What should I try? I configured the port number as you explain on your website (otherwise it would not work at all).

The actual ports for the pools are in the first post on this thread.
62  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [80 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC] SIMPLECOIN.US [PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 29, 2012, 06:47:08 PM
Very unstable atm

try hitting the pool port directly. I'm working on some other performance issues atm too. Once the other pools are down, I'll be implementing some proxy and pool server changes.

Is the hashrate display broken for VECTORS4? Running VEC2/AGG10/WS256 I get ~626MH at 1080/366 (about 10 mh/s less than diablo, not bad!).

If I use VEC4 my hashrate display doubles - ~1.22GH/s. I wish this wasn't a bug or something Shocked

Yes, I see this too at stock (1.09Gh v4 agg12). Although, shares are accepted..... gonna wait to see what my site says actual shares are

UPDATE: Actual Hashrate is about the same as vectors2. Seems like a reporting issue.

Nice work for sure! The more 7970 kernels the better Smiley

got a 1 card rig if you need it.

Shutdown TBX Smiley

Soon. Oh, so soon. I'm looking forward to being able to focus on just btc/nmc/ltc.
68  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [80 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC] SIMPLECOIN.US [PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 26, 2012, 07:30:26 PM
some parts of the pool are still up. maybe its just not accepting new connections b/c all my miners have not lost a connection are up. one that i just relaunched cannot connect.

All parts of the pool should now be up, along with the site. The TBX pool was zombied, and may have caused some connection issues with the proxy.
69  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [80 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC] SIMPLECOIN.US [PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 25, 2012, 01:20:13 PM
I'm having trouble staying connected so I tried going around your proxy with the ports listed in the first post, but they don't seem to work at all.  I can't even connect to port 8348.  Are those ports valid still?

Also, I was looking at the transaction log and I noticed some payments have fees, while others don't.  Any idea why this is?

New ports posted on first page of this thread Smiley Let me know if you can't connect now.
70  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [80 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC] SIMPLECOIN.US [PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 25, 2012, 01:16:27 PM
my fields seem to reset to 1% regardless

not that I mind paying 1%, please don't get me wrong...fair fee IMO, just saying, for me if I were to try to pay you nothing it seems like 1% is enforced.

Your Donation % field? You should be able to just put in 0, your account PIN, and hit update. It should not change afterwards.

No..... I changed them when I swapped to PSJ. I'll open up the new ports tomorrow.

Tx Fees aren't required. As such, some blocks don't have any.

Since I've received concerns from Prop pool users. The pool will close AFTER the next block is found, not on a set date.
73  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [23 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC/TBX] SIMPLECOIN.US [Prop/PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 22, 2012, 07:24:53 PM
No, I cannot freeze the estimate. Especially if you aren't participating in the pool. The estimate should drop as the number of shares for the block increases without you adding your own.

The estimate is not an earned balance, unconfirmed is not an earned balance (although it's close with smpps). The balance is the only real balance.

Ok, but I still do not understand why I got only ~2 coins of 12 while mining with simplecoin.us for a 9 days. Shares are increasing, my estimate balance is decreasing (quite fast I should say), but I got no income. What the sense?
As I understand, you think it is all ok with that? Should I just wait when balance will decrease to 0 and say "All right, guys, I'm finished."?
Is it some kind of table with such data like hashrate and interest-bearing deposit for each account?

This has been addressed several times in this thread. Your estimate is based on your shares in the current round. It will increase/decrease based on your participation and overall pool hashrate. Your reward calculation is simple and based on your % of shares in the round (or flat amount in smpps), the exact calculation is posted on the homepage of simplecoin.us. The math and calculations are solid and do not change.

Also, I have noted the removal of Proportional BTC/NMC/TBX/GG starting Feb 1, 2012. Please clear any TBX/GG Balances before that date to make the transition easier.

Thanks.  It does seem to be a frequent question, any chance of getting that added to the public stat page?

It's possible. I'm going to make some changes and add a poll for the consolidation of mm pools..... Once I have that figured out, I'll be making quite a few changes.
75  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [23 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC/TBX] SIMPLECOIN.US [Prop/PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 21, 2012, 11:25:21 PM
Could you add the current pool debt/balance to the list of pool stats for your SMPPS stats page?

I'd like to join but I don't want to blindly join a pool of this size without knowing it isn't in deep debt.  If you don't want to add it, would you mind sharing that balance here?

I did, just a page or two ago Smiley There was a buffer of 48btc, but I think it's closer to even now. It tends to sit very near even. The best/worst is +/- 200btc.

None of the pools are "Instant Payout", for that you want a PPS pool. All simplecoin pools are paid once a block is confirmed. Your contribution to that block is paid according to the pool type you selected based on the calculations on the pool home page. Once a block is confirmed for your pool, you can instantly payout. This is still a small pool and blocks are not found as often as on mega-pools. That said, though fewer payouts are found, your payout over time should be the same as anywhere else.

Ok, but why NMC/BTC I mined with simplecoin do not travel from "Estimate" to "Unconfirmed" such a long time? 9 days. Isn't it too long?

Which pool? Prop hasn't seen a block since the 3rd due to low hashrate. SMPPS has also been over a week.
78  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [23 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC/TBX] SIMPLECOIN.US [Prop/PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 20, 2012, 06:05:45 PM
Hi.
I used simplecoin.us for a while, but I don't satisfied how my BTC and NMC counters works. 9 days I had only "Estimate" growing, while mining of course, but apropriate "Unconfirmed" and "Balance" was 0 all the time. And only yesterday I notice some estimate->unconfirmed->balance movement.
Now I have 5 NMC and 5 BTC in "Estimate" column slowly decreasing (I have turned off mining with simplecoin) and again all counters in "Unconfirmed" column are 0. I just want instant payout. What should I do?
Sorry for my English.

it may be worth another look, I have read threads saying it has come a long way

edit

ok, I posted a plug and PMed Lorien over at [H]

Much appreciated!

Just an update: I will be removing GG & TBX pools at the beginning of February. There is rarely activity, and I'd prefer to concentrate on btc/nmc pool performance.
80  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [23 GH][0% Fee][Merged Mining/LTC/TBX] SIMPLECOIN.US [Prop/PPLNS/SMPPS] on: January 19, 2012, 12:28:59 AM
I will go do some recruiting on the [H]

the old thread there has seen some activity lately

I think the p2pool movement is taking a lot of the potential small pool contributors, not a bad thing in itself, I am pro decentralization.

I read somewhere there was a way to plug small pools into p2pool as a "node"? any possibility of that?

It wouldn't be hard to implement, but the performance of p2pool was lacking when I looked into it.
