That'd be more interesting if I hadn't just bought a buttload of samples from Innosilicon.
Ooh - awesome news. Will be nice to see what comes out of the lab next.

^^ I opened the email and assumed it was some sort if phishing attempt glad I already made my mind up to never order from them.
Considering how often there database gets hacked I'd hate to have valuable information about myself there.
Right? No more Bitmain for me...

Wow, Bitmain requiring Passports for US purchases now.
No thanks - happy Canaan has trustworthy resellers.

Woohoo - almost time to point the dragon to the main pool and cross that 200TH threshold!

Also, why would you ever put something you couldn't review on your income generating machines?
That's like saying you want to give access to your paycheck to a vendor who promises big things, but has no proof they can deliver on those promises.
At least if it were open source we could see if they might have any bugs (at best) and no malicious code (at worst)

DANG the V9 likes about a 32k diff
That has no impact to your mining here. As long as its over 4k, you're good. The pool adjusts based on your share rate. However, that doesn't even matter here because the only difficulty that matters is if you find a block or not (which is much higher than 32k)

I’m somewhat screwing myself on my electric bill right now with 2 of my miners being S7’s. I could replace them with 1 S9 and have more hash with less power consumption. S7 just aren’t worth anything anymore for me to even feel like dealing with getting rid of them.
I have a storage locker with a bunch of outdated and inefficient miners (M3s, S7s, A742, etc) - if prices do go crazy again, they'll be sellable.

My last months electric bill came in at $14,072.82, and that was with a temporary discount of $1,584 the co-op passed onto me.
Wouldn't it be great if they accepted BTC for that bill?

can anyone tell me quickly if i can cancel a transaction thats on the network but not fully confirmed yet?
If its not confirmed, you can use an RBF transaction to change it. If it has any confirmations, you cannot cancel it.

Guys another noob question, how does the miners vote for segwit or bip109 does the pool decide or do we have to do something to the miners that is beyond me?
Segwit locked in to the mainnet last year. No other voting is needed.

T1 is pointed to Kano's test proxy so he can evaluate the best and most secure way to enable version rolling. Mine on!
Just an update for people who were curious: My DragonMint (and PSU) arrived. I'm going to drive down to my mine and set it up after the weekend, and am working with Kano to make sure he can use it to test ASICBOOST.
Going by current deliveries its probably the miner, minus the PSU. They seem to be arriving later rather than sooner.
That’s better than the alternate - so annoying when the PSU shows up without a miner.
Got a shipping notification from Halong. Hopefully it's the miner (and not just the PSU.) Will point it to a proxy setup by Kano once it actually gets delivered and I drive it down from my house to the mine, get that ASICBOOST going (if it works and once Kano can test it.)

it’s definitely down, I’ve a had a few fails with this miner recently and carried out a full reset and reboot at the weekend. Since then it’s been down from an average of 10.8t/h
When I restart or reboot it seems to take an age to get the upload frequency data on cg miner and the 3rd board took longest to connect.
That’s also the board that occasionally shows a 0 reading but has in the past been fine after a reboot.
Do you think it may be a duff board. Unit is only a feb issue miner.
Probably best to ask in the Mining Support or WhatsMiner threads - you'll get more help there, and its definitely not a Kano Pool issue.

I can't see anything wrong with your miner from the stats page. It looks like its just variance - the chips are running at the right clock speed and there's the correct number of chips detected.

When we crack the next block, we can all celebrate together!
