581  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: 50BTC.com on: June 11, 2014, 07:49:09 PM
Except for those few missing more than 25BTC I can't see why anybody is even talking about this pool.  They are long since dead and should remain that way.  Like other BTC scams the money is not coming back.
582  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Ghash.IO is awesome. on: June 11, 2014, 07:47:05 PM
Gotta love people who have good things come to them and not understand what is happening.  Maybe it's God, err the Bitcoin God.
583  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Who the hell is still mining on GHash.IO? GTFO that pool already!!! on: June 11, 2014, 07:41:27 PM
Are you blaming them because of insolvency or something like that or are you just affraid that they will abuse their powers?

They have abused their powers.  They have been caught double spending by their admins before and they stated they knew nothing about it, then they recanted and said it wasn't a big deal.  That alone proves they're willing to lie to the community.

The fact that at least 1/4 of the community is worried about their centralization and they have not taken any good faith efforts to control this (unlike BTCGuild who actually throttled their own growth) shows their arrogant assholes.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a massive DDoS...
584  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Which Calculator? on: June 11, 2014, 07:38:09 PM
The mining calculator on BitcoinWisdom is good, as it considers difficulty adjustment every 2016 blocks but not per month.
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

Agreed.  Genesis block one uses monthly increases which is kind of silly.  We're seeing 11 days between increases, not 14, so working it out by 2016 blocks is more accurate projection.  You still need to guess each dif increase though.
585  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Who the hell is still mining on GHash.IO? GTFO that pool already!!! on: June 11, 2014, 07:35:22 PM
Mining on this pool is like taking a shit in your own water reservoir.  A little don't matter but pile it on and you'll be killing yourself.

You should state how much KW you're pulling and whether or not your stuck is rack mountable.

There are several pools that are better than them, just not as flashy

594  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: June 10, 2014, 10:50:08 PM
The possibility certainly exists, the question is, do we have an unlimited amount of waiting time?

Do not all things come to those who wait?

Why then do we have those who do not wait?

Some are hungrier than others, are they not?
Isn't patience a virtue?

What isn't a virtue?

598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Where are the new Custom Hardware vendors? on: October 25, 2013, 09:28:25 PM

There are no orders being shipped that were ordered a year ago, please stop spreading false information.  Our failure rate on hardware is less than 1%, much better than industry average, so again, your argument is invalid.

Sorry, but if you consider 400 - 1000+ units shipped per day in this industry to be "few devices" you need to have your head examined.

For somebody who purports to ignore the prattle on bitcointalk you responded very quickly.  Please read carefully.  I said almost a year, not over 1 year.  If you're going to nitpick (which you do play semantics all the time) get it right.  My order was shipped with over a 1 year delay BTW.  I ordered in June 2012 and it shipped a few days short of 13 months.  Minirig owners did not see their full purchased hashing power for almost 14 months.

I doubt your failure rate is less than 1%.  Most computer hardware has rates exceeding that failure rate and admittedly no ASIC vendor would make such ridiculous claims.  I'm sure those ASICminer USB sticks are close to 2-3% and BFL is probably closer to 5% judging by what is said on the forums.  I can't fault the company or it's employees for having something break since we are human and the devices were assembled by human hands.  I can justly rail all I want for not getting a reply for 8 days for my RMA - the downtime cost me over 10BTC which is roughly $2k right now.  That is inexcusable.

I did choose to purchase from BFL willingly - it was my choice.  I choose to stick with the company and by the time I decided to ask for a refund your company redacted their refund offering.  I do like your product, but I have lost quite a bit of BTC (I paid in BTC) by buying it seeing as how I was suckered in believing the devices would ship sometime in October.....2012.   I believe you are currently the face of the company - if you can sleep with that at night...
599  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Where are the new Custom Hardware vendors? on: October 25, 2013, 09:08:11 PM
Oh really?  As one of the few shipping ASIC vendors, I think that makes me qualified to speak on the subject, unlike you.  What have you done to bring a new product to the market from scratch?  Oh that's right... nothing at all.

How loose your definitions are. Roll Eyes  By shipping, do you mean shipping stuff today for items that were ordered almost a year ago?  Shipping items in variations much different than what was ordered?  Shipping out hardware that mines for 2 days and then dies and have to wait 8 days for someday just to issue an RMA even after requesting in email, forums, shoutbox, etc?

Let me fix that for you:

Oh really?  As one of the ASIC vendors shipping few devices, I think that makes me INABAble to speak on the subject, unlike you.  What have I done to bring a new product to the market from scratch?  Oh that's right... nothing at all.
600  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL rewarding Jalapeno orders at the expense of LS/S/MR orders on: June 05, 2013, 07:38:25 PM
I don't understand what you're asking for, I guess. The LS/S/MR aren't available to ship. They're still working on those. Are you suggesting that they shouldn't be shipping any product out, just because they can't ship everything?

I get that it sucks that the other models aren't ready, but there are WAAAAY more Jalapeno orders than there are of anything else, so it just makes sense to start filling the queue that they're able to fill, while they work toward completing the other products in their line. It's a shitty situation, but what justification is there for punishing the bulk of their customers who ordered Jalapenos?

This sounds an awful lot like a conversation I heard between one of my friends and his daughter recently:

[In tears] "Dad, *sob* my *sob* balloon *sob* popped."
"I'm sorry that happened, sweetie"
"Yeah, well *sob* Emma's balloon isn't *sob* popped, and it's *sob* not fair!"
"What do you think would be fair?"
"We *sniffle* need to pop HER balloon too!"

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Objection. Lacks foundation, calls for speculation.

Boy you're really living up to your reputation aren't you?

You clearly cannot read with comprehension or you have chosen to respond without reading.  Where did I even state that I thought punitive measures against Jalapeno buyers was a good idea?  Please quote it and bold it.

What BFL is doing is giving an unfair advantage to Jalapeno owners.  Since they have not decided to go with 1/3rd plan, and they have not decided to hold back Jalapeno orders they should implement a different plan that would be fair to the other purchasers.

Jalapeno orders may be numerically larger but by purchase values I would clearly say LS/S/MR people funded BFL for the most part.  Are you going to argue that somebody buying quantity 10k of a 3 cent item at a Walmart store should weigh more heavily that the 8000 other item purchases that might be made on a typical day (hypothetical).

What they may consider if they are not willing to actively put LS/S/MR production as a top priority is converting the other orders to Bitforce 5s
