5721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: THE BOUNTY SPACE IN THIS CRYPTO PLATFORM IS TOXIC AND UNFAIR on: September 17, 2020, 07:40:58 AM
Also , i will not call out projects but if we can truly find a solution to this unending bounty campaign issues. this space will be fair. i thank the admins here for their hard work in fishing out fake campaigns and branding accounts with fake trusts. it is commendable.
This is is simply nature of the altcoin bounty campaigns, especially those that haven't been listed yet and are in the early phase. Majority of them are pure scams, then there are some that are legit but fail due various reasons etc. The same way investors in those projects risk their money for future profit, bounty hunters do with their time.

What bounty hunters can do is to be more picky when joining bounty campaign and do their own due diligence, but majority of them don't really care about that. They simply join just about anything, no matter what it is, and few months later they cry about being scammed.

Good example of that is Bitwings promises smartphone that can mine 2 ETH/month. Ponzi scheme?. They had huge and very popular bounty campaign. No one stopped to think whether this makes any sense. Even when this was exposed as scam, bounty hunters didn't care much. They got upset after Bitwings cut bounty pool by 90%, and then they massively started crying about it in their Telegram group, not caring much about the fact that they promoted scam and possibly got someone to invest their money into this, all they cared is their own pocket. This tells you everything you have to know about an average bounty hunter (there are exceptions to those of course).

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/tether/historical_data/usd?end_date=2020-09-16&start_date=2020-01-01#panel

Thank you all for your applications! I'd like you all to keep an eye out on this thread next week as I may do a bit of a purge, let it be known to all current participants that if you've been putting in low effort and if you're post history is a bit questionable this could be your last week in this campaign. Not too late to change my mind though if you have a good week here.

We are once again CFNP!
5724  Other / Meta / Re: Merit giveaway: is it a good idear? on: September 16, 2020, 02:27:42 PM
In the past I've had a few merit giveaways topics in beginners section in the forum.
I wanted to help newbies to receive their first merits but eventually gave up.
Most of the reported posts from the newbies were of very poor quality, and did not deserve merits.
Yeah I remember your giveaway thread. Turnout was low, and average post quality bad. Beginners&Help section constantly has abundance of giveaway threads while good low rank members that apply in those are rare. Not a good thing, when you think about forum's future.

I am literally feeling like getting targeted, getting accused of having connections with these Altcoins and other negative aspects.
I just wanted to spread some help to new members. It kinda fucked my own for doing good.
This is just forum being forum. People will share suspicions, decisions will be questioned etc, and not just for you, but any member. You didn't break any forum rules, so no reason to take criticism hard.
5725  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: --WARNING-- CryptoChrome.org is Scam! on: September 16, 2020, 10:32:10 AM
Yes, you are right. Maybe this is an extra topic. But for now, your topic is the only topic that written about them. Since you only wrote about the Whitepaper, we thought it would be better to add a new topic and write about all the scam documents (team, token, and legal loopholes).
You are of course free to make your own topic, but I just wanted to point out that it is pretty much standard practice here to use an existing topic if you find some new evidence. That happens quite often here as sometimes you miss some detail and then others chip in with new findings/evidence and share it in the same topic. Makes sense when you think about it, no point making new topic each time someone finds something new.

This was just a suggestion about standard practice here as I see that you are new here, and if you plan to be active in scam accusation board.

Quote
Despite the mounting pressure from central banks and governments alike, the Tether printer is running wild as demand for the stablecoin seems to be growing exponentially. 5 Billion USDT were minted in the last 2 weeks alone. That’s approximately half the previous market cap, or an increase of 50% of the supply. USDT is the largest US Dollar with approximately $15 Billion in circulation

5728  Other / Meta / Re: What is exactly the functionality of "Report to moderator"? on: September 16, 2020, 07:21:31 AM
Does anyone have any idea how this can happen?

Is it possible that the mod which analyzed this particular post by mistake flagged it as bad instead of good, considering that the post was deleted after the report and that it appears now with strikethrough font Huh
I've seen things like that happening in my report history too. Sometimes it was the opposite thing, report was marked good, but post not deleted. To be honest, I wanted to ask about that before, but then somehow I forgot. Eventually I stopped noticing those little "glitches" or whatever you want to call them.

I think that you might be right that it's simply a mistake. Afaik, posts are deleted manually so I wouldn't be surprised if mods make a mistake once in a while, marking reports wrong or not deleting posts that they planned to delete. Especially considering the amount of reports they review each day.
5729  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [LIST] DeFi-Scams - Big All-In-One-Thread on: September 15, 2020, 06:14:30 PM
It's a good idea to have all of them in one place, good job @bullrun2020bro! Be ready to update that list quite often as those scams are getting on popularity each day and it doesn't look like it will pass anytime soon.

One would think that people learned something from ICO bubble, but as we can see situation is even worse as scams without whitepaper, team and any original idea are raising millions. Back then some of those ICOs at least have appearance of legitimacy while this is on a completely different level.
5730  Economy / Speculation / Re: at 100K will Normington, NPC's, the masses, etc fomo and bail in? on: September 15, 2020, 02:00:19 PM
The normie money has bailed in, and then back out again after the masses learned how useless bitcoin is. We're in a 4 year downtrend with no signs of stopping. You're describing a fantasy.
I don't think that masses care much whether bitcoin is useful or not not, what they want is chance for making quick buck and they will fomo in once we reach new ATH and break that psychological barrier.

Back in late 2017 bunch of my friends wanted to buy some BTC from me, when price was 15k+. Recently I wanted to sell some, and none of them were interested in buying, as for them its currently "too expensive " but once we reach those previous ATH levels, they will want some and 20k will seem cheap to them. That's how it goes.
5731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Search for merits on: September 15, 2020, 09:35:30 AM
I don't understand why it takes so long for people to realise that merit is something that you earn by contributing to the forum. It is a one way path, it doesn't come to you if all you do is to take from the forum.
When you think about it, it makes perfect sense that members like @Lordrift sees merit that way, since all he was doing since registering on this forum was leeching from it via bounty campaigns, so naturally he sees merit system the same way.

@Lordrift To paraphrase that known quote, ask not what forum can do for you; ask what you can do for the forum, and merit will come! Might sound cheesy, but that's how it goes.
5732  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this cheating? on: September 15, 2020, 09:17:54 AM
How many language do you accep? Can i use Bengali languagefor making video?
The above quoted user have asked in Exchain Video bounty about using Bengali Language in their videos and later submitted two videos. Surprisingly, none of his videos is in Bengali. The videos are in Thai language may be, I'm not sure but they are not in Bengali.
What do you think? Is this user cheating in any way? Why would he ask about Bengali language while he has submited video in other language?
I must admit it is kinda weird to ask about whether bounty campaign accepts one language and then submit videos in a completely different one. Who knows, maybe he is bilingual or he is "asking for a friend".
I am looking  at Exchain bounty campaign rules and  there is no mention whatsoever about accepted or not accepted languages or that you have to be approved in order  submit your videos so I don't see any problem here. If each participant has to be approved prior to submitting, then he just didn't follow the rules and would be rejected, but I don't see that.

We did a full investigation and review of this project. You can find all the evidence at the link below.

https://antidolos.com/cryptochrome-org-rating-and-review
We are well aware of the the fact that Cryptochrome is a scam project, I busted it few weeks ago. Since I see that you also commented in my thread there was no need to open another topic about them, one is perfectly enough. I suggest that you lock this one, and you can share all your findings and evidence in the one I made (as that is pretty much standard practice here).

With that being said, It is good to see websites fighting and exposing scam projects. Keep it up!
5734  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: about sathso nakamoto on: September 14, 2020, 02:45:37 PM
its normal in normal business world and btc is about business and money it has alot do with money, and the bank i use i know who is the CEO and i can contact with my bank team every time 7 days a week:)

If you don't like the fact that we don't know who is behind pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto and you don't like that you can't contact him as you can contact your banker, I suggest that you stick to traditional banking system. But if you want to give it another go, you should realise that when you are holding Bitcoin, you are your own bank and you are responsible for your own money. And I guess that's what scares you.

as im btc customer i have rigths to ask about this product and btc is product its on the markets you can buy and sell so its a product:)
Once again, when you are buying bitcoin, you are not buying it from Satoshi Nakamoto, you are buying it from the person/company that is selling it to you. So if you really want to know who owns that "product", ask their identity.

Another fake announcement thread. Scammer is using same github as the one reported few hours ago by @Lafu. Account could be hacked as I doubt that someone would use clean Member rank account so spread something like this and get banned. Another thing, topic has been locked in order to prevent warning messages so please delete it before someone downloads it.

5736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Ethereum is Booming: Closing in on $1 Billion in Value on: September 14, 2020, 11:46:09 AM
Binance CEO wants more Ethereum-based DeFi projects to join his platform

things like this that CZ is doing will only make bitcoin holders and many other people invest in these DEFI
That is not a surprise, as he is naturally thinking about his own pocket. More people joins his Binance chain, more money for him. That first attempt to overthrown Ethereum failed last year, when some projects even started migrating from Ethereum to BNB, but obviosuly not enough.

I understand that Binance wants to make money, but I think that they should be more selective when listing DeFi projects. Sushiswap is good example, they listed them only fe days after launch, and few days later their main dev made exit scam and SUSHI price naturally plummeted, making people loose a lot of money. Maybe I am looking through rose tinted glasses, but i don't think that Binance was listing just about anything 2 years ago, especially not something like that.

5737  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Stock-to-flow Model - Modeliranje vrijednosti Bitcoina na temelju rijetkosti on: September 14, 2020, 09:10:44 AM

WBA was very good for first 20 minutes or you can say that Leicester entered the game poorly, after that it was foxes all the way.
Yep, WBA fell apart after 20-25 minutes. I know it's only the first game of the season, but I really don't see them staying in the EPL, currently they are weaker than they were when they won the promotion.

Even if they bring Ivanovic, Krovinovic and striker (probably a priority) it won't change much imho, they will probably end up like Norwich. Since their board didn't whant to properly invest in the squad they might as well save those 20+ million euro they spent on Diangana. What they obviously don't understand is that is harder to win a promotion through highly demanding and competitive Championship than it is to avoid EPL relegation.
