what is it. it is so high.
bter is the dev?
and are you from china?

The CRSALE total number is only serves as a placeholder, in order to avoid issuing more during the sale.
Bter is the escrow, we are the launch and the development team.

The team is multinational.

583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 01:05:08 PM
say i bought crsale from bter and wanted a refund. how do i do it when I cant set sell order?

Bter will soon offer a sale option, so you could sell CRSALE and get your BTC back.
(We hope that you won't do this, of course Smiley ).

@SyRenity

You must add a checksum to the Crypti address. Don't make same error as NXT (they added new address format with Reed-Solomon error-correction later). Some users sended their money to incorrect address because typing error.

Good suggestion, we will put it in high priority.

Thanks.

On another note, we just passed the 100 BTC barrier - thanks to everyone who believe in Crypti!

I say contact maxmint and just have him post the details of his escrow service NOW...  since everyone will also be getting the 30% bonus tomorrow it doesn't really make any difference.

Maxmint is very careful keeping what was announced (which we respect), hence he will launch his side at the time as planned.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 12:44:43 PM
@DEV, I have posted an independent topic regarding ANN, welcome to join in and discuss with me.

Please raise your concerns here and we will do our best to address them.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 12:40:10 PM
who is providing the account on BTER, which gets our bitcoins?

Bter handles the Escrow, and will release them to launch team only after the Crypti are distributed to buyers.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 12:35:09 PM
On another note, we just passed the 100 BTC barrier - thanks to everyone who believe in Crypti!

We going to work our butts off to justify this trust and make Crypti the best crypto-payment option available.

Ok, I want to invest, but please make some thing clear to me, since I don't get a thing from this: https://github.com/crypti/crypti-docs/blob/master/presale.md

There are 100.000.000 coins, only 75.000.000 will be distributed to investors. Lets say that a total of 750 BTC will be raised.
So, in the end, what will happen with all those 750 BTC? are you keeping all of them and the remaining 25% of the coins?

So, lets say that all 5000 BTC are invested and nobody is investing more than 2%...you will have 5000 BTC in your pocket...
How can I be sure that you will keep developing the coin...because I would not care about the coin anymore with that many BTC, hell, I would not care about working for the rest of my life...

Sorry for that, we tried to make it as clear as possible, however it still might be too technical.

In case 750 BTC are raised, 85% of Crypti will be distributed to the community.
750 BTC and 15% will be managed by Foundation, consisting of launch team and community members.

The foundation will use the BTC funds for ongoing product development, marketing and promotion, managing the funds in transparent account, and publishing a monthly report of expenses.

The foundation also will grant the 15% of Crypti on a vested fashion (a portion every 3 months) over the year since the Crypti launch, against proven results. These 15% Crypti will also be located in a transparent account.

As per 5000, it just an arbitrary number, set to ensure we won't have to create more CRSALE tokens during the sale. What will count in the end, is how many BTC were raised.

Hope it is more clear now.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 12:21:44 PM
THEY SELL ALL THEIR COINS FOR AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF BTC...
THEY SELL 75% to the community - keeping the BTC, AND THEY STILL KEEP 25% OF THE TOTAL COINS IN CIRCULATION...

Please see either the thread first post or the pre-sale instructions. The current community distribution is 77%, and it will increase as more funds are raised.

The remaining Crypti % will be managed by Foundation, and be released to the launch team on a vested schedule, and / or as salary (in mix with BTC).

Let us know if you have any other questions, however I will appreciate if you will keep a calm tone.

591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 12:12:16 PM
ALLOCATION OF THE CRYPTI COIN IS = ? ? ?  BTC ( NO TOTAL BTC ESTIMATED)

I THINK SCAM

Please keep a proper font size.

As explained previously, this is not Crypti - this is sale token named CRSALE, which will be used for Crypti distribution later.

We will ask Bter to clarify it.

This looks good, very professional looking crypto, i like it. I noticed totaly new design for the presentation, which is rare.

Thanks, appreciate the kind words.

Quick question, will the desktop clients for Windows be packaged as .exe's? Also from a usability perspective don't you think a 100 character pass-phrase is a bit long?

We are looking to eventually package the node via NSIS installing, making them indeed one-click installable.

XCP wallet (https://counterwallet.co) uses about 80 - 85, hence the extra 15 are negligible and bring you towards the round number of 100.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 10:44:59 AM
Next:
Since the passphrase provided appears to be the only reference to the account, what happens if two people select the same password? same private key and account?

If this was crypti now, could I just dictionary attack the api to generate keys and gain access to accounts?  .. can I just do this http://crypti.me:6040/api/unlock?secretPhrase=test on any crypti instance to get full access to any account?

As the wallet is deterministic, the pass-phrase is actually used to generate your private/public keys on fly. We are going to introduce enforcement to make sure the pass-phrases are 100 or higher, ensuring there will be no collisions between users.

It's same technique used in NXT and XCP wallets.

100 characters will effectively prevent dictionary attacks, coupled with the brute-force measures that we will implement.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 10:34:35 AM
You provide valid secretPhrase and you can send crypti Smiley

http://crypti.me:6040/api/sendMoney?accountAddress=15413165176907764021C&amount=100&fee=0.31640625&recepient=2896597140253424866C&secretPharse=lksdjfhsdkfjsdhfksdjfhsdkjfhsdkjfhksjdfhkjsdf1hksdjfhaskdjfhksadjfhaskldf

Result:
{
  "success": false,
"error": "Invalid passphrase, check your passphrase please"
}

And again, it's beta, we will move all operations with secretPhrase in POST and add SSL Now

To be more exact, this is part of the upcoming Crypti API to be published soon (already used by the wallet).
However you have a good point about the requests being non-secure at the moment. As Boris said, we will solve it soon by POST'ing and SSL'ing the requests.

Also note that the wallet is still on the testnet, hence no real impact will be done in case of breach (if any).
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 09:28:09 AM
Well...  there was one person asking already...  I know I would go direct (thus making it 18 buyers to go)...  do honestly believe it's worth going through all that trouble compensating later?   Undecided

I believe you should come out with a definitive Yes or No before the pre-sale starts...  if you don't want the community to start becoming wary just say NO and never provide the option...  if you want to assist the people which are interested in such option just say YES.

You have a point indeed.

There will be no direct channel - all buys to be performed via our escrow partners Bter and Maxmint only.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 09:10:42 AM
After the release of crypti, developers should buy it with the accumulated funds. In this way, their reward will be connected to the success of the coin. Immediately there will be a safe market capitalization for the coin. New investors will be attracted even after the release of the coin.
Crypti will make success more easily!

It won't be possible, as the raised funds will be controlled by the Foundation, who will spend the funds on development, marketing and promotion. We all prefer to have Crypti reach leading status organically, rather then via manipulations.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 07:37:53 AM
bought some crsale on bter.

Appreciate your patronage!
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 07:37:10 AM
Why did you start already?

https://bter.com/trade/crsale_btc

As explained earlier, it appears that Bter missed our notification to push the sale 24 hours and went with it on last night 00:00 UTC, rather then today 00:00 UTC.

We still will stick to the original plan and count the 30% bonus starting today 00:00 UTC.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source on: July 10, 2014, 07:32:43 AM
Having two different escrow channels, I don't expect we will introduce a direct one as it will both complicate post-presale calculations and cause some wariness in the community.

Sounds reasonable...  but you still need to come out with a definitive NO then (as opposed to don't expect we will introduce) and make sure you stick to it!   Wink

Let's do like this, if we do introduce the direct channel (pending demand of at least 20 buyers to make it worthwhile), we will compensate your 1% when issuing Crypti.

Deal? Smiley
