At first I was thinking FF plugin, but just to spite the bastards, let's make it a Chrome extension.

Next problem?

I can't dare to use chrome/chromium anymore after Google sold his soul to NSA.  Undecided

I'm back to my old and beloved Firefox wife.

I should have never betrayed her...LOL

It seems that great times are coming.

Specially after that:

583  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Bitmessage - P2P Messaging system based partially on Bitcoin on: June 21, 2013, 08:17:36 AM
I'd like to suggest something:

I guess that Firstbits stuff for Bitcoin addresses that were developed months ago would be a great implementation to Bitmessage as well.

Short bits are easier to remember as an "email address".

Don't you think so?

Here goes the original BTC idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=16217.0

Whoa!

Now it's being invested over 1,604 BTC ~ 180,000 USD, not bad at all!

That's what I call capitalization!

It's an outstanding beggining!

Best of luck for all!
586  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: June 20, 2013, 09:40:51 PM
Without house edge? How can this be true?
1. Zero variance risk for the operator (you play against other players, not against the house).
2. Simple gameplay, which doesn't demands high-end hosting.
3. Growing Bitcoin community and influx of new businesses (potential advertisers).

We just need to find a way to add (fund) some jackpots into it right now so we could make it become +EV for all...  Cool

Would that be too utopic?  Grin

It's a little stressful watching the balance go up and down as people bet.  One guy was around 40 BTC up and looking like he just couldn't lose.  Until:

The short term is ignorable because "The Law of Large Numbers" shall do all the work in the long run...  Cool

Most of the coins are safely offline.  It's hard to know how many to keep available for withdrawal, but I'm erring on the side of caution.  Big winners will no doubt be understanding if it takes a while for me to wake up and refill the hot wallet so they can withdraw.

There's an email address at the bottom of the FAQ page which you can use to arrange a withdrawal ahead of time if it's going to be large.

I'm glad you are a cautious guy!  Wink

BTW, there'd be some equation in order to find the relation of money to be available online.

I guess you will get that relation in the next weeks by calculating some gambler's winning averages.

Very well done.

(...) All investments received go instantly to the site's bankroll and increase the maximum bet size offered to players. (...)

Hello Dooglus!

Very nice announcement!

The investment feature seems to be a nice deal, just as being an Casino shareholder.  Wink

Nevertheless I'd like to know a bit about security:

1) Is 100% of the amount invested always online (hot)?

2) Is some of the % invested secured in cold storage (away from server(s))?

You know, nowadays hackers do everything in order to steal BTC in hot storage.  Undecided

Keep up the good work!

Cheers!
590  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: easy offline transactions - 1 BTC bounty on: June 20, 2013, 06:41:34 AM
Hello guys!

Congratulations for the development of that offline transaction implementation.

I was always worried about the "problem" with BTC's change.

Newbies are more than expected to commit that kind of mistake anytime.

Mea culpa: I've got to admit I lost a few LTC once (as a newbie then...) I was testing the "import privkey" feature in the official litecoin client in the past.

Suggestions: It would be nice if there were multiple Recipient Addresses forms in order to send transactions for more than just one BTC address.

And do not forget the "Transaction History" feature and the "Raw Transaction" generator as similiar to what's available at brainwallet.org.

Gonna follow this thread and count on this development.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers!

I've seen some people reporting that ixquick is better than duckduckgo.  I've tried duckduckgo before and thought the results were so extraordinarily bad that I couldn't use it.

There's also Startpage.com (also provided by Ixquick) where they claim to provide "complete privacy" as mentioned in their words as follows:

"Startpage offers you Web search results from Google in complete privacy!"

"When you search with Startpage, we remove all identifying information from your query and submit it anonymously to Google ourselves. We get the results and return them to you in total privacy."

"Your IP address is never recorded, your visit is not logged, and no tracking cookies are placed on your browser. When it comes to protecting your privacy, Startpage runs the tightest ship on the Internet. Our outstanding privacy policy and thoughtful engineering give you great search results in total anonymity."

Good luck trying...

593  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiLottery.net LiveStreamed Bitcoin Raffles(FreeLightningRaffleTonight9:30) on: June 18, 2013, 01:48:44 AM
Your website looks like it was made in 2001.

LOL  Cheesy

BTW, Nice raffle site.

I'd suggest that you just give prizes for the 1st winner while jackpot is < BTC 1.0

If it's > BTC 1.0 then prizes should also go to 2nd and 3rd...

Is there any plan in turning the lottery provably fair?

Cheers!

PRISM is the ultimate Big Brother around...and when that Utah Yottabyte (YB) Data Base is ready, things are gonna be really bad...  Lips sealed

Dark times are comming... Embarrassed

But what bothers me the most is that Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook etc. don't stand a second against the GOV force.

BTW, I'll post here as well what I've suggested somewhere else:

OPs and MODs:

I'd like to suggest a fixed topic about PRISM surveillance and inside that topic some info like that available at http://prism-break.org/

And freedom for all!
595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone else not care/already knew about NSA/PRISM collecting data. on: June 18, 2013, 12:45:35 AM
Stands for "National Security Agency": a institution developed to oppress american citizens and, in a future not so far, many remaining world citizens as well.

Myeh just want to say, I joined all 4 lotto's so far (not the first ofc - and after second just anon :p) but I will not join with 0.1 xD ofc 2 different ones might be a possibility (or only for the future.)
Forgot to say: that's just a suggestion for when the website is already done.

That's it!  Wink

nice concept ! but 1 BTC is too much for the looser in your case need to be adjusted

The 1 BTC jackpot prize is just an example of a progressive accumulated prize that will be funded with some % of every additional purchase, so its funding is going to be distributed for various gamblers, not to only one "loser" in particular.

Well, that's just a Beta idea...development and thinking is still required.  Wink
599  Economy / Gambling / Re: Low Hash Lotto Number 5 by Dabs. Provably Fair. Weekly Draws. on: June 17, 2013, 11:33:11 PM
Any plans of increasing the minimum price of the ticket?

0.1 BTC per ticket would turn into a great funding for the jackpot, don't you think so?

Suggestion: maybe announcing 2 weekly raffles (one with min ticket price 0.01 BTC and another with 0.1 BTC) might be interesting.
