a lot is that we know more about the mentl issues gamblers can experience, their struggles, how can it happen, etc...
I guess it will never be one sided to every situation. Perhaps you win in a gambling casino huge amount of money. Other people have higher tendency to be jelous than be afraid of what happened. People who are in doubt of gambling in general are also making valid points but not that all. There are just people who really supports the entertainment behind gambling and betting. And to those who are neutral and against of how gambling works, no hate comments still. The only problem is is more communication and honesty ofcourse gambling. Unless they see it for themselves, then they would continue wondering what it is.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 31, 2023, 07:38:01 PM
To me, this isn't an issue that should've been cryptocurrency problem because I do think that this is an individual issue about that individual's faith because I do believe that's how it should be dealt with, remember that a man of faith that sins isn't really a man of faith in the first place so they'll be doing any way they can gamble even without cryptocurrency, it just happens that cryptocurrency is here so they're doing that and making crypto as a scapegoat for their own sins.
Quite confusing with scapegoat of their sins. Indeed we do all have different beliefs especially when it comes on our religions. In most religions, gambling is prohibited and that's it. Most of us here has religion but why are we still here? We have that drive to earn money even if it would be against our religion; that's how frustrating life is to many people. However, we have our own reasons on why we are still gambling against our religious beliefs and that simply explains why monetary things should be separated from our beliefs.
In the Islamic concept, gambling is haram, it is not stated in detail that it is haram when you use fiat money but it is allowed with crypto. The law still applies whether using fiat or crypto, the wishes of each individual who continues to gamble is their own business. When you find the fact that gambling is against religion but continue to do it, it becomes a matter between you and your god. It needs to be underlined, not all Muslims adhere to the teachings of their religion. They will continue to gamble even though their religion prohibits it.

How can you say that gambling becomes legal with you use Crypto and it becomes illegal when we use the fiat money? I guess it should be legal or illegal regardless of which medium of currency you use to gamble.

I think this topic has been touched on many times in the past and it is obvious that in the religions where it is not allowed, the people of that religion should not be playing gambling and be restricted towards it. But still if they play, no one can stop them as it is a religious belief and it shows how much a person is near to the God and how much spirituality exists in the person.
Legality and restriction are different from one another. If something is legal then that is honored by the government. When something is prohibited then it could be belief or by consent of particular group and does not involve regulation and restriction on government's end, in most instances.Gambling is known to not be supported by religious beliefs therefore this shouldn't be an issue to us who are here.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The frustrations in loosing a huge bet when your winning was so assured. on: December 31, 2023, 03:28:00 PM
Nothing's guaranteed in gambling; why will it even be called a "gamble" if you have 100% assurance of the outcome? Basically we are all just betting on our fortune and luck. We could only increase our odds of winning but we cannot be certain of it. Obviously this should be a warning to never go all out with a single bet or even within a period of time; always manage your bankroll. Risk will always be present so at least anticipate the worst outcome and be careful of the amount you are about to bet; it should be within your loss tolerance. Reason? If you win, then you might have regrets of not increasing the amount but still with gains however if you lose, then you're just in regrets of betting that much. Safeguard yourself from disappointments. It will always better to earn a few amount than to lose it big time.
To those who considers making profits a priority in gambling, I have come to observe that it is much more frustrating when you looses your game at when the game was almost over and you were on the safer side (winning) and just a few minute or seconds before the game is over it ended up at your lost.
I come to understand that it is more worrisome when the sure winning opportunities was so huge and got lost lately closed to the end time of the game.
That is gambling for you. You are talking about sport betting where this often occur. Do not also forget that a match might not be favoring you but in just some seconds to go or after like 3 to 5 minutes extra time was given, then the match favours you and you won the bet. That is gambling for you. You can not yet be certain sometimes that you have won a match or not until the game has ended. That is why it is good not to watch the match until it has ended just not to panic so much.

Infact you've given the antidote that can kill your worries and panic when you bet on a match, I believe that it's best not to watch that match and accept whatever the outcome is, favorable or not. Because if you're watching a match that you bet on, you'll be so emotionally attached and very much anxious, you can not even be able to enjoy the match because any move against your bet can trigger a negative reaction on you. This is why it's very helpful to bet the amount that you can afford to loose, so even if you decide to go ahead to watch the match, you wouldn't be too bothered if the match is going against your bet, but it's highly advisable to not watch a match that a you bet a lot of money on to reduce panic and anxiety..
Things are not the same to every gambler. On my end I still watch the game whether I lose or I win.Simply depends on your mindset as a gambler; I am using betting to add more thrill to my watching experience as a bonus. This is something you'll only achieve if you manage your bankroll well. But still, won't be applicable to all gamblers and all gambling games especially those who are into casino gambling. We also have our own perception on how we will gamble; we are all living under different circumstances in the first place.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Too Broke To Own Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2023, 07:48:06 PM
The key here is proper allocation of your money. No one's too broke, we just expect too much from ourselves. There are potential investors who are avoidant because the market price of Bitcoin is so high right now. But the catch here is that nothing requires us to own 1 Bitcoin in an instant. We are free to do partial investments of it little by little, just an amount you won't need in times of emergency. Problem is that we are giving or putting everything to it which makes our pockets 'thinner' than the usual. The difference of only investing an amount you can really afford (afford means you can just let something for years without worrying about it), than forcing things out. First and foremost we have circumstances to deal with. Many investors are pushed to edge of selling early because of situational issues on their end and circumstances along the way while holding. This is where investors are suffering from loss which we should avoid in the first place as much as possible.
Before investing into Bitcoin, you have to firstly have a source of income, because if you don't do that and depends sorely on the dividend on your Bitcoin investment, you will surely eat up your Bitcoin investment bit by bit till it's been exhausted.
So my brother you need a source of income first before thinking of investing in Bitcoin.
Not only just a source of income but something stable and consistent for you to have enough 'margin' to engage with investments and to eventually develop additional income. Struggles will always be a part of each of our journeys especially if it is something rewarding. No other choice but to move forward and adapt with those struggling times to earn reward after things ease down.

More Lottery tickets means bigger chances of winning, but does not guarantee winning; odds is simply you against all bettors. Let's say you managed to buy 10% of the bets by that time. It is still a small percentage and you could still lose on the 80% and not to mention that this percentage does not cover all number combinations, which simply means it is nonsense if you are trying to secure a jackpot win. However it won't change the fact that you will have higher percentage than with using a single ticket alone.
Nah, even if we calculate the probability of the given lottery, it's still hard to increase the chances of winning unless you are pretty rich to afford many tickets plus the hassle of writing down all of the numbers you have used. Well, there's no harm if we try to increase the number of tickets just consider it an investment as you have still a chance to win millions. I have no luck in the lottery I've been buying for years already but I found myself more profit in scratch-it cards, that's where I bought 10 pieces for fun, I won like $20 by just simply scratching.
Betting on all probability number combinations will leave you still with huge loss even if you hit the jackpot. There are numerous number combination and try multiplying it to the amount you use on betting ticket. House always win in Lotteries; there won't always be a winner daily and that means every time no one wins the jackpot, they will just increase the reward pool but profit is still bigger on their end. If you are aiming for a one shot, one kill policy, then that's something impossible with lotteries or betting in general, IF you will be caught.

In reality, who really needs to adjust? We cannot discredit anyone if they are celebrating their winnings simply because they 'worked' hard for it and like all of us they once suffered from loss, which I think why we shouldn't take it negatively. If you are envious of them, you are the one who should adjust; continue playing 'til you win or just quit already to lessen your expectations to yourself. Everyone is having their own battles and if it is our insecurities we would imply to other people then we would be wrong for it. The only danger I see of announcing one's winnings is the risk of getting robbed by bad people. It would be looking like you are inviting them to get your money from you, unconsciously and unintentionally.
I don't think that sharing your success story should be taken like that by those who are struggling because of their habits. It is not your problem if they are in debt because of gambling. And don't let others cut your fun and happiness to share what you have achieved, you can share it to anybody as you wish and you're not going to let them cargo their burdens upon you when you're just there to share what you have won and the amount you profit. But anyway, it is to each their own and if OP thinks that it's not right to share it like that when you have no idea what others are dealing with, it's just best to keep yourself lowkey.
Indeed will not be the winner's problem. It is not being insensitive, the ones who are taking it negatively, does. For sure we know to ourselves that upon entering this industry, luck won't be equal to all of us and that there'll be times fortune would be hard to most of us. If you did not have this mindset then you are wrong in the first place. It also depends on how the message is delivered and how it is being received; always a two way interaction I guess.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: December 30, 2023, 11:23:19 AM
Simply 'coz of the idea that some people are actually winning. Many gamblers are hoping for their 'turn' of winning in betting. Also nothing's consistent; you will sometimes win even with small amounts but it has a psychological effect to the gambler. Even with the smallest frequency of winning, it could push a gambler to have that expectation of 'almost there' which also pushes them to continue. There are also many gambling games we could choose from and that simply gives option to players to continue betting. There are also instances wherein a gambler is no longer aware of his losses and just hooked with the time his gambling habits are consuming and taking over on his daily life. And there are also a few who just enjoys the experience and thrill of betting. We just have our own reasons of why we are doing something despite of negative experiences and outcomes.
I always hear stories of friends who always lose playing online gambling. I don't know what his purpose to tell his story to me. even it's clear, his story makes him look stupid.

Besides that, in another place, Many young people around to me still play slot gambling even don't have a job and always lose. I wonder where they get the money for deposits? and why they repeat that?. I don't know what the reason reason that doesn't bother them, they should have given up, and changed the game that makes them profitable. if I always lose in the game, I will change the type of game, example If I always lose on a slot, I will change the type of game like sports betting until my capital is back and try the luck again to the slot.

Surely they try different gambling strategies in the hope of starting to win, or maybe it’s just a chaotic game for them, but if they lose constantly, then it’s hardly done for fun, I doubt that anyone would like to lose constantly. If you believe the statistics, most players lose more than they win, but at the same time they do not stop playing. I play less now than before, simply because I don’t have enough time for it, perhaps when they have more responsibilities and less free time, everything will change.
Strategies only work in some games but still does not promote certainty or does not still guarantee winning. Some wins due to martingale and such, are mere coincidence which is why it is not always working to every gambler. But this topic really rings curiosity of why we are still here even if we are often losing. And in my case, I am enjoying things. In the first place I am just losing an amount I can tolerate 'coz I focused with managing my bankroll, same reason why I am still consistently gambling 'til now.

the main thing before marriage is to have an income. without income whatever is done about the motivation for financial management will not work.
because there is no money to manage, because there is no income at all.
parents must have given a good education from school to college. so then the matter of work and financial management must go alone because they are adults.
marriage is not about love, but marriage needs a life to feed his wife and children.
This is quite true and not at all wrong, because what I have experienced and have been living since I got married in early 2018 is a quite real fact that every person must have an income before entering marriage. Because the families of the bride and groom only provide a little help, the rest we have to do ourselves, even though their families are rich, but we still have to work on our own income. How to manage finances is actually not complicated if there is money to manage and everyone can immediately learn when they have full responsibility for their own household.
No matter how we fantasize not involing financial capabilities with marriage, it will always be a factor. Things would change once you build up your own family and that also includes calibrating your financial responsibilities; if you don't have that much of money then problem may arise. Love alone can build a family but won't sustain it in a long run; we have to be practical of how we would handle things before entering this phase of our lives. Inagine having no enough money; daily needs wil be a problem, most of the time stressed of the bills, not being able to give your child the life you want he/she live in the futurec, etc. Courtship is different from marriage; never too confident of how things would go after marriage so better be prepared.
Even though many people say that getting married doesn't require a lot of money to make the family happy, for me we need to prepare better financially because when we are married there are many things that need to be prepared. But furthermore, couples must also accept the process of seeking wealth because it is impossible for us to reach the stage of wealth in an instant way. When support from our partner is there, we can work together to reach a much better level of wealth and if our partner is able to save on expenses while we are still struggling it will be much better.

I struggled with my partner to reach the stage of financial freedom and this support made me even more enthusiastic about seeking fortune. Spouses also have an important role in reaching the stage of financial freedom because their support means a lot to us.
Little disagree with some people opinion when marriage will get many source income in the future, we need prepare all thing before marriage and most important with stable financial and have good work before building serious relationship as marriage.  Every day have many unpredictable need and we must spent money exactly after marriage and have children, before building serious relationship or have family prepare saving, good financial set up until good work with enough salary payment for daily needed when having family.

Good educate for every one before marriage build up good financial and have much saving because if you face difficult with income when marriage I doubt how long your marriage relation will existing.
While we're still young we should already be futuristic of things; saving, buying necessary things from the store, engaging to investments and assets. Most of the people have lived quite of a sustaining life but sustaining won't be enough, then it should reflect your readiness of marriage.
