61  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Opinions on Mexc GLobal on: March 12, 2024, 04:02:03 PM
Even though no KYC seems tempting, just imagine all the top exchanges implementing KYC policies even $1 trades while this one doesn't, it feels like global regulations never give exclusive rights. I also don't think they escape the scrutiny of AML authorities.
I'dn't put at least $10 before I became a verified user, or not use it at all.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange advice to sell >10BTC on: March 11, 2024, 03:15:07 PM
Just discovered this Bisq service, https://bisq.wiki/Face-to-face_(payment_method)
Tbh I haven't learned more about the mechanism and security side of it.
Light advice, you don't have to offer a large amount at once. Let's say you wanna sell 5 BTC, then make up to 15 separate offers so that it is possible to find 15 different buyers.

63  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mexc wont unfreeze my account on: March 11, 2024, 03:02:44 PM
^^
What you need to know, there are no Mexc representatives here, no one will unlock your account with privileges. Their platform, their rules (even if you think it's unfair). You have to get used to it.
So cry somewhere else. fvck off Tongue
64  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mexc wont unfreeze my account on: March 10, 2024, 11:12:06 AM
You should feel relieved if the verification process stops at that step, their policy for recovering frozen accounts will even ask you to prepare a police report (if they categorize this freeze as login credential theft).

You must provide proof of police acceptance of the case within 48 hours of submitting the supporting documents. If you fail to provide the appropriate proof, MEXC will unfreeze the frozen assets or accounts as appropriate.
65  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Where to sell Casascius coins? on: March 10, 2024, 10:33:58 AM
Try checking this out 4k.com.
Even though the steps seem a bit complicated from conventional marketplaces, there is one casascius collector with good experience with this site: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5366886
Do it if you're sure that NFTs aren't shit stuff, lol.

Btw, perhaps you forgot that this forum has Collectibles board.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 09, 2024, 01:50:44 PM
Will we have a weekend ATH

Observing closely.
You have to look at it from another perspective. Beginning of the current week BTC has reached ATH in my local currency.

67  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Locked out of Kraken Account and they arent helping, what do I do? on: March 09, 2024, 04:49:59 AM
If it requires manual handling, you just need to be a little more patient.
I recently resolved an issue with my main trading exchange account (not kraken, unfortunately) and do you know how long it took for my ticket to get a support response? about 5 days later but I wasn't too anxious. And the sixth day they solved my problem with video verification.
68  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the point of registering on a CEX if you don't trade? on: March 09, 2024, 03:45:48 AM
  • Staking
  • Cloudmining
  • Lending
  • Affiliates
  • Tokensale/IEO

Any business as long as the economic benefits of crypto are on their list is potentially profitable, they provide it.
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would a vendor and a dealer connect with each other for BTC means of payment on: March 08, 2024, 11:22:20 AM
We have always have this tag "Stay anonymous with your Bitcoin holdings and don't get exposed that you are a Bitcoin holder or a Bitcoin investor" for security reasons.
Mixer, change address, send from centralized service.
Anyway, where did you get this tag? I think it's not anonymous, but more about privacy to the point where you feel safe from criminal attempts. After all, privacy is just a security option, some people don't even care about that especially if they have to share a residential address.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can DAI stablecoin be frozen? on: March 08, 2024, 09:18:51 AM
No i Will send my DAI to my exodus wallet
I think not, as explained by several people above. In a bigger perspective, you might also believe in a big conspiracy that the PoS consensus system (which the DAI ecosystem uses these types of blockchains especially ETH 2.0) is somewhat centralized which means it can control to a certain degree. While this isn't related to freezing, it still boggles the mind.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can DAI stablecoin be frozen? on: March 08, 2024, 02:45:58 AM
Say i have stolen 20 bitcoin and exchange them for DAI on like binance, then i send my DAI to my exodus wallet, can government, police, or others /sieze them?
You mean your BTC will be transferred to a centralized wallet? Freezing will likely occur at this step. Most hacking cases never involve a centralized entity so much as the full intervention of legal authorities to embezzle the proceeds of the crime (unless the hacker is stupid enough).
72  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are some countries being sentimental with bitcoin and the cryptos at large? on: March 07, 2024, 01:37:24 AM
Are they protecting their citizens from an omen that the cryptocurrencies portrays?
Or they're just being awkward from embracing digital developments?

The government is also likely to look at the demographics and technological literacy of its population and some law enforcers are competent in this field. Despite its benefits, cryptocurrency has been known to have many negative sides related to crime.
Crypto is by no means beneficial to everyone, some sad stories that crypto was the beginning of a bad experience while law enforcement couldn't help at all.
73  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WAZIRX is a fraud indian platform dont trust it they stolen my 1000 USD on: March 07, 2024, 12:55:17 AM
As far as I remember, this exchange was operated by Binance before the original owner and CZ dispute occurred[1]. I don't know the rest of the story, I thought they had stopped operating and I was wrong. This means that the status of this exchange is in a gray area in terms of ownership and regulatory basis, users must be careful when using this exchange.

77  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: thread to report auto-trades especulative volume on a crypto? on: February 18, 2024, 01:30:34 PM
There's not any, you can start your own but it's also not a thread that will become official one. Anyway I need more details on this, is this some kind of pump-dump scheme with known masterminds?
If it is accusatory, you should provide concrete evidence, if not (speculative), you should start at this place https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=224.0.
78  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Indian scammers getting cocky on: February 16, 2024, 01:20:35 AM
I think this guy just has the same business as you as a script reseller, also like your competitor degika who some time ago you made similar accusations about.

They have no demo and no proofs of owning this casino design. Only thing they have is broken english and stolen screenshots.
Unfortunately, I don't think this proves that he is trying to scam unless you can find the original devs. that there is no cooperation between them and this reseller or at least a buyer was scammed. He may be violating Behance's ToU regarding Sample Files https://www.adobe.com/legal/terms.html
Quote
You cannot distribute Sample Files in any way that allows a third party to use, download, extract, or access the Sample Files as a stand-alone file, and you cannot claim any rights in the Sample Files.

But I don't like his behavior (if proven both are alts) of defending himself by turning around throwing $500 scam alerts without any evidence. This will be a separate chapter. Anyway, what happened to your site (neutral feedback from LV)?
79  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is a reliable vcc no kyc really attainable? on: February 12, 2024, 09:12:08 AM
If no kyc vcc is pointless then where do we go from here
If you consider KYC a privacy risk, then Neuroticfish is right. VCC services that claim they are KYC-free may in fact ask you for ID at any time, this is usually stated vaguely in a line on their terms of service article. For example:
You agree to: (a) provide accurate, current and complete information; (b) maintain and promptly update your Account information to keep it accurate, current and complete; (C) maintain the security of your Account and you understand that there are certain risks of unauthorized access to your Account;

I mean, the card issuer may not want your ID based on their interests, but on the other hand they work with third party companies like Visa where they have a list of restricted countries, have anti-money laundering and terrorist financing policies.
You have 2 possible risks, you will be asked for KYC or the service will stop your card.

i.e. what do we use instead?
Buy your product at a store that accepts crypto payments directly.
80  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Implementing Bitcoin on: February 12, 2024, 12:25:44 AM
Since bitcoin is a currency, of course most of the goal is to gain financial advantages. Bitcoin is applicable in all sectors that have economic and business elements.

. The smart contracts
The bitcoin protocol wasn't specifically designed for this purpose (to the best of my knowledge to date), so I don't know which bitcoin you're talking about. I just found something like that here (forked coin)... https://coingeek.com/bitcoin101/bitcoin-smart-contracts/
