601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Coronavirus never happened on: March 14, 2020, 12:29:51 PM
One thing is guaranteed that stock market prices wouldn't fall as much as it fell right now. I am not saying crypto is directly related because it is not related at all, but stock markets are definitely directly related considering billions of dollars (even trillions) exchange between nations all the time, some give their time, some give their products and some give their money but it changes hands every single day so when that exchange stops and everyone becomes their own individual there is no way finance gets no impact at all.

However, considering crypto is global and it is digital there is no way corona could ever affect bitcoin and crypto. All of this fall on price is basically just a fear but an empty fear that shouldn't have existed in the first place.
602  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TOP 6 RULES IN CRYPTO TRADING on: March 13, 2020, 05:25:53 PM
This reminds me of the guy that was asking whether he should recommend to his friend to borrow a loan and trade in cryptocurrency. That’s the worst idea man, people shouldn’t be taking loans to trade cryptocurrency, you might end up in loss and won’t be able to recover it and pay back. And along the line you might be tempted to invest extra money from that loan to recover what you have lost, but instead of wining you might even end up losing the rest.

So, it’s not a good idea. I have never taken a loan before, but if I decide to take a loan it wouldn’t be for a risky thing like cryptocurrency, I’d rather look for a better business to invest my money.

Actually I asked them about it a few days ago and they gave me a pretty solid feedback on the case ( via email ) , meaning that Bugsquasha was full of ....  , and it kind of seems so since he stated he would post a video about the same day which he never did . So most it's just another typical defamation case.
Yeah the thing is, they didn't do that here tho, if they did it here I would have been totally fine but as you can see even while we have been having this discussion for days now they have said basically nothing here at all about the subject. I mean come on! How hard is it to just come here and say "We know that there is someone who has claimed some stuff about our security but we have absolutely nothing to worry about and he is misleading everyone about us" and just move on? They are literally not doing anything about it, which has been what all I am saying.

I haven't said that bugsquasha is right, I haven't said fortunejack may have a problem, I only said that there has been no response at all and I can't just assume bugsquasha wrong, I have to wait for fortunejack to tell me something about it.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 13, 2020, 03:58:36 PM
There is controversial approach to what Gobert has done actually. People close to him or people who had a scare that they might have gotten corona from Gobert are finding him very guilty. Plus he was mocking about corona at locker room and touched everyone's stuff like he did with the mic thingy and now Donovan has corona as well, these dudes are 20+ year old sports players with high end medical experts around them so they will be fine, however he could have hurt someone who is on the older side with his carelessness, all of this makes people dislike him. However some small number of people including me think that what he did was idiotic but at least escalated the move quickly, thanks to his idiotic move NBA is now closed, if he didn't do it maybe there could have been more people infected, so his moronic move actually ended up being more helpful as well.

The guide is great, not many websites share the guide to play their games, even if it is looking so simple to play it is always wiser to just share it so that people who have no idea how it works could simply take a lookover and see how it works before they start.

I couldn't see the guide in the website, maybe you could position it around at the bottom where FAQ and ToS is for example so that people could click it and see the guide instead of just bitcointalk, or at the top with three lines where HoF and blog and trophies are, you can add it to there as well if you want to make it more visible. It is simply plinko and 99% of all gamblers probably heard of plinko and how it works and most of them even played on plinko at least couple of times as well since it was probably second most popular game after dice for a while.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 13, 2020, 08:21:14 AM
I will do the same if I see a cut in my salary I will also cut my time and money I spend in gambling and if the crisis is much worse than the salary cut I'll definitely stop gambling until I fully recover from the crisis I'm facing, in life we must know what are our main priorities and gambling is not one of my priority.
Actually it is the reality that once we are into some sort of trouble or crisis we often quit our addictions and hobbies for sometime. In my case I never get into such crisis but once I was in a tough situation a few years back when I had recently moved to a new place and I was having issues with the rent and everything because my salary was not too thick and I remember how I stopped all my hobbies and in fact most of the unwanted activities I used to do and instead I used to utilize that time doing mini-tasks for people and earn some extra money to support myself.

So I would say that once anyone of us falls in any sort of trouble we usually forget our addictions and focus on the issue and anyone is still unable to do so, he is into serious problem gambling.

~Snip

Well at first Bugsquasha should prove his claims , he stated saturday that he will post in a few hours a video showing all of this , here we are monday evening and nothing . Smiley
Like I said, I am not saying he is right or he is wrong, I am not doing this based on bugsquashas claims I am doing this because lack of response from Fortunejack themselves. If fortunejack simply said "no there is no such thing and he is wrong" I would just believe and continue to play but we haven't really seen them go out and prove him wrong neither have we? It means I am not going to play until this is fixed in the sense that we get a response or some sort of answer to this claim. Maybe bugsquasha is completely wrong, maybe he can't do what he is claiming, maybe fortunejack is rock solid with no way to enter, but that doesn't change the fact that they didn't responded at all and I can't know how good they are before they decide to answer him back.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 10, 2020, 06:05:03 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.
Don’t worry man, this is not the end there is still a lot of opportunities left for you. As a matter of fact the price is already going up and went up by 7.25% in the last 24 hours. Litecoin is one of the coins that correlates with Bitcoin price movement, so I know that there is this possibility that after May BTC Halving when Bitcoin price starts to increase Litecoin will be going up with it alongside other coins like Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.

If you have not sold yet and you’re still holding that money in your wallet I will advise you to keep holding it and not sell yet, there’s still a lot of opportunities left and you will recover everything you have lost soon.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resist all temptation to fomo on: March 10, 2020, 05:35:31 PM
Some people thought that the price of BTC will keep going up when it reached $10,000, they thought that’s how it works, they forget that Bitcoin is a volatile asset and it doesn’t go up at all times, same thing with other cryptocurrencies that are volatile.

Now that the price of Bitcoin decreased and same thing with assets like Litecoin, ETH, BCH and the rest of them, a lot of them now saying that cryptocurrency has failed them especially in this time of Coronavirus😂 funny thing is that they forget that a lot of assets like Dows, precious metals all faced the decrease in price and gold fall was around 3% or so, not much though because it’s a stable investment. Since cryptocurrencies are volatile, their fall will be high for sure.
610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The End of Crypto Signal Groups on: March 10, 2020, 05:00:16 PM
I still consider signal groups to fail because charts fail and indicators fail and when people do not listen to those but listen the signals it was always funny. I mean there was a ton of telegram groups where people sold signals and made a ton of money, what they did? They simply created a bot that notified people when bollinger band dropped under something or went over something and that's it.

So, as you can see when the "signal" was explained to people nobody really would want it but when it is unknown and it is simply a mysterious "there will be x coin going up soon" type of messages that makes it a lot more convincing for some reason since the real data is not as convincing and most probably wrong as well. This all came from ignorance and stupidity, nothing else.
611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes every crypto trader should avoid on: March 10, 2020, 04:10:25 PM
Exactly true, the biggest teacher of all time is life, there is no teacher that can teach anything better than life can teach it to a person.

You can try to help people as much as possible but no one will learn it better than their own trading and learning. If someone tells you to put a stop loss and you do, you will not learn anything, you just did what you were told to do and you have an idea of why you did that but not a great grasp of why.

But, if you fail to listen and you do not put a stop loss, you will eventually lose money and that will cause you to actually learn why you should put a stop loss when trading. That is basically the reason why experience triumphs over education almost in all parts of the world, I would trust a 53 year old garbage man with my money over an 19 year old economy student.
612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Random coin picks experiment on: March 10, 2020, 03:31:50 PM
Yeah and my advice would be to drop the 100 million market cap to 10 million because there are very few coins that are above 100 million market cap right now whereas when you lower that to 10 million you will get a lot more of them into the calculation. Plus when you lower it like that you get a lot more volatile coins as well which could end up with a lot more profits too.

If you could do 10 coins like said before and do 10 million+ that would actually become something very dangerous (maybe) but also something a lot more fun for us to watch as well and I would personally watch it closely to see how it does. I wanted to something similar but I didn't had the courage to do it like that so I just settled with trustworthy top 10's instead for my portfolio.
613  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best p2p + wallet app? on: March 10, 2020, 12:27:46 PM
Hi

What is the best app mobile to trade p2p (like bisq and localbitcoin). That can I fiat money eur, usd... to buy Bitcoin?

Coinbase is what comes to mind for being the biggest and best app to buy bitcoin with fiat. There you can buy cryptocurrency by using debit card, bank transfer, SEPA transfer, and more.
The op said he’s looking for a p2p exchange and wallet that he can use for buying bitcoins and Coinbase is a not a p2p exchange and wallet. An example of p2p is Paxful and they have an app which carries both an exchange and a wallet. The app is available for both iOS and Android, you should check it out.

LocalBitcoin and Bisq doesn’t have mobile apps, but Bisq has a notification app, I don’t see any need for such people if you’re not going to be able to trade with it. Another p2p is Bitquick but they also don’t have a mobile app. Paxful is the only p2p with a mobile app.
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin declined 3% as the coronavirus spread in italy on: March 10, 2020, 09:08:51 AM

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-traditional-markets-drop-3-as-coronavirus-spreads-in-italy

As the coronavirus spread in Italy recently, bitcoin market has dropped 3% and also the traditional market including all the top ranked cryptocurrencies. Can coronavirus spreading be the cause?
Market has crashed big as of recent and dropped to a low of $7,000 plus Sad. I wasn’t even expecting the price to fall that much, I’m surprised it did. There are lots of possible reasons as to why the price has fallen to this extent and Coronavirus outbreak is one of the reasons that might have triggered the sudden huge decrease in price.

Another issue that might have caused the price of Bitcoin to drop this low is the activities of BTC miners who have been selling less than what they mine. Apart from that some experts have said the PlusToken scam is among the things that caused the fall in price. I also want to note that there have been a decline in the trade volume of Bitcoin.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not suitable as a currency, it's a store of value on: March 10, 2020, 08:10:00 AM
I understand what you’re trying to say man, and you’re right, I’m not going to lie. When you ask this kind of question in a bitcoin forum you should know that no one is going to tell that Bitcoin is bad or whatever, no matter the situation everyone will always side with Bitcoin because this is a Bitcoin forum.

Bitcoin cannot fully replace fiat because there are ways that fiat is very important and better than bitcoin and Bitcoin also has its own ways of being better. Judging from the example you gave – I don’t think you can do such transaction with bitcoin right, it’s not going to be an instant transaction, unlike when you’re using fiat services like debit card and PayPal and the rest of them.

But like I said, everything has ways that they are better than the other. And judging from the way things are going I don’t think that Bitcoin would be the replacement, governments are already creating their own cryptocurrencies.

I am not jumping into conclusion, I have given them almost a month to comeback with a response that would be good enough to show me that bugsquasha is wrong but they haven't cared about it at all.

What I imagine is going on right now is that bugsquasha is right but FJ can't just come up and say "hey sorry guys its our own fault that your 2FA is not working properly like he said but we are working on improving that" and that is why they are keeping it a secret and working on it behind the doors.

What they only had to do was provide him with some username and password and ask him to break it when it has 2FA installed, if he could then figure out what the problem is and fix it, if he couldn't we would have no problems at all. It is the lack of response to this that made me quit and I will not comeback until this gets a proper response eventually.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: March 09, 2020, 05:31:07 PM
I seriously doubt there is something the head coach of Real Madrid doesn't know that you guys might know. On top of that this dude is Zidane, one of the best players of his era and probably all time, he was always a smart dude and he is doing this manager thing very very well as well.

He must know something we don't and I know it is a sad affair that they lost to bet is type of team but that doesn't change the fact that they are still in second position with just 2 points behind and also beat Barca on el classico as well, so they are not really doing all that bad neither. I personally think Madrid and Barcelona is on a transition period right now and will probably unbelievably amazing in few years again when they build their teams to a higher level with new generation.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 09, 2020, 04:25:51 PM
That is the difference between Lakers and Clippers, Lakers have a deep bench that could help them whenever someone is cold, clippers no longer has that. I personally still think that Lakers will be champions this year, Clippers were seen as the best candidates but I doubt they will achieve that this season, maybe next season when they get some better players from the trading off season or free agency or even maybe some rookies I don't know but its not this year.

Rockets screwed themselves, Lakers have 3 big man that can outplay anyone in rockets so they will destroy them no problem, there is really no rivals for Lakers this year when you consider Lebron AND rondo will play on playoff mode as well, those are HUGE differences between regular season and playoff levels of Lebron and rondo.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 09, 2020, 03:34:08 PM
United is just not a team chemistry coehision right now, if they were to play together decently they would be a decent team but there is a lack of discipline and some consistency as well. So, they play like this some games and play bad in others, however it is still United, they worth billions and they buy whoever they want, maybe they are not the United of the past when Sir Alex Ferguson was at the helm and maybe they might not be making so much more than other teams and even maybe make less but they are still one of the most known teams all around the globe and that makes them earn some money.

In the end I feel like their troubles are about to be ending next season, they had all the troubles last year and couldn't figure out how to fix it this year as well, I am sure they will do it next year.
620  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: March 09, 2020, 01:03:18 PM
There is really no possible way that in 50 years there will be no governments, the world doesn't run around that fast at all even with the huge advancement of technology and maybe we can finally have people on mars actually living there like the ISS.

Governments are based on racial differences and even though we can't really call it racism because everyone is entitled to their own nations, we can't really say it has nothing to do with race neither, nobody wants to live in a one full government world where everyone lives everywhere because some nations are better to live and some nations wants to keep it that way whereas some nations are bad and poor and nobody really wants to live there. So if you make it a global thing that would create a huge chaos.
