841  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 03, 2023, 03:08:45 PM
In this case you're comparing your childhood and household matters, your position is different because now you're the head of the family. But at this point I'm describing your mother as a horrible woman, and the mistake is then you represent that in a financial situation. It's a wonder you can't control what you lead.
Sorry if I said a bit harshly, actually your mental coward since childhood. Dude, you'll never run away from the realities of life however you avoid them. Now you're asking us for a solution no matter if it will result in another bigger problem. The question is, if a new problem occurs, where will you avoid? Well, just wait for a villain here to give you a solution.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, Not your coins" is not enough on: July 03, 2023, 12:39:48 PM
Nobody should limit other people's choices because they have various interests, professions, backgrounds or whatever. The important thing is to keep telling them that every decision has its own consequence.
Bitcoin with its unique characteristics may not help in all aspects, on the other hand CEX has advantages at some points even in the judgment of someone with a typical skeptic of anything regulated. Some gangs will even say, "fuck privacy, I know what I'm doing more than you think".
843  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKX enforcing KYC. on: July 03, 2023, 11:59:25 AM
I haven't received it, I'm a user with KYC Lvl2.
But that's a very short deadline, you should also check if they reminded you before this one.
What is your KYC level status? I think the request to update the information doesn't mean to increase its level either. cmiiw
844  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Belarus wants to ban bitcoin P2P transactions on: July 03, 2023, 11:39:46 AM
News snippet:

The authority also noted that it plans to implement a practice similar to the procedure for exchanging foreign currencies, which will make it “impossible to withdraw money obtained from illegal activity.”
I don't really understand if this is related to preventing p2p transactions, does this mean withdrawing cash? I think local banks will have another job to censor a lot of customers.
I appreciate the government officials eradicating this illegal activity, but the methods they employ will only make people laugh at them.

846  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin to introduce mandatory KYC on: July 01, 2023, 03:40:40 AM
Do you manage to withdraw your assets without KYC on your newly registered account? I'm new to Kucoin but I don't know what lvl 1 KYC verified looks like because that's what my account shows after I verified it using my valid ID. What's the minimum requirements for lvl 1 KYC verified because submitting 1 valid ID and selfie is the only option I have to verify my account for processing of withdrawal. This is really weird.

I think it is a specific display after being verified for withdrawal purposes (it has its own wizard on KYC requests, different from regular verification). If you visit the profile page, maybe your verification level status will also be visible.
Btw, was that captured on the app or the browser version? Up to what point did you verify? Sending ID photos or up to face recognition?
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.k Approves Cryptocurrency As A Regulated financial Activity. on: July 01, 2023, 02:38:25 AM
What do you think?
Source link: Error 404

I won't jump to conclusions about the potential that the crypto industry will develop better there after this approval. It is necessary to see how the new regulatory framework is structured more so in regulating potential or current crypto services. I interpret this as merely increasing oversight, not implying that regulations will be relaxed.

Comparing with the US, I see no difference as crypto activity is also regualted.
848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: June 30, 2023, 11:35:07 PM
In the case of bitcoin we can buy it at anytime but not at the price of 80k$ and 90k$ because we are not just holding it but we have to take benefit and profit from it so if we buy at such a high price then how we will take benefit from it.

In 2016: $400~$700 price range, was $10k worth buying? The answer was no, it seems impossible to get that high.
ATH 2017: $20k

In 2019: $3k~$11k price range, was $30k worth buying? The answer was also no.
ATH 2021: $67k

In 2023 (current): $17k~$31k price range, is $90k worth buying? The answer is no.
ATH xxxx: $xxk (coming soon)

In 2026: $xxk~$xxk price range, is $200k worth buying? The answer is no.
ATH xxxx: $xxk (coming soon)

etc...
Hope someone will find this post in 2033 and tag me with the last ATH price then.. Wink
849  Other / Archival / Re: [Discussion] Project NO-KYC CEX on: June 30, 2023, 10:35:28 AM
I hope your efforts are not in vain especially with your money for the experiment. However, people have undeniable points about reputed exchanges if they had to choose one they should trust regardless of KYC policies.
Btw, I was following a similar project (paid) by a user on this forum around 2019 to search all the exchanges that existed that year. IIRC that's about over 2k small crypto exchange entities that have been discovered. I'll look for a post about the project in question if I have some free time.
850  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 400$ Loan defaulted by [Yabes] on: June 30, 2023, 04:13:03 AM
He's a user from my local board who (I think only him) was active on collectibkes and auctions boards. I'd rather guess that there are obstacles in his real life than deliberately refuse to pay off the loan.
Just my assumption, don't know the actual situation. Hope he will be back soon.

flag supported.
851  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: June 30, 2023, 01:32:48 AM
I'm not sure I can avoid tax at all, in every purchase I'm subject to direct tax which slowly I don't realize that I'm not a bad person in this field.
But tax violations are legally and morally a crime, but sometimes it's worth looking at your country's tax management preferences occasionally. In my country, cases of tax corruption are very visible where tax people have unreasonable wealth (some have been dragged into cases of tax violations). At this point, they seem to lead people to think it's better to be bad people than to be good people to facilitate the real bad guys.
852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: June 30, 2023, 01:05:52 AM
Since strategy are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience?

Yeah that sounds irrelevant because you asked backwards, what if "what is the relevance of experience to changes in strategy"? It sounded sequential.
Your experience guides you to become a flexible trader according to market conditions. Traders without experience are of course a bit clumsy to make new decisions and most of them feel bound by the trading rules of the tips.
853  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore this Classic Business Law or Follow Your Instincts? on: June 29, 2023, 11:39:43 PM
How about training your instincts to first do a deep reset of whatever business scheme you just heard about? That way, your decision will be more mature.
I think the professionals on the show weren't talking instinct at all, but telling their practice how to engage in business procedurally. The answer is clear, instinct can't be relied upon in any action.
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you dare to pawn your bitcoin? on: June 29, 2023, 07:38:43 AM
- Would you approve of the possibility of leaving crypto as a deposit in a pawnshop?
Why not, at least the settling rules are more detailed about sharing profits or losses based on example scenarios like the 2nd comment. In turn, volatile collateral will burden one of the parties, the agreement on paper must be written in such a way.

- Has such a service not yet appeared in your country of residence?
Not yet

Quote
- How do you feel about the emergence of such new trends in the service sector?
This isn't new to the service sector, but I've never heard of an incorporated pawnshop adopting this.
855  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: June 29, 2023, 07:02:56 AM
After reading this thread I decided to remove all of my coins from Guarda & Exodus

What is the best choice for me? and Why?

Your concern has nothing to do with the Atomic Wallet incident, the reason to remove it sounds absurd, although it is true that the two wallets you used weren't the best advice but it's for other reasons.
I didnt find any better multi-coin wallet recommendations in this forum besides mycelium if you see the innate characteristics. However, the last security protection is in your hands. DWYOR
856  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: June 29, 2023, 05:52:38 AM
I think you capture the wrong moment about Bitcoin pumped where it happens when the world is out of the recession (there is a reverse conclusion in your perspective). Or you're willing to at least tell us in what country your base, which is likely your country is included in the lowest ranking row which is the latest reconstructing the economic crisis.
Plus, CBDC has nothing to do with Bitcoin prices.
857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microstrategy buys again! on: June 29, 2023, 05:35:48 AM
While it is an interesting move that we've been used to see them do, what if the time comes that they won't have to hold forever and just like us  they need to take profit from it?

Certainly it must involve several brokers with sufficient cash liquidity reserves. It's impossible to liquidate all at once, the more they stockpile, the more difficult it will be for them to determine profit scenarios.
And I don't think they'll use the same way again to make public noise, say they have to sell 10% of the holding then at least the market will react and on the next sale (if it's near) the risk won't get the same return value.
858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Service or Bot for effective and timely DCA execution? on: June 29, 2023, 05:00:27 AM
I don't want any bots to authorize my funds unattended because I have so much faith that it will be fine all the time. I imagined what it would be like if all my bitcoins were gone sometime before I realized it.
I don't care about the real-life activities, if I make DCA a new commit then I definitely have time to make purchases manually no matter how it's set up.
859  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to post in English in a Local Section on: June 28, 2023, 03:19:30 PM
I think there's leeway in speaking English on local boards if there's no express rule that it's forbidden or allowed (especially non-native mods). What I know in several countries actually makes English a second language in everyday or formal conversations and there are even laws covering it due to several factors.
In any case, just discuss specifically with local mods if it is necessary to make the rules more explicit.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Birthday Gift - Bitcoin on: June 28, 2023, 02:50:49 PM
I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges.

The fact is that there are many entry points for people starting their crypto journey like your girlfriend choosing to learn to trade. In this case, recommending her a good exchange wouldn't be a bad thing.

To teach someone crypto according to their preferences, you have to forget yourself as an idealist.
