601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is a community behind a crypto project? on: August 17, 2018, 03:26:14 PM
Hello all,

I came across this article that talks about the importance of a community backing a project, how important do you think it is? Do you think they can get by through large marketing budgets instead? and do you agree with the article?

https://medium.com/crowdholding-innovation-platform/why-do-you-need-to-build-a-loyal-community-for-crypto-projects-14b9207608c2

Community support is very important in crypto as the community tells the value of the cryptocurrency. Having a large community base tells something about the potential of the coin. Just look at the top coins in the market right now, these are supported and have large community base.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which month most properly invest in crypto currency? on: August 17, 2018, 03:21:02 PM

hello i am confused what month i am investing in crypto currency because now months i do not know because too low market value.

should I invest now what is it and lost?

thank you Smiley

The market is down right now and will still be maybe until the next month. I think the market will correct itself start of the fourth quarter just like other previous years. Then will be bullish start of the last couple of months of this year if the pattern from previous years is the same. So, investing now to legit coins is a good time as their price are still cheap. Prices will get high once the market starts its uptrend.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your experience in trading? on: August 16, 2018, 09:56:24 AM
Hi guys,
I have read a lot about trading. I think knowledge is endless, so I need to hear more from you.
 Thank
I have been trading for quite a while now and i think it is the fastest means to earn crypto right away. You can buy low and sell after at a higher price. But be sure to watch closely the market if you are trading. I can rise and dip so fast you won't be able to trade right away.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing decision on: August 16, 2018, 09:51:59 AM
Is current time good for buy more coin?
Normally, I will buy more when the price of coin is dropped. But with this situation of the market, I doubt the effectiveness of buying decision. Please give me an advise!
As long as you are investing to a legitimate coin its good to hodl coins. Especially for coins with long-term potential. If you have the resources then buy now while prices are very low. You will earn big when the prices go high.
605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Bitcoin reached its goal? on: August 16, 2018, 09:48:23 AM
I'm not referring to the price of Bitcoin (we all know it's going to be $250,000/coin by 2022), but the goal that it would be a legitimate alternative to inflationary government fiat currencies.  When the altcoin market is examined, it is inextricably linked to the price of Bitcoin.  Where Bitcoin goes, so does the rest of the cryptocurrencies.  There's even somewhat of a dismissive attitude toward other crytpos in some investment circles; strangely this was a similar sentiment held by those "respectable" investors when Bitcoin was in its infancy.

What do you think?  I'd love to hear from some crytpo veterans.
Bitcoin is creating a lot of awareness right now that it is almost going mainstream. But I think it has not reach its goal yet as acceptance about this kind to currency it not yet universal. But it is showing a positive sign.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look at the market, are you scared? on: August 15, 2018, 12:29:45 PM
I think the crypto market is experiencing a similar pattern as the previous years when it started. A slow rise and fall of prices during the early and mid part of the year and a steep rise at the end. I would start getting afraid when during the fourth quarter of this year and still the prices is in the dip.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: August 15, 2018, 12:21:23 PM
BITCOIN vs ETH ? your thoughts ?

This has been debated many times already in many threads here. I think both are different but equally important in the crypto industry. Bitcoin operates on a proof-of-work basis. Proof-of-work means that in order to create blocks and add them to the blockchain you must solve very complex mathematical problems.
on the other hand, Ethereum was designed to be much more than a payment system. A decentralized platform that runs smart contracts: applications that run exactly as programmed without any
possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third party interference.

610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the mission of crypto? on: August 11, 2018, 02:21:19 PM
When it was conceived, cryptocurrency was supposed to be a medium of exchange like normal currencies such as USD, but designed for the purpose of exchanging digital information. Cryptocurrency was created as a decentralized virtual currency that uses cryptography for security making it difficult to counterfeit and since it is not issued by a central authority you are confident that the governments can’t take it away from you.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge for Newbie on: August 11, 2018, 01:48:58 PM
As a newbie, which is the best to do; To invest(earn) or to Learn(for how long)?

I would say that before doing any crypto activities you must learn first as much as possible about the technology and the industry. Learn until you get the confidence to invest or to trade cryptos. When investing, only invest what your willing to lose so you won't panic during the ups and downs of prices.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the bounty tokens can be sold? on: August 11, 2018, 01:43:23 PM
Guys, what is percentage of bounty projects which do not care about listings? Tell me, please, based on your own experience, of course. I mean that some part of them(projects tokens) are not tradable as the team does not care about listings.

Computing the bounty campaign I joined that only gave rewards, I would say that I got only around 60%. A lucky number knowing that more than 80% of ICO campaigns are scams based on reports. Reasons, why they did not give rewards, are either they did not reach cap, the project did not continue, or simply the management just disappear.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO VS TRADING on: August 10, 2018, 04:34:16 PM
I want to start investing for ico and trading. Please to help from where should I start?

What needs to be prepared and cared for before starting it?

I am very grateful for the members who helped me in this forum.

and maybe this can also re-remind the new citizens who want to enter the world of investment (trading and ico).

thanks

This question had been asked many times over in this group. Buying in ICO gives you the opportunity to get coins at a much lower and discounted price. Once you have the token, you can choose to hold it long-term and get big rewards in the future. While in trading, you get rewards from the activity right away as you buy when price is low and sell when it is high. buy in trading, you must be constantly monitoring your assets as the price of crypto changes unpredictably.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: August 10, 2018, 04:25:54 PM
The market right now is favorable for buying altcoins that have long-term potential as there are very cheap. Hold it until the market corrects itself and becomes bullish so you will get great rewards for your investments.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many altcoins on: August 09, 2018, 03:36:22 PM
With the wide array of altcoins available in the crypto market, how do you choose which one to invest on, which one to buy and which of these altcoins worth holding?

The increasing number of altcoins only shows the great development of the crypto industry and the blockchain technology. Which I think is good. I think it's up to the user to research and choose the best crypto by choosing the ones which has the best long-term potential and legit team behind it
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty managers to be blamed? on: August 09, 2018, 03:23:07 PM
So ones again we have been scammed by another ICO known as Uchit. Now people have started raining insults and curses on the bounty manager that he has led them to be scammed. Despite the numerous apologies from the manager, bounty hunters do not seem to understand. Now my question is, do you think bounty hunters must be blamed when we are scammed because they knew what the ICO was up to, even from the beginning?

Like the bounty participants, bounty managers also apply to manage campaigns in exchange for token rewards. Im sure they also researched the project as they know their rank is at stake if the campaigns go wrong. They have control on who to among the bounty participants will be allowed to join but I think they can not control if the project go scam.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I like to collect the token on: August 09, 2018, 03:15:16 PM
Do you have a preference for collecting tokens instead of selling them?
Currently in my wallet there are more than 200 tokens with different values and I do not sell them every time it is listed. I keep them and watch them every day. I was fascinated by the fact that there were many tokens in my wallet and not paying attention to their price.
Do you think this is a crazy hobby?

I can relate to you and doing the same. There's just joy seeing your assets everyday increasing its number. Or maybe I am just hopeful that the next big bullish market will happen soon so I could exchange my crypto holdings.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the new strategy? on: August 08, 2018, 11:32:38 AM
I remember several projects that are listed on the exchange before being distributed to bounty hunters. The price in this case also fell immediately after the listing.

That is a way for the project to protect their investors from price dumps. Some also employ lock-in periods that gradually tokens from wallet for a certain period before they can be traded in excahnge. Others lock all holdings until they have listed the coins in top exchanges.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: August 05, 2018, 01:08:00 PM
So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

Don't add more to your loss by selling your holdings. I am in the same shoes as you and feeling the loss also. It is best to hold and wait for the market to become bullish again. I am still confident the market will recover by the end of the year.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I continue to invest? on: August 05, 2018, 01:02:28 PM
I had invested one ICO previously, it failed although I didn't contribute a huge amount on it. A news yesterday made analysis on blockchain ICO projects, mentioning 92% of these ICO projects are failed.. Should I stop investing the others or any really potential ICO suggest?

Investing in ICO will be a great potential to get big returns on your investments. But with all the negative reports about scams, you need to be very careful in the projects you are joining. I think ICO still is a great crypto investment as long as you are sure of the project your joining.
