561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ▉ANN▉ MTNC ▉▉▉▉░ Masternodecoin ░▉▉▉ Privacy Center & Masternode Economy on: January 09, 2018, 02:01:21 AM
A suggestion would also be to re-design the website, the current one just dosnt represent profesional graphics, this crypto game has become 90% a question of branding... and the name masternodecoin is perfect for it, POS/dark send with a name that all the hype is about currently (masternodes)

Looking at magnetwork.io that is about the design we should be aiming for, and such a website would easily add a few 100% in credibility to its coin name automatically...

A design like that costs about $800 tops, so nothing out of reach. Just a suggestion but one that should get some serious consideration if the coin plans to stay around and gain in new users and volume.

I agree, due to the proliferation od thousands of coins the competition is not any more just technical, but also symbolical - which means marketing and branding and creating an image for a coin which stands out from the mass of the other coins. Website is an important aspect in this, but is not the only one.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ETHLend - Decentralized Lending - The Big Bounty Program on: January 09, 2018, 01:11:41 AM
UPDATE ON BOUNTY DISTRIBUTION AND FINAL SPREADSHEET

I will know the distribution timeline this week and once I have it I will announce it here and also through our blog. The final spreadsheet will be made available also at the same time.

Distribution will begin this month.

That's good news! Given LEND's value I guess this is probably the one of the most exciting bounty programs of the year. The title of this thread "The Big Bounty Program" couldn't have been more appropriate!
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: January 08, 2018, 02:00:13 PM
guys, this is good coin but we have to keep in mind that there are competitors like kyber, 0x, airswap etc that's why everything can happen, though I hope for a sustainable growth too  Smiley

I am afraid that if you consider kyber, 0x, airswap to be competitors of bancor you may have not understood how Bancor really works. I'd recommend you to read the Bancor whitepaper.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: January 08, 2018, 01:54:45 PM
Substratum looks like they are going to deliver. I'm getting very worried about Maidsafe now...

Well, there are people who would disagree, there is an entire thread dedicated to the suspect that Substratum may just be a scam:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2100308.40

Where lies the truth?

I start to suspect the same. Gave a quick look at it, they were created as an ICO (first red flag) and just in last Summer (second red flag), and they want to do something MAID has failed to do in 10 years. Not going to invest. With these kind of overly ambitious projects the best bet is to invest when they have delivered the minimum viable product and proven to the world that they can actually pull this off.

Exactly. MAID at least is really working on its project and is releasing regular technical statements about their progress - why by the way are far too slow for the standards of the cryptospace - but that's another matter. Substratum looks like a parody of this all, big red flags.

566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ETHLend - Decentralized Lending - The Big Bounty Program on: January 07, 2018, 12:14:13 AM
The bounty manager said that the bounties will be distributed sometimes in January - it was a long and complex bounty campaign, they obviously need time to calculate everything properly. Given the rise in price of LEND it will then be a nice surprise for everyone Smiley
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][NRG] Neurogress Official Bounty Campaign [NEW 31 DEC] on: January 06, 2018, 03:47:09 PM
Is there any news about the lenght of the ICO? On the website it is just written that it will start in a few days, but no clues on the lenght of the sale.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Pearl: Why I think It's a Long Term Hold on: January 04, 2018, 05:19:47 PM
When a project has a solid ground and a far reaching vision, and a groundbreaking tech, like Oyster clearly seems to have, there must me no hurry in cashing out early while your investment could make you very rich long term.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY]: 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 Token : The future of online payments is here. on: January 04, 2018, 05:17:08 PM
Participants here must wait. the campaign manager here said that it will be january 14-15 the token per stake will be released though the campaign manager still didn't release a date where the distribution starts for sure it will be soon.
They don't have any patience. Do you know why they are always asking when the distribution will be begin? They want to dump UTK token as soon as they got the token. They don't care what will be happen with UTRUST in the future.

tough to see, but thats peoples own ignorance
this coin will easily grow , just hold and reap the benefits
Though I plan to Hold but not everyone would love to hold as well. Seeing how UTRUST is going higher I think most people plan to hold. Anyways let just wait to see the Final calculation of tokens to be distributed and after that individual can decide to do whatever they want to do with their. Whatever they do is not gonna stop UTRUST successful price going higher.

Every intelligent bounty hunter would hold what they earn - unfortunatelly most of them are weak hand unable to hold anything. As for me I hold 100% of the coins which I earn, but of course it gives you a much nicer sensation to have them and to see them in your own MEW wallet rather than in the hands of someone else, no matter how trustful Smiley
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: January 04, 2018, 05:10:48 PM
Anyone have an idea when you will be able to buy bancor direct from the site using credit/debit card?

This is actually an aspect which devs of coins often forget to consider, while they should. And especially Bancor should look forward to create an interface to FIAT money which would allow the general public to access the world of crypto through them. Especially if you consider that Bancor is the token which long term will rule them all. So it must become the perfect gateway also to FIAT.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 04, 2018, 05:04:19 PM
I have read time ago that the wallet is now supporting the possibility to broadcast names also for user issued assets, but that a system of name registry had still to be developed for that. Any news on the state of developement of this issue?
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PRL] Oyster Pearl predictions on: January 04, 2018, 04:43:59 PM
ALWAYS keep some of everything.

thats the best advice anyone could give you. personally, for every coin i buy i sell one third of it as soon as it triples. that way i get my initial capital back then i can leave the other 2 thirds to moon or drop to zero, whatever happens ill be covered

This is quite a good strategy, generally speaking, sometimes I can force myself to respect that. Other times I just sell 10% after that it has grown 10X, other times the coin gets dumped and I earn nothing or I even lose Cheesy But with Oyster I'm holding 100%.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you think about this ICO? on: January 04, 2018, 03:31:35 PM
I am too a fan of science fiction and such a project is super interesting for me. However, difficult to say if they will manage to deliver such an ambitious product.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][NRG] Neurogress Official Bounty Campaign [NEW 31 DEC] on: January 04, 2018, 03:28:36 PM
The link to the ANN thread in the Opening Page is wrong, it leads to the same bounty thread. This beaing said, could you please provide a link to your ANN thread?
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] P2PS: Economic Value Integrated into Secure Communication System on: January 04, 2018, 03:08:12 PM
P2PS project looks very different from any other one. Until when exactly will the ICO last ? How much has already been raised?

Hello, I am interested in doing the Italian translation of the ANN, if you are interested. How many masternodes are still available, by the way?
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 03, 2018, 07:54:08 PM
Not so long ago, both Stellar Lumens and Byteball were around the same place at Coinmarketcap, around #20 based on market cap. I remember this, because both were airdropped and both had my attention.
At the moment, Stellar is #6, while Byteball is #56. Byteball only has about 33% left to distribute, Stellar has about 83% left, and keeps a very large share for it's own foundation. Stellar is centralized, has very low fees, a high cost per wallet and hence no privacy in using different addresses, and yet, it has a much higher market cap.
While Byteball went up 4-fold in the past 3 months (measured in dollars), stellar went up 70-fold. I can only dream of Byteball following this path, it would mean more than a Bitcoin per GBYTE, or as many prefer: more than 0.001BTC per MBYTE.
Stellar always had a higher 24h trading volume than Byteball, it's now 450 times larger. But Stellar is traded al almost all possible exchanges.

That is an interesting comparison. You have forgotten to mention that Stellar does a hell of a marketing, and Byteball does zero marketing. We live in an age where marketing, alas, is one of the most important factors in the success of a project, because it deals with the PERCEPTION that people have of a product, which in the end is what really matters. We need a marketing division for Byteball.

Marketing might result in quick gains, but if a project has substance backing it, the project will eventually be 'discovered'. Bitcoin didn't do any marketing, but its price exploded eventually. Just think of these initial days as an opportunity to accumulate cheap GB. Once the euphoria around all these pumped coins dies down, byteball will also zoom up.

At the time of Bitcoin there was no other cryptocurrency = zero concurrence for Bitcoin. And still Bitcoin needed years to be recognized as a store of value. Now we have thousands of different coins and their number is growing faster and faster. The brightest gem among cryptos is destined to be rendered invisible in the rising background noise, possibly remaining invisible forever, without an aggressive marketing strategy.
The same happened to science and to literature. 100 years ago nobody could ignore a good book or a good scientific theory if they came out in public. Today, drawned in the background noise you have masterpieces of literature and mind boggling scientific theories which are virtually invisible to human society.

The analysis in the OP of this thread is very exciting, I've got Oyster Pearls with a bounty and it has already skyrocked becoming one of my main assets. I'm going to hodl it forever Smiley

I don't see the link for joining the twitter campaign. All other campaigns have a link, but Twitter apparently not. Why is that?
