61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC Fighter Renato Moicano Wants Bonus Paid in Bitcoin on: April 17, 2024, 08:18:03 AM
I'm not sure what everyone here thinks but I have to tell you that Renato Moicano, the UFC dude tweeted that he wants his 300k bonus in bitcoin.
Bitcoin is one of options, receiving methods of many people, business owners, staffs, workers, athletes, politicians. It is cool to see celebrities show off their wanting and help to advertise Bitcoin more widely.

Their adoption is contribution to Bitcoin adoption globally and we don't judge that they do it with other hidden reasons but it's their individual concerns, not ours. We only care about increasing Bitcoin adoption, with time and at global scale.

These people are smart enough to say Bitcoin is one of things they accept, not the only option. So they will not miss any bonus, like Trump who opens for his political funds with Bitcoin.

It looks like things are getting worse and worse with the Bitcoin mempool.
Recent days are not worst days in last one year.
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC%20(default%20mempool),1y,weight

There are two cool down months February to March before we are witnessing some hype from Ordinals again but they will not stay forever. Bitcoin stays forever, not Ordinals and when they disappear, mempools will be better.

Inscriptions, Mempools and Miners
https://dune.com/dataalways/ordinals
They are back not not aggressively like months ago and you can wait for weekends to get better mempools and fee rates if you really need to move your bitcoins. If you don't hurry, wait for a while, cheaper fee rates will be available.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Original "Buy Bitcoin" sign for sale at an auction in a couple of days on: April 16, 2024, 10:47:26 AM
How did the man keep that paper since 2017 and did not throw it away shortly after that?

If he kept it over years, 7 years already, he deserves to any money he get from this auction and this will go to Bitcoin history too. It's not only contributed by this man but after many years, we have supporters in the US. Congress and we are going towards era that we no longer have to fear that Bitcoin will be banned in the USA.

It's a big milestone for Bitcoin and Bitcoin strong adoption nowadays started from somewhere in the past. "Buy Bitcoin" moment is one of impressive moments.

65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC to Tether for percentage gain on: April 13, 2024, 02:50:27 AM
I do agree that a lot of people tend to do something like this, but that doesn't change the fact that we are going to end up seeing people fail at it as well. Like sell your btc for fiat/stable and then the price goes up, so you fail to get better amount, that has to be the most important part.
In a bull run that lasts for some months, more than one year, holding is key to get best profit. What you described is a most common mistake do touch during a long bull market. Want to maximize profit but we all can not predict the market well and accurately so we usually sell high with hope that market will correct down, then buy higher. We will still get profit by doing this but we will lose our bitcoins with it.

Quote
I believe that the best thing to do would be just holding. This is why people hold, there is no reason why we believe that we can't make any money, we can definitely make some money, we just need to make sure that we know what we are doing, and usually that's the hardest part. I believe that readjusting to the market price is hard, and while we hold, that is a lot better and we just keep on making a lot of return by simply holding.
Holding is best in a bull run. By holding, we also have a best preventive layer to avoid touching Margin, Leverages and Futures that bring bigger risk than trading with Spot. As said above, trading with Spot in a bull market is already bad enough for us to lose our bitcoin. With Margin, Leverages and Futures, it will be only worse and worse.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I anonymously get Monero with Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: April 09, 2024, 01:01:39 AM
Pick exchanges or Peer to Peer marketplaces, without KYC, and buy Monero, Ethereum or Bitcoin.
https://kycnot.me/

You start with Coinbase, that is bad because they require KYC and if you do your purchases on non KYC exchanges with flow starts from Coinbase, it does not make sense for your privacy.

Use your non custodial wallets, no KYC, then use it to buy Monero, ETH, BTC on non KYC exchanges.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mixers and their reason to exist in the bitcoin ecosystem on: April 08, 2024, 02:29:06 AM
Not gonna lie, Mixer is very helpful to me ever since I join the casino signature campaign and earn some Bitcoin because the local exchange the I use frequently to received this funds is very suspicious and doesn’t allowed deposits from casino or from any wallet that has a connection to a crypto casino transaction.

I encounter an issue in the past about this that makes me more cautious and embrace the use of mixer to hide the trace of gambling activity to my Bitcoin. I stop using mixer after the multiple seize on popular mixer and decided to use P2P exchange instead.
Bitcoin Q&A: Blacklists, Taint, and Wallet Fingerprinting

Andreas M. Antonopoulos talked about basic steps from centralized platforms to detect tainted coins and understand about it can help you to avoid problems with exchanges and casinos from your deposits. You can do it by yourself and don't have to use mixers for it.

I understand your concern because casinos with licenses have obey to regulations and one of them is AML. Exchanges can have problems from DOJI like Binance, Kucoin with accusations and charges from DOJI recent months.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most secure BTC futures exchange with good trading volume? on: April 04, 2024, 06:44:13 AM
I'm looking for a reputable exchange that offers BTC futures with good volume on quarterly/delivery contracts

I currently use bitmex but their delivery contract volume is so low - its highest per 24h is 3-4M$

I'm aware of binance and okex they seem to have good products with high volumes but would like to know if there are more out there?
You can not trust exchanges but you can use metrics, ranks from big sites like Coinmarketcap, Coingecko and find Exchanges with Derivative products like Futures trading. Biggest exchanges can scam too like FTX exchange so with your money, you must be careful.

Futures trading is more risky than Spot trading and it is best for your capital if you don't trade Futures.

By the way, this point can be used to fight against Gary Gensler because it is not logic that SEC. approved Bitcoin Futures ETFs, Ethereum Futures ETFs but they said Bitcoin Spot ETFs are risky for investors. After approving Bitcoin Spot ETFs under pressure, they are repeating same tone of illogical statement on Ethereum Spot ETFs.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This bitcoin bull market isn't over yet ! on: April 01, 2024, 03:11:45 AM
According to Rainbow Graph the All Time High its expected to happen after the 4th halving soon
Which this leads to understand that this Bull market is not over yet  and that you still can prepare and HOLD for New All Time High
While short-term price fluctuations are inevitable in any market, the long-term outlook for Bitcoin remains positive.

You can see the Rainbow chart https://www.lookintobitcoin.com/charts/bitcoin-rainbow-chart/

It shows that Bitcoin has less up spikes in recent bull markets. The Rainbow chart does not predicts a last bull market top accurately. It is very inaccurate if I want to say about top prediction from Rainbow chart as with the last cycle, price reaches its top until only goes to about half of the Rainbow chart.

Use Pi cycle top indicator, that is better and more accurate to predict market top than the Rainbow chart.

70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful where you connect your wallet on: March 30, 2024, 08:25:59 AM
I am making this post to share a terrible experience of victim who lost $2m over a simple act of negligence or rather carelessness. I will say he played with $2m that is supposed to be saved a cold wallet that is disconnected from the internet.
This lesson is not new and recommendation for safety repeatedly said on the Internet.

If you have $2M in capital, you should never store all $2M in a single wallet.
Split your capital ($2M) to different wallets, hot wallet, cold wallet, single signature wallet, multi-signature wallet.
Split your capital and wallet on different devices.

The bottom line, and is vital, don't explore new platform, new smart contracts, with a wallet in which you store big capital. What is big capital?

What you see fit, $2M or $1M or even just $20,000.

For new things (projects, platforms, smart contracts), explore them with a small wallet.

Remember to revoke smart contract approval after you done.

71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to kucoin? on: March 30, 2024, 08:10:41 AM
Just searched about KuCoin, and I'm seeing some disturbing news about their founders being charged by the Justice Department for violating some laws.

Does anyone know more about this? What implications could this have on the CEX, especially now that they're targeted in the US?

https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/prominent-global-cryptocurrency-exchange-kucoin-and-two-its-founders-criminally
Similar accusation like what happened against Binance and their CEO, Changpeng Zao months ago.

Money laundering is not allowed in the USA. and they have strict regulations against Money Laundering. If an exchange operates in the USA. or allow USA. citizens to register and use its services, but fail to do AML against money laundering, the exchange will be under radar of DOJI and will be suited with massive charges like Binance and Kucoin.

Months ago, before Binance, there are some Peer to Peer Marketplaces had to shut down their services like LocalBitcoins, Paxful, LocalCryptos. P2P marketplaces are more favorite for money laundering than CEX and you can connect those cases to understand what's happening in the USA. against CEXs.

Money laundering is only one of their reasons to attack Cryptocurrency market includes CEX. Money laundering happens with banks as well and it does not only exist in cryptocurrency market.

Paxful is shutting down
LocalCryptos is shutting down
Localbitcoins slowly dying?
72  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: March 25, 2024, 09:34:40 AM
KYC is required if the user has reached the withdrawal threshold and shuffle.com does not explain what the threshold amount, generally when withdrawals reach $2000 to $10000 and this is normal for every casino that has a license because this is a global rule.
Exchanges and casinos can have lifetime trading, withdrawal thresholds for different KYC levels.

If Shuffle use these for their platform and KYC requirements on their users, they have to write it clearly in their ToS. They can not arbitrarily pull KYC card anytime they want and it is only harmful for their reputation.

I didn't see accusation against Shuffle so assume they are good but to avoid damage on reputation, from now they can return to discuss internally with their Compliance team, lawyers and finalize their service terms on KYC, and add it to their ToS.
73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to follow whales? on: March 24, 2024, 03:31:10 PM
The subject of the thread really caught my attention, and I'm eager to know how to follow whales too, but the comments so far is about the indicators to follow, so I guess that whales do not want people to follow them, every trader has to research and find their own indicators. You suggestion is also good, a trader can follow a signal group, and make the most of it, in all the crypto space, I think that trading is the most complex and it requires a lot of expertise and commitments in order to minimize loses and become profitable in it.
How do you know they are actually whales?

See how they are rich with their assets, lifestyle like Sam Bankman-Fried?

Whales can be smart with investment, trading or just are rich because of their scam, fraudulent activities like SBF.

Following whales will be like using a double-edged sword and you can get benefit or get harmed. If you are not smart, you can be manipulated by their signals and become victims of their distribution.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: March 24, 2024, 07:45:10 AM
Depending on what you want, your strategy changes too.

Some people for example keep only 5% to 10% in crypto. When its worth goes above 10%, they sell the excessive amount. When it goes below 5%, they add more to keep it at 5%. I used to follow this strategy and it was a good one. It is like managing a fund. It won't make you rich but you'll always have some exposure to crypto.
Capital management is first important thing. How many percent of your capital is your favorite to assign for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, will decide whether you stay in the market, hold your cryptocurrency or will take profit all and exit the market, or just take profit partially.

Assume you want like minimum 20% of your capital in cryptocurrency, if your portfolio is up 100%, it is not bad to take profit most of it to have cash in your capital drops back to 20% or higher.

Your portfolio can be change with time, capital distribution can be changed with time but if you get profit, re-balance your capital is good practice.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trades be closed only when the market is bullish? on: March 24, 2024, 07:41:04 AM
A tendency arises among us. When the value of Bitcoin increases a lot, we start trading more. Which puts our trade management in jeopardy, during which most of the time people face loss.
When the market is bullish and price is up, people are more actively with trading.

They increase their trading intensity from Spot to Leverages, Futures trading types. Even the Spot Trading type is risky if they can not control their emotion and buy high, sell low.

With Leverages, Futures Trading types, they have less choices as if they open a wrong position, the market moves oppositely against their position, they will have to either cut loss by themselves or liquidated by exchanges.

In general, in a bull market, trading volume increases a lot because there will be new capital flow into the market and traders are more actively with trading.

Will the get more profit from the bull market, not actually. Most of traders have painful losses from trading.

77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the newly minted USDT, a driving force to surge of BTC ? on: March 18, 2024, 09:50:19 AM
It's all because of the "ETF hype". More money is being poured into the crypto market, which is a good sign for long-term "hodlers". But stablecoin issuers' recent move, should raise a red flag to the whole market. If all blows up, expect prices to go all the way down the drain in an instant. There will be a massive bloodbath never before seen in the history of crypto.
ETF hype lasts for some months since the court 'rules in favor of Grayscale' and appearance of BlackRock among companies submit Bitcoin Spot ETFs make people strongly believe in approvals from SEC.

Finally it happens in January 2024 but months before that, Bitcoin price rose from below $30,000 to above $45,000 before having a correction.

Pomp has a talk about it there.
Bitcoin enters price discovery. There is a chart with notes on this for price changes and events.
78  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best altcoin now? on: March 16, 2024, 12:12:24 PM
Which altcoin shoud I be carefully looking at now as BTC goes a little down, do yoiu think..=?? Anything interesting in the trading platforms moving up against the other trend..??

Got an eye wide open on something very interesting right now, bnut don't know what you guys would  say about this at the moment...  Shocked)
Altcoins are risky for investment and trading but if you love altcoins, you can filter the market and find strong ones.

Find strong altcoins when Bitcoin dips and you will see altcoins that recover strongest shortly after Bitcoin dip. These altcoins potentially will give you good profit when Bitcoin returns to its upward or side way.

Altcoins that perform weak after a Bitcoin dip will not likely give you good profit in future.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader's must remember it. on: March 16, 2024, 12:00:47 PM
Even following these tips will not make you a professional trader because they are theoretical words and there is no basis for real action, such as saying to lazy students, “Study and you will get an amazing result, stop watching TV, spend time with friends, and go to the library.” But even if he did that without knowing how to study, he will not get good results.

Therefore, trading requires learning, and in order to learn, you must create demo accounts on which you can try out your trading plans and learn how to apply what you learn or see from technical analysis, and then start preparing your own plan, test it, and finally start learning trading step by step.
It is easier to think you can do it than you can actually do it in practice.

Trading is difficult and challenging for psychology and the meme in OP is right but to actually achieve it in trading, daily trading to emphasize, it is very hard. Your psychology will be tested many times by the market, day by day, and it is hard to survive after many tests.

Perfectly, we can stay outside the market, observe it and when we see people are fearful, panic, we can wait for their panic to reach higher and higher till time they feel calm, we can step in and trade shortly then exit the market.

FOMO is bad as it usually leads to unstable psychology and wrong decisions with money.

Quote
The thing you must understand is that trading is not a full-time job.
I agree with you but newbies usually think they can get rich with trading, daily trading and consider trading as their full-time job.
80  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |Up To 80% RakeBack |SLOTS|SPORTS|ESPORTS| JACK Token on: March 13, 2024, 02:54:08 AM
I joined Black Jack and found that the team are going to create their BlackJack token.
https://blackjack.fun/jack-token

A video on Black Jack casino's JACK token.

With the token, you will have some benefits when using BlackJack and the team will use 10% of every tournament earning to buy and burn the JACK token. It will be deflationary with time.

Users can stake JACK to earn a 10% pool of each tournament earning.

You can buy it now on Black Jack website but I need support from Black Jack team. On the roadmap, I see listings on Uniswap first, then Pancakeswap. So what is the chain for Jack token?
