581  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Stake playing fair? What about others? Where is the line of trust here? on: January 08, 2024, 07:45:11 AM
if you are referring to some specific game play I agree with you. These are clearly wrong and casino should adopt some solution for this (are you sure they have refused payout or better, what says their ToS for such cases?!)
Moreover I will not blame the casino owner but game provider since this is their fault... I don't think a billionaire companies can growth their business with such low profile tricks... they can rob some penny nothing real.

583  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Stake playing fair? What about others? Where is the line of trust here? on: January 08, 2024, 07:00:45 AM
I don't think there is a "realistic" way to certify the existence of 50 thousand people online participating in a free contest. Every time, for every giveaway.
A good reference can be given by "real users" who actually "win" prizes, likewise people posting here on forum from ranked accounts.

Regarding sports betting, providers carry out checks. this change it could be just simply from a review (or the system incorrectly) provided one value rather than another...

585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: January 08, 2024, 06:29:27 AM
Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ?  If not, how much you think is sufficient to retire as Gambling winning ?

Well, I think that someone must win at least 40/30 years of annual wage and this amount should be wisely invested.
Let's take some basic count... Here in Italy a (low) salary is at 1000 Euro Monthly.
12000 euro / yearly... It means at least 480K euro as single win!
I believe this is the "minimum" to leave. Of course doesn't implies a lavish lifestyle (at least here in this continent) but probably it's a decent sum in many many other places.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 07, 2024, 07:11:08 PM
Does it take courage to decide to "throw away" your money? I hope not, because I hope that the brave exist in other activities field of everyday life!
the chances of winning an event like this... are judged by themselves, the numbers are enough...
BTW I can see only an impressive luck for the winner and no more... personally no, I will not bet 50$ for this big jackpot.

...

588  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting arbitrage on: January 07, 2024, 10:25:47 AM
doing arbitrage in reality requires "cash ready" on the various gaming accounts, being registered on many websites including know their ToS and market rules, free time to be able to play the bets correctly... and risking that a winning bet is not paid (no one likes the arbitrage). Are you sure it's really worth it?
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 07, 2024, 10:13:28 AM
I don't believe that each of us has just one "mask" but on the contrary has different aspects on life.
I think that there may be particular moments in life in which one is led to a certain approach, this does not mean that it is forever.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 07, 2024, 10:04:15 AM
I believe that these arguments and ways to communicate should be discussed by a professional in this sector.
Personally I have no idea if some topics could istigate more or have a detrimental effect on a gambler.

In any case, what I've seen have right for an approach with a gambler is:
make people reflect on the real statistics/probability of events.
ask an inveterate bettor to list his income and expenses and from there understand if this activity is worth it

592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sudden Flash Crash vs Slow Bleed - Which actually kills Investor(s)? on: January 06, 2024, 03:26:47 AM
these corrections in this type of markets are quite common and do not impress either the holders or the traders.
it is simply a market with high volatility and simple rumors can create significant price movements.
as other users have also pointed out... in the past there have been many even more impressive ones...

594  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: January 04, 2024, 07:34:09 PM
the worst graphics are only offered by casinos that copy other casinos without having an affiliation!
for the rest I have never noticed anything really bad that is worthy of note Roll Eyes , but this is probably very personal taste and people who grew up in the 80s/90s are really hard to be impressed Wink by ugly designs
595  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Bitcoin.in on: January 04, 2024, 07:31:59 PM
you're talking about free rolls where you can win prize like satoshi, lottery ticket and so on?
well these are statistically based so you can just hope to hit a bargain win (mostly I have achieved 5K satoshi Roll Eyes ).
Of course the same applies also with dice-multiplier but there you can also lost your bid...
In both case you can "verify" your roll.

...

Suggerisco la lettura "Anatomy of the State" di Rothbard .
Argomenti descritti in maniera molto schietta, ma fanno capire benissimo come funzionano le nostre democrazie occidentali.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: January 04, 2024, 07:14:58 AM
Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.

I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.

it is absolutely normal probable at any latitude of the world!
simply because the story of a gambler who got ruined makes much more noise and not that of hundreds maybe tons of people who bet as a normal hobby and don't waste their economy in few bets.

if you don't like this "perception" there is a simple trick: don't talk about your hobby to anyone, whether you win or lose Wink and continue to play!
598  Economy / Gambling / Re: TrustDice's x5 wager requirement only applies to the 1st deposit on: January 04, 2024, 06:25:52 AM
it's pretty uncommon as requirement and even topic linked has a "disclaimer" about that (I think most of players have noted that many famous crypto-sportsbook are not listed there)...
We know that industry requires at least 2x as wagering requirement...why there is such limit on TrustDice? and moreover there is a limit minimum odds for each game?
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 05:47:26 PM
There are gamblers that have a bad plan or no plan at all about their life, they gamble with whatever amount they have rather than what they can afford to lose that won't be a worry to them if lost. There's this thought that am sure almost every gambler that have won a bet before must have had. which is the thought of "had I knew this game was going to win  I would have used bigger amount of money to wager".

A situation where the stake for the bet he won was $1k, the next statement you hear is how wish I knew I would have staked with $5k. The question is, the $5k is it an amount of money that you can be comfortable losing or it's just out of greed that you are not contented with the win amount the $1k gave you.

The fact that you won  using $1k today doesn't give assurance that if you had used higher amount or that your next bet that you probably increased the wager in order to win a bigger amount will play. As gamblers let not focus all attention on the amount that we may by chance of luck win but on what we are to lose should we fail to win the bet, in that way we won't spend on gambling above what we can afford to lose.
Stay in check!

these are a whole series of calculations that any player must keep in mind to avoid finding themselves with budget problems. you must have such numbers, if you have a family or you're living by your own work...

Unfortunately, those who gamble compulsively are unable to limit themselves and this easily leads to the accumulation of serious financial losses...and in a "recurrent" way people try to overcome these financial problems by playing even more and exposing more to economic problems...

obviously the events are not related to each other, but the approval of the SPOT ETF in conjunction with this anniversary would not be bad Wink but I am a bit skeptic on that ...
