61  Economy / Economics / Re: "Ben Bernanke is going to get fucked! hes going to get fucked!" - Max Keiser on: May 24, 2013, 03:39:56 AM
Everyone is just going to step in line and follow whatever Bernanke does.  They can bitch and moan about it all day, but in the end he is in control and everyone has to do what he says.  And what is this QE3/n you mention?  I thought it was QE∞?  The American economy will never be "fixed", the US Dollar will never be "fixed".  All you can do is try to live as much as you can on the BTC side to cast your vote against him.  Pay your bills, buy your food, pay your rent, do as much as possible with all the new BTC services out there.
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox UP other LOWER : my theory ! on: May 24, 2013, 03:30:13 AM
CampBX just briefly peaked in price over Gox.  Kind of odd.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 24, 2013, 03:28:33 AM
CampBX just peaked above Gox at $128.00.  Is that a sign?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Q] Who are the old guard coin minters? on: May 23, 2013, 01:25:00 PM
One way to look at the developers is to go here https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/network and scroll down, look at the left column.  Those are the people who have forked, developed, pull requested, and possibly made it into the main bitcoin branch.
65  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: CGMINER different settings for 2 different gpus on: May 23, 2013, 07:07:53 AM
I could never get multiple instances to work, but the author suggests using the --remove-disabled flag in addition to what you are trying to do.

Poke around on github.com . Stare at the code for a couple million hours.  Realize you are an IT guy and not really a programmer.  Fork the code and try anyway.

That's what I do.

Jizzed in my pants.

That node has looked like that for as long as I can remember (basically since that particular map was first created).
It's because it isn't a single person/pool, it is the "other" category that centers itself on the country.  I read the whole thread and nobody seemed to pick up on this.  Basically, if the software that generates that graph can't locate the true position it lumps it all into a bar on the center of the country.  It is always the largest bar.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In other News BTC is taking off on: May 18, 2013, 12:59:30 AM
You would be correct EXCEPT WDC is definitely the most profitable at the moment.

At the moment based on hyped-up trades on the subforum here? Perhaps.

Will it continue this momentum for longer than a week? I highly doubt it.

Oh I agree but of the coins this one has FTC hype and staying power now the real trick is can it survive an exchange. BTC is king LTC is queen the question is who are the princess's and princes's
And who are the bastard children? lol  Been watching a lot of Game of Thrones lately.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In other News BTC is taking off on: May 18, 2013, 12:30:47 AM
http://www.coinchoose.com/ - And Bitcoin has been the most profitable coin to mine for the last couple days every time I checked.  That won't stop the legions of newbs from mining each new coin that comes out every couple hours, though.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Why Worldcoin is a SCAM "WDC" on: May 16, 2013, 03:43:13 AM
To the OP,

There are literally thousands, if not tens of thousands of geeks ready to download a new altcoin source/binary the very MILLISECOND it comes out.  Some of them have 100Mbps+ connections.  Some of them have machines set up to mine that coin a few seconds after downloading what they need.

Do not QQ and yell scam if you aren't the first person to mine a new altcoin and become a billionaire.

Everybody else who starts these stupid threads needs to realize this and shut the hell up.  Nevermind, I'm fucking naive if I think that will ever happen.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 15, 2013, 11:23:20 PM
Yeah I usually dump hour 1 when they hit the first real exchange.  I guess I am impatient this time.

That's the only thing I won't do is send them to somebody for free.  Even if they are only worth 0.0000001 I will still trying to sell them.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 15, 2013, 09:17:29 PM
Where can I sell my 99 worthless Elacoins?  Google doc exchange didn't look like it had any action on it.  Don't trust p2p trades, never done one, don't want to do the web of trust thing, etc.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: sending money over gmail, Google has unveiled their Bitcoin killer ;) on: May 15, 2013, 09:00:05 PM
I think it's a good idea actually.  I currently pay rent with Dwolla, but that was complicated as hell to explain to the receiving party and it takes forever.  And now they are shutting down business with Gox so I might abandon them.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Pirates Treasure Hunt for Gold BARS 'BitBars" on: May 15, 2013, 05:32:45 AM
pirateat40?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins - what are they made of? on: May 15, 2013, 04:55:13 AM
OK, if FeatherCoin actually has a real material in it's name, why did you make it look like wood?
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: How strong is your hand? on: May 15, 2013, 01:42:52 AM
Don't end up with nothing, like the poor Rockbiter:

- They look like big, good, strong hands, don't they?

- I always thought that’s what they were. My little friends. The Bitcoin, the Litecoin, even the stupid Feathercoin. I couldn’t hold on to them. The crappy fiat pulled them right out of my hands. I failed.
The Nothing is Coming!

Quick, we need to give the princess a new name!

Currently the market is sinking, hard.  Artax!!

Personally, I would take the racing snail on the way back up in this market.

80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dwolla can no longer process deposits or withdrawals to MtGox on: May 14, 2013, 09:55:20 PM
This fuckin sucks.  This was the only way I moved USD into and out of Gox.  What is the status on Paxum and Gox?  I still have a Paxum account when they were briefly an option.
