61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 16, 2020, 05:34:50 PM
Look at what happening around. The first cryptocurrency bitcoin was invented to reduce the hassle of third party and have borderless transaction. Isn't it true? Now, look at what happening. People are more into investing it than using it as currency.
Most interesting is people are most interested in coin which give more ROI, they are not interested in the currency-ish of a currency.
For example, some people are talking a lot about BSV, but if they have some research, they will never take it as currency, but as this is giving a good return now, it's best for them. Why man? Why don't we look into a decentralized coin? Why do we only take it as investment? Did Satoshi ever take it as investment? Or he invented Bitcoin for borderless payment and solution to the intermediaries problem?

You do have a point. But as of now,  crypto being a currency or just mainly an investment asset already depends on how an individual perceives and uses it. Maybe most of us are seeing it as a currency which is made to break down the issue for a third party and to provide convenient and decentralized currency experience. But there are people who look cryptocurrency mainly as an investment asset which serves as an income generator only and not actually a currency at all. We cannot blame them because cryptocurrency is flexible enough to act depending on how we wish to use it and how we need it on our daily life basis. I agree that cryptocurrency cannot replace fiat because both are acting based on how they supposedly be and to maintain the balance in the economic sector. Fiat and cryptocurrency have their own unique features which makes them different not just in platform but as well with their usage. No one must be replaced nor eliminated among those two because both have their own roles to play in people's lives. We just need to sort out how we can incorporate on using fiat as is and cryptocurrency as is without overlapping each other's roles.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 16, 2020, 04:59:05 PM
I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position

It is a good and a righteous decision to make on selling some coins for the sake of buying more Bitcoin because it can be more reliable and as of the moment, the price is striking into the positive direction which is a good kick start for this year 2020. Just sell those whom you think are not worthy for long term holding or those that have been stored for a long term but still no improvement or nothing happens after a long period of time being hold. Sacrificing those coins will be worth it because you will be purchasing Bitcoin which we all know is really a potential and reliable cryptocurrency of all times. If you are planning to sell new Altcoins, still it will be good if you will be buying another Altcoin instead of Bitcoin but just assure that it is worth it for a long term hold for the reason that Altcoin market is still struggling to rise though there are improvements being showcased on their part. If you do really a secure investment after selling your coins, it will be your decision if you will go all out into Bitcoin or part of it will be invested also into some potential Altcoins of your choice.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: January 16, 2020, 04:25:30 PM
It is good that we are all helping hand on hand to keep our mates here in the forum be updated and aware of the latest happenings and discoveries on what we have recently discovered roaming around the forum to let other people know about such existing scam projects that they must avoid so that the victims will be lessen and the best is that no single victim will fall into their trap. It is really in need that before jumping or getting engage into such projects is we must first educate ourselves about the background of the project by doing thorough research so that we can figure out more information regarding the project for our own good sake at first and once proven is that we can share it to others. We can create a safe working space for all of us here in the industry we are all into which is basically working into cryptocurrency if we will be helping out each other, educating each other and also helping ourselves first to understand cryptocurrency so that we can avoid and not fall into scam projects out there.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: January 16, 2020, 03:47:22 PM
Due to lack of prior knowledge about something new which they wish to try to test their luck also added by desperation to gain instant profit or money makes people get easily scammed on internet. Many people are taking advantage and making schemes to make those kind of people to believe into something which is promising that is not totally true. Because people nowadays are seeking for ways to earn easy money, they always jump into conclusion that if they cannot find ways from the real world maybe the answer can be found through online. In this desperate move, scammers are being fed by people that are easily being manipulated to invest money which they do not totally know or understand on how will it be used because their mindset is being focused into the promise of large feedback from a site or stranger that offers them to make their money larger in just a short span of time. If you were a wise individual, you can easily determine at the first place if something is going wrong most specially with a short span of time your money can be multiplied into a larger amount which is impossible to make happen even on real life businesses. People get easily scammed even on obvious schemes because of lack of knowledge and better understanding of what they are usually getting into due to desperation of earning instant money through online.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the altcoin market being manipulated in 2020? on: January 16, 2020, 03:08:50 PM
Hello There!  Wink

At one time, I stopped being interested in the altcoin-markets because of the situation there. Famous projects were dropping their bags off to gullible investors to get even more money.

Do you think the situation has changed in the year 2020?  Huh
Is it safe to trade ERC-20 tokens and is it possible to earn something else?

Due to the recent happenings that includes ICO projects which most of the Altcoins we know as well as those that existed in the market came from, which includes scam and failed projects, people are suddenly losing their interest of getting into Altcoin which makes it to have a bad impression specially for the newbies that are avoiding to invest into Altcoins so they mainly focus their attention in just getting into Bitcoin. We are just getting started in this year 2020 and this was still too early to conclude if the situation has already changed or not for the Altcoin market. But there could be a possibility that the bad impression about Altcoins will change once people realize that not all Altcoins are bad because there are still existing once that are good and have the potential of growing and be profitable. People have just lessen and diverted their interest from Altcoins to Bitcoin due to bad happenings and the sudden drop on prices of the Altcoins that exist in the market but if that scenario will be changed into something good this year, probably, Altcoins will regain the interest of the investors and the Altcoin market will soon to be lively again.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am done with KYC on: January 15, 2020, 04:57:09 PM
There is one thing I have realized from my experience with KYC for bounties. Almost all the projects I have provided my personal information to them failed to even get listed on exchanges and the project dies off. Surprisingly, those that didn't require KYC paid me and the project is truly developing. My point is, am beginning to think those project requesting hunters to go through KYC are just in for their information to trade and do not have any intentions to develop their crypto project so let's be vigilant about whom we carelessly give our details to, for some peanuts...May God bless our hustle

There can also be serious threats and risks that can be associated with that because we are in this forum in the form of anonymity in which we work with the use of usernames in which we do not provide our real and whole identity. But with KYC (know your customer) we are revealing ourselves from anonymity although it is just for the sake of avoiding multiple accounts in a single user, it is still risky to let other people to know information about you to someone else you do not personally know. Well, I understand the essence but still it is risky and the sad thing is that those projects who seeks and requires KYC failed to commit and provide the rewards which seems to be the information you have provided is filled up with nothing in exchange which is seems to be unworthy. So we must limit the information we provide online and just provide those that are not too personal to avoid stealing of identity as well.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to invest in Tezos in 2020 on: January 15, 2020, 04:36:27 PM
Well!! The crypto market is booming really well in the crypto space, as one of the altcoin called tezos is performing really good.

Several crypto experts assume that tezos have the potential to the its show ability in the upcoming years.
Read https://coinpedia.org/price-prediction/tezos-xtz-price-prediction/

Let me know your point of view on this?

Well, almost all cryptocurrencies do also have their perfect time to boost their potential of growing. It's just that time becomes the main barrier together with some contributing factors that affect for cryptocurrency to reach their desired price. I have read about Tezos in the article you have provided and it seems really promising and do have a potential growing out from many years of price prediction. Maybe this year will be a fruitful and prosperous year for Tezos, as well as with the other Altcoins out in the cryptocurrency market since the prices are already rising as of the moment of early year of 2020. There are still lots of time remaining so we cannot say and conclude what can truly happen but just to hope for the best thing to come and may the price prediction of rising the price will come into reality.

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Need Bitcoin, If Altcoins Transfers Are Faster And Cheaper on: January 15, 2020, 03:36:24 PM
It is normal or natural that people become Bitcoin reliant due to many personal reason. Indeed Altcoins do provide faster and cheaper charges and transactions compared to Bitcoin that is because usage of Bitcoin is really in demand in which there are massive volumes of transactions in every single time that are needed to be processed that makes the transaction a little bit slower compared to Altcoins. When it comes to price, same with the transaction, you needed to pay for transaction fee to make the processing faster that depends on the wallet or exchange itself. Also, Bitcoin can be converted into many types of fiat currencies that are already available in to any wallet you have which makes it more convenient compared to Altcoins. Well actually, both are useful and worthy, it just takes time and patience to earn and process the transaction and the processing fee changes depending on the volatility and volume demand process taken up in a single time. But still it is up for you if you will be mainly into Bitcoin or Altcoin or you can do have both.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in 2020 on: January 15, 2020, 03:11:40 PM
Cryptocurrencies are still a good option to invest in 2020. The market is full of cryptocurrencies, but not all are worth the investment. If you don't know what cryptocurrency is good for you, read our article about top 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in 2020

You got it right. Cryptocurrencies are still good investment for this year 2020 because with the advent of the modernization and continuous improvement of the technology we have today it is undeniable that the cryptocurrency is still into hit and is worthy as an asset. It is indeed that there are lots of cryptocurrencies that are existing into the vast market of crypto we are currently into. Upon choosing the best crypto that will suit your preference, it will be the best thing and option to choose it and seek it on your own because you are the only one who will know if the behavior of the crypto will suit the contributing factors you consider on your own on choosing your crypto. But the list you have provided gives a big help specially for the newbies in the crypto community that are still taking their first steps on determining and knowing what cryptocurrency really is. But among those that are included in the list, I have already got into Ripple and Ethereum which I do believe worthy and have the potential of growing.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding multiple altcoins on: January 14, 2020, 04:50:03 PM
Many of us prefer to hold multiple kind of coins. What do you prefer: holding it in a sigle kind of wallet or have it on a different kind of wallet?

Personally, I prefer to store in an opensource multi wallet that support all my preferred coin and even ERC20 token, its the only opensource multiwallet available called Hodler and so far I find it good. Do you think, this is really good idea?

For most of us, its been natural or normal to acquire different kinds of Altcoins which can come directly from projects or directly purchased from the market to be able to have a wide source of potential profit which will take some time. In my case, I do acquire lots of Altcoins but I always do assure it is worthy and is good for long term holding that is why I do prefer storing them into just a single wallet wherein I can do access all of my altcoins in just a single tap or scroll monitoring how the prices behave and decide whether I will sell or keep on holding it for a while. But, even if I prefer storing them up into a single wallet, I always keep and take note of lots of security features to keep my assets safe and secure backing up my password into a flashdrive and put it into a volt wherein I am the only one who can access. The risk of storing up all your assets into a single wallet is once that it is hacked, all of your assets will be gone which I am aware so I always take precautionary measures before I open up my wallet because once it's gone, it can never be retrievable once again.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins profit ... Which altcoin is best for profits? on: January 14, 2020, 04:10:35 PM
As which coin i need to invest in it.
ETH and BNB are altcoins which in my opinion have very good potential lately, especially altcoin BNB really shows a significant increase, many investors are investing BNB and many traders are trading these coins.

Well, you are right. I do also think that Ethereum (ETH) belongs to those Altcoins that are best for profitable purposes. Maybe we are just seeing that its price is still not climbing up into a more desirable price for other people but still it is a potential coin that is worth to invest with. When it comes to BNB, I agree, many investors are getting into this altcoin which will exclusively conclude that it is also a potential coin worth investing with in this year 2020. Well, I guess the other altcoins that are also worth for investment and will provide good profit are those Altcoins that belong to the top rank because people makes demand on them that increases its volume on demand that make its price to grow providing profit. There are lots of potential Altcoins worth investing with that can give you profit but for me Ethereum together with those that belongs to the top rank Altcoins list will be the safest cryptos to invest with if you are having a hard time looking for your own.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thoughts on my portfolio please on: January 14, 2020, 03:34:17 PM
I bought most of my holdings in the last few months and while I'm down about 15% I think I made a sound long term investment, any suggestions on whether I made a good choice? Smiley

Seems like you have invested larger amount of your money into Ethereum compared to Bitcoin. Well, that was just fine because it seems that you primarily entrust your money to Ethereum than Bitcoin. But for me, on my stand, I would rather go for a higher investment on Bitcoin than Ethereum specially as for now that the price of Bitcoin is continuously step by step rising at each moment of time which is really good and more profitable to your account. Well, the other assets into your portfolio seems to be nice because you would not put such into your portfolio if you did not see any potential on those coins. Well, the prices into your account will still change in which you can liquidate those you will observe to be unworthy and change into other sort of Altcoins in the market because still there are lots of potential coins in the market. But as of the moment, your portfolio looks good and it would be better on my opinion if you will put larger investment always into the part of Bitcoin rather than Altcoins although both have potential, but being practical specially with the current situation that Bitcoin's price is rising, it will be more beneficial having larger investment into Bitcoin.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Altcoins Won't Moon Can't I Just Short the Hell Outta Them??? on: January 14, 2020, 03:02:39 PM
I waited for alt season for many months now and it seems that instead of a bull run, all I do is bleed. So, I'm thinking this hodling thing ain't working for me anymore, is there any decentralized platform that allows me to short all possible altcoins out there? It's time to bet against the market.

Unfortunately, for now, I'm only aware of the fulcrum.trade leveraging platform. It only allows me to short a few cryptos: Eth, WBTC, LINK, ZRX and KNC. Need another one with more options.

Any ideas guys?

It seems that you have already get into the limit of your patience into holding your assets for a long time around. Well, I cannot blame you for having a mindset like that because it seems that you have already a hard time on keep on holding into your assets. We all have different views into the different behavior the market is showing us so we also do have different approach on how we will handle the situation. Well, if you have already decided on what to do with you assets, still the decision will be up into you since you have the right to do such. But if you will just be sorting out those unworthy coins, those that are not good for long term holding from those that have potential and leaving them for good, it will be a good move so sell out your undervalued or unworthy coins to use the to purchase more potential Altcoins. When it comes to leverage, I haven't been into such because holding still takes effect on me. It just take some time and patience and I have strong belief into my assets so I do not worry because for me good things come in perfect time.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto is good for long trading? on: January 14, 2020, 02:22:32 PM
Hello people! I'm just wondering.. Aside from bitcoin, what are the other crypto that you are trading? And do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance..

If you are just new into the cryptocurrency community, the safe answer for your question will be just follow the trend of people who invest into the top performing or ranked cryptocurrencies which is just easy to search over the internet. Investing into those Altcoins that belongs to the top rank will be the safest choice and move for newbies specially for those who do not really have a background experience about cryptocurrency. Top ranked Altcoins like Ethereum will be a good choice because it has already proven its capacity and capability based on its past performance in the market and it is also one of those cryptocurrencies that people demand aside from Bitcoin. But if you already have background and you are up into exploration into new Altcoins or even those that have already existed a long time ago, you will be able to find potential Altcoins that is worthy for trading, and you will be the one to determine and decide based on your standard for a cryptocurrency coin. Doing research for your own sake will be good on looking for potential coins but since you are new, getting into the top ranked Altcoins will do for now until you familiarize everything about cryptocurrency.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: January 13, 2020, 05:14:27 PM
In any thing we do, having regulations is always good because it provides balance and maintains the order on a system. Applying it into the cryptocurrency industry will also be good in a sense that having regulations will control the usage of cryptocurrencies in a matter that it will be specified on how they will supposedly be used and it will also keep on track those cryptocurrencies that are used for bad objectives. Having regulations within the crypto space will provide all of us a safe work place to get in, in which we will be safe and secured. But before enclosing or implementing such regulations on the cryptocurrency will be a challenging one because there are lots of things to be considered which can be favorable to one part and not on the other part and then vise versa. So regulations that will be made must be stated and known by the public to avoid confusion and create misunderstanding. If we do really want regulations to be implemented, we must set it on the part where all of us have decided and acknowledge as one. Regulations can be good or bad depending on how it is being conducted or implemented but having regulations will serve us a good quality of work place where standards have been all set to avoid bad things to happen.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 start of a fresh market for crypto. on: January 13, 2020, 04:41:45 PM
I'm a little relieved entering 2020. Bitcoin has touched $8000. Hopefully a good step for the future. 2020 needs improvement on crypto market. Investors and traders will have new spirit and trust if they find good things this year.

Surely it will. As long as the positivity continues to get into the crypto market, many potential members that can turn into potential investors will dive in into the crypto community. It is really a good news that Bitcoin have already touched the $8,000 price mark after the long time of downfall. This shows that this year have gone into a good start which seems to be a good sign that will encourage all of us to keep on working out into earning more potential cryptocurrency aside Bitcoin that also have the capacity and capability to improve as time passes by. I do also hope and believe that this year will be a fresh start and prosperous year for the whole cryptocurrency community that I wish to just continue to happen. We are just stepping into the first month of the year 2020 so there are still a lot of things this year will soon to offer us which we surely do hope to be good and positive as well as favorable to all of us.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Strategy: Withdraw 50% ETH and looking to invest in Altcoin on: January 13, 2020, 04:12:10 PM
Well, I am thinking about investing in Titan coin. Yeah, I researched on this coin a lot and now the project is delivering the apps, exchanges, offers as they promised earlier.

My current portfolio includes

6K$ = BNB
4K$ = EOS
10K$ = ETH
5K$ = BTC

Total: $25k

Now, I would like to include the titan coin in my portfolio: $5K

6k$ = BNB
4k$ = EOS
5k$ = TTN
5k$ = ETH
5K$ = BTC

My strategy is to sell 50% eth coins and invest in TTN Coin. What’s your suggestions experts?
I would like to know your honest review and suggestion on my decision.

PS:-

Thank you everyone for your wonderful replies. Most of the suggestions shared here recommend that I stay invested in my current folio. But, I prefer to change my portfolio on a regular basis, and this time I am considering to add an altcoin.

Now, to answer your question as to why I am considering the Titan coin, here are the 4 key points that I like about this coin (project).

- The use cases are real, which, to be honest, are still missing from most of the new cryptocurrencies out there. The team is launching (some already launched) a number of apps that will provide actual cases for the use of titan coin as a payment currency. Moreover, they are also partnering with merchants worldwide to integrate titan coin as a global payment method (as I got to know after discussing with the owner himself). So, I think the scope is good.

Launch of Titan Family Security App
Titan Sales Reporting App Launch
Swapping of Titan Coins
Titan Payment Gateway completed
Titan Premier League: TPL
TTNEX
Legalisation of Crypto in Armenia and Nigeria Government
Titan Dating app
Forming partnerships with investors, organisations, merchants and businesses worldwide

- As for the coinmarketcap status of the coin not looking good at present, one must understand that the coin is still in the early stage (not more than a startup) and it takes time for any good project to show its true potential. I am just starting to believe in its potential.

- Another thing that intrigues me about titanprojects is that it is a self-funded project, where all the investments (as of yet) have been made by the owners and partners. Given that they have no external investments and yet they have managed to develop their own blockchain, apps, digital payment system, exchange and cryptocurrency in a very short period of time, I believe they are very serious about it all. And I think any investor would want to fund this project, now that the product is ready.

After a detailed conversation with the owner himself, I got to know about his interesting ideas of creating a global digital payment ecosystem powered by the Titan coin. In fact, I am now genuinely interested in becoming an investor. What about you?

Withdrawing such a great percentage of amount from your ETH balance which will be accumulated to 50% is a real big decision to make. But still it is up to you since you will be needing to sacrifice for the sake of exploring into other sort of potential Altcoins in the market which you think that will provide you profit to sustain the capital you have invested for those. Deciding to sacrifice on withdrawing your ETH's 50% amount surely take you a lot of time to finally arrive into a final decision because we all know that among the Altcoins out there in the cryptocurrency market, ETH is being one of the most potential and popular cryptocurrency coin that is next to Bitcoin when it comes to demand, price as well as popularity. Doing such great decision will be a one way and no turning back once you have already invested it into those Altcoins you desire to add up into your portfolio. Just be sure of those coins you will choose that it will provide you a desirable profit so that the big decision and sacrifice you have made will all be worth it.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin hit 15K in 2020? on: January 12, 2020, 06:45:58 PM
I personally think that it can be possible for Bitcoin to reach such desirable price this year 2020 if you will be checking at the Bitcoin's current price state as of the moment which is playing between $7,500 up to $8,000 which is literally half way down there to that desirable price. It could be possible to happen if the price will continuously rise or increase as the days, weeks or months passes by. We are just into the first month of the year so we cannot further conclude if that price range will be or will not be possible to be achieved since there could be a lot of things and happenings to come that can be a contributing factor that will help Bitcoin to rise up its price or the other way around of being a hindrance to it for rising its price. The important thing we must focus for now is the present for it is where we reside right now and just wait to see what could possibly happen on the next days of this year. But hoping that only best things are soon to come which I bet we all desire.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting for the rise of all altcoins on: January 12, 2020, 06:01:53 PM
I believe that the time will come, slowly the altcoin starts to crawl up now and my hope is that by the end of the year it will be like this last year. The number of short positions fell to a historic low. This suggests that the bears have exhausted their strength, and perhaps soon we will see the growth! I hope so.

There will really be a perfect time for everything. We have waited for much long last year 2019 for the Bitcoin's price to rise as well as with the Altcoins but that year leave us all hanging for expectation. But good thing that as this year 2020 have entered our calendars, we have seen the increase on Bitcoin's price value which is a good indication for a good start of this year. Surely those Altcoins that depend their prices from Bitcoin have benefitted into the rise of the price for as early as this year have started. I do hope also that the same thing will apply into the part of Altcoins that the prices will increase its prices or let us just say at least improve on a step by step on a daily or even weekly or monthly basis. The important thing that we must see is that there is a positive movement on the price of all Altcoins is already enough for me. I am not really expecting that much anymore of a all time price hike like what happened way back year 2017 because it seems incomparable for today's situation. Improvement on the prices on both Bitcoin and Altcoins will be a great motivation for this year for me but if it will be possible to experience a great rise on the prices of both, why not? It will be the greatest pleasure to experience it.
