I live in Louisiana and some of the Google maps still show a couple of years after Hurricane Katrina (2005). Wow I can imagine that being very hard for people who lost everything.

For those who like technical analysis, we are witnessing a classic double bottom breakout : http://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/doublebottom.aspQuote: Most technical analysts believe that the advance off of the first bottom should be 10-20%. The second bottom should form within 3-4% of the previous low, and volume on the ensuing advance should increase.

This is no pump, for that the volume is too low (5k USD) what we are seeing is a market that is learning about Checkcoin. Well done team, the PR is working. Also no mayor pumpers are advocating ckc yet. Be ready folks this is just the start.
When the fudders start to appear and when twitter explodes we're in pump territory, we're nowhere near that.

I agree the more exposure the better, but the PR campaign has only just kicked off give it some time. There is still much more PR effort in the pipeline by the dev team. Paying individuals to support creates a lot of hot air and fake volume. I appreciate all the enthusiasm here but lets not rush things. In time we could do a raffle though, something like a lottery where a retweet gives you a chance to win x amount of ckc. Like altcoinherald does. That way there is an incentive to retweet without resorting to paid votes. All just my humble opinion of course

Paying people to tweet about Checkcoin is not a good idea. Market appreciation will come naturally, the only paid PR should be done by professionals, not individual supporters. Don't rush this coin. Be patient, the thunderclap is four days old. I repeat, do not pay people to support. It's like buying election votes, it's bad form.
This would be a basis for fud as people would call Checkcoin supporters 'paid shills' only marginal P and D coins resort to these measures. It's a really really bad idea.

Lots of buying, very little selling. No huge spikes, just a nice steady rise.
As this coin gains more attention FUDers will come in here and try to bring the price down to scoop cheap coins.
This is probably the only alt coin which could be useful and has the potential to go mainstream which is why I am holding and not day trading this coin.
We are currently the top 98th coin with a market cap at only $108,000. Lots more room for growth, hold tight!
+1 excellent post. I'm holding since the ICO. Fudders will come, but they have nothing. This is the first alt that has genuine legitimacy to exist besides Bitcoin. So I will only laugh at their attempts to bring us down. Enjoy the ride up, yes there will be bumps but looking at coinmarketcap.com the first 60 or so coins that have a higher market cap than ckc bring nothing new to the table. I'm not hating on their development because that is in some cases very good, but in a sense of potential mass market adoption they have no advantage over Checkcoin. I am glad I found this coin, and I love the positive vibe here. Together with the regular updates by the dev team this feels like a well oiled machine thundering moonward.

was hoping the press release would be a bit longer, but there is enough information in there to get people interested I hope It's a good thing the press release is concise, see it as an elevator pitch. It explains Checkcoin's fundamentals very well, that should garner some attention. If the PR was twice as long that wouldn't convince twice as many people. Investors and people in general are bombarded with info every day. The trick is to stand out, not merely to give an enormous amount of details. People will either do further research after they are drawn in by a press release or they will pass. An information overload or overly complicated text will do more harm than good in getting people's attention. In depth articles are great for new investors to educate themselves or perform due diligence as we call it. But the initial source of information, such as this press release, should be short and appealing. Source: years in corporate PR.

Remember that the block reward is only 10 coins per block. With the difficulty rising it tells us that although the mining reward has a low coin number, an increasing number of miners feel that their mined CKC will appreciate in value and will offset their mining costs. Mining difficulty is imho actually a decent predictor of market sentiment, which is bullish right now.

Damn, news is spreading rapidly. Well noticed! We are just getting started. Also Checkcoin is one of few coins that is trading well above ICO price, which is very rare in crypto. It's been gradually rising for months, and I've rarely seen such investor confidence as here. Once more people realise the potential of CKC they are bound to flock here, it's a safe haven from all the ambiguous scammy P&D coins with empty promises that flooded the market in the past months. Right now we are still below the radar, and investing now is a very smart move. This thread is calm, peaceful and positive. Be ready for the masses, once we gather more attention things will start to heat up.

if the transaction is confirmed on your wallet, contact the bittrex support , but may be it's a sign to hold your CKC ...
I was thinking the same thing I wouldn't sell a single CKC just as the snowball is starting to grow bigger. But he wanted to know so I thought I'd help FYI I am not planning on selling my CKC. On the contrary, I just want to have a few coins on the exchange to place some orders at a very high price (incase it hits). The vast majority of my coins are stalled offline. In addition, I am one of those "loyal" members to CKC. I am trying to get more people aware of Checkcoin . Thanks for the help guys. Cheers, Clyze Good to hear did the transaction confirm in the end?

I've been into this game for more than two years and it's so refreshing to hold a coin that has legitimate transparent and non anonymous development and groundbreaking tech in the works as well.

What do you think about to contact geocaching community? I sent an email to a french community and they are interested to post an article about it. We all need to promote checkcoin.
Just a thought: I hope we will be able to hide the checkpoint's reward!
Excellent idea, get as many people onboard as you can. First I thought I'd wait until the software is fully developed, but now would be a good time for people to join our ranks. The community is growing every day, which is a very good sign.
