581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Casinos with Online and Offline version, Are they the same? on: November 17, 2023, 05:53:14 AM
OK, I guess by "Offline" version you mean a physical casino or what they call a "Brick n Mortar" casino... right? The main difference between the two types of casinos are the games that are on offer and how these games are controlled.

The games in a "Brick n Mortar" casino usually consist of a bunch of Slot machines and some table games... and these machines are not easily "re-configured" ....so manipulation of the RTP and other variables are a more complex process.

The games in an Online casinos are not that complicated and many of the original in-house games can be "configured" by the local casino developers. The third party slots will change certain parameters on their games at request from the customer, but this does not happen regularly... they usually sign an agreement before they "rent" access to the games.  Roll Eyes
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin price if Solar superstorm 'wipe out the internet'? on: November 17, 2023, 05:35:47 AM
Well, solar storms usually only affect one side or a section of the earth... not the whole planet. So the military and scientist usually have "protected" equipment that they can use to detect these solar spikes, before it reach earth.

You can also build a very basic Faraday cage to offer some protection against solar storms like this. In any way, if this happens.... Bitcoin might have a better chance to survive than your average Bank or ATM or pay point at your local shop, because it is decentralized all over the planet.  Wink
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 17, 2023, 05:28:16 AM
I also started out buying like that, with every single cent that I could spare, but that is not neccesarilly the best way to do it. I changed my strategy slightly by hoarding the "cash" until the price is favorable to buy more bitcoins.

So why should you be forced to buy at a high price, if you can keep the cash and then when there are a drop in the price... buy more bitcoins. The timing of these buys are crucial and you should never buy in a Bull market..... rather wait it out and buy when it drops.  Tongue
584  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to start a Gambling operation and you can join ! on: November 16, 2023, 06:39:17 AM
The righteous douchebag count in this thread is suffocating. The guy has an idea and doesn't need righteous critique.

No, I think you are wrong.

Every potential investor should analyze each proposal and then give their opinion based on their analysis. The fact of the matter is this... the guy lost his own coins, so potential investors will question his ability to secure their coins.

OP, do not have enough money to pay his next rent, so how will investors be reimbursed, if something goes wrong with this project. The fact that he is renting is also a problem, because that says he owns no fixed property (asset) that can be sold to reimburse people.

We also know Telegram is a scammers paradise, so only giving one communication option through a platform like Telegram are also questionable. (Most legit businessmen have a transparent social media presence, where people can put a face to a real identity)

Due diligence and questioning of people's intentions are just part of the whole process to fund projects like this.  Wink  Go watch the Series "Shark Tank" and you will see how this works.
585  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 16, 2023, 06:21:03 AM
At this point, I'll really appreciate it if someone would point me in the direction of reviews about Stake platform.

I've stressed, without reserve, the limited number of positive reviews I've gotten about stake (actually, just one positive review) and the others aren't really encouraging me to use the platform. If any, can someone point me in the direction of such reviews within this forum as members of the forum can give me better reviews than outside the forum

I do not know why people put so much emphasis on casino reviews? We all know that many of the good reviews that are done on these sites are paid for or bad reviews are coming from competitors or some butt hurt gamblers that does not understand the house edge and claiming that sites are rigged when they lose money.  Roll Eyes

There are 900+ pages of discussions about Stake.com in this thread alone.... and the majority of it is not negative attacks or scam reports from the gamblers that are using it. Stake.com has proven that it is one of the leaders in the Crypto currency online gambling scene, so there should not be any doubt about that.  Roll Eyes
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 16, 2023, 05:57:35 AM
Does this really works? I mean how can this work properly, if a person is asked to pass KYC only after he wins and tries to withdraw his balance. I have never seen a casino sending funds back, because they were transferred from some kind of a "grey" wallet. I have never seen any casino refusing to accept gamblers' funds because the origin of the funds is questionable.
That's true! If the casino is comfortable with people depositing lots of money and will not demand KYC, why would they ask for it after a win and withdrawal request? I know many nations or regulators mandate casinos to enforce KYC policies but some casinos are taking advantage of it. They will use the KYC to fraudulently delay payment and sometimes freeze customer's funds. Doesn't it mean that the funds become tinted only when they are coming out of the casino

It does not matter how you look at it, KYC verification is inevitable. Let's look at how KYC are enforced and when it happens to understand this. Example : A casino will start out small with virtually a few hundred gamblers and they want to stand out from their competition, so they announce that they do not ask for KYC verification.

This goes on for a few years and they gain MANY gamblers, but as they grow... regulators start to notice them and they track them down and confront them with options... "either implement KYC or get shutdown" .... so suddenly you see sites with no KYC requirements, starting to ask for people to verify their identity.

So in conclusion : They start with No KYC requirements and are then forced to implement it.  Roll Eyes
Using no KYC as a business strategy to attract customers is not bad. But it is important to give your clients a long time notice before changing the casino policy. You shouldn't assure gamblers that they don't need KYC but when it is time to withdraw a big win, you start asking for KYC. Let everything the gambler needs to know be in your terms of service, there should be no hidden terms.

You and me both know why some casinos does this... right? You mostly find this happening with "new" or "smaller" casinos, because they do not have the funds to pay out huge wins. So they will ask for KYC verification to delay the payment, so that they can get funds to pay it.

They also hope that they can find something in the KYC documents to deny the payout of the win. We are not dealing with people that are selling Bibles here.... some of them have tainted backgrounds and connections with very shady operations.  Roll Eyes
587  Economy / Economics / Re: House to consider stopgap funding measure today to avert government shutdown on: November 16, 2023, 05:50:34 AM
You know, if you are in charge of the "Money Printers" and you can quickly pop out a Billion Dollars here for this war and then pop out another Billion to fund the Iron Dome in another country, then things will eventually start to crumble.

One thing is certain... most government employees do not want the government to fall, because the majority of them are there to take a salary, so they will eventually agree to save their own salaries.  Roll Eyes
588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some rich person not interest about bitcoin for following reason on: November 16, 2023, 05:37:52 AM
Your rich friend will never be able to invest in anything, if that is his reason.... because every commodity or stock or share ....have some Fiat Whale that are over invested in it.

Take something simple like "Grain" or "Property" .....does your friend think that there are not major investors that are manipulating those markets? I knew of a mega grain farmer, that held out on supplying the market with his grain... until the price (demand) increased ...and then he made his grain available to the market.  Roll Eyes

-snip-
It's crazy to see your action

You have more time to response to these, over, and over again + explain to him. It's clear, he doesn't want to read your clarification or explanation. If I was you, I just ignore him and put him on ignore. The more you response him, more chance he keep posting. If everyone ignore him, then he just posted some spam complain to here and since no body response him. He will be tired by him self, and be gone (like usual typical user like him).

He doesn't care with other people argument, he only care by his story and hoping/supporting people who have the same thought with him.

No, #ryzaadit .... we should encourage discussions like this, because there are a lot of people who does not understand the "house edge" and how different games work.

Let's use this discussion as an educational opportunity for other people apart from BlackyJacky to learn more about this. I think a lot of conflict can be prevented, if people knew how these things work, but casinos are not really helping to explain it.  Roll Eyes

You know how I went on about Stake changing the RTP on some games and how this makes the calculation of the advertised house edge almost impossible. (Millions of bets are necessary to verify it and by that time it might be slightly adjusted)  Roll Eyes
590  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 15, 2023, 05:57:17 AM
I think a lot of people in countries with Hyperinflation, switch to more stable Fiat currencies, like the US Dollar. This is one way to protect the value of your wealth, but you can consider other methods.. like buying Gold or even buying some bitcoins (BTC)

I think you should consider a combination of these options, so that a small portion of your wealth are stored in stable Fiat currencies that can be used frequently as needed and the majority of your wealth invested into something that can protect it's value over a longer period.  Wink

Blockchain.info has been a security hazard for years and I remember this "randomness" issue being reported on this very forum. I luckily shifted my coins from Blockchain.info before this vulnerability were discovered, so my coins are safe in a secure wallet.

It has also been an issue for me to get the 2FA notice in time, before it expires... just to get into the wallet, because the sending of the 2FA took ages. (A wallet should not give you too many hassles to login.... and Blockchain.info was one of them)  Roll Eyes
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make bitcoin "untouchable" for a while on: November 15, 2023, 05:36:42 AM
I would advise against using something that locks in your coins, because you might miss out on huge profits if you do. We are in a cycle of pumping and recovery at the moment and we might hit a new all-time-high soon, where you can "cashout" with huge profits.

I will advise you not to lock in all your coins, if you have the option to do that. Keep a small amount locked in, but keep the majority of the coins accessible if the Bitcoin price goes to the Moon, so that you can sell for some profit. (Remember, if you sell for a profit and the price goes down again.. you can buy more coins with the profit)  Wink

594  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto News Site Created Recently on: November 14, 2023, 06:13:00 AM
Hello, I created a crypto news site, give me some feedback. FYI .. I know alot more needs to be done, including SSL on it. Enjoy and give me topics of interests... Checkout the Instagram page as well, has shortened version of each post.

Thanks,
www.thisCrowd.com

I was able to access the site only once and it was very basic, but since then... the site has been down.  Roll Eyes  It does not create a good first impression, when you advertise the site and it is down for most of the visitors.

I think you should change your hosting service and also implement the SSL as soon as possible to give some credibility to the site. The world needs reliable and trustworthy Crypto news sites, because there are a lot of shit sites that are spreading FUD out there.  Wink

Hope you get it sorted, because I will check in again.  Wink
595  Economy / Economics / Re: The Thailand government will distribute money to its citizens. Economists critic on: November 14, 2023, 06:02:41 AM
I would much rather implement a "Coupon" system that can only be redeemed for "food" and basic necessities. I have seen people buying goods and selling it for "banned" substances, so no measures are free from exploitation.  Roll Eyes

Let's not forget that the money that was used for this initiative are coming from the tax payers, so someone are paying for this. Yes, they are getting something back from their taxes, but they do not have the freedom to buy what they want from it.  Roll Eyes
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 14, 2023, 05:53:35 AM
Well, you have to understand that your parents money was never yours, it was something that was generated from the hard work of your parents. You cannot claim ownership of the money that was supposed to be a gift from your parents.

You cannot contest the "Will" without taking in consideration that your parents did this, because they wanted to protect you. There are consequences for your actions and you should learn something from this.

We all have to work for our money and we should be responsible when we spend it.  Wink
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 14, 2023, 05:36:28 AM
I am glad this discussion sparked this much discussion, because we need to speak about these thing.

I did not post this thread to discuss the reasons why KYC are evil in so many ways, but rather why you want to gamble on a site without KYC verification.

A lot of people used "privacy" as a reason and I can agree with that, but anonymity also provides "privacy" for criminals and scammers. So, would you rather have "privacy" over some kind of protection that KYC provides?

We have to remember that KYC verification are not without loopholes and criminals exploit that, but it makes things more difficult for the majority of the smaller criminals to bypass it.

The pseudo anonymity of Bitcoin has the same PROs and CONs ....and we know governments hate Crypto currencies because of that, but some protection is better than having nothing at all. (You hate it, until you get scammed or hacked or you lost access to your account)  Roll Eyes
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin. on: November 14, 2023, 05:19:38 AM
Well, if the SEC denies the application for a Bitcoin ETF, nothing significant will happen.. because those companies will just review their applications and apply again or they will opt to invest in Bitcoin directly.

We also have the Bitcoin Halving that will also help to boost the demand and also the price of bitcoins. The conflict in the Middle East will also increase the demand for bitcoins, because investors are dumping money into investments that are seen as something with a store of value.

Just calm down..... What will be, will be.... Que Sera, Sera!
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 13, 2023, 06:06:31 AM
Well, the parents cannot stop him from using online gambling from his mobile phone, so this is one way of bypassing his or her parents plans to stop the gambling. (They can take his or her phone, but he or she can have another phone or use a friends phone to gamble)

I think they should address the main reasons for the addiction in a professional manner. They should take this person to get professional help from someone that can deal with gambling addiction.  Wink
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 05:55:45 AM
I was thinking about this question over the weekend and I cannot seem to find legitimate reasons why people would want to play at casinos that do not require KYC verification.

1. KYC requirements reduce money laundering.
2. KYC requirements reduce under age gambling.
3. KYC requirements increase the possibility to hold people to account for their actions. (Exploiting casino systems)
4. KYC requirement reduce scamming
5. KYC requirements can be used to restore accounts after it has been hacked. (Using the documents that were used by the original owner)
6. KYC requirements adhere to government regulations and legitimize a casino.
7. KYC requirements can be used to reduce gambling addiction. (Identifying people that self-excluded or people trying to create new accounts)
8. KYC requirements can be used to enforce regional gambling restrictions.

Why would you want to avoid being identified, if you gamble legally and if you are not a criminal? Let's discuss the reasons why KYC are not advantageous for the gamblers and casinos?

Ps. I am playing Devil's advocate... if you did not notice it.  Grin
