66  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide on: April 22, 2014, 01:24:00 AM
dogie, do you think that bitmain and kncminer should have their grades re-looked at, I know I do.?
Why?
well the S2 has not been perfect in regards to batch 2 shipping time and issues/RMA delays and kncminer has gone to the darkside. I bet there are quiet a few who agree if you were to poll their threads.

Are you joking, we were fighting yesterday for making me a price of $2450, since I have ordered 5 more units (7 in total) and now you make it $2350 including shipping Huh??

I cannot understand how you work.

BITMAIN daily price drops = competition price drops

key word here is daily, although bitmain does not really adhere to the daily but on occasions.

i get it, i just dont see how 'We never said that we won't be accountable for delays'

and

'Spondoolies shall not be liable under whatsoever circumstances' can come from the same entity.

and referring to hardware sales as a 'gamble' etc

trust us, we shall not be liable for customers trusting in us.

wtf?? am i just ruined from past experiences??

we all are, some of us just like the pain Cheesy
76  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 20, 2014, 11:43:48 AM
im in the same mind-frame.

its like we're being told two different things by the same people.

this for me makes it worse.

while im tempted, i cant ignore the aggressive push for sales and the defensive nature of some of the responses to legitimate concerns.

along with the august delivery date, 'promises' of ROI & the classic, 'do your own research because we wont be held accountable for delays' etc make it quite the scary propsition.

"The aggressive push for sales" was explained at some length, for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg6293879#msg6293879

We're directing wandering customers to the group buy: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/news/13780541-special-easter-passover-discount-on-sp30-group-purchase

We don't guarantee or promise ROI. We do believe it's a terrific deal with very good chance for an excellent ROI. We can't predict the hash-rate. We can't predict BTC value.

We never said that we won't be accountable for delays. We did say that we'll deliver on time and on spec.

We wouldn't have taken pre-orders if we had any doubts about our ability to deliver. We won't take pre-orders for our 3rd gen which is an higher risk.

And what recourse do we have if you do not deliver on time/spec?

NONE according to your own ToS.

is it just myself & Smooth that seem to be baffled by the double speak here??
edgar, my 2 cents and we'll let spondoolies answer when he can. I think I read somewhere that the chips are being made now and will be delivered in july in time for assembly and shipping I am guessing mid to late August. I think spondoolies is saying they will do what they can but should some unforeseen event occur well then we will be S.O.L (unforeseen event = war, mother nature, catastrophe etc etc).
77  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: April 20, 2014, 11:30:45 AM
so this offer has noting to do with theSP10 at all?

i keep getting confused as to what is on offer and what is not.

Edgar, are you referring to Roadstress's group buy, which is for the 5.4TH/s Yukon?
78  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: April 20, 2014, 11:29:33 AM
Spondoolies, did you say something earlier in the thread about running the SP10 at above 35 degrees ambient (spec limit)?

It's per safety requirement. We did test at a much higher temperature of course:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521520.msg5938665#msg5938665

The recommended ambient temperature is 20C
You'll get better results with colder ambient temprature
How will the Yukon do say in 30c ambient temperature? Cali can get pretty hot in August.

Not sure this was asked and answered and my apologies in advance if it was... what if the people pledging do not pay spondoolies for the units? Fore example if 255 units are pledged before the deadline but only 240 are actually paid for do we all still get the 250 unit volume pricing?

+1
I also think like you and Spondoolies can give some if...else for this situation asap.
Good one. We trust the people will honour their pledge.
We'll start collecting after reaching the 250 mark. We'll start collecting according to the deal RoadStress negotiated, e.g. the discounted pricing.
If people won't honour the pledge, we won't ask for the higher price. However ,we will be disappointed.
You trust us with your pre-order. We want to trust you to honour the deal.
spoondoolies, as someone pointed out earlier, I love the honeymoon phase, its always the best. Promises to the moon, thank you! And I don't think you'll have a prob. with payments, hell I've been pondering units 2 and 3.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will bring that to the attention of the Freicoin miners / pools group I am working with on this and we are hoping to get 4 x SP30s pledged and money collected.
'Just when I thought I was out....they pull me back in'
I keep saying this cause I am tired of the ASIC rat race, but in the end I am a rat! Cheesy
